Drink responsibly. Yeager Meister. LeCure. 35% alcohol by volume imported by Master Yeager Meister, US White Plains, New York. America leads the world in medicine development. It matters. Lost cold and let it go from the high slot into the avalanche zone. He'll get the champ scores. Ryan Nugent Hopkins does a give and go with Conor McDavid. Nature's side of the net. The McKinnon jammed it on goal, comes Reese, Nature's scores.

Martin Nature's off the left side, got the rebound, makes it two to one for the avalanche. They're all getting out past rice saddle centers. They didn't flood the chance. Scars! Jack Roslavic, cross to nursing shot. Scars! They're shot it, directed by Nugent Hopkins into the oiler zone to Cigree, crossed in front of the net off. Well McKinnon, it goes wide and Ingram got run over. Call a lot of players as a major in game misconduct for goal tenor interference. Nathan McKinnon's out of the game. Wow. And the shot saved me by Jerry. Puck on the blue line, McCarr, in front of the net. Oh, what a stop by Jerry, and he covers it up. And Tristan Jerry, welcome to the hockey game. Out of the right wing point, Mollinsky, to Nick Chuchkin's scores. Nick Chuchkin with the redorect. He's trying to find dry saddle out to McDavid. Scars! Conor McDavid with a power play goal. I'll just a great give and go from McDavid to dry saddle back to Bouchard.

Passed it to McDavid. The shot ricocheted wide and McDavid got it off the right flank to Leon back to Conor. Dry saddle at center. His shot goes in, but time had expired. And the Edmonton Oilers with a fourth re-win in Colorado tonight. Well, the owners, you know, Thai Emerson got drilled twice in the first 30 seconds of that game. And then an unlucky sequence as the puck was outside the line. It hit the back of a facility pit coals and stick and then a Colton scored boom. It's one nothing for the abs that went a minute in. And I'm going to guess most of you are like, uh-oh, but Edmonton battle back, but David on his own entry and they left Nugent Hopkins open ties the game 1-1. Then the abs on the power play made it to one in the great play by dry saddle. End of the first period, knocks the puck down and finds Rosalvek elite level finish. We're tied at two. Nurse strong play sets up the newton Hopkins 3-2 goal. That's a late in the period. You heard the net drive, but it happened late in the second period on the net drive

and Nathan McKinnon and I can want to ask you. You can text us on the ask the fine floor sex line. Did you think that should be a major penalty? It's 7-8-0 for because you don't often see that get called a major penalty. And he got all of them Conor Ingram in a game in which Edmonton had lost Colton Doc in the first period lost Ty Emerson at the end of the first period. Then Conor Ingram gets knocked out of the game. McKinnon ends up getting the order. It didn't score in the power play. The abs tied it, but then the next time Edmonton got a power play, they won the game. Hard fought victory, solid relief performance from Tristan Jari. Oiter's power play went two for four here is Chris Noblock. Power play's been doing all year, you know, over 30%. So, you know, I've seen a lot of good penalty kills, but, you know, our guys usually have an answer for it. So whether it's for shards with a shot or the gave it in dry soul, making plays or, you know, the Hojanheim and finding ways to score goals.

So, yeah, they do have a good power or penalty kill, but, you know, I just had a lot of respect for our power play. All right. Noblock had these thoughts on the McKinnon major penalty. That's a difficult one. You obviously have to protect your goal, these, you know, whether it was accidental. Well, obviously it wasn't on purpose, but it's something you have to be careful with goal tenders. So, you know, we weren't able to take advantage of it with any goals on that power play, but obviously they lost a good player. To say the least, Tristan Jari came in. He was solid. Here's Chris Noblock. He should feel very good about this. You know, it gets in there and 30 seconds left in the second period, and he's tested two times. And then in the third period, he made some big saves, a couple on the power play or Colorado's power play. Yeah, he should feel very good about this. And, you know, we're going to definitely need him right away once or if not twice, going into this back to back.

To say the least, and we discussed that on yesterday's show with Elliott Freeman. This team is going to need Tristan Jari. Here's Jari on coming in last night. I think it's always tough to see someone go down, and it's never easy to watch that, but I think just having to be prepared and mentally strong right off the bat, I think that's all you could really do in a moment like that when stepping in. And Ryan Newton Hopkins, who scored twice at these thoughts and the others, back-to-back road winds over Vegas and Colorado. I think these last two games, we understand where we're at, how important these points are, no one hurt you play. We're playing against the best human league, we're going to have to bring it. And I thought we did a great job, but yeah, I mean, these are games that you can look back on next month and really rally behind and understand that we play like that. We can beat anybody. All right. And we're going to talk about Evan Boothshard in a second, but I'm going to use this by talking about the Buffalo Sabers, who are 29-5-2, 29-5-2 over their last 36 games.

That's half a year. That's not fluke. That's when you're going good. Well, since December 1st, 39 games, or sorry, Boothshard, Hudson and Dahlene are the top three scoring defenseman in the league. Evan Boothshard since, as 14 goals, 53 points plus 17, Hudson is second with seven goals plus 45 points, he has plus 27, Dahlene, like Boothshard plus 17, he's got 44 points in 39 games. So Boothshard has eight more points than any other defenseman in the league. Rurenski, who's going to be in the mix for the heart, he has 44 points in his minus three since December 1st. Kail McCarrer is eighth, by the way, at 34 points and 38 games plus four. Last night, Boothshard plus two in that game did a good job killing the second and third penalties off, played a big factor, he had a tremendous performance. At some point here, you wonder if he merits consideration to be seriously in the mix for the Norris Trophy.

Former Reuters captain and defenseman, the head coach, the Abitoil King's Jason Smith, when we're returning orders now. Protein is now at Starbucks, and it's never tasted so good. Bob Stopper with the others down in Big D and Dallas, Texas. This text comes into us on the Ashley Feinflores text line from Crystal. Why did some people think it should have only been a two-minute penalty when Ingram got

it at blood? They need to protect the goalies, and it needs to be a major. That one comes to us from Crystal. Crystal, 30 years of 18 years of being an NHL analyst, and I guess 50 years of being watch of the game, I'd suggest you what would have happened 40 years ago. If you're out over the golden or like that, the rest of the player is on the Goldener's team, would have jumped you and kicked the 11, you know what, out of you. But the game has changed a bit. I was a little bit surprised. You got a major penalty. That's, uh, go off to the River Creek Resort, because you know, hotline his team played today. He is the head coach of the Emmets and Oil Kings. He's the former captain of the Emmets and Oilers. Jason Smith for the Oil Kings report brought to you by Sherwood Power Sports and Marine. You're home for boats, ATVs, motorbikes, and all the gear you need. Jason, by the way, did you, uh, game against the Colorado Amelage?

Uh, I didn't, uh, see all of it. I saw some of it, but I did miss the run into the net, but I didn't see it, uh, the, uh, on the replay this morning. Is that a major penalty by today's day and age? I don't know exactly what, uh, what they call and what they don't call. I think there's a lot of, uh, a lot of gray area. I mean, uh, if somebody had done that when you were captain of the Emmets and Oilers and on the ice and run over for the sake of argument, uh, Tommy Sellers, uh, Tommy Sellers, Dwayne Rolesson, it would have taken you how long to jump the guy immediately. Well, I think probably wouldn't have took long, but the game has obviously changed from, from where it was to where it is now. And I mean, I think in a lot of ways for, for the good and, uh, in some, in some ways, for, uh, you know, uh, for, for your, uh, conventional classics and I think they would still love the physical side of it. Yeah. Well, I will tell you this, uh, the owners victory in 1998, over, uh, and you were not

here yet on the team at that point, right? Against Colorado. And you're not arrived, yeah, you were not in, you were not in Edmonton in 98. Yeah, no, my favorite, favorite upsets of all time because they had an incredible team. Let's talk about your team. You played a hockey, hockey game today, a six, one victory. You guys are going pretty good right now, aren't you? I mean, you played, I thought you played pretty well the other night. Uh, we got, um, it's these Saturday night. I know Cam Moon and me both watched your game and then the Bakersfield game, but, uh, you bomb medicine hat. You lost the tight one against Prince Albert and then a big victory today against Bonacci. What do you think of how your team's playing right now, Jason? I know. I mean, uh, we're, uh, we're playing pretty well. I think, uh, you know, the, the first, first period against PA, not even the first period, probably the first, uh, 10 or 12 minutes. We were kind of got into the turnover game and, uh, you know, making the game easy for them to play opposed to making it hard on them.

And I mean, for, for the most part, that game, five on five, uh, was a competitive, real competitive game, uh, a playoff game and just felt like that within the energy amongst the players. Um, you know, tonight, today's game, uh, the afternoon, uh, or 11 o'clock there with the kids in the crowd, the hockey, hockey, hockey day was loud and, uh, our guys, uh, adapted well to, you know, not really playing a game at 11 o'clock all year and came home and played well. Here right now, you got what five games left in the regular season, your third, and you're, you're firmly in third, like Calgary's not going to catch you. You, you're not going to catch medicine hat, um, Saskatoon, they're pretty much six. Like you, you kind of know right now that you're going to be playing the blades in the opening round of the playoffs, don't you? Yeah, I mean, I think there's, there's pieces in place. I mean, you never, you never really know until the games are all played. I mean, uh, I would, I would assume after,

get here, there'll be more, you know, everything may be maybe sorted out or, you know, you have a better idea of what, uh, what direction it could all be going. But, uh, I know we, we're going to do everything in our power to, uh, to play well, make sure we stabilize our spot and, and, uh, not end up having to go to, uh, the Brandon in that four or five game. Uh, you, uh, Brian Saturday, where are you guys Sunday? We got Brandon at home and then, uh, we got, uh, in Calgary. So that's all right. I'll tell you what I'll see us, yeah, we'll see you Saturday night, okay? Okay, we'll see you then. There you go. That is, uh, the Gator Jason Smith, the former captain of the Edmonton coach, the Edmontoyle Kings are 41, 17, 3 and 2. Uh, they have a plus 71 gold differential, but medicine hat is just been unreal. And, uh, they're nine and one in their last 10 Prince Albert 720 and one in their last 10.

And, uh, again, the oil kings, uh, is a stress tomorrow against Dallas, Friday in St. Louis, the team will fly home after the game against St. Louis, uh, the Edmonton oil kings Saturday night at home against the Brandon Weekings. That'll be a good game. And then Sunday, the Edmonton orders take on the Nashville Predators. It is four 20. But Dias has an 880 news, whether traffic update. And when we come back here, Ola Brun will join us and believe me, you're going to want to hear this conversation. The comedy movie of Ben of the Year, Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice coming only to Hulu and Disney plus this Friday. Time to party. That's a great attitude.
