Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney died on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the age of 84. According to a statement from his family, he passed away from complications of pneumonia, as well as cardiac and vascular disease. 
Cheney served as the 46th Vice President under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2009. He was a long-time figure in Washington politics, also holding positions as White House Chief of Staff for President Gerald Ford and as Defense Secretary for President George H. W. Bush.
