Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast her as a larger-than-life personality with an enormous entourage, designer everything, and a lifestyle that demanded constant explanation. What Jen Shah didn't explain — until federal agents showed up at a cast event — was that her business empire was built on a telemarketing fraud scheme that targeted thousands of vulnerable people across the country, many of them elderly. She pled guilty in 2022 and was sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison. We look at the mechanics of the scheme, the victims it left behind, and what the cameras captured that nobody thought to question.
