You have four minutes book and do you have four minutes? I will have four minutes to read the entire chapter because it's only two and a half

1:04pages. You need to be a one-take wonder. Please. Please. Give me a break. Clearly. Of course not. Right. Of course I will. I'll be perfect. No problem. And then I have to inflect on words that are actually spoken by me such as get to talk in or get out. I love it. So I am a voicing chapter 39 tomorrow morning at some studio down in Overland Park. Very excited. And by the way, he was in yesterday, you were obviously at a funeral. Sorry. By the way, um, and he says he doesn't have it in them to write a second one. That is a long process. Have you ever thought about writing a book? No. And here's why I know people who have it is the longest process. And then even if you can self publish or find someone to publish, it is a full-time job

2:04then marketing it, trying to get people to read it. And you know how much noise there is out there. It's like, I'm going to start a podcast. I, I, not know. I don't have the bandwidth to do any of those things anymore. Well, I have a buddy who used to hold down this time slot on K and BZ. I hope I'm not violating a trust here, Jim Rose, who left here in the early 2000s. This was back when we were in news station in the morning and sports in the afternoon. And Jim, Jim did, um, sports show in the afternoon here on K and BZ. And he left here and went to become the voice of the Nebraska corn huskers. And also the morning host on KFA B and Omaha. And at the same time as he's doing all of this stuff, you know, every Saturday he's on the road somewhere. Yeah. And every morning he's on the road in Omaha or he's on the air in Omaha. All the while he publishes a coffee table book of which I have two copies on the history of Nebraska football. And it is brilliant.

3:04I mean, he goes way back, you know, to the early 1900s, 1800s, whatever. And he had to tour the state of Nebraska, promoting and selling this coffee table book. And he was burning the candle. I mean, Dave, Dave, and honestly, I don't know what it costs to print. But let's say your profit is $5 a book. You know what I'm saying? You have to do that because you love it and you have something to say and you throw it out into the universe and you don't care if anyone reads it to do it and try to make a thing of it. Look at how many best selling authors and one of them in 2024, I think, where they are writing and trying for 30 years. And then finally, they hit one. I mean, it has to be a full time passion and job that I do not have. See, and that's what I don't understand. Like you look at some of the most prolific authors of our time and I'm going to give

4:09one who's fiction and one who's nonfiction. Look up the bibliography of Stephen King. Oh, there's so many. He releases one to two books a year. There's no way. Well, he's got it down. And his name automatically sells the next book. But is he writing all of these books? Oh, I'm sure. With the thoughts that he has, if he doesn't get him out, he'd become a serial killer. Here's the other one, and I'm not convinced that this guy writes all of his own books. Bill O'Reilly. I'm Sarah Turnie. He has the idea of writing about historical figures. I'm going to do this. Someone else probably helps him research it, right? There's always a second name on the book. Yeah, of course. I was going to say, I don't even think he writes a word of it. I think that he dictates what he wants it to be about and then allows them to use his name to make million. Bingo. Sure. Bingo. Yeah. Did you see a judge has denied the emergency order in the lawsuit against Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey over 1587 prime. A judge has denied the emergency, the emergency, give me a break. The emergency temporary restraining order sought by a sneaker company that no one's ever heard of suing Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey over the name of their Kansas City restaurant 1587 prime. The judge has ruled against 1587 sneakers, finding the company waited too long after

6:14the restaurant opened to request the emergency action. That might be true. The court also raised questions about whether jurisdiction held over a Kansas City-based restaurant and who has that jurisdiction. The owner of 1587 sneakers filed the lawsuit in mid February. They described themselves as an online shoe and apparel company again that no one has ever heard of and they want Mahomes and Kelsey to be forced to change the name even though that's their jersey numbers. And the federal judge said, no, is that correct? Well, the federal judge said that you can't force them to close the restaurant while this plays out in court or cover up the name or the greatest publicity stunt ever because to your point, Dana, prior to this lawsuit, I had never heard of 1587 sneakers, but now they're in the New York Post, they're in people magazine. I mean, they're all over the place, granted, not for the best reason, but do they make good shoes? I don't even know what shoes they make. It's online only and no one's ever heard of them, Dan. Let's check it out. The LA City Council has voted overwhelmingly to designate the so-called Brady Bunch House

7:20in the San Fernando Valley as a historic cultural monument. I'm surprised it wasn't already. The vote grants landmark protections to the House on Dilling Avenue that was used for the exterior shots of the TV sitcom that ran from 79, 74, ended in 74. Oh, wow, 68 to 74, 69 to 74, really close, Dan. I just watched the reruns then, huh? Interior shots were never shot inside the home. No, it's on a soundstage. That is correct. They do it. That is correct. Like the golden girls. Remember the orange kitchen and the wall of an, because back when we were, that was fancy. You had the wall, yes. The open staircase is in that something new. It was pretty cool, it was fancy as we watched in reruns in the 70s.

8:22In the House went on the market in 2018, the cable network, HGTV, won a bidding war, that drove the price up to $3.5 million. It was listed at 1.6. Wow. They used to do tours in the house. Oh, no. They used to do tours, yep. When we get back, I'm going to tell you a major fast food chain is offering a six figure salary for you to taste its food. This is interesting because I'm pretty sure that menu has not changed in 50 years. One hundred thousand dollars to be the chief tasting officer. And I do have to do a seat food. Find me up.
