British troops train for war with Russia from the London Underground

British troops converted a disused platform of the London Underground into a subterranean war-game bunker to simulate defending against a Russian invasion of Europe.

Conducted under the moniker Exercise Arrcade Strike, the military drill explicitly designated Moscow as the enemy. The drill evaluated NATO's capacity to direct forces and survive long-range missile strikes by operating deep beneath civilian infrastructure.
