But that's similar to Mish'an, which we said previously, the second level of Betachin, which is a crutch. A Mish'an is like an aid, a crutch that helps you walk. Smiqah is not the same thing, really leaning is not the proper term for Smiqah. Smiqah means Talin, but it's much more than just leaning. A person can lean on a crutch too.

1:00A person can lean on a cane too. Smiqah means what Chazal say when a person leans on a carbon. That lach is when a person brings a carbon to the base of Miktash. He has to lean on it. Because if Smiqah means bechal kai kai, it means you're putting everything on the Rabaynishle. But all of your eggs, so to speak, are in the basket of Akadishborch. Now how does a person do that? And practically what that is?

2:00We're going to elaborate on it. But we have to first get context. We're dealing with an individual that puts everything on Akadishborch. He has nothing else in the back of his head that he's relying on it. Smiqah is bechal kai kai. All of your kai'ach, all of your abilities, all of your talents, all of your connections, you're throwing everything on the Rabaynishle. And the Mufarsham say it's based on a Possekin to Helim.
