Arthur Gary Bishop

About this episode

Arthur Gary Bishop was one of Utah's most infamous killers. Between 1979 and 1983, Bishop murdered five boys, but over years he molested many more. When the police closed in on him they found hundreds of photographs he had taken over the years of many different boys. Many have never been identified so police have no way of knowing how many victims Bishop may have had over the years.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Arthur Gary Bishop, a man conflicted between his Mormon faith and the sexual urges he had from a young age. What motivated Bishop to carry out his evil crimes against such a young and innocent group? Was it his excommunication from the church? Was it his claim that he was molested at an early age? The end result was that Bishop preyed upon vulnerable children to satisfy his sick sexual urges. His crimes progressed to murder and would have continued if law enforcement had not stopped his monster.
