1:04San Francisco. It feels like summertime feels good. I'm John Miller with today's Tony Vitello show and Tony the last I just have a very entertaining game and a very dramatic game for you. Obviously, they win the game, but that which is a great moment by itself by definition, but what we should number one, number two favorite moments of that game. Yeah, you left out the stressful part was a big word that would would apply to that. I think the gutty efforts we got, you know, webe obviously set the tone, but fully and smitty going out there for multiple innings at the end of a long year and being able to do what they did for us. I thought it was tremendous. I really, really liked and is probably a little underrated now that the game's over with. Turner Hill, doing everything he could do to move the runner from second to third base with no outs and we end up getting an RBI in that situation. And then I think Kavi executing that bump too, that there's a lot of pressure there. You're seeing a guy with a good arm and he made it look easy

2:07and got us in the position we needed to be to win the game, but yeah, there was a lot to pick a part. Shay Witt come, you know, came out swinging the bat really well when he first added him. He's been struggling a little bit and he found himself in two really big moments and got a hit. The first time against Stanick and then got a hit to end the game. And that hit, I mean, he ended up hitting it on the ground hitting it hard, but it was a ball up. I mean, you generally speak and they're trying to make you hit the ball on the ground, but he did make him throw him a pitch up or about belt high. Yeah, he got he's got kind of an uppercut swing too. So the whole thing was interesting to watch transpire, but I think Shay was just determined as all hell to put the ball in play. And so that's why I talked about the Turner at bat. I really feel like guys execute their job better. If they're solely just caught up in that job, I'm going to find a way to do what I want to do. And I don't think his plan was did a sack fly or get a base hit. I think his plan was just prior to two strikes, ideally put the ball in play and he accomplished his mission.

3:09All right. Now also quite a night for Bryce Eldridge. And a lot of games we can say that with the season that he's putting together. But the kind of at bats, the night he had in the field, that again, you have to kind of kick yourself to remember that guy's only 21. Yeah, it was not. I mean, kind of a outing saving catch for Webby, a game saving scoop on the throw from costs and extra innings. And then really again, one of those underrated things that popped into my head when you asked about favorite moments. It's not the sexiest play, but he laid off a pitch down before the sack fly to left field. The pitcher is trying to get him to take a bad swing, roll over, not be able to hit the ball to the outfield. And he stayed patient. And then when he got his pitch, he didn't try to do too much. He used the big part of the field, backspun the ball, and we get a huge run. All right. And that was the inning where Hill hit the ground ball to the right side with the guy over. And you guys kind of manufactured a run out of thin air. It was team

4:10baseball. And you know, it was maybe something we were lacking earlier in the years. Other than out swinging guys, we just weren't finding ways to produce or manufacture. And I think these kids have been working hard to do that. And hey, it doesn't work out every time when you're facing guys. Christian Scott was so good the other day against us from the Metz. But the theme is there. And it's been consistent. And I think they're learning too on the opportunities that they either have success and even the ones they don't. 7:08160 pitches to pitch them into Omaha in a super regional. We ended up facing him there and saw maybe a little bit of a lesser fatigued version of him, but nonetheless he was still good there too. He's not scared. Like I said, smart kid, but he's not scared and he gives you kind of a quirky, lefty look and throws every pitch with conviction. I think a lot of our guys game plan, he's revolver, I'm making sure his off-speed pitches are in the zone and then his fastballs, one of those with a little bit of carry. So working above the fastball today will be a big theme as well. Your bullpen for this game, how is that? Because it was another big night for the bullpen last night. Yeah, I know it was. We overextended guys, you know, really out in necessity more than anything. And when we're done here, I was going to talk to you, see if you're available tonight for us, maybe for three outs.
