New haircut? Looks good. Thanks man. Supercuts. Supercuts? Supercuts! Walked in, had an amazing stylist, affordable, and an out, even got a hot towel from my beard. Huh. Didn't even know they did beards. Oh yeah. Did a nice job cleaning things up. Makes sense that Supercuts has 4.8 stars on Google. 4.8 stars? Wow. Supercuts. Supercuts. Supercuts. Supercuts. Confidence without compromise. Book ahead at supercuts.com. Yeah. I mean, there's a lot going on today in general, but Robbie Ray pitching against us is probably
the biggest storyline, but he's going to be pitching against a lot of guys he doesn't know that well too. So I think it probably balances it out, but when it comes to a guy like Rafi and Bryce and those guys, it probably helps his preparation a little bit as far as what he wants to do, but he's got to go out and execute. And then the flip side of that is we have our hitters meeting. There's always good information on the pitcher and you're longer the guy's been in the league the more you have, but you know, there's a little bit more from our end too. But again, I would say on the hitters end, he could have the best game plan in the world, but he doesn't have control over what the pitcher's doing. And then ultimately, it comes down to execution too. All right. So now Rafi Devers back in there and he's had the really two full days. I guess you could go back and say it was really even more than that until game time tonight. So how is he? Yeah, he's good. You know, the guys actually had a t-shirt on celebrating him. They've kind of had some fun and games go on in these hitters meetings as the year's going on. They've gotten more and more entertaining, but it'll be exciting to have him back in there because I think he feeds off the young guys, but he also takes a lot of pressure off the
younger guys. I think they just feel like they've got to support him. And more times than not, he'll carry the load for us and it relieves some pressure on those guys. All right. Now, Robbie Ray and he did his best pitching with the Giants, his ERA with I think 3.08. Not that great as a Padre went. What have you heard? What's the report on what's been going on with him since then? Yeah, well, I think the initial outings were just about strike throwing and he had a little bump in the road at Riggly Field, even though we won that game and a couple outings prior to that. Where just the command wasn't the typical Robbie Ray command. I think for whatever reason that that kicked things off, you know, it's a drastic change for a guy that all of a sudden being a different locker and wearing a different uniform. So he probably knows better exactly what it is, but it's probably just those circumstances. But he's got back to giving them a quality start and handing it off to a bullpen. It's one of the best arguably the best bullpen in the league. So he's also asked to do a little bit different deal as it relates to getting them into the
fifth or sixth inning. All right. So big games for the Padre this weekend and for your young Giants, it's a nice little bit of a roll. It's been going on, especially here the last 10-11 home games. Yeah, it was a grind being on the East Coast and playing in three different cities. The way we did in New York always take a lot out of you and it was a long trip back. I think the guys were just refreshed to be back home. The fans always give us a little bit of an edge here and that can matter when you're playing in tight games like the extra inning game we had to come back, the close one run win. So all in all, it'd be great to keep the momentum here at our home park. Giants Padre is game one of the series, more with Tony Bicelo next. New haircut? It's good. Thanks man. Supercuts. Supercuts? Now more with you, guys. Matt and Drew Tony by Channel. And we were watching more subtle Myer take some batting practice before the game. In fact, you kind of pointed to me. Have you seen this guy hit yet? And I hadn't. So I got a little bit of a look. So where is he right now? When might he play? Yeah, he's anxious as what he is.
He really wants to play. He just wants to be out there. You could say does he need to establish anything? We're certainly not in the playoff race. For no other reason, he just wants to be out there and be a part of this thing and start to get his teammates, get to know his teammates even better. When you really find out about somebody is when you kind of go to battle with them. So we'll see if that opportunity arises. I know we're going to bring him with us to St. Louis so we can ramp up his activity a little bit and have our people's eyes on him. And then after that series, we'll see where we're at. By that time, we'll be down to nine games left. So we'll see if he can take part in any of those nine games. You got drafted by the Red Sox. He was considered one of the elite players in the country to come out in that draft. How would you describe him as a player? And by the way, he's a short-stopper. All our brand and property hits left-handed. Yeah, and he's big and physical, a little bit like Brandon. I think he's yet to tap into how physical he can get. Part of that is he's been injured. But I know a big thing we want to do is push his work ethic in the weight room and just
see how physical he can get. And then he's versatile. He can play third, second, short-stop. He's got a good arm. His actions are really fluid. So I think it'd be a fun little exclamation on the year. We're searching for any way to please the fans. One way that they would be pleased is to come to Oracle and see what maybe the future looks like with him playing for us somewhere out there. All right, so here we go. Molina for the Giants up against the old friend. I'm ready for the quadrige and that's the Tony Michel O'Shell for today. New haircut? Looks good. Thanks, man. Supercuts. Supercuts? Supercuts. Walked in, had an amazing stylist, affordable, in and out, even got a hot towel from my beard. Huh. Didn't even know they did beards. Oh, yeah. Did a nice job cleaning things up.
