It’s automatic. Our brains want to fill in the blanks for us. Especially the information we’re taking in is unclear in any way, we see what we wanna see, before we have time to second guess if that’s what’s happening. This is why I focus so often on positive mindsets and mantras, because from experience, perception can make your life around you go from trash to fun - without having to change anything but your mind.
