We talked to Willie just a couple days ago, especially about his early days, he made his big league debut with the raise. We talked to Willie right after this. It's around the park with Dave Fleming and our guest today is giant shortstop Willie, Adamus and look, we could talk to you anytime, but we're going back to Tampa and I did start to think about you as a young player, you know, you still act young, you look young, you play young, but you've been around this game for a long time now. When you think back to how your career started and the big leagues with them, does it bring back fond memories? Yeah, I mean, of course, you know, obviously I had great moments there and, you know, obviously I'm thankful for them giving me the opportunity to make it to the big leagues. I mean, obviously that's something special that you will never forget as a player and, you know, the way that they develop my talent, you know, coming up in the minor leagues is amazing, you know, the way that they, you know, develop their players is great.

1:01And, you know, they treat people right and they gave me the opportunity to come into this game and make it to the big leagues and just to establish myself, I mean, met a lot of great players there, you know, great people and, you know, went to the worst years with them and, you know, we have great memories together. Do you remember, I look at this short show, we don't have that much time, but like some specific stuff that they did for you as a young player, either that they taught or helped you learn about, do you remember some specific stuff that they did well? I mean, I can tell just like the way that they developed the talents by playing the game the right way, you know, playing hard, you know, playing the game, you know, doing the little things, like learning how to be everywhere on the field, you know, and I think that's, you know, when you learned the fundamental, like, you know, coming up and kind of ready for the big leagues and I think that's their main point in the mind like, it's just like learning the game and, you know, just knowing where you have to be and how you had to act as a professional baseball player. And I think that's, for me, that was the biggest thing I took from there.

2:03It was just like how to become a professional baseball player. Did you feel prepared for the moment when you first came up? Yeah, I mean, obviously it was a lot of, you know, emotion and, you know, obviously I was excited, but I was facing tough pitching staff, you know, face Chris sale my first day. So it was, it was obviously, you know, you think you're ready and then you get there and it's like, oh, I need to make adjustments here. This game is tough in the big leagues, but obviously, you know, everybody that is in the big league is talented. You just have to, you know, make adjustments and, you know, enjoy this, this game is, you know, it had some tough moments, but it also have great, great moments, you know? You know, I, you say enjoy the game. I just watch you come off the field. Here we are talking before batting practice. And you guys were taking some ground balls. You finish and the whole group, little hug sessions, some high fives, like it seemed, it does seem important to you to even after a drill or where you're working together to, to do something like that. Yeah, of course. I mean, I think the, the, the force of a group is when you're together, you know,

3:04if you together as a group, you can overcome anything. And I think for us, it's just building that, that chemistry and building that, that strength of being together, you know? And the more we can do it, the better we're going to be, you know, along the season. So I think for us, it's being, that, that's being the main objective. Objective is just being together and doing everything together. So we can, you know, be stronger. And I think that it's, you know, we've been playing better baseball because we, we've been, we, we are getting better at being together. All right. Last thought before we let you go, just projecting forward with this group. What are some things that you guys feel like you can do even better to get where you need to go? I think just like, you know, being more disciplined at the play, I think obviously the last like 10 days, I think team wise is being better, you know, being playing better baseball. Obviously, I think, you know, the, the consistency from, from us, you know, the main guys has to be better. And, you know, obviously, you know, it's early in the season, but we want to make those adjustments as quick as possible. So we can, you know, be, be better as a team.
