4181 The Heat Is On

About this episode

There are moments in life when everything feels like it's pressing in — the deadlines, the demands, the weight of expectations, and the relentless pace that never seems to slow down. And right in the middle of all of it, you realize something: the heat is on. Not just the kind that comes from outside pressure, but the kind that rises from within, the fire that tells you it's time to move, to grow, to step into the fullness of who you are and who you are created to be.

No matter what happens in your day, at some point you have to be willing to go the extra mile, play full out, and do whatever it takes. That's not a statement about perfection. That's a statement about posture — the way you show up when things get uncomfortable, uncertain, and yes, hot.

Because let's be honest, growth doesn't happen in the easy seasons. It happens when you're being refined, when you feel the pressure, and when you make the decision to keep going anyway.

Think about gold for a moment. Gold doesn't become pure by sitting on a shelf. It goes through fire. The heat removes impurities and reveals what was always there—something strong, something beautiful, something of tremendous value. That's exactly what's happening in your life right now. The heat you feel isn't meant to destroy you. It's meant to refine you.

Proverbs 17:3 reminds us, "The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart."

He already knows what's inside of you. The fire is simply bringing it to the surface so you can see it too.

You can do it, but you have to be willing to put in the work when no one is looking, stand for what matters to you with integrity, and learn how to take it to the next level. That means showing up in the quiet moments — the early mornings, the late nights, the behind-the-scenes hours where nobody is clapping and nobody is watching. That's where your character is built. That's where your faith is deepened. And that's where your next level is born.

It's easy to perform when the lights are on, and the crowd is cheering. But what about when the room is empty? What about when you're tired, discouraged, and wondering if any of it even matters? That's when your "why" has to be bigger than your "I don't feel like it."

That's when you dig your heels in and remind yourself that you are not doing this for applause. You're doing it because there is a calling on your life, and that calling doesn't take a day off just because you're having a hard one.

The K.I.S.S. ~ The heat is on!

Standing with integrity means you don't cut corners when nobody's checking. It means your yes is yes and your no is no. It means the woman people see in public is the same woman who exists behind closed doors. And when you live that way — when you let your actions match your words, and your faith match your feet — you create something that pressure can never crush. You create a life built on solid ground.

Taking it to the next level doesn't always look like a giant leap.

  • Sometimes it's one small, intentional step forward.
  • Sometimes it's choosing discipline over distraction.
  • Sometimes it's opening your Bible instead of scrolling your phone.
  • Sometimes it's having the hard conversation instead of avoiding it.

Every one of those choices adds up, and before you know it, you've moved mountains — not all at once, but one faithful step at a time.

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo

So yes, the heat is on. But you are made for this. You were not designed to melt under pressure. You were designed to be refined by it.

Let the fire do its work. Let it burn away the doubt, the fear, the "I'm not good enough" lies that try to hold you back. What's left when the flames settle is the real you — bold, purposeful, and unstoppable.

Yes, the heat may be on, but so is your greatness. Go create your now!

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

Episode 4181, the heat is on. Mom's, it's time to rediscover, rejuvenate, and renew who you are in mind body and spirit. Welcome to create your now your best selfie. The show that help you do just that. Here's your host, Certified Life Coach, personal trainer and nutritionist, Kristian Warno. Happy everyday, I hope you're having a fabulous weekend, you believe it. You already had the first NFL game. Are you excited? Always extraordinary. And we've got the US Open so much to talk about. It's inspiration, motivation, day, the heat is on. For those of you who are brand new to create your now, welcome to the Sook Unable Family. I'm so delighted of your presence. If you already have your opportunity, you want to head on over to creaturena.com, where you can learn more and sign up for the Kisses newsletter. They keep it simple strategy, everyday solutions, to live, love, and impact. Okay, take a deep breath. Let me tell you, this is a whirlwind.

You got to be ready. You just have to be. Because sometimes I think we get so wrapped up in everything that's going on in our own little, you know, bubble that we forget how much is going on around us. But even in that moment, right, because we've got those moments in life where everything feels like it's pressing in the deadlines, the demands, the weight of the expectations, the relentless pace that never seems to slow down. Right in the middle of all of it, you realize something. The heat is on. Ooh, okay. Now I could sing a song, but I'm not going to. But you know, that just kind of comes with it. Okay, I'm probably dating myself, knowing that song. But if you know that song, you totally get it. But it's not just the kind that comes from outside pressure, but the kind that rises from within, the fire that tells you it's time to move, time to grow, time to step into the fullness of who you are and who you are created to be, who you're becoming. And no matter what happens in your day at some point, you have to be willing to go that extra mile.

You have to be willing, willing, really to play full out and do whatever it takes. That's not a statement about perfection, right? It's truly about posture, the way you show up when things get uncomfortable, uncertain, in the ass, hot. Because let's be honest, growth doesn't happen in the easy seasons, right? It happens when you're being refined, when you feel the pressure and when you make the decision to keep going anyway, when you're tired, right? Think about gold, right? I mean, gold is beautiful. I'm talking about the metal gold. Gold doesn't become pure by sitting on a shelf. It goes through fire. The heat removes impurities and reveals what was always there, something strong, something beautiful, something of tremendous value, right? But that's exactly what's happening in your life right now. The heat you feel isn't meant to destroy you. It's meant to refine you. Proverbs 17 verse 3 reminds us the refining pot is for the silver and the furnace for gold,

but the Lord tests the heart. God already knows what's inside of you, my friend. The fire is simply bringing it to the surface so you can see it too. So what's going on in your life right now? How's the week going? I can just tell you right now, I am going multiple places every 24 hours. I kid you not and I'm saying multiple places, multiple states. I don't know if my head's going to stay attached to me. Thank the Lord that He did attach our heads because I might forget it somewhere. But you know, you can only do what you can do, but I'm here to remind you, you can do it. You can live the life that you want. You can walk with your Heavenly Father and be a woman of integrity, a woman of impact. You can be that mama who says, I care about my children. Oh, and I also love my spouse. Oh, and I have great friends that I want to care about. I have a community that I want to live on. You can do it, but you have to be willing to put in the work when no one is looking.

You have to be willing to stand for what matters to you with integrity. You have to learn how to take it to the next level. And that means showing up in the quiet moments, the early mornings, the late nights, the behind the scenes, hours where nobody is clapping and nobody is watching. That's where your character is built. That's where your faith is deepened. And that's where your next level is born. You know, it's easy to perform the lights are on, right? When you have people watching you at work and you know, you got to keep going. You got to keep going, right? The crowd is cheering. But what about when the room is empty? What about when you're tired? Everybody's in bed. What about when you're discouraged and wondering if any of it even matters? That's when your why has to be bigger than your, I don't feel like it. That's when you dig your heels in and remind yourself that you are not doing this for a pause. It's not about the accolades.

It's not about the achievements. It's not about, look at me. W-I-I-F-M, what's in it for me? You're doing it because there is a calling on your life and that calling doesn't take a day off just because you're having a hard one. You've heard me say this before, you got to put your big girl panties on when the heat is on. You have to. Standing with integrity means you don't cut corners when nobody's checking. That means your yes is yes and your no is no. That means a woman, people see in public is the same woman who exists behind closed doors. You're not changing masks out anymore. You are who you are and you are who you are becoming. When you live that way, when you let your actions match your words and your faith match your feet, you create something that pressure can never crush. You create a life built on solid ground. Making it to the next level doesn't always look like a giant leap. Sometimes it's one small intentional step forward.

Sometimes it's choosing discipline over distraction. Sometimes it's opening your Bible instead of scrolling on your phone. Sometimes it's having the hard conversation instead of avoiding it. You know I was doing a lot of watching this weekend, the holiday weekend, did you survive it by the way? I don't know. Sometimes I feel like I'm always trying to climb out of the ditch after a holiday weekend. Everybody else is kind of like, this is great. Even though we celebrated our holiday weekend on Sunday, it was wonderful. We had the family get together. It was great. All of us were together. We had the grand babies. I mean, it was just a blast. All of my kiddos except for one. One was missing. Unfortunately, she was on call, but sometimes those things happen. And so we always try to make time to connect another time. It was wonderful. But then the day holiday happened, which is Labor Day. And it's like, oh my goodness, what day of the week is it? It feels like you've lost a day, but you really haven't lost a day. But then you're like, wait, but I need to do all of this stuff.

And sometimes we get caught up in all the stuff. And we forget what really matters. And so I'm watching all this stuff, right? Not really. It does matter. I enjoy my Mama Sports Center, which is of course tennis right now. The US Open. If you don't know, Tiafoh and Ben Shelton, Ben Shelton took out Akarez. Yes, Carlos Akarez went down and Ben Shelton and American took him out, which was awesome. It was an incredible match. It was like almost four and a half hours, I think, short by like two minutes. They finished it, 333 Eastern time in the morning, not in the afternoon. Craziness. You got to tell me the heat was on that night, that morning, that evening. However you look at it, it was pretty hot for him. Tiafoh, unfortunately, two Americans, they played each other. Tiafoh and Nicholson and Nicholson played an incredible match. But Tiafoh won at the very end, took it to five sets. It was just great. So we're going to have, if you're US, we're going to have a man in the finals for the US

Open of 2026 for tennis. Fabulous. Congratulations. And then on the other side, though, we've got the women. Gula still in it. She's going to play Sabo Linka. And then you also have Coco Gough, who won. And it was a tight match for sure. She played on Drava, who actually took her on the first set. And Coco had to come back, winning the second and the third set. So I tell you and share all of that with you because those athletes that we look up to, and if you're in another country, think of the athletes that you know that are in the US Open right now that are playing. I love watching other athletes. It's not just about the US. I mean, I have zero of. I watch him. He's incredible from Germany. You know, he just took out in straight sets. Oh my goodness, it looks like three different names together. Van, something or other. And I'm so sorry, sir, that I forgot your name. But I see it in my head. I just cannot pronounce it. But anyway, he took him out in three sets. He's on to the semifinals. Congratulations.

But in all of this, right? These people did not get to where they were by just sitting on the sidelines. When they were tired, they still got up and worked out. Do you think Ben Shelton, when he finished this morning, well, he actually used yesterday morning, kind of sort of, but 3.33 AM on Wednesday morning, okay? And that was Eastern time. Do you think he just kind of said, oh, you know, I'm not going to worry about the rest of the day. If I had to put in a, you know, three and a half hours today, I shouldn't have to work out anymore. You know, he did. Why? It's called discipline. He had to. He's got a goal, right? In mind, what's your goal? Maybe your goal needs to be what's happening behind the closed doors versus what's in front of everybody. Are you aiming for that perfection, that applause? Are you really looking at saying, where do I want to go with this? All right. So let's jump to the NFL. I got a little bit of tennis now. Let's talk Monday quarter backing on a Thursday.

I know it doesn't make sense. Does it? But it's pretty incredible. Did you watch? It was the NFL opener. New England Patriots against Seattle Seahawks. Wow. Or I can say this. Maybe that was the only game that I watched because I was kind of all over the place. But I came in at the tail end. It was after half time. I didn't watch the first two quarters. I apologize. But it was actually a very low scoring game. It had time. It was 10-0. New England. I was like, the Patriots only have 10 points. I was like, what's going on? I'm like, wait, are we postseason? I mean, preseason? Or we started regular season. I mean, I had to kind of think back and go to my calendar and my head. And I'm thinking, no, no, the ninth night. That was yesterday. Yes. Yes. No, this is the regular. This is the first game. And I thought, wow. Did anybody know what happened in preseason? Like, anybody's showing up? Because it's 10-0. Like, what's going on? Isn't all defense game to understand? I didn't watch the first half. Well, come to find out. I'm watching the third quarter. And I'm looking like, yeah, they're not playing real great.

Well, all I can tell you this is that Seattle wasn't going to give up. And they had a great drive. And they went down, but they missed it. It was caught. And there was a, let's see, it was a, it was not off sides. It was an illegal shift on offense. I had to think this through. Mama Sports Center is a little rusty here, but work with me here. And so that negated that. It was third and nine. And so they had no choice. It was now fourth and nine. They had to kick a field goal. So now it's 10-3. New England's 10 and Seattle is three. Oh my, well, this is going to be a great game. Coming close, I think at that point, we were getting close to the end of the third quarter. Fourth quarter comes up. I'm like, OK, well, nothing happened the first half of the game. What am I thinking? Anything's going to happen in the fourth quarter? Oh, no, everything happened in the fourth quarter. Seattle intercepted at least twice, which resulted in 10 more points, of which brought them to the winning 13 to 10 Seattle Seahawks.

They stole it from New England Patriots. May, through at least two interceptions, and I think a couple others that put them in position to actually score. Seattle Seahawks, I mean. And I'm thinking, what is going on now? Of course, Monday, quarterback, and here on a Thursday, they're going to go back to the play board, right? And they're going to look at their playbook and say, well, look at all of this. Why aren't we doing that? Why aren't we, Monday, quarterbacking on the Thursday, or Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday, or Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday? We need to be, right? Our choices all add up. What we do behind closed doors, what we do in front of people, are we the same person? Because if you find yourself going, ah, I'm going to play an act like this, but then behind closed doors, you're going to be exhausted all the time. You can't do that. I get on here and chat with you and guess what? People who know me best are like, oh my gosh, Kristian, like, you're the same person. Like, that's really what you sound like. Yeah, I don't change myself because I sit here and put a microphone in front of my mouth. I know my children wish I would because then I wouldn't talk so much.

No, that's for another episode. But seriously, right? Who I am, I'm with you and I'm doing the best that I can with who I am in the present and who I am becoming because I haven't learned everything. I learned something new yesterday. I guarantee you, I will learn something new today. In fact, I look for those golden nuggets. I want to be refined. I want those impurities to be gotten out of me, like put me through the fire. And now I don't ask God to do that, by the way, because you got to be very careful what you asked for. However, I will tell you this, I'm always being put through the fire. And when you walk as a woman of impact or a woman of an integrity, you're going to be put through the fire. When you stand up for what you know is right, you're going to be put through the fire. You will be refined. And those choices add up. It adds up for, Zerv, it adds up for Coco Gough, it adds up for, Jess Pagula, right? It adds up for all of them, Tiafo and Ben Shelton.

It adds up for New England Patriots quarterback May, right? And it adds up for Jobby who made the actual winning touchdown at the very end. It was incredible. Actually, it wasn't touchdown. I take that back. Hold on, stop the presses. No, it was an interception at the end, because New England Patriots have like 31 seconds left in the game, fourth quarter, right? And he was throwing and May, that's where he threw his touchdown, his interception and Job got it. J-O-B-E, I believe, his last name. So I don't know if it's Jobby or Job. But either way, I pronounce it wrong, I apologize. But he got it. And I'm telling you his foot placement that he had, he got his left foot down, perfection, and his right foot came down with total at least four inch clearance from the actual, your outline, right, the sideline. That did not happen at that moment. He had to practice that over and over and over and over again.

He had to make sure that, okay, I got to work on some, maybe some dancing. Dancing skills, why? So I have balance. So when I catch the ball, I can all of a sudden feel my body and know that this muscle has to engage here. Is he thinking about all that? And then too many split seconds that he has when that ball's thrown to him that happened last night? No, I don't think so. In fact, I know that's not the case. It's all the choices that have added up to that specific moment in time. And as he practiced it and practiced it, right, he was able to nail it on the field when it mattered. What about you? What are you practicing behind closed doors? How are you building your resilience? Are you a person of integrity and someone who's willing to go on above and beyond to do what you know got it has called you to do? Whatever that is, I mean, it may be part of your profession. It may not be. It may be something you're doing within your church or your community.

Okay, I'm not saying that you're earning money on your calling. I'm not saying that at all. Please hear me out. I'm saying that you're living out your divine purpose here on earth. And that may or may not be connected to your actual job. And that's okay. There's nothing wrong with that. But everyone of those choices, right, whether you're choosing the intentional step or discipline over distraction or you're going to read your Bible instead of scrolling or you're going to have those hard conversations or you're going to get up and work out even though you know you're exhausted. Before you know it, you move mountains, not all at once, but one faithful step at a time. One step at a time, these two miles of greatness, my friend. Yeah, the heat is on. But you are made for this. You're made for more. You were not designed to melt under pressure. You were designed to be refined by it. To let the fire do its work. Let it burn away the doubt. Let it burn away the fear. Let it burn away the, I'm not good enough lies.

That try to hold you back. Because in what's left, when the flames settle, is the real you, bold, purposeful and unstoppable. Yep, the heat is on. But so is your greatness. Go create your now. Be present. Be incredible. Be you. I love you so very much. I cannot wait to see you on the other side. Blessing tags and lots and lots of love. We'll talk to you real soon.
