When Ryan's twin is starting to begin, it's on to rewind around with John Paulic and waiting. The 18 that makes sense that these things we see in the ring every week on TV is rewind around from Monday night, the loader Tuesday morning from the full stress inside is rewind around from Monday night on USA, now on the John and wait, take the mic. It is time for rewind a raw, the Birmingham Alabama edition of the show. We are going to be diving into tonight's edition of raw. I love the fact that our biggest differentiator now between WWE and AW is massive overruns and underruns by WWE. Well, we would be considered like average length for a rock in your opinion two and a half hours. Usually 1030 that they're off and we were off like 13 minutes early tonight, not complaining. I guess I'm curious about like the total content because like last week or the week prior

I forget now, like you just got on Netflix the entire total content like because it was a tape show and therefore you just saw exactly what the show was without commercial. As you do, like if you just tune into the archive and it kind of evens out at about like an hour 40, that's kind of typical it feels for raw. So was this any different? Let me see, I'll tell you right now actually. I guess you can. I, while you're looking that up, I watched AAA from Saturday night and this was like, this was like the odd week where they didn't have any like new tapings and they've got AAA next week. So they just used two matches that they had taped over the recent set of them and these two matches like were like a couple of minutes long. It was like a six minute match and a four minute match and they had to fill an hour. So it was like the most package heavy commercial laden episode ever. It was just like we have to put an hour show together and we just have these two matches

to air and it was like even it was La Parca coming out. He doesn't have the Latin American title that he just won last weekend. So they have to go to a video package of him winning the belt. They come back and are like he's still celebrating from winning this belt but he doesn't have the belt. It was just like a very bare bones part in the Punle La Parca edition of AAA to set up the big weekend coming up this coming Friday and Sunday. Yeah, I don't they don't have the length right now unfortunately. But last week's was an hour 38. So you know, right? I wonder if this one was any different. Folks on the post wrestling cafe, the XL edition of the show, we just we discussed more about Andy Williams. There was a statement today from the co-owner of enjoy wrestling and some of our own thoughts to about the continued memorials for Andy Williams. We also discussed the upcoming September 26th head to head battle between WWE and AEW in the Chicago market where tickets are now and as well, what what what we can expect

for this night where. I don't know, do you consider this like a main roster show? This is almost like you can't consider this like NXT or AAA. It is main roster talent, but not like the full. This is not like the big pay-per-view of the month. This isn't money in the bank, but it is. It certainly is a step up from just putting an NXT against AEW. Yeah, again, the card will determine maybe that, but it to me it feels above NXT. Yes. I mean, you got punk on this card, like that alone, it elevates the status of this show. And then also going over the TV this week with NXT and of course the Rebel Heart Show that is happening on Wednesday night. But before we get to RAW, we got to give a shout out to the man, the myth, the editor, Sean. I mean, he has just dropped his latest track and my goodness, I was fearful when I saw this. I didn't know how my wild adventure would be encapsulated by Sean. I don't know how he puts together all of these. He takes this insane jigsaw puzzle that we have given him and he somehow pieces it together

to form a story out of our incoherence. He does absolutely incredible work with our shorts. He and Luke are, well, we're coming up on a year actually of both of them being our social media editing gurus. But this one from Sean might be one of my favorites that we've had from him where he managed to just create this incredible recap of all of John's audio diaries and documenting the Sega of Neil Flanagan missing. We're not going to get flagged by airing our own video, are we? I mean, you know, that's a risk I'm willing to take. I think I know a guy looking for. Yeah, but a lot of work put into this as always. Thank you very much, Sean. Hoerel, extremely talented editor. Yeah, this out in the open out in the wild for everybody to see. This is where I feel the Brent Cross faithful will track me down. We shall see something tells me that I think they would be in an agreement with plenty of people. We'll see. All right, but you can check that out on our our YouTube shorts or wherever else you

Instagram TikTok, etc. It's all over there as well. Today we put out the new post pro res for the month with WH Park and Karen Peterson going over all the latest Japanese news from discussing the career, Miko Sadamura. Their thoughts on Rina winning the recent Stardom five star Grand Prix and Ken To Miyahara who has made his latest defense of the triple crown on route to trying to surpass Toshiyaki Kawadas record as well, plus talking about Stan Hansen's new role with all Japan after the passing of Dory funk Jr. Always a great roundup of all the Japanese news and they cover all the major promotions and minor promotions too. So that is up there for everyone Tuesday for those of you with access on the free tier of the post wrestling cafe. They are back the wellness policy with waiting Jordan Goodman and the man who has been found Neil Flanagan. I hope you all have milk cartons to drink from on Tuesday. Yeah, we we took a few I think a few months off actually from the wellness policy our

last show was well back in July. So we took we took, you know, we have a lot to catch up on the three of us. And so it'll be an open topics discussion and who knows what topics of discussion will be brought up. All right, that's coming up Tuesday and full schedule is up at post wrestling.com. We will have a rewind away this Thursday covering in your house final four, which way the runtime of that show is probably less than raw tonight, an hour and 47 minute pay per review. I mean, you know, but back when way is going to wake up on Thursday and watch this, I bet. I don't think you even have to stay up Wednesday to watch this one. That's that's it. That would help me this week. Certainly. So from what I gather, it's very much like a one that show, but beyond that one match, I'm sure there are a lot of really interesting things to discuss on this undercar. Well, it's, it's quite the time in WWF in 1997.

We will also have coverage this weekend on the cafe for members of a both triple mania shows that I will be covering on the site. There's a Friday night show and a Sunday night show. So those will be covered on the cafe this coming weekend. But let us go to Alabama in Birmingham, Russell takes number of 9,340, which is down 10% in the last time they were here July 14th of 2025 for raw that did over 10,300. The legacy arena welcomes the usos with their baseball bats and pipes that they have brought. And we knew it was live because I could see their faces. Well, they weren't bleeding, I guess. I guess not. They were bandaged. They were, they at least J was all bandaged up. And then Joe Tessitore promotes one of the biggest Russell mania rematches you could dream of tonight. Like, oh, really? Live Morgan and Stephanie Vaker. I'm like, nothing against this match, but that's pretty high billing.

This is like of all time. Have you named me one announcer who is entirely credible when making statements like this? Coming up tonight, it's the fourth best match of WrestleMania 42. The vision come out. No Paul Heyman yet again. And they're at full strength now. Braun says the vision is complete. They now run WWE. I have never seen a DQ finish that has resulted in such a clutch on a company as a division. They just, they came out and they just proceeded as though Braun won this match. And they have gotten control of the company. I thought for sure they would maybe address it or at least have Braun bring up, like maybe justify in his mind how somehow that was a win. But they just like completely steamrolled over any sort of logic and just had Braun accept that as if it was a win.

Like, even though I'm sure they was a DQ mentioned the DQ, but you very well could have missed this. And just assume that Bronson Reed helped Braun break her win. Like that was the, that was how you would have taken this if you didn't see the match. The match was never about who whose faction could lay the other out, right? It was about this guy versus this guy who could win between two people in a straight up match. Of course, heels cheat. Yes, I understand. And like you in some way all of this could just be explained in heologic. But I think like there was an element of maybe just, you know, credibility to Braun breaker that I think like you would want to protect rather than just being the heel who excuses his wins as if like or his losses as if they were wins, right? So I thought there was very little like, if not any effort actually made to try to justify the, the, the finish of last night. I don't want to deviate too much from the segment, but when we finished our show last night, I was left in a state of confusion.

And I felt that we did not have a solid enough answer for Braun breakers gear last night. The single, we had a big discussion about this and the single it if you missed it. It just simply read on one thigh, eat and dog eat dog. And I was really racking my brain. I was like, what are we missing here? This is like a puzzle. And my best defense of this is that Braun is the dog. Yeah. And it's dog eat dog. Oh dog. Okay. So, so shouldn't there be one more dog? He is the dog. Oh, okay, dog. So you're going to try best I have got. Okay. That's as much as I can, I can make out of you got to read it like a triangle. So you start from his face then down to one thigh then down to the other thigh at a bare minimum. This is a horrible. So, so John Cena, John Cena, John Cena sent me this link of Braun breaker talking, I

guess, out of character in in one of his press conferences where he like actually says eat. I don't think they showed that. No, he said eat. He like, he explains eat. EAT is an acronym for for something. Like, I don't know, endured, you know, endure some attack attack like train. I don't like dog. I don't remember. I don't remember. But it's a nice find for his acronym. But how does dog follow it? It's dog an acronym to I think like the gear designer just or maybe he whoever gave them the direction just like wanted to things that fit in three big blocky letters. One was eat because he that says motto in life and the other is is happens. His motto in life is eat. Yeah. This is a, this is an interesting guy. The more we learn about him. Okay. I think we could spend a whole podcast just talking about this. We could. We could. I gave this way too much thought.

So he's getting bombarded with Oba chance, but he says, Oba is not medically cleared. He's not coming. I took his spot as the future of WWE because of my brother and my best friend, Bronson Reed. And Bronson is just like, yeah, it's me. Reed says, Oba, you thought you were a fool. That was the case. Why didn't Reed just come out to DQ to attack bar like Oba at the start of the match, you know? Like what? There was no logic that and as expected, there was no logic. There was no logic to this at all. There was zero mention of the mystery phone call like all these things that were like, oh, what is that supposed to lead us to? Eight times out of ten, it's a dead end. Yeah. Anyone. So Bronson Reed, not explaining the nature of his DQ and why he did it when he did, explains that Oba, you thought you were a force of nature until you met the tsunami.

And there's no place for you on Monday nights. And Logan takes his turn. He insults the fans. Theory asks, Oba, who? And he says, Bronson says the dog will eat or sorry, this is theory that says this. The dog will eat when he qualifies for the money in the bank. Well, maybe, maybe we are trying to piece something together here. The dog will eat. Okay. So is Austin theory the dog owner? Like his Bronbroker literally just like the pet of the group. Well, see the Matilda of the faction? If Vince was still here, this guy would be paired with Butch. Yes, of course. Oh, I remember. They be lifting their hind leg and just leaving their business at the locker room. Or maybe Brons would be eating. He'd done. That's how it would end. It's a few, yeah.

It's dog versus dog. And Maxine says she will be in her own qualifier and that she's with a real man now. It's like, what man was she with before? Like there was no sexual relationship with Otis, Tozawa or Gable. So I don't know what she means, a real man now. Is that it? She's just with them like she hung out with them, right? Okay. She's technically with a bunch of guys now. I mean, she's got to be, we got to be consistent. Like she's talking about a lover here in Austin theory. Okay. Okay. I think maybe she's talking about her husband perhaps? Oh, this is setting up the Cam Hendricks Austin theory feud that I cannot wait. There as worlds collide. I can't wait. All this is fueling Mason Roek versus Cam Hendricks. You know, like if you hear, if you see their Twitter exchange, I mean, Mason Roek has been pretty much winning every single round just by bringing this up.

Okay. Well, something to really log into these guys, ex accounts to follow. So outcomes of Kiro Tozawa and they literally just laughed the sky off and Tozawa's like, don't worry, it's not me. I mean, why would you take me seriously? You're facing him and outcomes the returning Otis. And we got our Austin theory Otis match after months since Otis has last been on our screen. Can I just say like, okay, so they're making a big deal out of the vision being back now. I suppose full force, you know, minus Logan, of course, in the arms, like, but like, they are all at least present, right? They're all here. But can I just say how, how unimpressive like this group really does feel like despite being all together? It seems like an awesome sitcom. Wow, man, like even though all the bodies are there, I mean, this group really is missing a seasoned talker like Paul Heyman. And they're certainly missing the credibility of a main inventor, like a Seth Rollins, to really have you take him seriously.

And of course, like, Bronbreaker is on his way to becoming that guy, but he's not the full package talker that like you'd want in a leader. This is a group without a leader right now. You know, and I know Paul Heyman will probably fulfill that role. But I also just like, you know, when they say that they're the group that's taken over the WWE, I mean, come on. That certainly does feel like he'll speak because you can't even buy it mainly because I think Austin Theory still feels like such a low ranking, you know, like try hard, honestly, to fit into this role. I'm not saying the guy would have been like a a main event star, but man, if they had not like just done nothing with Grayson Waller over the last year, I think he really could have fit into this group. And I wonder like these last few months, I think he really could have at least been put in a position where Heyman is put to the side. And this guy could at least be their talker because they are they are missing that that presence that even a Logan Paul is not necessarily fulfilling.

You need a player like you need you need somebody to be the leader of the horsepin. He's up for it. He'll do it. He certainly would. Yeah. So he'll run their social media too. He would do it all for them. That's right. Himmy your phones. So theory and Otis theory gets pressed into the air and he slammed on the mat. Otis rips off his shirt and he goes for the caterpillar and it's the same finishes last night. We read just attacks for the DQ. We're not going to get our finish to Otis and Austin theory. We can't we can't beat one of these guys ends in seven minutes and three seconds as uh I'm just enjoying every different angle and image of Bronson Reed. He looks like someone different. This is like Mike Santana and 1999 Randy Savage. He's a versatile man. It turns out. So number one, I didn't think there was all that like much to speak of in the body of the match itself. Again, like I'm just not really compelled by really either of them.

But to me, Austin theory is somebody who by this point being in as such a prominent position as this, I think should really be a much more interesting wrestler and he simply is not. And by the end with this finish, like making you really feel like you've you know, spent your time very wisely, John, you know, watching and investing in this entire match only for another one of these DQ finishes. Not not only is it just unsatisfying for somebody watching the show, it's also making the vision look incredibly weak. Are you telling me that you you can't even your your fact should is not even capable of beating Otis without getting yourself. They really like the caterpillar. We can't come back from that. Yeah. Get the troops out. Usually like these sort of things happen when you want to abort on the match because you know you're on the losing end. So is this what this is what you're communicating to the audience that Austin theory is incapable of beating Otis from the alpha academy. And therefore you need to go on and read to just interrupt. Just remember, John Cena wanted to make his entire heel character this.

Yeah. So the whole thing is just a handful of finishes stuff that makes you grown. He wanted to make that the whole run. So the crowd is chanting for Oba. They continue to beat down Otis and to Zawa. They hit a running spear and then a jagged edge is hit when all of a sudden Oba appears backstage and he is worn by PD Williams. You're not cleared. And he just sends PD back to Canada. And Femi enters the arena to a big pop goes after Braun Breaker and read clears them out of the out of the ring and his ribs are taped up and theory uses a chair to know effect. He launches theory, but then it's Braun with a pair of spears and then he takes two tsunamis as they state that six tsunamis in 24 hours. And the officials are out. Breaker hits another spear and then read hits a third tsunami. I'm just going to say this like it didn't as much strike me last night, but we did bring

it up. But whether it was just like this was not the loudest crowd either, but in terms of like the chaotic tsunamis out of control, they just felt so ineffective here. And I don't know if it's like the Bronx and size or just the lack of reaction, but like this used to just be like the crowd just losing their minds here. And this one just felt so unimportant. Maybe it's just like you've seen the spots all often, perhaps. I thought it was all right. Like in fact, like, you know, for all my criticisms of the group, I do feel like they are making Bronson raid feel like a strong, refreshed, maybe even elevated, you know, focal point of the show. So much so that I feel like they're like I feel the feud now is oba versus bronzer and read and not so much a rematch between oba and bra. Yeah, because oba is not the character that should necessarily be having to go find

a tag partner. It's kind of weird. Like he's sort of his own guy here and as much as we would love to see it. He's going to make a difference. Exactly. He's going to be able to help him. Otis. Oh, maybe. Yeah. But you're right. It's probably read as the direction you go. Like they will probably circle back to Braun at some point, but I also feel like they, they really don't want to beat any of these guys. So it's like we're going into this program. They don't want to beat Otis. If they can't beat Otis, then they're not beating Bronson read in a few weeks either. And I think that's that is sort of going to be a limitation of like how much you can get away with just doing the cheap finishes. Like you can get away with it to an extent. But when that becomes just the pattern, the audience will latch onto that. But this too, you know, like I feel that they're so confident that they can like give you these bullshit non finishes because they're going to deliver you something satisfying into them. You know, seeing Bronson read delivered multiple tsunamis to Obefemi was their way of thinking, well, they're not going to get a finish, but you're going to get this.

But they are, I think going to the well a little too often with this September on the Post Wrestling Cafe, we're going to be presenting two editions of Rewind Away as we go back to February of 1997 to review the In Your House final four paper view. Then we're coming back to Chad, the slammy awards of 1996. Plus this month there's several big shows and we will have reviews of Triple Mania both nights from Las Vegas and from Mexico City. Plus it's CMLL's 93rd anniversary with John Pollock running down that card. Plus UFC 331, New Japan's destruction and Kobe. Book club and so much more including the XL versions of Rewind Araw, Dynamite and Smackdown. Join now at Post Wrestling Cafe dot com. We had a video with Royce Keys and OTM, their group 946 and they stayed. It's all about loyalty, no one is safe. And did you catch that they now have a fourth member of the group? I believe they have a rot wiler on a leash.

No, huh. So long term booking here. Somebody keep them away from Braun. I mean, oh my God, the dogs are out for dog. I like this group. This is, I think Royce Keys has been awesome in this role so far. OTM, I haven't seen enough of them in this group yet to see how they'll acclimate here on the main roster, but I think this has been a complete savior of Royce Keys on the main roster where he was kind of just floundering in a baby face role and he's been great in these segments to me. I agree. I think it's an improvement over what he was doing before, which was clearly not working for these audiences. They're making him look more intimidating. And I think it's an improvement. I'll say that. I'm still not really sold on it being at this level. Like to me, they haven't been able to show that much depth yet. They're just like, they don't, we just know they're like from the streets and that's

kind of it. Maybe that's all you need, but I'm looking for something a little bit more. Were you looking for Arson? Yeah. Yeah, I am. So what does 946 mean? It's not an area code, but it's what the zip codes in Oakland start with. I believe. Okay. So it's what we're doing. We're doing that. It's an Oakland reference. The Usos run into Jacob Fattu and they're going to call out OTM and Royce. And Fattu says this is what they want you to do. And they have nothing to lose and they spilled their blood. He knows how they roll. So they ask Jacob to call the play and he says to lay low and play it slow. It's my monitor usually as well. T shirt coming up. Would you lay low and play it slow? I mean, knowing it's a bloodline angle, they will lay low and play it very slow. And their next move will be their best move. So they head off to the locker room to talk because they realize we can't we can't disclose

our plan on television here with cameras in front of us. So somehow these cameras found their way even into the locker room. Well, they're they're crafty. These production assistance here. They know where to hide the cameras. I will say I think Jacob is really good in these. I think he if you're trying to do this sort of like gang warfare type of thing like Jacob's voice to be sounds very authentic. And I buy it when he's talking about these sort of things. And he to me adds certainly a much more. I don't know, a compelling element to all of this. Then I do think the uses by themselves would be able to provide. During the commercial Byron Saxon interview Chad Gable. This was the most generic babyface promo you can imagine. He's got a match of Dragon Lee next week. He says Dragon Lee, you are exceptional. And you deserve this match. But it took me 10 years to get this title. And that's what you're up against next week.

And I'm defining my legacy. So next week, just remember everyone, keep on running, which is the lyrics from his theme song. Oh, is that really? Yes. I believe this was awful. I'm a man. I think in the scissors, that's like, come on. Oh, yeah. This will be an awesome match next week. But you do not need to see this guy's promos to build the like, it's the most just generic babyface 101 that he is present. I don't think they know what to do with him. Beyond just letting him have great matches. You know, like it's they had outside of the whole apology tour. Now that he's won the championship, I don't think they know what to do with it. It's like, you could argue the same that they don't know what to do with Dominic Mysterio. It's like, it's really something to just see. Like we went through this a decade ago when you would see like the NXT callups that, you know, whatever they had in NXT would be lost on the main roster, not all of them, but

enough of those examples. And it does feel now like you are granted like AAA, they just have like these these crowds. It's like an amazing atmosphere that all these performers have, but it's also what they are doing with these characters that is so much more interesting like where Dominic is in AAA and Chad Gable and El Grande Americano. I mean, Grande's kind of gone from the main roster at this point, but it's like this guy was like the hottest guy in the industry coming off that mask versus mask match. And they did something with him at SummerSlam, but it's sort of like he's in the role of, okay, you're the champion and you're the fighting champion that we do with all our US champions. And now we're doing it with the IC champion and that you're just going to go out and have great matches, which this guy can do. But again, I just I don't think you're hitting your optimization with this guy who can do much more than just go out there and have a great match as has been demonstrated this year. Well, what do you think we're building to? Who's the sort of natural threat to the champion chip, his champion chip, right?

I have no idea on raw. Well, like the mid card heels are what Austin, sorry. Guess so. But like Rusev, what else are we talking about here? Ethan Page. Yeah, actually, he's that one. So yeah, that's probably at least, you know, a post dragonly program for. Right. Then Becky runs into Stephanie Bacare in the locker room and she's willing to help her tonight so that Stephanie can go back to Chile as champion this Saturday as part of the South American tour. And she says that she, Becky just says, but if I help you, I want the first title shot, which Vicar does not ask for help because everyone has always betrayed me. And so Becky says, fine, you can go back to your home country as a loser. And this would be our show long story involving Becky. Would she come to work only to walk out or would she do a run in as she was planning all day to do here in Birmingham, Alabama?

Her soul focus for flying all the way here to Alabama. I mean, I'm sure there are other other great reasons to visit. And then we had Jackie Redmond interviewing comic, Matt Matthews. Are you familiar with Matt Matthews from NXT, the Mr. NXT patch. He was on NXT and then he got some unintended publicity a few weeks ago to really juice up this raw appearance. So he was being interviewed and the interviewer referred to him and his partner, I guess, as they. And so he just went off on this rant about pronouns. And it got all this publicity of this guy just going off on the usage of pronouns. And anyway, it was just several people noted it was like, oh, this guy's advertised for raw in a few weeks. So anyway, that's his backstory of the last couple of weeks if you want to.

Not quite a Ryan Garcia level, but it's probably appealing to some. And he gets interrupted by the Miz and Kit Wilson, who complain about the airtime that this guy's getting when it's the Miz's 20th anniversary. And he does accent mocking those from Alabama. And Matthews pretends he doesn't know who the Miz is. And then says, I thought you were retired. So Miz drags him into the ring and Kit Wilson is there and fucking Matt Matthews hits this tilt world head scissors. Now I will say this was a much better tilt world head scissors than I saw Alexa Bliss deliver to beef ab last night. But I don't know. I don't know why the comic needs to be doing a tilt world head scissors here to show everybody that he's, you know, this is not just a comic. This is a guy who's also quick on his feet. And then he got murdered with a skull crushing finale. And then Braun comes out for the qualifier, double spears, Miz and Kit Wilson.

And then he gave this guy, this was not the I show speed spear, but it wasn't that far off. And I, you know, it's, it's funny because you think like if, if Rick Steiner had a comic that he might have had something in common with. But yeah, Braun killed this guy. And that was our involvement of Matt Matthews. Honestly, by the end, it didn't feel like much of a vent to just have a celebrity do something. And I, I guess he'd been doing some training and is off time and not be able to pull off that move, I suppose. Right. Maybe he's coming back. He'll do a match with the Miz. Yeah. I guess they just like, I don't disagree that like, you know, does everybody off the street know how to do like a tilt world head scissors? Like does it, doesn't it just kind of defeat the, the magic of wrestling a little bit when like, I'm not that guy that usually complains about that stuff. But this one did, I just found it so out of place. And just it's, I think you can excuse it when it's like, you know, somebody like bad funny who has been actively training to, you know, in the lead up to like, you know, doing those matches with those like a Canadian destroyer for some reason for what or for a reason or even yoddy, you know, like, I know he, the giving

because that he did drain. But we do know he at least probably did some training right there. Right. So I mean, I guess this can only be explained by like, you know, everybody does a little bit of professional. This wrestling stuff is really not that hard everyone. Looks like picking up a basketball, you know, like anyone can do this. Just give us an afternoon and a few reps. Anyone can do this stuff. It's very easy. Okay. So, Braun, Ethan, Paige and Rey Mysterio in a money in the bank qualifier. Paige tries to work with Braun, Braun just decks him and it's page stopping a 619 attempt on the first attempt. And then he is caught by Braun from the floor on the second attempt and Rey gets dumped on the barricade by Braun who just played machine throughout this match. Braun hits the leaping clothesline to Ethan on the desk. And then it's Rey going for a sent on onto the desk on Braun that Joe Tessitor repeatedly just called a West Coast pop. He's then he then throws Braun into the time keepers area. They continue in the ring. And it's Rey with a springboard into a

T-Harris onto Paige and catches Paige with the 619. This live ends the crowd who like these ray matches all they want is this man to fling his legs and swing. That's all they wanted of this man in 2026. And Braun then knocks him off balance and we get Ethan Paige with Rey on a shoulders on the turnbuckle and a break and stiner to both of them. And proceeds to send Paige out of the ring. IE, he's the priority. We need to protect and Rey gets speared and killed in 11 minutes and 55 seconds. I thought the closing spot was great. I thought it was a strong match overall and they you know give us a really nice simple dynamic that allowed Braun to look awesome here. Which I to me at least like is some sort of like you know saving of him after like I think the terrible finish from Sunday nights main event. I'm surprised bronze and didn't get concerned after the 619 just running and it was like where are we're out as much as they love their three ways for all these qualifiers. But

like if this was the finish could you have imagined like nine minutes of breaker and Rey Mysterio at this stage like I don't know if Rey can go full out for all his TV matches. But my god he just had that amazing match with Gable a few weeks ago. These two alone would have been a super fun TV match without having to worry about protecting Ethan and work in the spots where I'd be worried about protecting. Um like literally well there's there's that concern that comes with it. He's I mean what would you be more concerned about him having a nine minute match of Braun breaker or having to do however many minutes with Omos on Friday. You got to keep this guy. See Rey's got a big week. Uh huh. Maybe you can get Matt Matthews to come in and help with his head sizzles of training. I get yeah maybe maybe Rey could learn a thing or two. So Braun Breaker is the first qualifier in the men's ladder match. L.A. Knight is chatting with Adam Pierce. This was the only time we saw L.A. Knight the entire show. He never came out in front of the crowd. He wants the winner of Roman and Penta.

He tells Adam I know I'm not in your plans. But if you've listened to the crowd for the last three years I am the plans and Pierce just says my word is good. Didn't know what he was agreeing to but his word is good. He basically told him hey after Mexico City. You'll find out what I've got planned for you. Right. Okay. You'll find out what I have planned for you. So solo walks up. He needs to go after Royce keys and his crew. But Knight has to deal with Roman and he says just let the Usos fight it out with them and we will pick the bones. But Knight just says we got to pick our spots and so Cahua says do you have my back. Of course I've got your back, but we've got to be smart about it. But solo isn't sure if he can wait. Well, he definitely waited tonight because I didn't see this guy go into a you know, save a save a SUV outside. It came to a sense as opposed solo was like, all right, I can't wait anymore. And then he saw the zip a lighter. He's like, I'll wait. I'll wait. I'll put my spot here. I'm good. I'm good.

So already introducing some tension between the two and it's completely understandable. Solo was just beaten up. He wants revenge immediately. Well, Knight has always said I'm staying away from this like family drama. You should do. And I'm concerned about my thing that I've been fighting for for years now, which is a title shot. I get it, right. And it does like just continue to make me wonder what what the end result of this is. Are they already considering splitting these two up? Are they considering putting solo actually with the bloodbind and with this be a satisfying way of satisfying way of doing it. I Yeah, it has to be intrigued. What if LA Knight chooses the numbers that accompany the zip code in his area of LA and decides to put his own team of LA brothers to get now. What do you do if you're not from the US? Like what have you and I wanted to put together team like we're from Canada where we don't use zip code. Oh, yeah, we would be like M5 J or something like that. I don't know. You and I could be we'd be a letter. A letter.

We're in another letter. If we're not actually what's cooler than a hyphen. You guys can have your zip code. We do postal up here. And that's what we're about to go on you. Oh, yeah, nice. Penta video with subtitles for a big main event next week. He knows everything Roman has done. He respects him, but he doesn't fear him. And he will make the impossible possible again next week. He's coming back to Mexico City, which means everything to him. Roman, you're not just facing me. You're facing an entire country that supports me. So not only I mean you and I don't think we're expecting Roman on the show like we didn't check the announced those days beforehand. How silly of me to think that he would have at least sent in a promo to promote the fetch. Dude. The most we got was just him like being in the ring last week holding up his jam being chip right. They showed a graphic. They mentioned the match. I mean, isn't that enough? I don't know, man. Like I get it's it's it's a big deal for like, you know, Penta to fight up.

You know, again, somebody on the level of rains, but I do think like maybe just even like one promo, you know, 30 second something shot on the cell phone. You know, no, couldn't get that. Would depend. Maybe he sent it in like the wrong aspect ratio aspect ratio. I think they would have accepted that. Hey, man, could you possibly do take two with like landscape for us? You Skype. Yeah. Nope. I'll see you in Mexico City. That's it. Listen, this the crowd's going to be insane next week for this match. And I think that's what people are tuning. There's not a person in the world that is tuning in next week. Say, man, maybe what what if what if they had Penta win this? There's not a person in the world. The side of success would be to see if they can get people to bite at least for one year fall. Like they did. And go down and and I think they will. I think this will be a crowd that is going to be very invested in in this match.

And like if there is a place that this is going to work, they're choosing the right place to do it. Yeah. So now Slim Seabirt is telling me in the chat room that Roman did shoot a cell phone video, but it didn't make the show. It didn't make the show. We were too busy. I don't know. We were too busy. No, I need to I need to make sure that this is a actual. But to find out if this is actually well, he did shoot something labor. Happy Labor Day. He says in the two minute 30 video while you clearly like that maybe that maybe they, you know, they had other priorities on this particular show. But yeah, we had all those segments with nine four six and the dog. But we couldn't fit in Roman Reigns Labor Day promo. Okay. Maybe they did want a landscape video. Maybe they just thought they were like this can't work in each. There's a good enough Roman week. That's really silly. How long is it? Two minutes 30 seconds. Wow. He got the blue check mark. So he can talk over over the video. Oh, oh, you think he's yeah, he's a.

Did he? He probably didn't pay for his verification. Did he? I doubt that. Yeah, he got it on his trip to the White House back. So I haven't listened yet. Maybe he's only talking about Labor Day. Yeah. Maybe he's going to make it a career match. Yeah, it's going to have a big step at the end. Okay. Maybe he'll do the opposite. Where if I lose, I put a mask on. Um, I don't I don't think TKO would be happy about that. Hello, hello, hello, David Portman here from Poison Rana. The little advice promo for next week, which we would later find out she's going to be on a qualifier. So all Ruka, Lyra, Valkyria and Maxine Dupri. So this was the return of Maxine to the ring. And she wasn't going to waste any time in this one.

She hit a fisherman suplex onto Ruka. Unfortunately, this was a crowd that was totally like. I don't think they were all that into this show to begin with. Like maybe it was like as soon as they realize Austin theory and Otis couldn't give us a clean finish like that's it. Our goodwill is done. Um, it's so the crowd struggled in this one, but we saw a soul snatcher get interrupted by Lyra and then Maxine. Forget about Bronson Reed folks. We got the return of the Japanese ocean cyclone suplex from Maxine that I swear she has not used. In since since that one match. Yes, which when I went to look this up, Maxine Japanese ocean cyclone suplex. One of the first things that came up was my interview where I asked her about the Japanese ocean cyclone suplex. So that was the extent of it. But she did bring it back here. My god that she protects Sol Ruka in in this she was on risking anything here with I would assume it's it's very sort of like victim dependent like who would be comfortable taking it who could take it.

Who who Maxine could lift, you know, into that position perhaps. Yeah, this was they went over it today and Lyra is like, yes, so you got that one. You got it. You do it. So there's a tornado DDT by Lyra and then Maxine does an inverted DDT to Lyra who in turn DDT's Ruka at the same time. And we have Maxine sent into the corner to knock Ruka off the top to the floor. And there's a night wing by Lyra. We think she has the match one, but the returning Bailey yanks out referee Jessica car and then the crowd pops big for the reveal of Bailey and Lyra has her big stunned look where she's like, I thought you were dead. And she's going to the other promotion and she just stands there and you signed a contract. You I thought I just a year deal. I thought you were going to get a pay cut or something. And she's a non-cott. She eats a soul snatcher and gets pinned in 11 minutes and 21 seconds. Soul Ruka gets the win. And Bailey continues the attack pulls her to the floor and hits Lyra with the night wing.

And then clears the desk, but Lyra escapes running through the crowd. So I think everyone realized when Bailey's name started getting dropped weeks ago, I think that was a telltale sign and Bailey is back. And obviously going right back to this Lyra program. Yeah, I mean, it feels like confirmation. Of course, that that she's back in the WWE or at least maybe, you know, has been negotiated for deal. No confirmation of that yet, but again, it's what she's going by her new nickname, same level. Same level. What do you mean? Oh, I tried it's late. It's late. It's very good. Thank you. No, I'm just tired. But I thought the match itself was I actually really enjoyed it. You know, both of the money in the bank qualifying matches here. I thought like, you know, like kept the energy up really well as a three way is supposed to do. And I thought like in terms of coordination, I felt to me, Lyra continues to like look excellent in almost every in ring appearance.

I see of her like she to me feels like one of the she wrestles like a veteran. Despite I don't know exactly how many years she's she's been in in wrestling, but like she always looks incredibly solid. And I thought I thought sold did great as well, you know, peppering the action with like great looking, you know, aerial offense and all of it landed pretty well in my opinion. And I don't think Maxine looked all that bad either, you know, like she pulled off the big move that, you know, we've been waiting for her for a long time. And I thought like she fit into this pace of action really well. So beyond the big story of Bailey coming back, I thought the match turned out well, in my opinion. We have another video. We got a social media video from Rome, I'm sorry, OTM, who had a warning for the usos that they are in their city. And keys appears telling Jacob to let the usos off their leashes. And we go to the usos and Jacob in the locker room reacting to this, fought to says they want you guys to go attack and fall into their plan.

And Jay with the most sound logic to rebut Jacob's advice says they called us bitches. We're supposed to just sit here like valid let's let's go. And he says for the usos to trust him on this one. If you walk out that door, blood will be spilled again. And Jay just says, we trust you, Jacob, we trust you. Jimmy's just looking like guys, I've got guns. Anyone up for this. I think we've got the equalizer. Okay. This is gone to warfare. They call this bitches. We're no bitches. So I mean, the dynamic is interesting. And that like it's it's Jay now listening to Jacob, right? They butted heads pretty much like the entire time that Jacob has been a part of the faction. But now it's Jay, like actively looking towards Jacob as the leader and look where Jacob sitting.

But could you have imagined Sammy Zane in the Jacob Fattu role? He's like, I know how this rolls guys from Montreal. Joe Henry. Oh my fucking God. We got the JD MacDonna story. So Joe Henry, who's probably been nagging these people to do a song for some of his opponents finally got the okay, I guess here. And the JD MacDonna story where he's in a sound studio singing about JD's oversized head and revealing that his father was the source of this giant head because JD's father is a Funko pop. Like a giant Funko ball. Yeah. Now I'm sure we're going to get the painfully unedited version of this song that's probably six minutes and maybe I have no idea because if this was it, this is one of the least funny things I've ever seen in my life.

It was like there was no punchline here. I was like, a Funko pop. We just went from like gang warfare where blood will be spilled and lives could be ended over this beef to your head is from your dad's Funko pop. It's like this. I swear to God, I wanted to like reach out and say has Vince McMahon slid his way back in here? Is he giving notes at this point? Because this is what raw felt like it felt like raw of 2019 here with this. Yeah. So I do think like Joe Hendry is a talent that really I don't think he works without this sort of post production, you know, like he needs his music videos as an introduction at the very least to an audience and they never really gave him that they just gave him the concerts, which were certainly hit and miss and more I would say miss than hit.

Yeah, he's still living off that Ryan Garcia segment, you know, but but having like the music videos to accompany the songs, I think like would be huge benefit to him. And they're at least in the right direction. But there was no real song here like this was like one minute and it was more like spoken word with a bit of like ad-libbing, you know, like in between more so than an actual song. I just kept waiting for like the hook and you know the whole catchy part of like, you know, what this guy typically does. But that he did so well with the Logan Paul song that he's done so well in the past with like other things and they put the effort into like the visuals and all this stuff, but the song wasn't wasn't present unfortunately. I thought this was so lame and takes us to JD and Hendry with Joe Tessitore having to state. He just torched him in that video. And I mean really backing up the Mrs. Criticisms of Alabama, this crowd starts chanting Funko pop. Okay, maybe I'm maybe I'm just going to lunch. This is the funniest thing that these people have ever seen before.

Funnier than Matt Matthews. So Joe Henry misses with the hit single and JD attacks the lower back takes a fallaway slam headbutt Henry and then outcomes. Javon Evans wearing the Funko pop hat head head whatever the fuck. And I only applaud this for happening on Labor Day because Labor Day to me signals the end of the summer. And that is where we can rewind to Paul Heyman's prophecy of if Javon Evans is not a special attraction by the end of the summer. And then it's either the fans not watching it from the right perspective or we or we fucked up. Well folks, you fucked up. No, I'm just not watching this from from the right perspective. Clearly not because this is this is hilarious. He you see because he's he's making fun of JD from the video.

And then this is one Evans. I mean what a Goldberg putting a wig on moment here for this guy who just as it's not as six seven in 2026. I don't disagree that he's he is kind of lame. Yeah, I'll go, but all this was lame. And then folks, the guy who at the bump for the Funko pop is your mega champion who is headlining a sold out arena CU dot on Sunday. Like you just you cannot have more of a divorced brand differentiation of raw and triple A here as Dominic here just tumbles here taking a headbutt from the Funko fucking pop JD of course is distracted by this Mrs. Amune Salt and get hit by something called the sound effect. The sound effect not a side effect a sound effect seems to be his new finisher instead of like the joke slam or the hit single. You like the single he still goes for that but I just misses it. Yeah, they probably don't want him doing like a you know the standing ovation anymore and therefore.

Side effect here, which is which they rename the sound effect, which I mean I think I think is quite clever but it's not as you know interesting of the high impact move sadly, but he's also at this point I don't think the type of wrestler that like. He's never going to be going for a world championship. Oh you just wait you just wait okay. Yeah, three minutes and 39 seconds. I hate everything to do with this every single thing right down to the sound effect. I mean, I don't really not much of a match. Um crowd I did not think reacted at all to this until the shenanigans with the champ Funko pop and that's on them that's kind of it yeah. I mean depending on how seriously you're taking your professional wrestling. I do think like you know some some would have found this like just to be a fun. Oh, after Matt Matthews how could you how could you this is this is all part for the course I guess. I was going to run into live Becky's on her way out and live just makes fun of her saying you know I was worried about you and Bacare teaming up together but then I remember your selfish and no one likes you she insults Rollins and laughs and Becky's face and Becky's about to turn around and stay.

But then she walks out so you knew she was coming back. So do you think they're building up to like another intergener match. I'm certain live in Dom. Um that's something I guess yeah that's something you could bring Seth back to I'm really racking my brain of how they bring Seth back and I mean that's as good an ideas any because it just feels like he like there's he's exhausted all the opponents that are over on Smackdown he's lost a Roman here on raw it just it feels like he's in no man's land at the at the moment. I think being off TV is probably a benefit for him but it's like I don't have any great ideas for him like revisiting the vision stuff that feels tired. Maybe it's not yeah. It could be maybe maybe this is the start of that. Hey man is back into his regular role where he just goes from town to town to watch raw backstage and the vision appear. He asks if he saw what they did to Oba Femi tonight it's like dude this is literally his job he just watches the TV of course he saw it he hugs braw

and says he's proud of him and breaker says that Oba is finished and the future is secure. It's the most devastating DQ and company history. Hey man asks is Oba still breathing and he walks away and Braun realize I've got to kill him. Again the next step in the program told like so again I mean I would have expected of anybody involved in this YouTube maybe inject some logic to explain the finish of Sunday. I would have at least expected Paul haven't to be that guy and instead Paul like just congratulate Bronson read on a job well done like so now even he too is playing by the rules of this match from Sunday being one not by pinfall but by who is laid out. So what took more damage regardless of like how many people it took to inflict the damage it's tough love he's holding Braun to a high standard yeah okay he's so this is going to be what we get with Darby and Steven Borden.

So he's in the vision right or like this whole thing is still what like the vision is trying to re-earn Paul haven't stressed right. So we're talking about sort of kind of okay maybe they're going to end up turning on Paul when Paul finally embraces them. I would not recommend that you left us when we were at our lowest and you don't get to ride our co-tails when we accept the past they need Paul Heyman a lot more than Paul Heyman needs them maybe they'll bring back Jimmy Hart. Okay they need Cornette that would that that should be there. Live Morgan and Stephanie Vickair for the women's belt live avoids a devil's kiss she's scouted the move and manages the three amigos and then it's Stephanie Vickair with this violent dragon screw out of the corner live selling her knee and then takes the devil's kiss the crowd is excited about this and then a devil's kiss on the desk so they get two of them live comes back with a sunset bomb off the top inside the ring and Vickair rebound to the superplex back.

Breakers for a two count and then the running knees while live comes back with the code breaker oblivion gets stopped and then the judgment they arrive and it's Perez distracting the ref is Raquel knocks Vickair off the top and the ref catches her a jex her and Becky appears yanking down Raquel sending her into the steps and then chasing Perez off but not before Roxanne hands the title to live who ends up nailing Vickair with a belt shot. Into oblivion and live retains in 17 minutes and 47 seconds so I mean this is as clean a finish as you're going to get in this company or just for the match yeah I would say so like I mean I think you expect shenanigans at these these these well these few and at least it resulted in a DQ like it was to me about as expected and as definitive of a win for judgment day heal as as you get and I would say overall I thought this was a good match you know they want to solve this. I think she's one of the best wrestlers on the roster male or female you know so really kind of filling that board were like you know an Oscar and a EO who like I don't know where she is but like you know there's on the no card yeah that's with the old planning and perhaps yeah and I think like live to look very solid here that she played her role as the very charismatic sort of like cocky heel well here and I thought athletically she's really good.

She kept up with Stephanie Vickair heat as throughout the show I thought was a bit low but I do think the crowd is probably expecting that cheating coming right and I thought like there was a strong chance of a title change here you know I did to and giving it further thought I would say like I don't think there's any reason not to do the title switch in Chile this this weekend like it's not televised right show it online. How many times are you going to go there that you could do something really impactful and just show it afterwards. I don't have the idea I certainly don't hate the idea you know I would say if they were in the mindset of changing the title I would much rather do it there for a big moment in Chile then here on raw in Birmingham for instance like do something different it's like not the end of the world one last time we had like a like a major like a world title change. And XT they did the the NXT championship they they did that every so often at a live event but it's very rare especially on the main world championship I I like doing you know that sort of like shock thing but this is also a company that I feel like is so.

There there probably so much more worried about value and maximizing value and maximizing profit that I don't see them taking those sort of risks at this stage. Well they took a risk on big cast and he does a video about stacking bodies since he's come back but he didn't just come back to stack bodies way he's here to win titles I walk talk and act like a champion and he confirms he passes the airport. And he's a great test he actually brought up people turning their heads at airports which if he walks into an airport into La Guardia shirtless they would turn their heads at this. They would earn away yeah probably from boarding a flight as well you know as someone that has recently been through a few airports I can also tell you who passes the airport test like out of control. Drunk people to like they also pass the airport test like you do turn your head when someone's losing their mind and airport so it's not the highest of distinctions that WWE makes it out to me.

So he says that the I was going to say just are you going to get into the content of the any more content of the promo to discuss I mean that was it was that it okay yeah so they started here with a guy like promising some sort of like redemptive. Yeah and then the reaction story in his like preview videos. What we ended up getting was just basically a reversion back to I'm really tall you know that's the man's entire gimmick now I'm really tall and which is what he's going to go before with with Enzo and it's like they're really not making effort nor do I think they know how to you know add depth to a heal without making him maybe the worry is that he he'd be too sympathetic or something. but now he's just not really all that interesting. He's just the guy who like beats people beats shorter guys up and he's really, really tall. Yeah. He's a no, he's not coming out saying, um, I got myself clean. I'm sober and you can't teach that.

Does that mean you can't bring to it as a I passed the airport test? Yeah. So next week in Mexico City, it is Roman Reigns. If he appears, uh, defending the title against Penta, Chad Gable and Dragon Lee for the ICT title. I mean, we, we actually had time for a Chad Gable promo and not a Roman Reigns one on the, on this broadcast. Then in the women's qualifier, Colony Jordan, the NXT women's champion with Raquel Rodriguez and the debuting Lola vice who I cannot fathom Lola not winning this and a curious choice if it's Colony that is just being brought up here to the fall. You've been at the pin, right? Like, I mean, I, I, the other two are champions, right? Um, yeah, the, the other two are champions who would make no sense to beat Lola here. Um, I guess, well, I mean, it is what it is. I mean, it actually would be better for Lola to actually pin Raquel and she debuts by being someone she can be programmed with on raw, but I don't know if that will be what they do. But if she's entering the money in the

bank, then that sort of like changes her direction. Yeah. And it wouldn't be towards Raquel's title. Yeah. Um, maybe Colony's entering. Sure. Why not? I guess who does she pin then? I don't think it's interesting. Interesting. That's making okay. And Javon Evans big cast an Austin theory in the men's qualifier. So it's too late for the end of the summer to turn Javon into a superstar. Maybe he'll, this match could do it, man. Come on. This might be the one week. This is the glass ceiling he breaks through in Mexico City coming next week. Yeah. And our final segment, it's not a wrestling segment, but instead the Usos are with Fato and ask him what's the play. And they just call for their music and they come out with their weapons and Jacob follows them. And this was Jason. I'm not going to listen to you anymore. We're going to call the shots now. Which I feel like I missed a scene in between. Because like the last scene was just like Jade completely obedient. Now this one, they're somewhat at odds. It was so sort of like forced

that I thought this would be. Did you check their social media? Maybe they posted of an explanation on social media that we tied all this together. Yeah. I thought this would just be like Jay and Jimmy and Jacob recognizing, hey, like this is going to be broadcast. So let's just tell them we're going to the ring. Meanwhile, we're actually going to be doing something else. I thought they were setting off the trap. But it wasn't that at all. They were actually just going to the ring to beat them up. No, because 946 are outside. And when you know what, they're right by the Usos car. Uh oh, not the rental. I hope they got there. I hope they check the $10 insurance box. They didn't do that by now that that's on them. Yeah. I never checked the insurance. And I think I will after this. You're not a wrestler. You're not that's true. That's true. I haven't been pacing gotten 946. I haven't gotten my car lit on fire yet. So the OTM destroyed the car and bust up at the windows. And then they poured gasoline. I was like, okay, I'm all of this.

Nothing like a little gasoline to really pull John Pollock into an ankle. And then Royce Keyes walks up and he says, you think I'm crazy? No. And he proved he's not crazy. Uh by tossing the zip-o lighter into this car. And this thing just explodes. Look at the Usos. I love this company. It's just so the car is gone. And it ends with a OTC chant as the car makes like all these growling noises. It sounded like it was about to explode, but it didn't have really all the explosion in there. Yeah, it's like this. It was like running on empty. There was no gas in the in the car. It was all get it was no no gas all breaks on this particular vehicle. I think modern vehicles they they they do a lot to make sure they you know, the gas tank is as well sealed, but anyway. So are the

Usos stranded in Birmingham that they have to Uber to Mexico City for next week? Because I assume they just go from town to town. You know what? They might have to call in a favor. Is this Jacob's? Is this Jacob's fault? Is it Jacob's fault? Does he have a separate car? Did they leave his car on Scaath? I you know, all great questions, John. I think we'll have to wait a week, but my main concern is just, you know, how like your reaction to the angle, like personally, I I thought it honestly felt kind of lame. Um, what do you know? Number one, it's their reactions look pretty pretty lame. I mean, as much as that guy's surprised, look, look more surprised as much as the Usos and Jacob are selling their reaction to this. I mean, there is no personal weight attached to guys attacking. What we all know to be likely of rental car from somebody right? Um, you know, like I think they could maybe attach a little bit more or at least attempt to

attach a little bit more emotional way to like this, this level of vandalism. I'm not asking for sort of Strickland's childhood home, but at least some effort made to make this feel like a little bit more personal than just like, you know, you you're attacking the car I rented two days like a day ago or this afternoon, right? That I'm probably going to get reimbursed for. That was dead. Yeah. Was our loaner? I mean, whatever, some some attempt at, you know, making it feel a little bit more personal than just like, Oh, cool. Look, it's on fire. You know, like they, it's cool to have an explosion, but I think it's even better when like there's a bit more, you know, emotional way to attach to it. Yeah. Um, there's a little goofy to say the least, usually, I mean, that's a WWE in vehicles. They have a storied history. Yeah. Or like, hey, like, I don't know, maybe like a Jacob tattoos, like, like whatever, they're Ula Fala's or U-Fala, yeah, Ula Fala is that what the black Ula Fala's the black Ula Fala's are in the car. We left them there. Uh, and they're like, whatever he, he should have like lit the, the

fucking Ula Fala's on fire. You know, like, whatever, destroyed them. I think that would have like been even more impactful than this. Yeah. Um, anyway, so now the Usos and Jacob Fato, they have to retaliate. They do. That's right. Well, I mean, Roman is going to respond to this somehow. Oh, yeah, he's bringing an oozzy to Mexico City. Oh, yeah, this is going to go to armed combat. I think that's, that's going to be the, the playoff of war games this year. We're going to have weapons arm. Everyone's going to be armed. Okay. So there you go. That was raw. I thought that this was a, um, I don't know. Um, I'm like the money in the bank qualifying matches. I thought like, to me, I enjoyed them both. I'd maybe you're a bit more mixed on it. I thought the closing angle was pretty weak. Um, so I'm really down on the creative on raw at the moment. And it just seems to be like, you have this dynamic, like, I think Smackdown, you just have all these great talkers that can even take like average creative

ideas and turn them into like these really personal vendettas and you get like your punks, your Owens, you, uh, Zane, even like a baller and a Gunther. And I think here it's, it's a combination of like, you know, you don't have a lot of strong talkers on this show. Um, to, to the audience, it's like this show is in the shadow of Roman Reigns and to a degree, a, even to a lesser degree Roman, um, Seth Rollins as well that it's like when the big stars are not there, it's like everyone is, you're trying to raise them up to this level. And it's, it's a work and progress show. And Oba Femi is not a character. You can build this show around on his, his own like he, I know. And also like, I think he, by nature has to be limited in how much you show of him. Right. He's supposed to be kept special by like being kept until the very end when he comes in and like, you know, Cleans House or like his appearances are, are, are kept like relatively brief, you know, in comparison to like Jacob Vatu or the Usos who are basically, you know, like the

anchors throughout the, the, the, the recurring characters throughout the show. And they're at this point just like not big enough stars, right? To hold the whole thing together. Yeah. I mean, you know, it's, I guess you felt you did your whole build up last week, but like our whole big title match, like we've watched this tournament for a month. And it's like Penta was like limited to a 90 second video on, on the, on this show. Um, you know, um, it, it's just, it's, it, it's a combination of like a lot of factors. Some of the like, the, the, the matches that it's just a idea of like, how do we get out of this match? Or it's just a lot of repetitive finishes that, that we have gotten in some of these. I don't disagree. Like the qualifiers were, were, were fine. The Bayley return, at least like that got a big reaction out of the audience. But um, but I think I live, I thought was a very solid match. Yeah. Like they, they, they were fine. The men's match was, it was fine as well. Um, I hated everything with, with Joe Hendry and I hated everything with Matt Matthews. Those were the low points of the show for me. And the whole, like

Bronson Reed interrupting getting dequeued. Um, I, I think that's, that's pretty lazy. Maybe it's Bronson Reed and Otis that we're building up to first. Um, could be. Oh man. Yeah. Great. So there you go. That was your Labor Day edition of raw. Um, so next week, uh, Friday and Monday, uh, shows in Mexico City. So it's punk and Sami Zayn on Friday and then reigns in Penta on Monday. I'm looking forward to, to the Friday show. Certainly. You don't think Sami Zayn will be under a mask. Do you? In Mexico City? Uh, I wonder if he'll walk out in one, but yeah, I don't think so. Yeah. He's, uh, they're separate in story. So he's retired. Yeah. Yeah. As, as Kevin Owens once told Steve Austin on his podcast, damn, that's really going to be a talker. All right. We're going to wrap things up. We're going to be back on Tuesday with the wellness policy, uh, discussing all things under the sun as he catches up with Jordan and Neil. I look forward to hearing

the three of you. And then Wednesday, um, it's going to be waiting and Kate from Montreal. I had a prior, um, engagement on on Wednesday evening. So I am missing the last show I'm going to miss for quite a while. Um, I'm not allowed out on Monday's or Wednesday's for eternity. But, um, we'll be back on Thursday for rewind away and Paulic and Thurston. Uh, so all of that coming your way this week. So goodbye on the YouTube stream and we're going to continue for those on the post wrestling cafe.
