Woman Jailed for Stealing Donuts, Vapes After Ban

A 39-year-old woman from Skegness has landed in jail after ignoring a court ban on entering most local shops and stealing small items like donuts and vapes. Lorna Smith, who lives on Royal Oak Terrace, got hit with the 30-week sentence following her guilty plea in court. Earlier this year, on February 23, authorities issued her a criminal behavior order that limited her to only two stores in the seaside. Town, these orders target repeat offenders to keep neighborhood safer by enforcing strict rules. Smith broke the ban three times, sneaking into restricted shops to grab a pack of donuts, a box of vapes, and some desparado beers. She also refused to provide a breath specimen when asked by police. On March 9, Lincoln magistrates court heard her case where she admitted to the breaches, two counts of theft, and the specimen failure.
