I did not talk to very many people at all who thought she was the first runner. Didn't mean he wasn't going to be because all it takes is one team. I sort of feel the same way with Ty now and I've got a lot more calls to make, but you know, the teams that I've talked to, you know, CM is a, you know, good college quarterback second or third round pick with a lot of things that you got to wrap your head around, you know, and he's not a super athlete, you know, and, you know, so I think he's one of these guys where you look at him. And I think there's a similar to Shedur, what Shedur was like, what's his for power? I don't know that Ty Simpson has a super power either, which I think is why most people look at him as a, you know, as a second or third round prospect rather than rather than a first round. In fact, I say, like, if you look at the two of them, I think they're, you know, the way people talk about, talk about Shedur coming out last year, and the way people talk about Ty Simpson, it probably is that far off, you know, one from the other. That was Alper Breary joined us last segment and what's interesting about that is that I feel like it opens up a lot of possibilities in the conversation of what do you do with Ty Simpson,

but it also opens up the idea that if let's say they take him at, I'm not even saying 39, the way Alper is talking is second century third. That's a different convo, Nick. Like that's completely different. If you take him in the third round, you are very much in Shedur Sanders territory from last year, where it's not about then making him the franchise quarterback. It's then about this was extremely great value. And if he turns into something, he turns into something. Yeah, but if he's just the same exact quarterback that Shedur is, if that's what Alper is telling us, where, you know, he doesn't view either Shedur Sanders or Ty Simpson. I disagree with that with Alper, by the way, the idea that Shedur didn't have any elite traits. I think his accuracy was an elite trait, whereas with Ty Simpson, I agree with him 100%. I don't see anything elite. That's why I'm not the biggest Ty Simpson guy. Well, it's, it's felt like if that's the fact is that they're very similar in that round, then you should probably just avoid Ty Simpson altogether. I'm fascinated to understand how did the Browns view this though, because Munkin and Simpson have really been exchanging pleasantries since it feels like Indianapolis.

Yet at the same time, Munkin definitely certainly sounds like he's warmed up to the idea Shedur Sanders. So it will be very fascinating to see how this all unfolds, because Albert man through cold water all over where I was coming from on the Ty Simpson thing is at least if you do it in the first round, you've got a plan. You've at least liked something enough. You feel convicted towards Ty Simpson, whereas if Ty Simpson ends up being 39 or 70, I'm good, because then you're, it's just more of the same and you're really targeting one in 2027. And if that's the case, then I'm just good to ride with Shedur Sanders. I saw enough last year where I'd be willing to just continue forward with Shedur Sanders. I'm not muddying that any further. I think Shedur's the better quarterback. I haven't been shy about that. I think Shedur Sanders as of today. It doesn't mean Ty Simpson three years from now could be something, I mean, it could be some way different in that conversation. But like as of today, I think the quote I had on it yesterday, or maybe last week, whatever it was, was that if I had one game fate of the universe tomorrow,

am I choosing Ty Simpson who's six feet tall and has played in 13 college games, and I mean, you've been in college for five years, but 13 college games, or am I taking Shedur Sanders? I'm taking Shedur Sanders. I'm with you. And one to one, I'm taking Shedur Sanders over Ty Simpson. But that is part of the problem then. So like if they take this quarterback, let's say in the second round or the third round, you're spending draft capital and a team that desperately needs, we have a lot of draft capital, but you need guys. You need people. And Dan, look at what you want. Look at even what happened at the edge position today, where that AJ Epinasa doesn't go through with this free agent contract. Like now you could probably use a little bit of depth at edge. Like they have these nine draft picks. It's not to say that you could just light them on fire like they did last year by drafting two quarterbacks. They should have just drafted Shedur at 94 last year. Instead of doing Shedur and Gabriel together, it confused the entire thing. One to one, Shedur and Ty Simpson. I'm taking Shedur every single time. Well, and so if Shedur is going to win out that battle, by the way, I think he would. If he's going to win out that battle, then what are you doing? You're spending a second or a third round

pick on Ty Simpson for what? Like you still have to keep your options open for the 2027 draft. Do the Browns see it that way? And that's the variable that we just don't know yet. If the Browns think that Shedur Sanders is this far off project quarterback, if the Browns think that Shedur Sanders long term is shorter, James Winston or Jacobi Brasad, then they might really be serious about Ty Simpson. I don't know how the Browns genuinely feel about Shedur Sanders because I get mixed signals. It sounds like the coach like some. It sounds like the general manager in the owner. Maybe not so sure if they're contemplating playing a guy who hasn't been good since the last time Tiger Woods was winning Masters. I just don't know how you confidently know what Shedur Sanders is one way or another right now. I don't know the people that think he's going to be awesome. I love you. I do. I don't know how you can confidently say that right now, but I also don't know how you can confidently say you think he's going to be Jacobi Brasad either. We just didn't see enough last year in a proper setting to be able to try to evaluate that. I get it if you want to come back

down to earth a little bit on some of the projections with Shedur. I certainly have myself, but I've not thrown him out with the trash either. I don't know how you could possibly do that after the situation that he was put in last year. That was their thought process that he's just a career back up right now. That would really surprise me. I've just, but if we want to play with that idea, then if you take what Ty Simpson in the second or third round and then that's your lottery ticket. Is that how they're viewing it? That's your guy. The boomer bus. That's so messy. The boomer bus. Yeah, it sounds messy for a reason, but is that like your boomer bus proposition that I've been describing for Shedur. Is it really just tiny at that time? Here's what we do now. That's annoying. If it's true, because again, that's not a plan. That's not a real plan. It's not a plan. And here's how it exposes that it's not a plan. Is that you'd be banking on Ty Simpson falling to the second or third round to even see this plan through and then banking on hitting a lottery ticket like that. What do we know? What do we know about this team that would scare you into that logic? They love value. That's what they always preach. That's how we got in the Shedur.

You're scaring me that they're going to do. They're they're not going to do it at 24. You're scaring me that they're going to do it at 39 and they're just going to add to the confusion of Sanders, V Gabriel, V Watson, V Simpson in round two if he's to get there. If he gets to round two, then you don't love them that much though. I agree with that. Ty Simpson at least be convicted and draft them in the first round. Like I miss those days, JP. Like the the browns right now feel dead. I miss having a little bit of conviction when we used to sit here and argue, do you want Baker? Do you want Darnold? Like people are pounding the tables and planting flags for these guys. I don't even love Ty Simpson as a prospect. We've been through that plenty over these last couple of hours. I don't think Ty Simpson is God's gift to football by any stretch of the imagine it. I'm just looking for a real plan. That's what I've devolved into. I used to sit here and debate these prospects in Baker and I loved his accuracy and his attitude. And Darnold, I was worried about the interceptions and the fumbles and the ball security. Like I miss all

of that. Now we're talking about, oh, maybe he sneaks into the second round and we could get him for value. Like there's no conviction there. There's no long term planning there. I agree with you. But what I'm saying is I didn't listen to Albert last year when he spoke the way that he did. And he was dead on. And I'm not going to fall for the same mistake twice. He tells me the people he talks to around the NFL say Ty Simpson's not going in the first round. At least the majority of people he's spoken to. That's how the NFL thinks. I'm led to believe he's right. He was right last year. I'm led to believe he's right now. 216-474 to below 92. We'll continue with phone calls and we'll also get into a cab's discussion as well. I can't believe with Channing Fry to say about Evan Mobley. You'll want to hear it next right here on the fan.
