The United States is, as we speak right now, currently retaliating against Iran. We could be back into a large scale fighting back and forth. It could be a tip for tat. It could be the beginning of a new larger scale offensive operation. It is unclear. All we know is that there have been a number of targets. Actually, quite a few targets have been hit in Iran. And the question is going to be now what is going to be the response from the Iranian side? Try to figure this out. Back with us, we are delighted to have Robert Barnes back. It was a constitutional lawyer. Good friend of our show. And you can find Robert on X and his show with Viva Fry at Viva Barnes at law.locals.com. Robert, there's always welcome back to our show. Glad to be here. Well, listen, quite an interesting time. We certainly didn't know that you'd be coming on. We were back in hot combat operations, but yet here we are. President Trump actually just posted this, what, just about 30 minutes ago. Because the United States is, as we speak, striking Iranian targets near the straight

of Hormuz, the strikes are large and powerful. And in retaliation for the Iran, Iranians attempt at adding sea mines to the strength, which currently has no mines. They have been completely removed or detonated, or on that in a second. And the Iranian shooting eight missiles all successfully knocked down at our base in Jordan. If the failed nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all. That is waiting in the wings. And when it is over, there will be very little left of the Republic of Iran. What do you make of this situation here? Because I mean, he's saying this is an attack for you guys. First of all, for trying to lay sea mines, which interestingly, because he points out there that there are no sea mines, because Admiral Cooper a couple of days ago declared that it was completely free. And then the next day a ship hit mines in the sea. So not sure what that's about there, but yet he still keeps claiming that.

And then it's about this other aid missiles, which Saddam Husri shows was very much were not all intercepted and they did strike some of their targets. What do you make of this whole situation? Why are we even here? I mean, it's because Toddler Trump won't take a loss, is the simple answer. The straight of course was completely open before February 28th of this year. Then Trump had a deal in place to reopen the straight in April of this year. Had he honored that deal? Had he kept his word? The straight would have been open since April. But he went back on it and reinstated the blockade and violation of the deal. Then we get a deal in June, which would have reopened the straight by July, fully. And what does he do? He renegs on that deal. And now that he is in a position where he just won't honor any deal that he himself makes. He's deal incapable. That's the practice. You know, people who that keep trying to say there's some strategic, you know, you know,

40 chess going on or any kind of strategy. I think is what he was called strategy. There's none of that going on. And anybody comparing it to Trump's first term or earlier Trump or campaign Trump are going to be disappointed. You know, this is think like a two year old toddler. And that's how Trump's brain now thinks. And consequently, and that's why he keeps losing everybody that has any kind of realistic or non interventionist approach or just understands the limits militarily and economically of the circumstances that he has now put the country in the world in. And the, I mean, Lloyds of London came out and immediately rebutted the claim that the straight had been demined. A lot of people were wondering how exactly did he demine the straight when there's been no straight, you know, we haven't sent any of our ships inside the straight of our moves because we're afraid of them getting hit. And yet we're trying to tell people that they can come out without getting it. The, well, when did we send in our minesweepers? Because it was news to everybody.

And Lloyds of London were like, nope, we have no confidence in the president's assertion that the straight has been demined. Any more confidence than Trump's claim that the Iranian Republic is collapsing, that the Republic are rallying. I think, you know, he's now gone up to, he decided to just skip up on some numbers. I had suggested early on to vice president Vance. So Trump should just say that Iran killed 94 million protesters. Yeah. It's larger than their entire population. But don't worry about that. It's as realistic as anything else. He says, and now he's up to, he just skipped. He went for 40, he went 30, 40, 50, and then it was, oh, it's over 100,000. It's over 100,000. And he just keeps exaggerating these numbers that are just preposterous. He's making a mockery of his own second term, of his own presidency in a lot of time. Of course, the markets reacted because they, I don't know why they believe that there's still any strategy left in Trump. The bond markets are, in the West, are going haywire as we speak. The US 10 year keeps rising, the 20 year keeps rising, the 30 year keeps rising.

The person he put in it as Fed Chair because just like Pete Hags death, he said, man, that guy's right at a central casting. Even people in the Treasury Department told him that this guy would be a guy to raise rates. He was convinced, oh, wars will go in, he'll lower rates. His speech last week at Jackson Hole now realizes he's about to probably raise rates in September. And this attack makes it worse because the reason why the bond markets around the world are, in the Western world are suffering major problems. Is it because of concern over the US debt? That wouldn't explain why British and French and German and Japanese Yacht, the yields are surging. It's because of this. You can go right back and see the yields were coming down until the Iran War. And since then, they've been steadily creeping up. And as the bond market realizes, which are much more politically savvy market than the equity markets is, that this war is not going to be resolved anytime soon, that Trump is a functionally deal incapable that he can't admit or acknowledge a loss that he keeps digging himself deeper into Professor PAPE's escalation trap and gives more affirmation

of Brandon Weissher's theory that we're going to end up going back in. And then everybody that's a res trainer, everybody that's a realist, everybody that's a lean non interventionist, at least this to the Middle East, all but one or two are now out. Today, Army Secretary Driscoll and his deputy are resigned. And he was one of the last res trainers, realists left in the entire appointee portion of the Trump administration, Mike Lantzon, the State Department who drafted the national security statement that said we were going to get out of Middle Eastern wars is gone. Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, gone. The Kennedy recommended appointee, his daughter-in-law, Amarilla Fox, another res trainer, she's gone. Joe Kent from the Center of Counterterrorism also gone. And now you have Army Secretary Driscoll and his deputy gone. Literally all that's left in the sort of top layers. There's some people at the lower levels of appointed position that are still there. But almost everybody at the top level is gone. Including people were put in on Pete Hanks as staff initially at the recommendation of

Vice President Vance. He got rid of them relatively early on. People that were going to get in or did early on get in, people like Jeremy Carl, who was going to get into the State Department. He got denied. Other people were kicked out early on by the Israel lobby, including your attempt to get you involved. And so all you've got is Colby and his deputy left at the top levels. Everybody else that's a realist, everybody else that's a non interventionist is gone. Now the career analyst at places like the State Department and the CIA and the Director of National Intelligence, as well as the career military officers that is now, I mean, for them to leak that they all, every commander of every other command, said, don't continue to put troops, don't continue to maintain our military levels in the Middle East against Hanks, that's order, you know, to leak a knife. It's one thing to not concur in the recommendation of Hanks, death, but it's another thing for them to leak the fact they did not concur. So you have basically a rebellion going on at all levels of the Pentagon against this

war continuing and yet Trump ignores it all. And it's because he's in his own little mindset where he's his own little fantasy world, his own little confabulation where toddler must win. And that's why we're in this nightmare scenario that keeps getting worse. Yeah, and it does. And let's just take a look at this. This is a, this is a current map of what's been struck here in the last hour and a half or so. You see, Kashm Island, Bender, Abbas, Manab, Syrac, Jask, Conorak and Charvahar all have been hit that we know of. There may be more as well. President Trump was talking about how he's going to hit bigger. Now let's take a look at the escalation that we jumped up here. This started off with us initiating by claiming that we saw Iran missiles about to launch that we're going to deploy mines back in the sea. I'm not sure how we got this intelligence that said that that's what was going to happen. And that was never explained, but whatever we did. And of course, Iran retaliated like they always do. And they shot UAE and our base with a weak claim that Trump did in this, in the true social

out here, that we shot down all eight of those. But satellite imagery is showing that indeed some of them did get through, who knows maybe all of them. But now then we see that he's up the ante again. So from starting with hitting a couple of missile launchers, now then we're hitting all of these sites here. And you can just be guaranteed. And we're going to cover this in a second that the Iranian side is going to respond here too. And as they typically do, whatever we did, they do a little bit more. So where are we going to go on the backside of whatever Iran is about to do, possibly within hours from now? Well, basically Trump is walking right into the Iranian trap because I put up two articles on the substack Barnes brief, started because Mario Nafel wanted me to put this in writing. And it was on Iranian public opinion. And it was Iranian public opinion before the war. But you could see clear directional trends. One was that the Iranian public was much more hard-lined than the government that we took out was it was becoming that way after the October 2024 Israeli attacks.

And then the summer 2025 US Israeli combined attacks. They had shifted to from not wanting nuclear weapons to wanting nuclear weapons as an effective deterrent. They thought Iran had been too patient, too easy to go to diplomacy, too unwilling to resort to military counterattacks. And so once you knew that was where Iranian public opinion was, you knew that it would even be more hard-line after the attack on the girl school and the attack on Iran and the kill of murdering their religious leader and its four-year-old granddaughter, who was at the very front her coffin of all the funerals that traveled throughout the country that had a record setting number of people who participated. So the question was only going to be when would the Iranian government represent the more hard-line mindset and mentality of its public. And now you have that. And you know, the new Supreme Leader put in charge of the National Security Council, someone who has, by the way, a PhD in economics. It's like a lot of the Iranian leadership. The they're much more well-educated than we in the West give them credit for.

But he came up, I mean, he was, I think, 27 ahead of the IRGC during the Iran-arach war. So tell me about somebody that he's a very hard-line guy. And what he has said is any attack we will reciprocate 12 times higher, that the days of tip for attack are over, that you hit us, we're going to hit you much harder, over and over and over again. And what that written, but the government in Iran currently needs for the is for Trump to do what he's doing because it gives them the pretext to keep the straight clothes, which otherwise they would have pressure from China, Russia, and the global South to reopen. And it because it keeps it in a permanent state of war and a continuous kinetic conflict. And it allows them, I mean, Trump was thinking, taking credit, saying, well, we used a bunch of interceptors to take out their weapons. But that's a win for Iran just as much as actually hitting the bases because their goal is to atrit the web, the interceptors to such a degree that they can ultimately launch a major attack with their newest, newest weapons, with the least amount of defenses available. We had to remove all of our helicopters from the Jordanian base.

Now, it looks like Trump lied again because Iran or others published satellite photos showing that in fact they hit the base, they didn't intercept everything. But essentially we have a choice of either we exhaust our interceptors or we let our bases get hit. That's the, and that's the reality. That's why everybody in the Pentagon said no to continuing this conflict. I mean, that's why the, and they're so upset about it, they leaked it to the press, which is very rare to have happened in this kind of, in the, in the middle of such a kinetic conflict. So what Iran's going to do is they're going to reciprocate and with much harsher terms, with much more aggressive retaliatory terms. And then what Trump is saying is, if you retaliate harder, then I'll be a sucker and I'll retaliate harder because I want to jump in the escalation trap. The, I want to be, you know, thrown into the, the, I want to be stuck in the tar pit rather than be thrown into the briar pitch, a briar patch. So he just keeps compounding his heirs and compounding his heirs and he does a set of time that is even political reported is even axiosis reporting is even other mainstream publications

are reporting. The Republicans are recognizing they're facing a bloodbath in the midterms because of his continuous involvement in this conflict. And then I mean, I, I, I hesitate to ask the question, but I have to. What is he thinking? Because I mean, you know, it's not going to happen. I mean, I'm surely he's told what the Pentagon is saying, what these military leaders are saying. I can imagine that the vice president is probably telling him some of these same things he certainly has in the past. But I mean, just look at a couple of things here. This is, this is, Gali Baf was saying this came out, I think, a little bit before. Yeah, this, this came out about an hour and a half before we launched this strike. And Gali Baf said, if they intensify the siege, we will certainly respond militarily. And everyone will suffer loss. If the enemy is determined that we should not export oil from the Persian Gulf, no one will, will be able to export oil. And then this one actually came out, actually, after the, the strikes that be gone, that said, this is from one of the senior members of parliament.

The Rand's latest response was more than warning. It was a formal declaration. A Rand's document of deterrence has evolved. The message is clear, the might of the armed forces will ensure enemy regret. We know that you had been in this during your top secret emergency meeting yesterday. Not sure what that's in reference to. But then I go back to what Trump said here. I mean, he's laying the foundation. If you retaliate, then the next one will be much harder. And then saying he's going to, he has even more ramp up room with this biggest one of all, which presumably is the one that he didn't do three or four weeks ago when Saudi Arabia talked him out of it, et cetera. Where in Trump's mind can this go? Well, in Trump's mind, you know, if you think like he, he, years ago, they did a study of criminals and they said criminals have low IQ. And I used to point out captured criminals have low IQ. And the reason is they're one step thinkers. They think, I'd like to steal that purse. They don't think, how do I get away with stealing that purse? The, that's where Trump is right now. He is a one step thinker. He is not a two step thinker.

That has been shown by the, I mean, you have no better evidence of that than Friday. Wait, wait, wait, wait. I thought he was an eight, eight level chess player. Yeah, exactly, exactly. Well, as Thomas Massie's wife once joked, the Thomas Massie once said, they're not playing chess. They're playing checkers up in Washington. She said, no, they're not. They're chewing on the red chip and chewing on the black chip and see which one tastes better. The, that's where Trump is at, sadly. There's a meme of him is like from, you know, has a monkey playing playing, trying to pretend to play chess and he's actually playing checkers. So the, I mean, that, that's the reality of it. Sadly, thinks of toddler mindset and mentality. Best evidence of that is what happened on Friday. And then what happened today on Friday, Army Secretary Driscoll goes to meet the president in the Oval Office to try to explain to him the problems. And there's multiple problems. So Army Secretary Driscoll comes from a long military family, but comes from Western North Carolina, which is Apple Action. This is a historic area of strong fighters, but they also have a long historical, political opposition to foolish and dumb and, uh, and counter useful wars.

So he used close friends with Vice President Vance. They met at Yale Law School. He was brought in by Vance to be, uh, to help clean up the entire, and reform our entire Army infrastructure, partially bothering, uh, borrowing from our mutual friend Colonel McGregor's ideas for how to restructure the military. He was, and he was also doing it to re-employ drone warfare. He was on the front lines of studying what was happening in the Ukraine war to learn how can the U.S. shift to the new battlescape, the new, the new, the, the, landscape, and that that was going to be very much a drone-driven battlefield. Now, the people that opposed it are everybody within sort of the old school hierarchy, within the Pentagon, that like the old system in terms of having, you know, everybody's a general, it seems. The, you've got that problem. Then the other hurdle he had was the military industrial complex opposed shifting to cheaper, more affordable weapons, uh, like a drone battlefield, because that means you don't need as many of these very expensive missiles and planes and things, and big, uh, big, big aircraft carriers and the light. So the, so he had institutional opposition for that reason,

and heggs that this is in line with the military industrial complex on that. But the other part was he opposed the Ukraine war. He actually was sent over last year at one point, um, behalf of Vice President Vance to see what he could negotiate. He tried to get the US to D, the CIA to back off of its dirty war, even sat it on a meeting to the surprise of the Russians at the time, between the Russians and Ukrainians, uh, in the Middle East. They were negotiating the, the scale of that dirty war that was getting out of control. The, uh, Andy opposed the Iran war, and he goes into the President on Friday to explain to him the, the, the problems that the, the simple, the limitations on our munitions, the way in which this war is distracting from every other geopolitical agenda the President has, including any possibility of peace in the Ukraine war, that he's, uh, George BB was on, uh, with Ian Proud talking about that precise fact that Trump's political capital is getting bled out by the Iran war in terms of trying to achieve anything on the Ukraine war front. The, and that there needs to be major shift within the army to a more, uh, drone system and all of this is getting derailed by the Iran war,

and they don't have the munitions to continue to do the Iran war. The, and Trump spent most of the time talking about the curtains and how much Goldie had, look at this gold, look at that piece of gold. Again, other piece of gold over here in the Oval Office. Hey, I think I'm gonna get my ballroom done. That convinced Driscoll that there was no hope with, with Trump in this second turn. And he was like, I'm out of here. I'm not hanging around for this shit show on steroids. The, and that's why he left on Tuesday along with his deputy. And what that means is that you all you have his Heggs that, who's, you know, right at a central casting, yes, central casting, South Park's Team America World Police, uh, uh, central casting, the, uh, just cheering, cheerleading the President wherever he goes. Whatever the President's worst instincts are, he cheerleads it. And that's why you're, uh, the, the, the Trump just lives in his own, uh, delusional world, confabulates on a regular basis. He pretends he's got leverage. He even went over and over again. I mean, Einstein said, definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome. That is exactly what Trump has been doing now for six months. Doing the exact same thing and expecting a different outcome. And he convinces himself with different outcomes coming, even when it doesn't come.

Even when it is his career military, people say it's not gonna happen. His career, I mean, Tulsi Gabbard has now has been published. The, uh, I know we got some blowback at the time saying it, but she had said, in fact, this now is confirmed that the, the, the she told Trump every single thing that was going to happen in this Iran war and every single thing has happened that's happened in the Iran war, but she, like everybody else, like Emerilist Fox, like Joe Kent, like Michael Anton, they've all been now like, uh, Driscoll and his deputy have all been shoved out. All that's left is Colby and his deputy. And that's it. Everybody that was a realist that was willing to, to stand up to Trump to speak back to Trump is gone other than vice president advance. And speaking of vice president, I mean, where is he in this? I mean, I can only imagine given what he has said in the past that he's just got to be dying right now. And especially with that, that, that, Gary, if you could put that back up there, this, uh, uh, just posted by a speaker of the parliament, uh, got a buff, who says severe punishment awaits the aggressors. America will regret its new attacks. And by the way, I mean, I don't have any independent confirmation of this,

but this is one of these, uh, sites here said that there was a report that a, of a wave of anti-ship cruise missiles had been launched, uh, toward the goal of a man. Those things have a bit of a flat time. Those that happened just before we came on. I have no idea if that's right or not, but I know that they do have that capacity. Um, if this results, whether that's what he's talking about or not, but if this results in, like, significantly more harm to the American forces, I mean, at some point, we're going to have to do, we're either going to have to go to something big. And by the way, his comment there, uh, let me go back to that. Actually, President Trump's comment here, uh, says when, when this is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I mean, let's just be honest, no conventional weapon is going to leave that result to something as big as most of Western Europe. I mean, the only thing that can do that is nuclear weapons is President Trump thinking about nuclear weapons. Well, fortunately enough people published the fact, including Tucker Carlson doing a big show on it, about the president constantly flirting with the idea of using nuclear weapons, which is something he

was always afraid of nuclear war back with his uncle Fred, all the way back, uh, growing up. I mean, he used to talk about it, used to call it the N word. The, uh, and that has reversed in the last six months, like so many other things of his policy, uh, predelictions because his decision-making process is completely diminished due to his psychological state being driven by toddler-esque emotions and, in the process, and he only wants sycophants around him. It doesn't want any killers, uh, as he used to call them and what he, he got that from his father. And by killers, he meant, you know, people that were tough, hard-nosed, really effective, but would stand up to him. He doesn't want them around anymore. And so in his confabulated universe, the, he convinces himself, but fortunately, because this gets leaked out and be, at least to press asking about it, and that forces him to say no, like he said yesterday. So, oh, no, you know, I've totally destroyed him. So it probably wouldn't make sense to use nuclear weapons. The, uh, well, that also means why are we attacking them at all? It's the straight of America, after all, right? Uh, we, we own it, we control it. Uh, so, well, there are no minds there, uh, that they can only do a little, you know, pin,

you know, pin-pipe, pin-strike now and then, uh, you know, a little bee sting now and then. The, so, but, what are we doing in any of this? But so the, that at least forced him to publicly back down off of what he, every time he floats it, everybody in the room says, no, bad idea. So including, uh, General Kane. So the, uh, but he constantly floats with it in the back of his mind. And the question becomes if he keeps losing this conflict in the way he tries to escalate. As Iran shows, they have the escalatory edge. Uh, does he go back to flirting with it? I think there's been so much systemic pushback from within the administration on it that it is extremely highly unlikely that he even plays around with it going forward. Fortunately, thanks to people getting it out there that he was, uh, thinking about it in the first place. And that forces him to, you know, publicly defend it. He can't publicly defend even the consideration or contemplation of it. Well, yeah, and for those who may have missed it, uh, here, here is that exchange in the Oval Office yesterday on the new. We're weapon question. You ruled out using a new fear weapon against Iran.

Well, I would never say that, but, uh, the issue is yes. I ruled out, I rule out, no, it's no reason for it. And what a stupid question that is actually here they are. They're, they're, they're totally defeated militarily. So now I defeat them and now I should use a nuclear weapon on top of them. What a stupid question. Okay. Yes. So if they've been militarily defeated now, then what were those missiles that flew into Jordan yesterday? And what's probably coming even, who knows, before we even get off the air here? Yeah. I mean, I think what it represents is you see almost with the Trump's transition, like he's first saying, you know, that he wasn't in fact contemplating it. And then he gets angry at himself for contemplating it. And so he takes out his anger on her for contemplating it. So the, you're seeing that sort of, you're seeing a version of, you know, Trump's a lot slower and it speaks than he used to. His locution that he used to really obsess over is diminished. He now slurs words. He falls asleep in the Oval Office about half the time.

So the, this is not a good position for the country to be in. Someone that is of this diminished mental state of this, you know, the, of this sort of emotional, driven processing that is causing. And a lot of the restrainers around him, increasingly absent from the room. The, I think, Colby will hang in there for a range of reasons. And Colby, you know, learned from his grandfather, Adam Manuver, through the, the food chain, his grandfather famously disclosed the family jewels of the CIA for which CIA never forgave him. But the, and I don't think the family ever forgave the CIA for how they handled that. But so I think that's where a lot of that is. But you get a sense of Trump's desperation and confabulation that he sends Ratboy over to Moscow thinking that would somehow lead to a resolution in the Ukraine war. The one guy who's probably more despised and inside even more than Rubio, inside Russia is Ratboy, more disrespected and disregarded is Ratboy. The, and Ratboy had to go begging to even get a visit. Because originally, you know, whatever they sent that C-17 over for,

who wasn't because they, they needed it for Ratboy's, that's a trip. It was going over there to pick up something, hostages, dead bodies, who knows? That were, you know, some of our CIA Spooks caught on the ground in Ukraine or in Russia, part of this dirty war that the CIA has been authorized and launched and Ratcliffe, by the scene, has taken tons of credit for. Of course, it's going completely sideways as it greenlit the Russians, taking out Odessa, taking out the wheat trade and now hitting, it's like, okay, if you want to hit our version of Amazon, we'll hit your version of Amazon. And except we have a lot more capability to do so, and you have a lot less resources to withstand such hits. That's why they're grocery stores are 90% empty through large parts of Kiev and large parts of Ukraine now. They're about to face a logistics nightmare while they're facing a military collapse on the battlefield at the same time. But what they, but the drone war and the dirty war, greenlit Putin did it. As Putin said, you open up Pandora's box. Good luck enjoying the outcome of that. But the fact even sent Ratboy over there tells you what kind of delusional mindset he's at.

Because Ratboy has done the mushroom, I warned Vice President Vance of this early on when they were buying into this nonsense last fall, that the CIA is going to give you the dirty war part of the CIA is going to give you the mushroom strategy, which is they're going to keep you in the dark and feed you shit. And that's exactly what they've done on the Ukraine conflict all the way through. That's why you get people like Patreus and others who believe utter gibberish and nonsense about what's happening in the Russian economy, what's happened in the Russian policy, politically what is happening on the battlefield, what is happening across the whole landscape. But the fact that even sent him over there to go begging to say, hey, we'll put a halt to the dirty war, we'll put a cap on it, we won't have Ukraine bombing civilian air liners around Moscow. If you guys will agree to some form of ceasefire, which Putin wouldn't even meet with him, Lavrov wouldn't even meet with him. He had to land in Latvia and regub in advance because Russia hadn't even greenlit him coming inside the country. And they just let him meet with the Russian

intelligence, laugh at him later and send him back in. Because the Russia's response was the very next day launched one of the biggest missile attacks and drone attacks on Ukraine that ever done. So that was their message to Ratboy, who they blamed for trying to coordinate the Ukrainian assassination attempt on Putin last December. Yeah, not a very good one there. I'm going to get back a little bit more to the European side here in just a second. But I want to ask you something here about where this can go. Because we talk a lot about the, what's what I'm looking for? Well, what do we got here? Would Gary pop us up a ran official announcement in response to US Army's aerial aggression against targets in Sastan and Blu just standing, or Musigan, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic will inflict crushing and devastating blows on the evil American enemy, the US Army, the more it sits on mischief in the region, the more heavily damaged in Miss Bear. We have repeatedly declared and resolved that under no circumstances, will we back down from the rise of the heroic or random nation and we will impose heavy costs on the American

enemy. So yeah, something big is coming. We can only imagine that's pretty consistent with what they've done the entire six months of this. I don't know why it'd be any different. One of the everything I'm about to ask you may be moot now, depending on what happens here. But we've talked a lot about the walkaway plan that he could just claim victory and just leave. Now, obviously there was a great shot on June 17th when he signed the MOU that could have been his exit ramp. But prior to this, I was wondering if was Senator Kennedy trying to lay the foundation for him to be able to claim victory and then walk away. Watch this. Some people say, well, make a deal. Dealing with the Iranian government is like dealing with a wild pack of howler monkeys. They're crazy. You can't take their word. I wouldn't take their word for the same reason that I don't drink water out of a toilet. You can't trust them. Number two, we have accomplished most of why we went into Iran. We have degraded their military. We've degraded their economy. We've torn a manoeu estuary. It'll take

him 20 years to climb out of this hole. The problem, of course, is the straight of horror movies. And some all is getting through, but not enough. And I don't have an answer for that. But in the meantime, I don't think anybody does. I step to the Iranians. It would be an option. I'm not saying I would do it. But it would certainly be an option at some point. Now that we've accomplished most of our goals for us to come home. Now, obviously, we haven't accomplished any of our goals. And it's a lot worse than it was. But the fact that he's saying, yeah, we've destroyed a bunch of stuff. So maybe we can just leave. Is he providing a door there? Is there any chance that Trump will go through it? Well, that's where a lot of people think that Trump's under internal pressure to continue to stay in the conflict. That's not the case. That, you know, maybe BB Nihahu and his desperation to get reelected when he's going to get defeated in the upcoming elections in Israel. And some of his Israel lobby advocates want the conflict to just get dragged on. But that's literally it.

The what Senator Kennedy, who's, you know, no friend of the Iranian regime, Iranian government, the end who has custom of the nuttiest views of Shia Islam, known to man. I mean, he's funny. In a good way and in a bad way. He's funny and then he's got comedic phrases and words that he use. And he's funny and then he's embarrassing to the United States on a global stage when he tries to tell you about geopolitics or about the Islamic religion or about the Shia version of Islam. But what he is representing is what leaked out throughout the press this week, which is the White House's own polls, the Republican National Committee, the RSCC, the RCC, a whole bunch of candidate polls show what, you know, Richard Barrison, I were talking about last September. And I've been saying all the way through once this conflict started that they're looking at a bloodbath in the House and the Senate for governorships and for state legislatures all across the country. Richard Barrison has a book coming out called Burn It All Down, which will be available three weeks people can pre-order it on Amazon, going into where the mindset is of the new generation of the future of

American electorate. And Burn It All Down kind of gives you a sense of where they're at that the meadow Trump for a brief time when he signed the MOU, which Vance's advice has been either just end the blockade or honor the MOU. Trump is ignoring both of those pieces of advice because it would admit in Trump's mind not winning and toddler must win. And so consequently that's why he's staying in. But the reason why even people like Kennedy are saying, hey, we got to get out of this. Please just declare victory and come home is because even on places like Fox News, which has mostly been cheerleaders for this war is because right now they're in a position to lose over 240 House seats to the Democratic Party in the midterms to lose at least 53 Senate seats to the Democrats in the midterms. It may go as to give you an idea, there's internal polls showing Darleen Graham behind in South Carolina. There's internal polls showing them in trouble in states they have no idea. They never thought would be in trouble including in Kennedy's home state in Louisiana that the

Republican nominee is within the margin of error in Louisiana, 20 plus Trump state. But there's internal polls that show Tom Cotton in trouble in Arkansas, another 20 plus Republican state. They are down in Nebraska. They are down in Iowa. They are down in Ohio. They are down in Maine. They are down in Alaska. They are down in Texas. So you've got a wide swath of states where the Senate is at major jeopardy of being lost. And that's the last sort of damn they have to hold up any political power for the president in the second part of the second term. So that's why Kennedy is begging please for the love of God get out that when Trump honored the M did the MOU there was a burst of support and a boost of confidence on the economic side and a boost of support for his approval amongst the electorate that is completely collapsed and reversed since he went back in. The longer he stays in the more he bleeds out politically and the and ultimately nothing he could achieve in Iran could offset being wiped out in the House in the Senate that's going to lead to

investigations and impeachments of President Trump, including Secretary War Hegsdith is one of the top people they plan on impeaching using what happened on the event as well in attacks. There's more evidence Max Blumenthal drop site others have been covering that in fact we did hit fishermen boats in some cases. We took them captive and tortured them turned out they had nothing that all to do with the drug trade so that they're already investigating that aspect to go with what's what the first thing Democrats are going to do is immediately say as soon as they take over you have if he isn't yet out by January of 2027 you have to get out immediately under the war powers act and if he does anything after that it will be article one of his own impeachment. So the that's why you're seeing even Kennedy adopt what Joe Kent's position in Kent's position has been that way because he recognizes Trump is dealing capable. Trump is not Iran that's incapable of honoring a deal. It's Trump that's incapable of honoring a deal as the Russians found out with his anchorage deal last summer. So the that's the the situation we're in and even though Vance wants him to honor the

MOU because that would be to a longer strategic path to a more reasonable progress with Iran and the Middle East Trump is dealing capable at the moment so the best option for those that want non intervention or just don't want a Republican wipe out in the fall is for Trump to exit but whether and if he exits if he would Vance has told him is if he withdraws the blockade and reduces our military footprint in the region and and releases sanctions on the oil then the that combination will put too much pressure on Iran he doesn't have to release all of the sanctions he doesn't have to solve all the other conflicts involving the hoodies involving his beloved involving Hamas the Shia militias in Iraq because though Iran will be under too much global pressure to keep the straight clothes under those circumstances but he is he is refused that advice now for the better part of a month and and where is Vice President Vance in all this I mean does President Trump still listen to him is it because it sounds to me like it'd be pretty first-rated to be beating your head into a brick wall inside the White House on a regular basis. Yes I mean the

Vance does what he can but the reality is most of his allies are now gone from the director of national intelligence from the Pentagon from the State Department the people like Sauron Scotty are not the kind to push back on Trump that they they have a very sick of fantic relationship with Trump same with Hegsdeff same with Rubio when Rubio is just Iing he wants the Israel lobby to back him for a future in the military industrial complex the back him so he plays both sides of the aisle but he doesn't push back consistently against Trump at all on this so it's Vance all by himself trying Kobe occasionally when he gets the opportunity but that's literally it everybody else is saying whatever Trump wants I mean that's why you have I mean Sauron Scotty is going to burn the last bit of his credibility his friends like to get together and laugh at his press conferences because they know that he knows he's full of it my favorite one was the economic D-Day which was D-O-A as soon as his press conference was held because they asked him here are you going to do this on China because you know that that's the real big player here in terms of the Iranian economy

for secondary sanctions he's like are you crazy I don't want to seek the whole global economy but you know that you know so you know he even he knew it was complete crap what he was talking about today it's so bad he's like don't worry in two years these so he's he's compounded you know a year ago he said China made a big mistake by playing there where Earth's card because well we'll be able to replace their Earth in a year how's that working the but now is latest one is the straight of her moves will be irrelevant in just two years will be totally irrelevant in two years so the I mean that that's how now maybe that's somebody's backdoor strategy to convince Trump he doesn't need to worry about the straight he could just go home because he'll be irrelevant in two years good luck with that but that gives you an idea of where their their mindset is is that you have a bunch you have a cabinet of cowards surrounding a toddler president and that does not breed well and you have one or two sane voices that sporadically get heard but they're getting swapped by the the confabulations of Trump and the sick of fans around you and does there is there I mean is there any hope that president Trump will just do what's in his own best interest

politically forget about the country for the moment forget about doing what's right just they look politically this is your best move which I know that Rich Barris it's your event that I went to their in Tennessee I mean he said that on the podium that it was already told him that and he yet he still keeps taking actions that are antithetical it just seems that keeps going almost and maybe you have some explanation for this that that can help me keep from but my own head into a brick wall but if he's doing the things that are knowingly against his own interest then you must have the logic that he's doing things intentionally that he knows harms himself and I don't I can't make that make sense even with somebody who has no morals yeah well the basically just imagine a toddler who keeps sticking his fingers in the socket and you hope every time he gets shot that he learns not to put his fingers in the socket but Trump is unique Trump's like I bet it works this time right back it right back it right back it so the question is when does

he finally learn from being shocked don't put your fingers in the socket the it's been striking watching it happen in live time no matter strategy has consistently worked with him sporadically it works worked in April to get the original deal in place but then he blew it up a few days later then it worked to get the MOU and then he blew that up two weeks later the question is maybe the combination of what's going to happen so I think it will kind of shock him this that that BB is going to lose in Israel and that Natali Bennett's also not going to be his replacement was like BB without the baggage of corruption it's going to be that general and I understand Israel skeptics are skeptical of what that general will do but there's a history I mean just six years ago that same general was for a two-state solution in Israel so but it will surprise Trump that BB is gone and then BB's back on trial and is going to prison so there's one of the so Lindsay Graham is dead BB when BB's gone who's whispering in Trump's here to promote the war because the

the all the hawks in the Republican Senate are terrified of their what they're they're facing politically and you see that even the Russian sanctions bill that was thought to sort of breeze through the house is now not even going to pass through the house because Mike Johnson's had the sidetrack it because there's enough Republican dissidents to go with the Democratic party that he can't get it through the house so that gives an idea of where things are are going politically that there'll be more and more restraints on Trump as he goes forward and fewer people able to successfully whisper to him in such a way that to motivate his worst instincts and impulses so I think that most likely if a ran responds very strongly I think the response from Trump will not be it will not be an aggressive retaliation it'll be recognizing that everybody will advise we can't withstand this and keep this up at this escalatory level in ladder and that hopefully he backs off and we just end up with like a stalemate until the midterms and in the midterms send him in such a shockwave and under such a defensive regime that he effectively has to step back and at the same

time your crane may collapse far faster than anybody thinks and definitely far faster than he's been led to believe by his own state department and CIA and if that happens that too might lead him to reconsider a set of options let's hope well in fact let's let's spend the remainder of our time looking at that one too because all this it continues to bring pressure on the White House specifically on President Trump and if you can accuse him of being confabulation and maybe having some dementia or whatever is going on in his mind it's a little harder to say that about some of the guys in Europe who have the same kind of proclivities let's take a look at the new British Prime Minister who made his first speech for the House of Commons today and he gives a kind of a pale to his predecessor Kierstormer. The position my right honorable friend took on Ukraine building on the work of his predecessors as Prime Minister is one which I will not change whatever the threats we face. We do not seek escalation but instead will stand firm in providing

what help we can to enable Ukraine to defend itself from this illegal invasion. Britain's defence starts in Ukraine and the defence of our nation will always be my first priority. Yeah well if that's your first priority you're going about it kind of wrong but look I mean he says we aren't interested in escalating but that's exactly what he's done since he's been in is they've escalated how much targeting and physical components they're given with storm shadow missiles to strike deep into Russia what is going on with that? I mean I guess somebody should tell the the Brits that their empire is actually over yeah that's been a little over for a little while I'm pretty sure the British territorial limits do not start in the Donbass despite what Burnham just said so you know Burnham was known to be more of a skeptic of this but he was under massive deep state pressure to play ball and he capitulated quickly he's going to suffer from the same Alinsky curse as everybody else in Europe that sooner or later ends up gone I mean heck you

could even argue Lindsey Graham ended up on the receiving end of the Zelensky curse by the end of it the so I mean what's happening in Ukraine is the drone war backfire the dirty war that's been mostly run by the CIA. Rap away is a huge fan of the Ukraine war very much a deep state asset it was by the way his idea to promote to blame China for the 2020 election the fact that fell flat on its face led to some credibility problems with Ratcliffe with Trump because he wanted to get some mojo from that and it went nowhere it has the problem that it's untrue that's one of the big problems like most of the other things rap voices so the but you look at it basically been running a CIA dirty war uh rap boy is a big fan of the CIA dirty war unfortunately people like see more a hersher just replicating and repeating CIA propaganda these days he's he's fallen off his purchase of a parade but the but that gives you a sense of their mindset including attempting to assassinate Putin in December the he was effectively implicitly bragging about it the New York Times the morning of talking about how Trump had approved this dirty war through drone warfare deep inside

Russia on a golf course because it would have plausible deniability it doesn't help that plausible deniability if your CIA rap boy goes and rats you out to the New York Times about it but he thought they were going to take out Putin that afternoon and he could take credit for it uh which of course would have been a disaster had it actually occurred the reality in Russia's its economy is very strong I remember arguing about this with uh vice president vans in the fall it's like you can look at the international monetary funds own data real wages are growing dramatically in Russia their core economy is growing dramatic same reason why we couldn't do sanctions on Iran and it worked Iran is fuel self-sufficient food self-sufficient national security self-sufficient and all it really relies upon is uh for external money is its oil exports and that goes to China India Pakistan uh Iraq and today Putin said he will provide whatever Russia will provide whatever Iran needs to deal with the blockade whatever goods they need or a Russia will provide the that that tells you an idea of how bad an idea it was for Trump to send rap boy to Russia the you know

they they have all they have done is escalated in reciprocal in reciprocal kind for even sending that dim weight over there so the uh so but but what the president believes sporadically it changes on a day-to-day basis sometimes a minute to minute basis uh because of where his mind is at but the vans has come to understand as uh army secretary driscoe did when he was over in Ukraine he told the Europeans you're gonna get your ears with that's what's gonna happen so you better solve it now the but now you know driscoe is going that the uh the reality is Russia's economy is strong their politics is strong the two other parties that are competing in the parliamentary elections the communist and a more right-leaning party right nationalist leaning party i think people like stonislav are connected with them they want to be more aggressive in Ukraine there is no big hey let's solve let let's reunite with Europe let's do a diplomatic peace deal with Ukraine there is no appetite for that left in russia because of the dirty work the dirty war escalated in such a way blowing up cafes you know killing the daughter of journalist you know a journalist

daughter of of people like uh Alexander doogan the kill you know hitting a teachers college of a bunch of young teenage girls hitting an orphanage with a bunch of little kids hitting a gas station when there was cars lined up behind it the uh russia is food self-sufficient fuel self-sufficient national security self-sufficient self-sufficient they had as driscoe was trying to tell the president they have advances and edges in a wide range of weaponry over us contrary to what the military industrial complex has been pretending and so the nature of it is the they're now squeezing Ukraine economically cutting off Odessa cutting off a lot of the arm shipments were coming in there directly or indirectly that is now cut off it's so bad Kellogg was over there saying draft your women draft your women you know drag drag drag the mamas to the front line yeah that gives you an idea how bad it is there army uh another what the the corruption scandals keep building and building and building yeah uh the as i think it's the lensky's what second third chief of staff that's under criminal investigation the that's on tape talking about a forest they called their own

crimes for it with some one particular criminal scheme they called it the forest gump you know that i don't know because the so the stupid is a stupid does i guess welcome to zolensky style so the uh the they're about to fall apart they're losing on the front lines they're sending the ass-off battalion into Donbass that's a gift to the Ruskies because now they don't got to worry about well how they handle those boys uh those boys ain't coming back out of the Donbass so the uh and they're and they're squeezing on Odessa and increasingly squeezing on tf and they're assigning more and more hardline generals to each of these uh levels of conflict and so what that likely means as Ukraine's going to collapse it will probably collapse sooner rather than later and now it won't just be the Donbass it will be everything east of the Danipper but not only that it'll probably Odessa and everything along the black seat coast and they're probably going to go back and take the historic homeland of the Rusk which is Kiev the uh and that means you'll be left with a little rump Ukraine left it in you know little side part of the country uh and that will be an embarrassment to the European leadership class it'll be an embarrassment to CIA director raccliffe who promised

victory and success it will humiliate all the military industrial complex advisors that have been giving contrary analysis throughout all of Washington if i talked to a typical member of the House of the Senate they tell me oh no Russia's right about the clap about their big problem you know the Putin probably gonna get overthrown i mean utter gibberish utter gibberish that somebody that can just you know google on the internet could figure out so the uh nature of the conflict is going to be the Russia's going to win that conflict and the great effort of Russian reprospon is will be the a failed effort of President Trump who couldn't even keep his word to keep the anchorage had the anchorage deal gone through it was very beneficial to Ukraine very beneficial to us Russia relations and it was part of the national security strategy that was has now been blown up one part of national security strategy was no more Middle Eastern wars another part of the national security strategy was reproach reproach might with Russia in order to secure third part isolation of China we've managed to push Russia and China closer together Russia Iran and China closer together

we're creating an Islamic NATO of Pakistan Turkey Saudi Arabia that may end up adding Egypt Syria and Iran to that equation and so the net effect is the whole the whole tripartite structure is going to fall apart because Trump can't keep his word Trump can't do a deal and Trump uh his second term will have need a sequel to his book and it'll be the art of the no deal Trump second term yeah uh that's that'll that'll be an ugly book there this is some of those folks that we've been pushing together by pushing against them but it's not helping our side out at all and we can talk all kinds of things about the the ammunition not just in the Iran war but in the Middle East or the European war as well and again it it confabulation that works with Trump but it showed you Andy Burnham I don't know I guess he's given into the the war hawk lusters but ordinarily people would seem to have some sort of self-interest at heart and say okay well I don't

I don't want to keep putting my finger in that socket because I once is enough normal people would but I mean here's Kayak Kallis who's the the senior diplomat for the European Union uh apparently she doesn't even pull her finger out russus war is becoming more ruthless and destructive but it's unfortunately not closer to ending russus army is bogged down on the ground and that is why they are killing civilians from the skies and this is terror by design russus also hit in Europe with a wave of increasingly kinetic hybrid attacks with this russus wants to scare us away from supporting Ukraine they will not succeed to the contrary. Today also the discussions that we had, we will increase our support to crane and invest in our own defense. This is the best way to stop Putin. Yeah, no, you're not, that's the best way to attract him to make him keep coming on. But listen, that they already are hugely in debt, European Union, because of the money that they've already

given, because of the ammunition that they've already given, and Zelensky used up already the money that they gave him for this year at six months and is now asking for more, and then he's going to ask for a more again in January. And at what point does the European Union go, dude, we don't have any more money. We can't just keep printing this stuff off like Wall Street does. Where can this go and why this kind of mentality be? Well, you see a lot of confession through projection there when she says they can't win on the battleground. So they're engaging in attacks from the skies and it's terror by design. She's just described the Ukraine strategy over the last six months. They can't win on the battleground. So they launched drone wars in the sky in order to that is terrorism by design against civilian targets. It isn't Russia doing that. It's been Ukraine doing that. And they can festive project all the time. But what we have is a decline. So part of the problem that's unique to Trump is Trump's own personality and declining mental health and psychology. But the, but Trump was supposed to be a break from this elite Neocon neoliberal

and land assist establishment that had become increasingly delusional in its post cold war efforts that they convinced themselves at the end of the cold war that they were going to conquer Russia, control the Middle East and cabin and contain China and that they were going to be the unipolar power in the world. They won the Cold War and now they were going to get the bounty. What they sold the American public, what they sold their own European publics is there would be a peace dividend. But that is in fact what never occurred. And instead because of the desire to monopolize power and the best way to concentrate power in Europe is to have a constant threat out there. And that constant threat for them has become the Russian bear ever since Putin decided he was not going to get let Russia get ravaged and raped by the West for its own personal and political profit. And the, that's the reality of where they're at. But the, I think this may go, I'll often said, you know, the, I don't mind somebody with Kissinger's intellect having bad morals

because at least he's smart enough to know when to be self-restraint. These are people that combine Kissinger's morals with a very deficient intellect. And that is a dangerous, and it's been evident and manifest in the Neocon neoliberal professional class political establishment on foreign policy across the Western landscape since the end of the cold war. And they, I mean, they've ignored the realists like Professor Meersheimer. They've ignored the diplomats like an Alistair crook Gourney and Proud. They've ignored the, you know, sort of independent, dissident commentators, whether it's the Duran yourself, Colonel McGregor or others that have come along over time. And then that effect of that is that the, is that they have a disaster on their hand. And they have an internal economic disaster on their hands because Europe has decided to de-industrialize with its industrial engine Germany collapsing. They, they have an energy crisis about to occur because they're even in a worse position than the US to withstand what's happening out of the strait of hormones. And that despite Trump's promises and claims about all the ships magically appearing

and coming out that's not showing up in anybody that independently assesses this for living economically. So you see that in the price of oil and gas, but you particularly see it in the price of diesel and jet fuel that diesel is getting very high. Farmers are already struggling in the US. They're starting to struggle around the world. There's been more and more food agencies globally that are that are saying a famine is likely to come over the next year because of the fertilizer shortage and the fuel price shot that led many farmers to not even be able to afford to grow crops at the same rate or level. And so you're going to have a food crisis and a fuel crisis hit Europe and large parts of the world in the next year because of the combined disastrous policies of a war against Russia and a war against Iran. And that the it is just the natural consequence of having the best comparison I've made it to is what led to World War One. If you study the elite leadership cast, whether you're talking about then you know, Zara Russia or whether you're talking about the Ottoman Empire or the Austro-Ingarian Empire or the Germans, the friends and the Brits,

in all those cases you study elites that not only were morally corrosively corrupt from a century of colonialism but were also incredibly inept in competent at what they thought they were going to achieve. And within a decade of that war four major empires were gone. The Russian Empire gone, Ottoman Empire gone, Austro-Hungarian Empire gone. You know, to my empires that had lasted 300 to 600 years that you had 30 generations that had never known a world without those empires. And then the British Empire, which where the son never sat, well the never sat, well the son never rose over most of the rest of the British Empire because it didn't exist a decade or so after World War One. That's where at the same state. And the hope is that you can have restraining agents if you will in places like Iran and in places like Tehran, Beijing and Moscow because that's the only thing that avoids this becoming a global war. But either way the outcome is going to be the decline of the unipolar moment and Europe in the US is on its decline. Europe just a little faster than

the rest of us because they have managed to have even more corrupt leadership than the rest. And look at what their electorates are saying. They're going to elect Le Pen and if you had told any Frenchman that 10 years ago they would have said impossible that she leads overwhelmingly including in their runoff surveys already in France and the IFD is about to sweep key parts of Germany that they were considered to be uncompetitive in just two years ago. So the when Merz tried to do a rally there he was boot off the stage called Pinocchio in a war monger. So the European publics are turning against this corrupt leadership class and ultimately it's all going to collapse in the same way it's going to collapse for Republicans in the fall if Trump does it course correct radically between now and then. Yeah I know I know how likely that is to happen so don't think we'll be holding our breasts for that kind of a radical change even though I'd love to see one starting with getting out of both of these wars that would be a good start. But listen we sometimes it's kind of a heavy information to put out but we really appreciate your insight

to at least understanding why things are happening the way they are and we'll just have to keep holding out hope that some kind of sanity can rise from some quarter. Yeah and if you want hope and sanity the we put up all of the interviews including with the one and only Daniel Davis at 1776 lostcenter.com the whole conference all the videos does an hours of content Alexander McCoris Alex Christopher over the drain the also Larry Johnson also Jim Webb also Richard Barris Dr. Bowden broke Jackson Chase Hughes the behavior panel a whole bunch of people discussing what can we do to reform and remedy the problems that we currently face particularly in the United States but across the world you can go to 1776 lostcenter.com and for 99.99 you can get all dozen plus hours of interviews and content it goes to contribute to help 1776 lost center support the causes of food freedom medical freedom political freedom and financial freedom as one of the lead legal institute supporting that so that the that's where the hope is the hope

is that somewhere down the road we can get through this dark stage without nuclear apocalypse and to a much brighter page on the other side. Well that's a good word and I hardly endorse people to go there I mean it costs quite a bit more that to go and see it in the live and to get that wrapped up rolling 90-end buck that's a heck of a deal and I can tell you there are some great speeches that were given in great remarks in that in that time there's a lot strongly recommend people doing that and I too have hope for that and appreciate you inviting me to it as a matter of fact. Absolutely and we appreciate you guys and be sure and check us out tomorrow we'll we're going to be back on again for a couple of shows tomorrow but just to let you know I am going to be heading out for the rest of the week though we will have some content for you to be shown periodic here but just look for us tomorrow and I'll see you then on the Daniel Davis deep dive.
