Why we should remember and honor Charlie Kirk

We have recently had that opportunity because we recall 25 years ago, the horrendous events

1:05of 9-11 were committed. If we are ever to learn anything from history, then remembering certain things are good. And as I said, both the good and the bad. One of the good things that happened a year ago was resulting from a young 31-year-old man, Charlie Kirk, who was making a huge difference in America. And sadly, that man was assassinated on September 10th, 2025. What I'd like to discuss particularly today is why we should remember and honor Charlie Kirk. Well hello and welcome, thanks for joining me for another episode of Unity Without Compromise. I'm Dr. Steve LeTulip, your host and I'm reaching out to you on the America Outlawed Talk Radio Network, which I believe really focuses on seeking the truth and spreading the

Now after Charlie Kirk's assassination, which has been memorialized, that occurred on September 10th, 2025, United States citizens were either extremely happy about his death or they bitterly wept. Charlie Kirk's impact on this nation has yet, I believe, to be fully appreciated by both his friends and his enemies. President Trump, and I'm glad to know that he did this, he memorialized Charlie by proclaiming October 14th, 2025, which was Charlie's birthday to be, you would have been 32 this year, well that has been proclaimed to be the turning point USA Founders National Day of Remembrance.

3:12Thank you President Trump for doing that, because Charlie Kirk was something special. Now of course remembering this day has elicited, as one might expect in the divided states of America, which is kind of where we're facing right now, a very polarized response as his legacy was remembered. Some actually recall a bigot, a racist and Islamophob, a ruthless capitalist who was killed last year. But other people remember a person who gave everything he had to serve God and his country. And he did it without a day of military service, he did it without a college degree, and he did it without an abundance of years to make him wise. And I think that says a lot about Charlie Kirk, because it proves that God can use anyone

4:17if first and foremost you are willing. Now saying that, I don't mean that Charlie Kirk was not special, he most certainly was a brilliant individual, the guy look at what he accomplished and you got to give that to him. So Charlie Kirk did some really great things, but and however you feel about Charlie Kirk, nobody can deny him his great accomplishment. This guy was a very intelligent and wise being, and I mean wise for his age and wise according to the principles of God. So why should we remember Charlie Kirk? Well his for one thing, and I think this is the chief thing, his winning strategy to save America was just amazing and it still can work for us. And I believe it is. And that winning strategy was actually mentioned in President Trump's proclamation for Charlie

5:20Kirk. And Trump wrote, if you go to that website, the America website, President Trump wrote, he says, today our nation honors the Imar Till Memory of Charlie, a father, a husband, a Christian martyr and a titan of the American conservative movement. And then he stated his strategy and President Trump called Charlie Kirk's strategy three simple causes, which were number one defending the truth, number two, encouraging debate, and number three, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now that's an extremely good strategy because first of all, Charlie spoke the truth boldly and without reservation. He wasn't shy. Number two, he backed his words with facts all the time, facts, facts, facts.

6:23And then thirdly, he encouraged reasonable debate. And when the debate wasn't so reasonable, he simply called out the nonsense. But he did it in a compassionate way, a loving way, and in a respectful way. And that says an awful lot about Charlie Kirk because not many people, including the President of the United States, can really do that like Charlie could. And finally, Charlie Kirk converted many people to Jesus Christ. And that is profound. I have said, I don't know how many times on this program, there's no way that America is going to survive if Christianity does not thrive in America. And I want to just keep saying it. I suppose that's my soapbox because it is so true. So what I liked about Charlie Kirk is that he actually did his own homework on some really

7:25weighty political issues like liberalism and wokeism. He did his homework on Islam, on Israel. And if you remember, he questioned some of the doings of Israel and rightly so. And then he jumped in on the topic of sexual perversion and all the various movements that have been shoved in our face in recent years. He took on the issues of critical race theory, of diversity, equity, and inclusion. In fact, he wrote about those in his book titled Right Wing Revolution. It's a good read. And then Charlie also delved into some theological issues, which interests me because Charlie had no seminary or Bible college training, but he did study the Bible and he did a good job of it. If you read his book on the Sabbath principle, the title was Stop in the Name of God. I read that book completely and I was reading it critically because I wanted to see how

8:28good he, a job he did and actually sorting out the issues and primarily asking himself, what does the Bible really say? And I got a handkerchief and Charlie did a really fine job of that. And then he took on social issues like the nuclear family and the sacredness of marriage between a man and a woman as a building block for national stability tied them in together. He never shied away from any of the controversial issues of our time. He actually faced them head on and with courage and without any tail talking. He didn't hesitate to confront and I admire that tremendously about Charlie. Now it does not mean that he was never influenced by others because Charlie Kirk was influenced by others. But in a good way, President Trump likely had a strong influence on Charlie in several

9:30areas. Let's not forget, I believe that President Trump was greatly influenced also by Charlie Kirk. And then there's Dennis Prager, Prager you who strongly influenced him on issues like the Jewish Sabbath and other Old Testament issues, the law, but the beautiful thing about Charlie Kirk. This is why I admire the guy even though I did not know him personally. Charlie never blindly followed anyone. I would have loved to entertain a discussion with him on the Bible. In his book, defending the importance of honoring the Sabbath, Charlie listened to arguments from both Jews and Christians for and against a biblical mandate to observe a day of rest to restore body and soul and to focus on God. That was the purpose of the Sabbath and the Sabbath principle holds today. We need a day of rest.

10:31We are created to live in a seven day cycle, the seventh day being a day of rest. So you know, he likely respectfully debated with Dennis Prager who is a Jew and with other Christian leaders regarding the fourth commandment. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. That's the fourth commandment. But what Charlie did not do and I commend him for this. What Charlie did not do is to blindly accept anyone's teaching or dogma on the subject of the Sabbath. Instead, he investigated for himself using his own brain, what the Bible said about it. And he applied rules of sound Bible interpretation, which are the rules of all him. In the human languages, he applied those rules faithfully and did his best not to break

11:32the rules. I thought that was profound because I think few Christians can really do that. And that's why we have so much division in the denominational world, which I'm always arguing against. But you know, when he talked with all these people, he formulated ideas. And when Dennis Prager told him things about the Sabbath, Charlie went to the Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament, which of course Dennis Prager does not honor as the word of God because Dennis Prager rejects Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, as a Jew. That's very sad, but it is a fact and Charlie Kirk kept that in the back of his mind. He listened to him, he respected him, and then he investigated for himself what the Bible really said. And I think that is just profound. What does the Bible say about the Sabbath? And since he applied those sound rules of interpretation, you know, upon reading his entire

12:36book, I had to say that being faithful to those rules served him amazingly well. And after doing so, without being judgmental on a debatable issue, Charlie applied a crucial principle in deciding for himself what would best please God from his own conscious and his own mind. See, when it comes to debatable issues and manners of conscience, you have to read in the book of Romans chapter 14. For example, in verse 5, we are told each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. That's verse 5, knowing that each of us will give an account of himself to God. That's verse 12. So when you think about things like salvation and all and rejecting the Savior, well, Dennis

13:39Prager is going to face God with that. And I'm sure Charlie did his best to evangelize Dennis Prager, but Dennis is going to answer to the Lord Jesus Christ for that according to the Scriptures. But we all are going to face the judge and we want to have a clear conscience. We want to do our best so that we can look at our judge, our Savior and give account, say, Lord, I did my best to follow you. And I think that's what Charlie was doing. Charlie decided for himself to act in a way that he felt best would please God. And he decided for himself how he could best serve God based upon his own study of Scripture. Now if we all did that, we would have unity without compromise in the Christian church. And that I love.

14:41And then what did Charlie do? Well then he did his best to live by his decision. And that is called real Christianity. He did not beat anyone over the head or shame those who disagreed with him. I respect that in Charlie, but he did give a strong defense for his beliefs. He wasn't a coward. He wasn't trying to soft pedal anything. And I'll give you examples of that here in a little bit. His defense for his beliefs were based on an honest open-minded search of Scripture. Actually Charlie Kirk was acting like a Berean Christian. If you read in Acts chapter 17, you read about the Bereans and they were considered more noble-minded than the Thessalonians because they were examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so that the Apostle Paul was teaching them.

15:46That's an Acts chapter 17 verse 11. And that is another principle that I saw that Charlie Kirk lived by. That takes a lot of maturity and a pure heart to be able to do that. But notice it does not take a college degree. It just requires personal integrity, a desire to really know God, to really know His truth. Now, if you ask the average Christian, whatever that means, right, what's the average Christian? Well, the average Evangelical Christian, well, let's just say they don't necessarily know the Bible, at least in any depth. But if you ask the average Christian to honestly assess something, for example, that the Bible condemns, which Charlie Kirk did an awful lot of, well, what chance would they be, that they would be willing to publicly declare their convictions as Charlie

16:53did? For example, the LGBT movement, the transgender movement, right, what do these movements, what have they produced? Well, they've produced instability, destruction, confusion, and pure chaos in society, trans genders, if you look at them, they are typically, typically severely depressed, anxious, or very angry. That's instability, right? Transgenders' lead to a lot of suicidality, an extremely high rate of it, and or almost personality, and we're finally getting that exposed. How many of the mass murderers were transsexuals, or want to be transsexuals? And why were they suicidal and homicidal? Well, because their own bodies were destroyed, including their brains, transgenderism leads

17:57to instability, and at least to suicidality, homo-sidality, the image of God in which they were created has been mangled by their choices. Their lives are intensely focused on things like sex, and all things perverse, that's where they live. And they cannot participate in normal relationships that are healthy and good for us. They cannot participate in normal relationships with normal people. And therein is the destruction that I was talking about. These people have been scammed into believing that their sexuality is interchangeable and negotiable. Well, it is not. So there's the confusion, right? Sex is genetically programmed.

18:57And I don't like the word transgender or gender. It is sex. We were created male and female. There are two sexes. And sex is genetically programmed. So when these transgenders believe the lie and act upon it, look at what results. Parents become derelict protectors. Doctors become child abusers. Teachers become propagandists. And many of them pedophiles. And athletics and sports competition are totally spoiled. When you put that all together, what are you got? Well, you've got chaos. And that's what all of this leads to. You want to find an example, just look at the WNBA, right? The Women's National Basketball Association.

19:58Supporters of men in women's sports are irrational. They're illogical. They are full of hate. And they are truly racist. And their ideas are warped. Most people would say that they're stupid. They're crazy. They're not jobs. Well, words have meaning. And the word woman has a meaning as well. And men and women are created differently. Now Charlie Kirk would have called them out without hesitation, the WNBA. He would have respectfully but fully exposed their nonsense. I love that about Charlie. And this is what we need to do if we're going to save America. We must speak truth out loud. Without camouflage, without hesitancy, without apology, and without compromise.

21:03And we must reach the younger generations. And Charlie did a great job at that. And that is why we should remember and honor Charlie Kirk. This strategy was powerful and we should learn from it. Charlie converted thousands, maybe millions of people, to Christianity. How many of us can claim that? That kind of impact. God used him in a wonderful way, but he was faithful. And that's what made him powerful. He won over all these young people through respectful and unabashed debate. He reasoned with them. What looked what happened to him? He was killed for his good works. Just over a year ago now. Now, what do you suppose will happen to the next Charlie Kirk whom the Lord sends our way? Well, I'll tell you what will happen.

22:05He will be ridiculed, insulted, protested, opposed, threatened. There's a good chance. He also will be killed. Just like the prophets of oath, right? How many times do we read in Scripture? Well, God sent all the prophets and look at how they were used and abused and killed. And their message was rejected, but not by everyone. Their message was written and we read them still to this day. Starting with hindsight, now that Christ our Savior has come. Wow, how profound was the work of all those prophets? So isn't this the fate of all who risked speaking truth and opposing evil? What happened to Charlie Kirk? By nature, evil minds do evil things and evil people oppose good people, right?

23:09So that puts us kind of an enemy territory. And Charlie Kirk knew this. He was by no means unaware of the threats on his life and he went anyways. He roamed on enemy territory. Every time he set foot on a college campus, he was behind enemy lines. And he knew this. And Charlie did not have a death wish. He did not ask for martyrdom, who does, right? He increasingly had security, protecting himself with security. He had a family, had a wife and two children that he loved and wanted to be with at the end of the day. Or at the end of his tours, he didn't have a dash with. And despite the security, an assassin's bullet found its way to Charlie. So sad for us.

24:09What a loss. What a horrible loss. And now Charlie is with the Lord. And of that I'm quite convinced. He bore good fruit. He redeemed a whole bunch of souls from the clutches of deceivers. What a great work. So the question I ask is in all of the remembrance and the honoring of Charlie, will Charlie's ministry continue? Well that remains to be seen. I hope so. And by what I am seeing right now, I'm very encouraged. If you look at Turning Point USA, go to their website. You can see that Turning Point is still very active and they are still growing. According to their website, their ministry right now includes over 3500 Club America schools, over 1500 college chapters and over 12,000 faith groups.

25:16Their latest and upcoming events include the night of remembrance called Freedom Built to Last. That was to honor Charlie Kirk and that took place September 10th on the day of his assassination date on campus at Utah Valley University. And then there was the America, Love It O Leave It Fall campus tour. That's coming up. And it's going to be a great tour if we can have some people who know how to respectfully debate, who know their Bible, which is so crucial. But God, I know your Bible. You have to have confidence that you are truly and accurately proclaiming the Word of God. And if they can do that, the Love It O Leave It Fall campus tour to Strength in America is going to do some great things. The Build the Legacy Movement. Remembering Charlie Kirk, the Memorial Livestream is being made available.

26:17The Invictus Men's Leadership Summit on October 9th will be in Southern California. They got all kinds of things going on. The America Fast, 2026 is an event that's going to take place right here where I'm at close to it anyway in Phoenix on December 17th through 20th. Back in 2019 at the very end of it, right when COVID hit, and I was never able to really get the book launched off, but let me tell you, I think it's a good work to help people to understand that interpreting scripture is not nearly as hard as you might think. And once you get to thinking in the proper channels of how to interpret scripture soundly, you will never again be misled or deceived by false teachers, false preachers, and even by your denominational dogmas that actually could possibly twist some scripture. Now let's remember there are 45,000 different denominations reported in the world, Christian denominations. Which one is right?

31:25Well, that's for you to figure out. And you do that by knowing scripture. And that's why I have to harp on that. I also want to encourage you to go to America out loud.news because you are going to hear some phenomenal speakers, some great video show host talking about some tough issues and some good issues that are purposely designed to strengthen our base as conservatives, as Christians, as people who love God and country. And I know if you're listening to this show, there's a good chance you're already there, but remember, unless we act, we are not going to save this country. If we cannot make America Christian again, then we lose. We lose the game. Party is over. So we've got a lot of work to do. And that is why I want to honor Charlie Kirk because he was hard at the work.

32:30He was doing a good thing. Now Charlie was killed just over a year ago by an assassin's bullet. The assassin is going forward to trial. And he may in fact face the death penalty if convicted. Is he deserving of that? If he is guilty, he is most certainly deserving of the death penalty according to the Bible. It doesn't mean that he cannot be forgiven. It does not mean that this murderer, this ruthless murderer, could not repent of his sin. He could. And God would forgive him. Whether or not he does it, I don't know. But justice must prevail because otherwise what deterrent do we have in society? Well, if this murderer is convicted, is given the death penalty and executed, when's

33:41you're going to take place? And most executions are not swift justice. And if you don't have swift justice, how effective is it going to be? Most executions are carried out decades after the murder was committed. Thanks to our drawn out appeals and snail's pace court system, that goes against us. A lot of bad stuff, by the way, can happen in the meantime. In the period of a few decades, what is America going to look like? I don't know. But the signs of the times are showing that civilization in America right now is regressing. It has done that under evil leadership of Barack Hussein Obama, under the fake leadership of Joe Biden. I thank God for President Trump, a far from perfect man, but a man who I believe loves

34:41his country and is trying to do good things for the nation's sake. And perhaps for his family. And yes, he's a New Yorker. President Trump has plenty of pride, and he's eager to boast about himself and his accomplishments. But okay, so be it. What I am interested in is saving our country. And if God gives us a means to do it, Yahoo, that's a great thing. It's what we need. But the signs of the times are that America has been in a state of decline, at least until President Trump got into the Oval Office again. But it seems like we are in so many ways becoming increasingly more uncivilized, or at least you could honestly say that civilization in America is being threatened by the new communist faction by the ever decrepit Democrats. The world is becoming increasingly violent and unpredictable if you look at every other

35:44country. The hearts of many people are growing cold, under a growing government and societal deception and oppression. And so hard to think to fight. Think about it, even under the Trump administration. Right now, what government agency do you feel we can thoroughly trust to act faithfully on our behalf? Would it be the FDA? How about the CIA, the FBI, the DOJ? National Endowment of the Arts, maybe? Health and Human Services? An IAID, Fauci's former platform where he committed heinous crimes against humanity? Or how about the war department? Even the Department of Homeland Security seems to have its rogue leftovers. You know, they're buried in there.

36:45Do you trust the DNC, the RNC? How about the DSA? Democratic Socialists of America. It's hard to believe, isn't it? Can you even trust your local colleges or high schools or grade schools? Can attorneys be trusted? Can you trust your physician, your doctor? I'm a doctor. I don't trust doctors as a whole. We've seen too much compromise. We've seen too much ugliness and too many lies, too much deception. Do you trust your local mechanic to not scam you? My wife just took a car in for her problem and was just totally scammed. Or they tried. I said, bring the car home. I fixed it. 22,000, 23,000 bucks. You know what fixed the problem, a radiator cap. I don't trust my local mechanic with switching to another.

37:47But I'll do my mechanics work. I trust myself. Can you trust your neighbors? See we have a hard time trusting people these days because when it seems like everybody's out to get you, it's a natural thing to feel a little paranoid and to distrust. Well what is the first step in actually remanning this problem? Well number one, start with yourself. Be trustworthy. Live a life of integrity. As Ghani once said, be the change you want to see in the world. Practice the golden rule. It's that simple. But what happens if the world doesn't respond? What does that do to you? You might ask that, right? What happens if I try to practice the golden rule and I am not treated in the same way? I'm treated poorly.

38:48Well, let's remember one thing. God will respond. He won't forget you good-worse. God is watching us and keeps a perfect record of every good thing we do. A popular quote of our time says that no good deed goes unplunished. I'm sure many people have heard that, but that is not always true. But if you feel totally disheartened because you receive no reward for your kind or unsalphished act, then your motive is all wrong. The Apostle Paul wrote in the New Testament, Closions chapter 3, verse 23, and whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men. Knowing that from the Lord, you will receive the reward of the inheritance. Where you serve the Lord Christ. See, so when you're practicing the golden rule, if you are practicing that and making

39:51that a service to your Lord Jesus Christ, then your motive is right. And you won't feel like you've been slided or short-changed because you didn't get the glory and the rewards you wanted from your good work. So if you're not serving Christ, you're serving yourself. And in that case, serving becomes a selfish act. The Apostle Paul said in Philippians chapter 2, verses 3 and 4, do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind, regard one another as more important than yourself. See, if I have that attitude, then my neighbor is more important than me and I might sacrifice for my neighbor and go out of my way to be kind to him. And Jesus set the perfect example for us and that example should motivate us to make

40:52our life count. And that's what it's all about. I believe that is what motivated Charlie Kirk. Another great teaching point from Charlie Kirk was recently echoed by Nick Friedus in an article that he wrote called, Christians can't afford to stay out of politics anymore. Now the truth is, Christians never should be instructed to stay out of politics. When I was preaching in the preaching ministry, I would discuss politics, but in the proper way, politics is people. You can't remember that, but the focus, the real focus of Christian influence should always be in exposing evil, promoting the truth, and then spring the gospel message, evangelizing and making Christian disciples, genuine disciples, otherwise Christians get distracted from our

41:55whole life purpose, which is to glorify God. That's that simple. Well it matters nothing to me, whether you're Republican or Democrat or a communist even, what matters is good and evil. Republicans, a lot of them, you've heard people saying it, you've probably thought it. Well, they're a bunch of limp noodles. They're fence straddles. They're weak spined compromises. Are they benefiting from their position and in how many ways are these politicians getting filthy rich? That's not a natural act. That comes from compromise of one's own soul. Democrats are, communists are. Well, we could go on and label them, call them names, but instead of labeling them, calling them this or that. Better to say that this is what they do, what they support, what they oppose, and then

43:05we should try to influence them as best we can. We want to reinforce good, we want to oppose evil. That's how Christians should think about politics and that is precisely how Charlie Kirk changed the world. You want to hear some of what Charlie said just to give you a little sprinkling of how and why Charlie was so effective. He was informed, remember, he was a teacher in many ways. He was willing to confront and to challenge and to debate anyone. And he never backed down in the face of evil and evil doers. Well he was in a discussion, for example, with Gavin Newsom. And Gavin Newsom asked him, hey, he says, you know, what, what was, what do you recall your last interaction with Donald Trump was? And Charlie said, well, I don't think Canada should be the 51st state.

44:06He says, and he's saying this right to Gavin Newsom's face who's sitting right there in front of him. He says, we already have California and we have enough libs in our country. That was spoken to Gavin Newsom in an interview. Now, speak the truth wherever it needs to be spoken. That's what we should all do. And that is exactly what Charlie Kirk did. He didn't hesitate. He didn't flinch for a second. And he did not waver on saying the truth. Now, how do you think that hit Gavin Newsom? Well, if you're watching the interview, you'll know. He had no comeback. Charlie Kirk also said that Islam is not compatible with Western civilization. Now a lot of people have said that because it is true. Charlie said Islam is at odds with all of the freedoms that we enjoy. And he pointed out very clearly that Islam is planning to overthrow our government,

45:11overthrow our nation, our freedom without ever firing a shot. And that is a fact that we need to reckon and deal with. Freedom is solely a product of Christian society. And if we don't understand that and put a big period after that, then we're going to lose America. We need strong men in America. We need strong women in America. Charlie said. And he added, and the trans movement does not believe that. Well, no, they don't. They're warped in their minds. See Charlie called sexual perversion what it is, whether it was the LGBT movement, pedophilia, pornography, everything, every form of sexual perversion, Charlie exposed it. He called it what it was.

46:12Now those people participating in that kind of stuff, well, yeah, they're victims of it. They probably have that. But if they perpetuate it, they become false teachers. They become evil doers. And Charlie said, we need strong men and strong women in America. He also said, and listen to this. Now I get tired of hearing Democrat, Republican, Democrat, Socialist, Communist, you know, Marxist. Yeah, it kind of gets old. But Charlie once said, what the Democrats are doing is a deliberate plan of destruction against the United States of America. Now, that's what we have called the deep state. And yes, it is very true. So what does Charlie do? He calls them out. He exposes the enemy. He says, this is what they are doing. That's why I will not call the Democrats a political party. They are not.

47:12They are an enemy faction who happened to live on this land. They are a domestic enemy. And what did our founding fathers say to do with the domestic enemy? I wish we'd listen. Well, they possibly said in Ephesians 5 verse 11, he says, exposing. As he said, have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. And Charlie did that. Expose them and then intercede for the sake of righteousness and goodness in loving your neighbor as yourself. And then Charlie talked many times about family issues. And kids rebel against parents many, many times. And Charlie was questioned about this one time. And he said, even if your parents share values and views and worldview that you do not have,

48:12he says, you are biblically obligated to honor them, to honor your parents, which means to spend time with them. He said, and go visit them. He was talking about the fifth commandment, honor your father and your mother, because strong families make a strong nation. And that's why it's so important to work at your marriage. Some of you listening to this might have a failing marriage right now. Or you're fed up, you're disgusted, you say, I quit. I'm out of here. Or you're thinking about having an affair or just running away, say, I'm done. We're going to divorce. Well, I would strongly encourage you to get over it and make it work. Rethink it. Dare to have some open heart, heart discussions and be sensitive. Love your wife as Christ loved the church and give them so for it. It will change your entire view. Be unpredictable in a way that your spouse wouldn't anticipate.

49:15Be unpredictable in a good way. Surprises are with good things and it's like, whoa, that could change everything. And I saw that in my medical practice, happened all the time. But see, Charlie Kirk always, always in a big way, challenged the unholy narrative that is collapsing our country right now. And he challenged every one of us to do likewise. In his own words, he said, you are commanded to go do something productive with your life, to go give and to produce and to risk and to go so into other people. In other words, so good seed so that others may benefit. He says that is a biblical idea that has made the world a profoundly better place. And Christianity has done that. Christianity has changed the world for good, had made such an impact like no other world

50:19religion because it is the one true religion with the one true God. I would encourage you if you are struggling to do what is right in any part of your life. And let me tell you, I'm there with you plenty of times. I'm looking in my mirror. Look into the mirror and ask yourself, have I lived my life or am I now living my life in such a way that the world is a better place because I mean it. Is my family better or rephrased am I living according to God's purpose? Because nothing scares me more than the thought of wasting my life on worldly pursuits, whatever they may be, that have no redemptive value literally for eternity. How much time every day do we spend on selfish pursuits that will mean nothing in the big

51:21scheme of life? What are you doing all day long? Streaming the internet, reading romance novels, making puzzles, I do that sometimes because it gives me thinking time, rebuilding old cars, what is your thing that waste your life? It's something that I challenge myself with. What difference is it going to make in the big scheme of life in eternal life? Maybe unless we have the mind of Christ, we will waste our lives. By not giving back to God in thanksgiving for the gift of life that He has given to us. It requires though setting priorities. We got to confront ourselves and say, all right, am I my own enemy? And Charlie set his priorities, which is putting the first things first.

52:24And he came out and said it. He said, what is the first thing when he was asked as he said, the first thing is winning souls for Jesus Christ because you can't do that unless you are walking with God and no God's word, at least to some extent. He said, that's the most important thing. And then when he was asked, well, what's the second thing? Well, he answered to make sure to make sure that you can do the first thing. Now think about that. That was a profound statement. He was referring to the preserving of a free society where the gospel of Jesus Christ can be openly preached. And that, I believe, is why Charlie was politically active. That was his chief purpose in defending the Constitution so he could defend the Bible. And he admitted, there is a crisis of courage in us.

53:26And he defined courage as doing the right thing or the good thing when the outcome is uncertain. Would you do it anyways even if you're going to suffer? A lot of people would say, no, that's where I draw the line before that happens. But that is exactly called living by faith, doing the right thing when you might even have a bad outcome. That's a test of character. Yes, that takes courage. Yes, that is risky, but it's the only way to live life without regrets. Charlie once said, if they're not making fun of you, you're not making a difference. That's a good paraphrase of scripture. Yes, an all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. Well, I have no doubt that Charlie also would have said, you know what, if they kill you, it's because you have made a profound difference.

54:29I think Charlie would have said that. Or maybe just even a little difference. But the question is, did you make a difference? And if you can say, yes, I've made a difference and I've suffered for it, well, blessed are you. That's what the Bible says. See, this is the legacy of Charlie Kirk. He, Charlie was a genuine Christian. He was a doer of the word and he was not deceived. Regimes chapter 1 verse 22, but be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves. Charlie was a courageous martyr. He was worthy. He is worthy of honor and remembrance. Charlie's good work is complete. He has fought the good fight and he has finished his race. But the work of the gospel must go on. To make disciples, we have to know God by knowing his word and then by following in the

55:34steps of Jesus Christ as every true Christian does. Is your life going to matter? Well, I hope so. And certainly it will, if you put Christ first, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and everything else will fall into place. May not be an easy life, but it will fall into place. First things first, God, family, country. And yes, moral, absolute count. Those are the universal laws of God. We must live by them if we ever hope to really live.
