Fellas, football, officially returned last night. The crew is all back together. It feels like everything in the universe is balanced once again. Well, and we found out officially last night the bonix is better than Drake made. Drake made once again on a big stage and once again can't do anything.

2:06In fact, the only thing he did was literally throw the game away for the Patriots. Yes. A backup quarterback. Yeah, that was really ugly. And honestly now we're so far removed from the last time Drake may look good that I forgot what it even looked like. Like he, I'm told he was really good during the regular season last year. I can't remember. Well, and a reason he can't remember is Ryan, those games were at 11 a.m. Denver time, 1 p.m. East Coast time because the games that he did good in were all against bad teams. They were all throw away games. There were all games that every quarterback that's drafted in the first round should win. He is 0 and 12 against teams with winning records. Think about that. I mean, I don't think that's true. You don't think so? I think that was, I mean, certainly beat teams in the playoffs with winning records. Maybe it was last year. Yeah, yeah, that's maybe a regular season. Okay. I don't know if that's correct. He could win in the playoffs.

3:06But he has definitely struggled against good teams. And he had very favorable matchups last year, but he also did get one win over the bills in the regular season last year. Okay. Well, then that was wrong. So, what I will say is whatever that was last night did not look like, it actually, it looked just like what we saw for a drink, May and the playoffs, which was very like, I guess the word I would use this panicky. All three of those interceptions were really bad throws. It's complete panic, not in a rhythm at all. I thought he had one play where I was like, okay, I remember this a little bit from last year where he escaped the pocket. He had a nice little flick to Romeo dobs coming across the middle and Romeo dropped it. Speaking of, I mean, that's a whole lot of money for that guy who anytime the ball went his way, it was basically a disaster for the Patriots. And then AJ Brown gets hurt.

4:07It was an out and out disaster for the Patriots last night. Yep. Like the Romeo dobs, Mac Hollins thing. It's like, how is Romeo dobs getting three times what Mac Hollins gets? When Mac Hollins has just been for a decade now, just like a good saw, reliable, reliable, plays good special teams, makes big blocks, and he's just sitting out there every year for somebody who wants him. Yeah, Drake May is broken. Something happened before the playoffs that I don't know. Like he has no confidence. He looks just scared. He is forcing throws that have no business being made, which is crazy. I mean, one of the most efficient passing seasons we've seen from a quarterback last year. I mean, since 2020, the best pass rating in one season in the NFL was Lamar Jackson in 2024. He had a one 19 Drake made one 13.5 last year. Like the the led the NFL in completion percentage 72%.

5:07That's a mark that's been hit by Jared Goff and Tua in that time. Like ridiculously, ridiculously efficient throughout the entire season and doing that while throwing for 260 yards per game too. So it's like high volume stuff as well. But it just something changed the start of the playoffs because it's, it's awful right now. Well, it's awful. Well, my first that was wrong about that. What changed? Nothing changed with Drake. What changed was the team? He was going up against the playoffs. He played four good teams. Then last night he played a good team as well. By the way, Mike McDonald and the Seahawks are 25 and four or no 24 and five in their last 29 games under Mike McDonald and they've only lost one of those games by more than four points. So there are the Seahawks are a very good team. As you saw, lose your starting quarterback on the first drive and you still are able to beat a team that was in the Super Bowl last year. But here are the teams that Drake may beat last year, the dolphins, the panthers, the saints,

6:08the Titans, the Browns, the Falcons, the Bucks, the Jets, the Bengals, the Giants, the Ravens, the Jets, the dolphins and the Bills. The Bills are the only team with a winning record that they beat last year, I believe. No pitchers. No pitchers. No, they lost a pitch bread actually. Panthers. Ninety seven or nine or eight. You're right. Okay. Sorry. Panthers. Pursuit 9 point though. I mean, they were nine and eight. Yeah, yeah. Two teams right there. And so then Drake made. And they stacked up four wins against the Jets and dolphins. Yes, exactly. And the Giants were bad last year. The Bengals were bad last year. The Bucks were eight and nine. They were disappointing for what they were last year. The Falcons. Well, well, well. Browns, terrible, Titans, terrible. I mean, so many teams there. And then so what happens when Drake may has to play good teams in the past five games that he's played for in the playoffs and one last night, guys, he has eight total touchdowns 11 turnovers, 24 sacks in his averaging 15.4 points per game.

7:10So when he has to play good teams, that's the type of quarterback that shows up. Yeah. But how about Drew Locke? 16 of 22, 187 in a touchdown. Incredibly like efficient and just safe with the football. His post game interview. So mature. It's just great to see him all grown up. Yeah. And playing more grown up. Like just making check down passes, like hitting hitting the short things that he didn't make. Like it wasn't perfect. He's taken some bad sacks and there were some misthrows in there as well. And at least one bad decision. But there has been growth. And that's why assuming Sam Darnold's out for called a month or whatever. I think he's out one more week. And then he's one is what they think. Yeah. MRI I thought today did already have that. Yeah. Yeah. So the Drew Locke Seahawks or something I'm going to be taking every week. Just because I think they're going to get knocked down too much when that's not a team that relies on the quarterback as much as most. That's true. I'm excited to watch this.

8:11Obviously, all the Drake May stuff, Drake and you know, Patriots fans, Broncos fans have been arguing over who's better between him and Bo Nick's. And it's a good segue into our Bo Nick's conversation because. Wait, can I just get more on to Drake May? Just put just put more to that. Yeah. And this kind of translates to Bo. New England's last 22 opponents, 11 of them fired their head coach and 12 of them played with a backup or a quarterback that was benched or a quarterback that had benched and then they were playing a backup. Only five of the past 22 games were not affected. And that way it all just shows you again, how bad they were. Every Drake may pass and this is kind of getting to Bo. Every Drake may pass that was over 15 yards last night was picked off. People talk about Bo like he is a. Check out merchant. Yeah, not even that screen merchant like like even worse than that. Well, here's Drake May last night and I hope everyone can remember this when they start picking on Bo like this because Bo got this against him in his career and man, people have

9:14just taken off and run with it. Drake May on throws three or 10 yards downfield, 10 yards downfield, three of nine, three interceptions. But he was seven of eight behind the line of scrimmage. And if you look at Bo's chart, he is incredibly efficient throwing down the field. And I expect that to only continue to go up this year as well. So I mean, if you want to point to that for Bo, make sure you're doing it for other quarterbacks too. Well, and the Patriots best play last night was Seahawks Hall drop into his own or man coverage in Ramondri Stevenson is left uncovered in the backfield. It worked. It actually worked way too many times. But regardless, a complete narrative shift around Drake May from a year ago to right now. Okay, let's talk about Bo because we've had two quotes come out over the last two days from his teammates that honestly sound different than I've ever heard anyone talk about Bo.

10:14And so I want to hear, let's start with Cortland Sutton who got very metaphorical with his description of Bo. He's like that. Like a mountain lion that's in the zoo is just like pacing. I saw a mountain lion in Colorado zoo. He was just pacing back and forth. And I was like, I don't want that way to get out. It's not going to be good. But that's what Bo remind me of. He just like mentally, you can tell that he's just like, I'm ready to look at this. I'm excited. I'm. Oh no, there was a little bit more. There's a little bit more for that. I could just tell you. I mean, it's just one more line. But he goes, he was asked about Bo about seeing Bo. And he said, I'm excited, but I'm nervous for everyone else. And it just gets back to that letting the lion out of the cage, the pacing lion letting him out. Yeah, obviously the way that last season ended just has to be tearing away at Boenix.

11:16At least had to have been for months, not being able to be out there with his guys in that game. And I think it's a perfect metaphor for him. It also makes me kind of sad. I was sad when I'm at the zoo and I see the animals pacing. But yeah, pacing is bad. I mean, he's going to be so ready. I just hope he's not too hyped up. I think that maybe, you know, Hank had a good point before the show. Like, maybe seeing Drake made just like lose his mind out there reminds Boenix. Like, all right, I just got to calm down and just go play this game. But he's kind of wired to play with a motion. And sometimes that can be great. Sometimes he can get a little bit, you know, over his skis. So I hope that he finds a way to just like find some zen before the game. Maybe, you know, no caffeine after two o'clock as he gets ready for this one. But I just can't wait to see him go out there because people, I think people forget. He's so fun to watch. Play football. And I think he's going to be on a whole other level this season.

12:18Yep. Just need a calm and steady and confident and just run the plays. They call the play the run the play. There's no need for hero ball because hero ball is what gets Bo into trouble. I am not quite sure that's going to be the case guys. I think the biggest thing that Bo has in his corner entering this game, being all hyped up and going into a rockest environment, which Arrowhead is going to be getting Patrick Maholmes back for the first game, is Davis Web and Sean Payton. I think they are going to make it where he's able to settle in. And maybe a big way. Maybe it is a bomb to start the game to Jalen Wattle. Maybe it's a screen pass. Maybe it's three straight run plays, but I think that those two together are going to put Bo in a good spot. And I think it's fair to point to Bo being a little overhype going into this game. I think that's last year we going. I think these two guys are going to do a really good job of getting him in the right head space. I think so too. And I think that the, you know, going into year three, I think that Sean Payton and Davis

13:21Web have a really good understanding of what Bo nix is. And I think that, you know, having the understanding of that, you know, last season he came out a little overhyped and was just moving a little bit maybe faster with his body than his brain was willing to follow. They'll be very smart about how they get him into this game. But I also, I want to see like Bo nix rushing touchdown, like hand to the crowd running through the in zone in arrowhead. Like I want that part of him too. So you can't, you have to strike a balance. Well, Ryan, that's where I was going to go. By the way, what is this doing in front of me? Well, then Henry, can you take the C1? Can you take the C1 out of the hair as well? If we're taking the CSU Rams one off, we've got to take the C1 off as well. That's fine. So, but I was going to go to that running as well because there's a quote from Bo and I don't remember when it was during his playing time with the Broncos. So I don't know if it was this past year or a year ago, but he said when he really feels like he's in a game when the game has started is when he's hit for the first time after

14:24a run. And now there's, so do you want to make Bo feel like he's in the game? Absolutely. But then there's the counterpoint of like, this is first game back with his ankle. A lot of fans nervous about seeing him run and seeing him get hit. How would you guys feel about an early Bo-Nix run like first or second play? I mean, it's tough. I get it's just how do you get him to be calm? The one thing you want is just calm and steady and not jittery and I'm not sure if having him run early gets the juices flowing a little bit too much or if that's what settles him down. Like I could really see it going either way. I think like would a quick pass make more sense, which you just want to throw a slant or do you worry that again, like if you do have those jitters that that would be the exact kind of throw that you would worry about. So I don't know. I've gone back and forth with how you get him to just be calm and methodical and not frantic. But maybe you do try a read option.

15:26It just could that just kick it up another level. Yeah, I'd say the read option until you get down to the red zone because it's going to work. Yeah, I have no issue running ball on the very first play or second play or early because if especially since he says that's what makes him feel like he's in the game, I feel like when he says he's in the game, that means he's comfortable and he is settled down. And I want the Broncos to be aggressive. So I actually personally push back against the like let him settle down do some easy stuff for him first. I would love for him to be aggressive, especially because you look at the secondary so inexperienced and so young go after him. I told you I'm sure throw the ball down the field. But set your feet. Don't don't don't be running around back there. Don't be throwing it before they're up. You know, it just let the game come to you. I'll tell you what man, his feet have been so much better in training camp and the little glimpse we got in the preseason as well that that is a very encouraging sign. Yeah, I'm excited. I think that he's going to have some big opportunities.

16:27Now, I'm starting to think maybe like a big play action pass early in the game and then maybe just like a lane opens up and he takes off running kind of like he did at the end of the Texans game. And like that's the run that kind of gets him settled down and seeing the field and get everything going. But I can't wait to see what's going to happen. You know, I think out here, there's different animals that you go encounter. I hear a lot of times as mountain lions, bears, you don't want to come across. So I guess that's a good comparison. You know, one that I'll take. And I definitely think the thing about mountain lions is usually when you notice them, it's good thing they don't just do a long time ago, but I'm just excited to get out there. I am, you know, for like I'm pacing. I feel like I've been in this practice schedule for a long time.

21:35I'm excited to get out there and go play another team. I'm really exciting and I know our guys are going to respond well. I feel like I got a great group with me. I'm going in your wit. So I think he's excited. Yeah, he is ready to go and he even used the word pacing. I feel like I've been pacing out here. And yeah, you can tell that he is fired up ready to go. Absolutely. And mountain lion is a good mind frame for him to take on because mountain lions, you know, they slowly stock their prey and then they pounce instead of like something, I don't know, it's running around all wild. Well, isn't that kind of what he did all of last year though? He slowly stocked his prey. He took a long time to finally get there. And then in the fourth quarter, he finally pounced. I think I want to see him be unleashed a little bit earlier, like right when he sees his prey going jump on it. And I think that's what Sean and Davis want. They want more fast start there. Okay. I like the mountain lion. It's nice and controlled in no panic, no franticness.

22:40It's never, never scared. So my best experience, well, maybe not best experience with the mountain lion. We were watching a movie and it was dark out. My dog was tied up. It's a way of like the patio and the deck has the beams that come down. It was tied to that, to the beam. And I heard the dog bark. And it's like, well, what could that be about? So I go and open the sliding glass door. I just hear like the mountain lion just screams, which is this crazy sound. And it's dark so you don't know where it is. And I had to run out there and grab the dog, not knowing where the mountain lion is. But that's what a mountain lion is. It's like just, you don't really know where it is. You just know that it wants trouble and it will eat anything that's, yeah. Mountains are scary. I hope those are mountain lion. But there's never been a Denver sports athlete who had the nickname, the mountain lion. Kougers probably a better word. No, because that's been re-perfect. That is true. That's been taken. Yeah, mountain lion is just too long.

23:42It's just so long, yeah. Well, you definitely can't use it for bow, who has a one name name. That's two letters. We can't. No. He doesn't really need a nickname. Shortest name in NFL history. Yep. Same way that like Tom doesn't need a nickname. Right. And one Tom did get a nickname. Which one? TP12. That's not really a nickname. We have a Valakase football who says, bolex yoked this year. Ryan, that's a comment you made too. I, yeah, pointed out the same thing. I think, I mean, he probably had a lot of time to work on his upper body when he was rehabbing his ankle. That's very true. Also Val likes football. I can't really see that for me. Yeah. Or Valakase. All right. We have one more quote we want to get to here. It's Pat Sartan talking about bow and just kind of echoing the sentiment that court had. He's like even better than before, even more sharper. His mindset is, you know, he's, he's ready to like show the world what he's about. Not that he already did in years past, but you know, he's just ready to make a statement.

24:48He's ready to make a statement. And it goes back. He actually said that before courtland's thing. And so then courtland said it the next day and these guys are just getting this sense from bow from being around him every day in practice from going up against him every day in practice as Pat Sartan does. And to me guys, this is exciting. And I kind of want to talk about like, what do you guys think this first game could look like because there's no better way to make a statement than on Monday night football when everyone's watching in arrowhead against Patrick Mahomes. All the attention and I'm sorry for Broncos fans. When you turn on the game on Monday night, it's going to be all about Patrick Mahomes and his comeback and they'll mention how bow got hurt and how the Broncos, you know, were in the AFC championship game, but it's going to be all Mahomes and it's going to be annoying his heck. And that's just why he could make such a big statement. All the attentions on Mahomes early in the game. And then by the end of the first quarter, bow has a hundred yards and a touchdown.

25:50And Broncos are up 10, zero, then he'll steal the attention and run away with it from the rest of the game. And then that's what people are talking about on Tuesday morning as well as how Mahomes did too. But I mean, he has an opportunity to make a big statement this week. It's just like today when everybody in the world is just saying, Drake, my sucks. Yes. Like, that's what happens with a national TV game. Whatever happens the next day is just everybody talks about. That will be the same thing that's on the table Tuesday. Yeah. If I'm predicting the headlines, you know how the run down on the side, the first one will say is the chief's dynasty dead. And the next one will say like, bow MVP question mark. Those will be the top two. Unfortunately, they still will start with the chiefs. What's on me up for that? Yeah. I'll take that too. That's what's going to happen. So then what what what is that game look like from bow for that to happen? Like semi realistically. Yeah, I think it's somewhere between two 75 and three 25 and somewhere between two and

26:51three touchdowns and an efficient completion. Just efficient. If you go out there and you're just efficient, get nice easy win, then you're good. Man, that would do it for sure. And then because if that's also the case, JK's probably running the ball fairly well, at least in your putting up 24 28 30 points, depending if you go for three 25 and three touchdowns, you're probably in a 30 point category right there. And man, that is just. I wonder if I can find what he's predicted for keep going. Sorry. I mean, that just that also puts Davis Web. That's probably that maybe the third bullet point, like who's hiring Davis Web after this season. And then fourth bullet point, who's calling plays for the Broncos next year when Davis Web is gone. I mean, it would just be that's exactly what we want to see on Tuesday morning. Shout out to draft Kings for already having the player props up. We've got Bonaix at over under 232 or over under 231 and a half. And two touchdowns is plus one 31.

27:52So really like one and a half touchdowns. I'm taking the over on both. So then he'd have to get three touchdowns for you to actually get that one and a half. Oh, it's one and a half. Two plus is plus one 31. Gotcha. Yeah. I like that a lot. I'm definitely taking the over on the yards. Chiefs run defense is better than their past defense at least entering this year. So I do think the Broncos are really going to try to establish the ground game, especially with JK healthy, especially in a lot of environment, especially with Bonaix being his first game back with all the jitters. But I think that eventually the Broncos will say, you know, what's working better is the past game. Plus we want to we want to show off Jalen Waddle. So I would take the over on that. Yeah, it's interesting. So Coralunds on average more yards per game than Jalen Waddle last year. 59.8 versus 56.9. But it's Jalen Waddle who said it's 60 plus and Coralund who said it 50 plus. I think there might be a value on Coralund. Yeah, I think there's value on both. I mean, I think I think Jalen is going to hit that. I think it's just been so eye opening because Jalen got hurt in training camp a couple of

28:54practices in. And before he got hurt, now Coralund wasn't on the field. So it's not a fair comparison. But I mean, Bo was looking Jalen's way half the time and going to him half the time. And it was just like, man, this chemistry, like we haven't talked about, oh, how long will this chemistry between Bo and Jalen take because they've been often training camp or they've been off in the preseason? No, it's been really, really good. And so I think that he's going to eat, especially game one. Yeah, just, I mean, just looking through. So last year, two touchdowns in six of 17 games, two 32 and eight of 17. So about half. So I think I really like the yards. The touchdowns seem a little bit risky. I guess it is plus money. Yeah. Right. It's like plus one 30. So yeah, that's good. If I know anything about Sean Payton, which Benny thinks I know a lot, I think that he's going to want to have a bonic showcase game here. You know, obviously Davis, what I was calling the plays, but I think that they're going

29:54to be on the same page of like our boys ready. Let's show the world what he's got. Yeah. Also, it's good for Davis. What? That'd be fun. Of course. Yeah, it'd be a departure from the past, whatever, 11 years of game plans against the Chiefs, where you're trying to establish the run. You keep the ball in the home's hands, but it might be time to change that. Well, also, I think on the flip side, I think the Chiefs are going to try to have a different game plan than they've had for since my homes has been here. I think they're really going to try to establish the run. And that's why they overpaid for Kenneth Walker. And maybe last night, make Kenneth Walker look a little better as well. But I think that they're going to try to establish the run. So maybe you can kind of not throw out keeping the ball away from Patrick, my homes, but you don't have to worry about it as much because they're not going to be relying on him as much as they have in the past. The Chiefs are trying to shorten the game, which is interesting. So the effect would be similar. Yeah, I think they're just, they're trying to take all some of the pressure off of my homes

30:59because the past couple of years, especially since Tyree's been gone, it's been all of the pressure on my homes. Yeah. So maybe it is an under's game. I don't know. It's kind of interesting. Well, see you over under. Figure it out. So over, guess. I would say the over under is 41 and a half. I'd go 44 and a half. Both close. Hank a little closer, but he went over 43 and a half. Okay. Yeah. 24 20. I guess 24 21 is what they're saying because they also got cheese. Is it three right now or three and a half? It's two and a half. Ah, he's getting closer to the round goes. To the cheese, which is absolutely shocking to me. But I'll take it because yeah, I mean, I love it is what's the plus? You can get plus one 10 or something plus one. Oh, minus 118 on chiefs minus two and a half. What is Broncos money line though? Plus 124 plus 124. I love that.

31:59But it's it's my homes and people are just so afraid to bet against my homes and that's why the line is set there. Totally. It's interesting to say the least. I love it. So after we did the exercise yesterday, yes, we gave quarterback to the chiefs, but the only other position that the chiefs won was tight end. Everything else went to Broncos. DnVR Broncos podcast and we have one more quote about Bo-Nix that we want to share. And this one is from an old friend. Bo-Nix, I played him. I was in Buffalo and I did a spin move and he shot out of there and he was asking me, like, is he really that fast? I was like, hey, like it feels like Lamar Jackson. Of course, Lamar Jackson is totally different player, but the way he got out of there is acceleration and how fast he was. Like it felt like I was playing against Lamar Jackson. Like he has that speed and that quickness. Are we talking about a hundred yard dash or anything like that? No, that's different, but how you can go from point A to point B in the 10 yard span. He's incredible. The way he plays the game mentally is, well, he's not scared.

37:08There's a lot of quarterbacks out there that possess all of those traits. They can throw the ball. They know where to put the ball. But when the game goes on and it gets tight and you're in those tough situations, they kind of clam up. Bo-Nix has none of that. He's one of the guys. I've always admired that out of Bo-Nix. Okay. Wow. My goodness. I think this is the most underrated part of Bo and I think it goes back to something that Sean fell in love with in the pre-draft process. It's not just the idea of athleticism. It's the ability to use athleticism to avoid sex. You mentioned, well, what was the last five games, Drake May has been sack 24 times. That's like a Bo's whole career. Yeah, for real. He's so good at using that skill and that short area quickness to get away from defenders. It's so underrated because a sack is, might as well be half a turnover.

38:13It's so hard to overcome a sack and move the chains. Yeah. It's awesome. I think in those past five games Bo or Drake May has averaged like 250 yards. That's rushing and passing. You take away the sack yards. He's averaging like 170 yards per game. Wow. It's like 80 yards per game in sacks or something crazy like that. Maybe it's close to 60, but I mean, it is. And we saw it in the game last night. The interception that he threw and one thing that I noticed early in the game with Drake is instead of stepping up in the pocket, he steps back and tries to escape around. I know who also did that. Russell Wilson also tried to do that. And that drove Sean Peyton absolutely crazy. That's what he did on that final throw. He stepped back and tried to escape to the outside, but the right tackle couldn't hold on to his guy. And it was right in his face. So he just threw the ball for an interception. Bo doesn't do that. And that just saves you so many yards, so many turnovers. And man, if you ever need a hype man, make sure to give on Miller on your side because

39:13holy cow anytime you want a great quote. I mean, feels like Lamar Jackson that you're playing against pretty wild, pretty wild. And then remember, Bo was also a blame for tearing Michael Parsons ACL because of his elucidness because Michael Parsons was going too hard to get after Bo because he was so difficult to sack that that according to Ryan Clark or something, that's why Michael Parsons tore his ACL. So I mean, it's, it's a couple of different past rushes that are put in a lot of respect on how difficult it is to get the ball. Absolutely. All right, let's get to these captains. Broncos announced their captains yesterday who we got. We got nine of them. And it's the eight from last year plus an additional one. Henry, I know you know the captains, right? Do you know the captains? No. Okay, so I'll tell you the eight from last year and then you tell me the new addition this year. So you got Bo, you got court, you got Quinn on the offensive side of the ball, defensive side. You got DJ Jones, you got Alex Singleton, you got Patsritan, you got Talon O Hufunga

40:15and Will Lutz. Okay. So all those guys are returning. No one got cut from last year. Who is this new night? Bo Court Quinn. Yep, on offense. The ninth captain. You think an offense? Yes. Am I wrong? Do you want me to tell you? Yeah. Yeah, you're wrong. Crossure? No. Okay, I thought I was a true question. Yeah. Maybe, maybe you're closer than you think though. Mitchell for bro. No, he's not on the active roster, is he? No. I don't know. Who is it? Devon Key. Special team. So you're on the right side of the ball there. And I mean, all pro Devon Key from last year, he got that nod from the Broncos yesterday and he said even he was surprised about it. That's really cool. Shout out to him. And that leads us, well, anyone, any snubs, anything that you feel like all this guy should

41:17have been a captain. I mean, we talked about JK as a guy who could have been a captain. Like Zach Allen, you would think at some point, but that's just not really his personality when DJ was a captain last year. Yeah. There wasn't, it wasn't going to happen. Yeah, I think it's just because you're running it back and adding one guy, I've got, I've got no issues with snubs. Now, what everyone did say, nine is too many for me. Nine is too many. Yeah. I mean, that's kind of, especially after the Rams had 11 and then they're going to add miles Garrett to be a 12th. Like that's kind of been a national talking. Yeah, I'm sorry. Yeah, I'm sorry. That's going to, that's been a talking point. Nine's a lot. No, the Broncos also, there could be 15 to 20 guys that are captains because of just how player led this team is. So I'm glad they didn't do that. But yeah, I mean, that's a big graphic right there of captains. That is. So who has there is court the only one who has his starfield? I would think so. Will lots maybe? No. Do they carry over from other teams? That's a good question. I would guess yes. This would be Will. Let's just fourth year on the team though.

42:21But I think it's five because there's four stars. And then the final C. So I think it's just court. He has three straight. Okay. He was a captain with the Eagles too, without only before. I don't think that carries over for this. Maybe it does. I think it does. Well, I almost remember there being like a debate about Tom Brady when he went to the box. I want to say that people are saying like it's not supposed to carry over, but then they let him have the gold captain thing. If I can, that's the least I can get. I don't think it should carry over because you're gaining respect from a whole new group of guys. But to me, it's more about the league, like what you've done in the league. Captancy isn't about the league. Captancy is about your team, but this specific part of it, I think, is about the league. I don't really care. But so we also found out this is also isn't a surprise, but over the last at least year

43:23or so. So Sean doesn't do a leadership council. Sometimes teams have a leadership council that separate from captain. Sometimes the captains are a leadership council. And what the leadership council is is it's the group of guys that meets with the head coach every couple of weeks. If the coach has questions, if the players have questions, Sean doesn't do that. So essentially who fills in for that is Bo. If there's ever a problem with the team that they have with the coach or that an issue that they need to bring up or something needs to be where to Sean, it's Bo that goes up to Sean. And man, him doing that in just his second year in the NFL, it shows just how special of a leader he is because Sean also said, you know who my guy was for that? It was Drew. It was Drew when I was there. And Drew got there with Sean when he was already a vet five years in the league. So of course he's going to take that role. But the fact that Bo's already doing it in his second year, man, I just think it shows that he can be the type of guy that we've talked about and that we've forecasted him to be. And I think it also has to do with the relationship that Sean and Bo have.

44:25And I think that Sean gives off an air about him that like he can't be challenged. But I think he respects the fact that Bo was willing to challenge him. And that in and of itself gives the players kind of like a bridge to Sean to go to a bow and be like, hey, can you bro, can you tell him that like nobody likes this or whatever or hey, we hate when this happens. And you know, who's an example of a player like maybe Brandon Jones doesn't know how Sean would react if he brings it to him. But Bo, being the guy who's, you know, gotten a giant match with Sean before and lived to see the other side, they know that he can bring that to him. Who's a who's a really good safety that played for the Saints? On Bell. No, can you can you name a few? Sean just used this player as an example.

45:26Oh, I don't think so. Oh, we did interview. Maybe we did. But anyways, a big name safety. Sean said, you know, with Drew, I always knew when Drew came to me if it was because something Drew had or if because he was sent by this safety. Yeah, this was later because they had Malcolm Jenkins for a year. Yeah. It might have been Darren Sharper. I just didn't want to. Roman Harper. Roman Harper. Roman Harper. I think that's who it was. Thank you. Okay. He was great. Yeah. I always tell when Drew had something or when Drew was sent by Roman Harper. And so it's kind of that similar thing like of he represents the team. Yeah. I think that's great. All right. We talked about this last year. We actually did a whole bracket to nominate or give away the title of Mr. Bronco. And at the time, we kind of decided like it's not time yet.

46:28No one has earned it. Well, the Broncos went to the AFC championship game last year. And I think that the feelings around certain players have changed a lot. So I want to ask you guys, has someone over the last year earned the title, Mr. Bronco? I think so, but I have a couple of questions for you guys. Should it be a captain? Yes. Okay. Has to be a captain. Okay. Has to be. Okay. That's stronger. I mean, when you have nine, I think yes. So. We have a lot of people who are going to be able to get the title of captain. So we and everyone watching can look because these are kind of who it comes down to. So it's Bo, it's Hufenga, it's past her tan. DJ Jones will let's devon key. And then on offense, you've got Cortan Sutton and Quinn to go along with Bo. To me. And let me just quickly say, I think Nick Benito could be nominated for this despite not having a captain. See, I think Garrett Bulls could be nominated for this. Despite not having a captain. Zach Allen.

47:28Zach Allen could be nominated. So maybe you don't have to be a captain, but I think Jay Mac even it does. Jay Mac, it does play a role in. I agree. And that's how I viewed it too. And also ground rules for this. It can't be your quarterback. We've talked about that. It has to be someone other than that. The quarterback just has too much already. Yeah. It's just always love. To take you guys back to the conversation last year, it's a play on our Nugget show. Being Mr. Nugget who was Gary Harris and then it went to Montaimoris and then it went to Aaron Gordon. So, you know, a good player who kind of represents what it means to play for the team. It's Singleton. I think it's pretty easily Singleton also. Okay. I use a captain of the defense. He does. He's not loved enough by the fans. You think that's part of it? Yeah. I think it's one of the main parts. He fricking had cancer and played through it and only missed one game.

48:29Like, what else does this guy need to do to get you on his side? We're seeing it in the comment section. Some people are like a little afraid to say it, but Singleton would get my vote. People aren't ready for it, but it's Alex Singleton. It is Alex Singleton. If the fans would be for it, it should be Alex Singleton. He's loved by the coaches. He's loved by the players. You know, so much to be a captain for three straight years. Sean Payton loves him. But you're right, Ryan. Maybe it does have too much of a fan pushback where it couldn't be him, but it absolutely should be. If it's not Singleton, I've got one more guy that I think it is among this group and it's courtland. That's who I was going to say it would be for me because of if it weren't for the fans weird relationship with Alex, I would say him. But I think that that plays a role in it. And even though I think that people are wrong about it, I do think that courtland's that I believe Longest Tenured Bronco. Tied with Bulls. Bulls was what was earlier.

49:32So almost the longest tenured Bronco. A guy who, for the most part, has had a strong relationship with the fans, has performed throughout his time, has really been like a bastion of bonics and just everything, you know, really had his back through all the ups and downs of the beginning of his career. But I still think that the crown is there for the taking. The only tough thing about court is it was two years ago that he missed an entire off season and that, that's kind of like a crucial part of that, however, what I'll say is man, he's turned it around in at least in that view. Remember last year, no, two years ago, that same year when he had zero cash, he was in the coaches and the Broncos blow out way and over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night football. And he got up there and he with a smile on his face just said, look what we just did. Why would I be upset about zero catches in this game when we just blew him out.

50:36Troy Franklin had a big game. He was so pumped for everyone. And then the next four games, he goes for like averages like 125 yards per game or something. It's like, man, damn, this guy is really all about the team. So I agree. I think he has kind of changed that. And especially now with the Broncos getting Jaylen Waddle, he could have been a little upset whether he showed that or it was coming out through private ways. We've seen none of that at all. So I think that I think it's him and Alex, man, that that are right up there. But Ryan, you're saying the crown still still up for grabs. I think the crown still up for grabs. I think that we got more time. I think that if someone takes the crown, it'll be obvious. It'll happen right in front of our faces. Like forcing a fumble that changes a game that sends you the AFC championship game. You think feels like I was right. My face. I feel like I've done we've done everything we can. Yeah. Alex, here's just I saw in the comments.

51:36Somebody said, yeah, we're just sick of seeing him burned up on wheel routes all the time. You think if he was burned on wheel routes all the time and couldn't cover that the Broncos would have resigned him not once, but twice to pretty good contracts with the same coaching staff. No, they wouldn't have. We don't have to do this. Every linebacker gets burned on wheel routes. Yeah. Alex said he was burned on one last year and it was in it was sake one. They're all good. I thought Jonathan Taylor got him to might have those two are he's he's he's taking one. Actually, I don't think so. I think I think that was a coverage one on the Cooper thing. I think it was the last minute thing or on the yeah, Jonathan Taylor one. He's too nice to go out and say it, but there's other things with the defense that haven't been working with that. Of course. All right, we have to take a break. We can talk a little bit more about this and more on the other side.

Maybe Alex will just get off to such a good start that everyone will lower their weapons. But what does that mean for him a couple of picks? I don't know. That is true. Like he's going to get like a pass off of Malcolm Roach's helmet that lands right in his hands and goes for six and everyone's be like, this is what we've been waiting for. Oh, right. I don't know, man. We'll see. Uh, last couple things that we wanted to hit today. Let me see here. Um, we wanted to talk about the health of the team.

57:45Yeah. Yeah. Coming out of the Broncos first practice getting ready for Monday nights game. Every Bronco was out there at practice yesterday, which just shows. I mean, and look, this was the Broncos have been remarkably healthy during Sean Payton's career and Sean Payton's taken victory labs, which he should for that couple of weeks ago. I mean, three weeks ago, we're talking about courts been out. Maybe that was injury. Maybe it was just rest J K went off due to an injury. According to Sean Payton, you had more than mims get hurt. Yeah, Jalen Waddle get hurt. You had Nick Benito get hurt. I mean, it was like not just a lot of guys getting hurt, but stars getting hurt. And it's like, oh, no, has Sean Payton's injury luck and bow bow Lowry's magic worn off. Is this going to be a hurt team? No. By the time the season comes around as healthy as you can be outside of, you know, Caleb Bloner on IR Frank Crumb on IR. Those guys, you hope that weren't really going to have much of a role with the team this year.

58:46I mean, this is as good as it can be. And I know you guys already touched on the chief's injury where they stand earlier this week with potentially being without their starting left tackle. The home's obviously probably isn't 100%. So this is as good of a place as a Broncos could be right now. Yeah. And they're going to use their starting right tackle to play left tackle, which means that they're down to their backup on both sides. Oh, man. That's kind of a mess. It's a big mess. I mean, that's all it's huge blessing. It's very, very rare to get through training camp without a big injury to an important player. And thank goodness. And we hope that the Broncos health stays this way. 100%. One more thing. Broncos announced their uniforms. They're going with the all white. How do you guys feel about the all white? It's a good one. I think it's a good one. I think white helmet, which is the part that I guess is most polarizing. Yeah.

59:47I, I, I don't like when they use the blue uniforms. Those are the ones that I get upset about because it's, it's an opportunity where you could have worn the throwbacks instead. So I feel like when you're on the road, that's when you should be getting creative and doing that sort of stuff. So I think that's fine. I'm not a big uniform guy. And it's, it's tough for me to get worked up over anything uniform wise. But how can anyone not love all white Broncos did it on Christmas last year against the Chiefs? It looked amazing. I love the white helmets. I think they're so fresh, especially paired with the all white like I think it would have been a mistake if the Broncos because we knew that they were wearing the white jerseys for this game. And it was announced yesterday that they're going with the white pants, white socks and white helmet as well. I think it would have been a mistake to do anything else with the white jersey. I agree. I think the all white I love monochrome uniforms. Yeah. Every time you can go, you know, like buffs last week wearing the all black head to toe, I think just looks so clean. And this even better, in my opinion, it's going to look super sick on Jalen Waddle.

1:00:50He's going to look so fast in that uniform. Bow even looks great in this uniform. I'm a big fan. Yeah. And I just, the only difference from this year and last year's Broncos aren't going to have the candy cane patch on them, which I know a lot of people hated. So this one will be even better than that. That really did piss me off. The only thing that I could have an issue with is just that they don't wear their throwback whites on the road. And obviously you can't do that with NFL rules. I mean, that's the only nitpicky thing. And that's not even something that they control. But that is something, man, we need to find out a way to get those white throwbacks, like the John L.A. white throwbacks into the rotation because this might be better than the orange. I know. They actually might be. I am fully on board with that. We've been pushing that for years. I think that the next time the Broncos get new jerseys, it'll finally be back to that. I hope so. Like the Walton Penner group got to make their jerseys and have them in the Broncos history.

1:01:52And then they can move on to like representing the past. I think so. Let's get to a super chat. And then if we have a little extra time on the end, we'll talk about the interesting travel decisions made by the 49ers and Rams before their game tonight. Super chat from Carter Callaway, sick name. Happy for the Seahawks. If Drew was the backup Broncos went in the AFC championship game and needed some mobility. I don't know about that. The mobility is a good point though. We saw that's how Drake was able to win the game for the Patriots against Broncos last year was that final boot. The mobility in those snow games. I don't think Drew Lock is anymore more open. I agree. I think Stitum is just as mobile. Huh. I would have thought he was, but I don't know. He's not below next. I mean, that's for sure right there. Yeah. But I mean, it just shows how good it is, how important it is to have a serviceable backup. Because if the Seahawks have to go with Drew Lock for eight games, it's probably going to be tough.

1:02:53But man, finish last night's game. And then if it really is, just get through one more game and he can do that clearly. He can do that totally. All right. So we've got see, oh, sorry, we've got another couple NFC West teams in action tonight. The Rams and the 49ers and they're playing in Australia, which is an insanely long flight. Yep. I am shocked that you have two teams doing the exact opposite things in terms of travel. The 49ers went a week ago. They will have been there for a week, I believe, by the time the game kicks off. And the Rams arrived yesterday morning. Yet, a Denver time yesterday night. Right. 24 hours before the game. Yep. Which if the Broncos were playing, which one would you prefer? I lean toward the 49ers. Yeah. I'm curious to see how it all plays out though.

1:03:53I mean, the week before means that you're totally acclimated to the time, but that also means the team bus leaves at 6.30 a.m. to go to the game because it's a 10 a.m. kickoff in Australia, which is not something that happens very often in the NFL. No, I mean, it's not like you're accustomed to two 30 games at this point because it's the first game of the year. Like if you're the 49ers, you say, yeah, we're practicing early in the morning, bump everything up for the week or two leading up to this and you can make it work out. The Rams is interesting. I mean, you get the fancy plane. Everybody can lay down and sleep and that's sound proofs. You can't even tell you're in a... All the everything you can think of so you should be able to get a full night sleep and you just don't adjust the time, which means you're waking up probably at like 3 a.m. or even earlier to get ready for the 10 a.m. kickoff, but your body is trained to think that's just normal time. I lean toward the 49ers. I think the Rams thing, it does make sense and they've sent a bunch of people over over

1:04:58the past couple of years to see and do all the testing and see how their body responds. So I think it makes sense, but all it takes is like, what if 90% of the guys sleep well on the flight, you still have that other 10% who struggled to sleep on the flight and won't be at their best. And so I think there is just that margin for error, whereas the 49ers, it just seems more stable. Couldn't agree more. The Rams are saying we're going to outsmart jet lag, which is a hell of a thing to say. But you know what? Sean McVeigh did this to a way lesser extent in London last year and it worked. I would trust Sean McVeigh over Kyle Shanahan with something like this. I'm hoping either of them are really in charge of the decision. Oh, well, I guess they make the final decision, but they're not like the information was just presented to them. They didn't do independent research. Correct. Yeah. But they would like, Sean was part of the group that's like sending people over there to see what's going on, which is crazy to think like multiple years in advance.
