When We Think Of Sacrifice As Something Hard
About this episode
When We Think of Sacrifice as Something Hard
When we are called to “offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God…” (1 Peter 2:5), what does this mean?
The immediate context suggests that our lives are like living stones—
each of us, in our own way, participating in something larger than ourselves.
And when we hear “sacrifice,” we often imagine something heavy or costly—
but Scripture points us somewhere else…
“To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)
That we treat each other right,
that we extend grace to one another,
and that we walk with humility and in faith.
