What is the halacha of wearing a Yamaka when you go swimming? So there are some post-gumus say that you should try and keep your keeper on at all times and only remove it when you're actually about to go underwater. Maybe that's a bit stricter than some of the common customers that I've seen. They also say to put on your Yamaka immediately after coming out of the pool. But the post-gumus say that wearing a Yamaka is not necessary when you're in the pool or you're in the shower or in the mick for things like that. Even there, there were some post-gum who are strict, but certainly the accepted custom is that we don't need to wear a Yamaka when we're in those places. And many post-gumus say in the custom that I've seen seems to be that when you're in what we would call the swimming pool area and when you're the way I've heard it is, and this makes a lot of sense to me, when you're in your bathing suit, when you're undressed. So if you're just wearing a bathing suit or even if it's a bathing suit and a t-shirt, but if you're wearing your bathing clothing, then really you're undressed. You're in the bathhouse, so to speak.

1:01And in that situation, you don't need to wear a Yamaka. So when you take off your clothing and you put on your bathing suit to go into the pool, even if you're not in the water, even if you're in the deck area or something like that, you don't need to, according to many post-gumus, it seems, wear a Yamaka.
