Hey, it's Robin Monachem-Sidersen, thanks for joining me on today's edition of What's A Jew To Do, where we explore relevant and concise Halacha. What about if you're not traveling, you're just sitting at home and you realize it's time to dive in. Let's say it's nine time and oops, I never didn't dive in Mar of yet and I want to dive in now, but there's no meeting at my house. Do I have to leave my house to travel to get to a million? So the Halacha is, if you're able to reach a million with less than 18 minutes of travel, then yes, you would need to go and find that a million, however, if the million would be more than 18 minutes away, if you need to travel with it, you would be examined from having to travel to get to that million. You're also never obligated to go to a million in a dangerous area. It's important to stress that we talk about 18 minutes, it means 18 minutes in a car. It's really about the effort of 18 minutes. It's not that it would actually take 18 minutes or not, because if you would walk, let's say, it would take you much, much, much longer, but that's not 18 minutes worth of effort because you could drive, so it would really only be 18 minutes, so that's how we measure it.
