So we got Justin Bo Trell, we got Captain Owl Flowers, we got Janette from Anglerette and you're going to tell us all about what you're doing at the show, right Janette? Yeah, cool. Well, Justin and Owl are super excited. Wait a minute, we move into the Pacific Coast Sport Fishing Festival tomorrow or excuse me on

1:03Wednesday and we're we I got about nine zillion things going on and Justin's got about two things going on. Owl's got nothing going on but you young lady have a ton of things going on. Go ahead, let us all know. We're getting ready. I started this quite a few years ago and we basically started it to get more growth out there at fishing because the more we go it grows out there and kids out there the more we're going to grow the sport and we need everybody to save everything out. We don't lose our waters so the more we can get into this industry the better the better it's grow so I started Anglerette hoping it would help out a little bit and it would have something for me to wear as well. I really started it for and now we're at the T.S. show I think it's my tenth year doing a show this year. Oh my god that's insane and you got

2:07so much cool clothing for the ladies. It's Kelly girl comment about it every year she's super excited. I can't let her go over there with my credit card anymore because oh my gosh cost me her more than I make at the show to be perfectly honest. What kind of new things you got going on this year at the show? I usually lack on getting the fresh water to that but this year I know the fresh water design for trout girls because girls love trout fishing a lot of girls don't go deep so she's fishing so I came out with a trout logo which I think is going to do pretty good I actually had quite a few people messing around with it so I had another order out to get more clothing made just because I was a little bit passionate on the order on how much I got so I'm going to do another one if we are going to go back to actual with the San Diego show so pretty good. Janette I think someone has recognized you right there. Hi. Hi. Can you hear us?

3:20No you can't know right? Absolutely we hear you just fine Chiara. This is my water Chiara so I figured you were taught out girls fishing the angorets. Happy birthday. Yeah it's a birthday there it is. Yeah happy birthday. Happy birthday. Thank you. Now do you like going fishing? Yeah. What's your biggest catch? That's five pound beneath it so far right? Five pound? That's pretty good. Thank you. Yeah I take a fishing with me she likes to go to the lake and and the in-charge stuff. Yeah she's exposed big to them. Like the lake it's like doing the lake it's really hard on so the kids do the ocean fishing and stuff like that but I think once they get used to it is once they get hooked. Absolutely. Like Dave jumped off here it's time to departing.

4:30No I just had to get re-situated I just ran in here I was literally on the toll road and I thought this would work and then it didn't work and then I'm in a mad panic and I was going to have lunch at the harbor and then I ended up driving home and running in here and causing major havoc with Kelly and here we are doing our show and gang if you don't know it's QR's birthday today. QR's how old are you today? How old do you think I'm going to be? 22. No. But how's your husband? I don't even have one. Okay what are you 11? 10. See my god she's like fully old now. Yeah she's a big girl now. She's like so well. Do you want to drive your sights down?

Well Jeanette you run the anglers at the Anglerettes right? Yes. Yeah so she runs an organization called the Anglerettes and it's all about girls. Girls and kids. You're the future of a situation like that. Fishing your real covers, hats, beanies, shorts, anything for the girls. Wow. If you're not with me I'll make sure I go get it for you. So Jeanette, for those that don't know, everyone about Anglerettes. We are starting a no-builder priest and then we're on here on Friday and they mentioned you guys as

6:34well how crazy busy you are at the show. So and then where are you going to be at the PCS show but booths and so on. So I will be in the coast of the basic building on booth 658 to 660. We started the company basically trying to get girls out there to go fishing and stuff like that. I think this is my eleventh year that I've been into the industry and I started. Didn't expect anything out of it. I had no idea what I was doing. All I knew is I was making stuff that I was going to leave because nothing really fit. I was helping out on the strip boats. I was on the boat every day if I possibly could. I started helping doing lobster fishing, commercial lobster fishing. Then after that I did commercial rod and reel. It's got sponsored by Fishing rods. So it's just kind of like an on top. I think actually adjusted me fishing. I think this was really the second or

7:37deep sea fishing I could sticker than stick on your boat. But it got me into this water. So what kind of things does Anglorets make? So I came out with shorts for the girls that have piled pockets, hats, beanies, shirts, movie shirts. I came out with real covers to protect our reels because I have some expensive reels that are pretty and don't want to get scratched up and what better have your reels cover to. That's all pretty, pretty rod, really covered, safe. So I came out with the bill covers. One thing I want to get into is making some rods, also some custom pretty rods for the girls because a lot of the rods you're out there that are all designated for the guys but we need to get more girls to get out there. Yeah, this year we are going to be on the ocean Odyssey on July 20th. It's a day and a half trip. We have lots of giveaways and stuff like that on there. Actually put one, everybody on the boats, usually on there almost every year, the same people. Ocean Odyssey, they're a great boat. We always have fun and we chill it out there. 9:42Ryan from playday is here and he's got a tournament. He couldn't have picked a better day than Saturday in the middle of this giant trade show. He's going to do a tournament in LA Long Beach Harbor. Ryan, we had John here. I don't know if you can still hear us, can you? I can hear you, but can you hear me? We hear you and see you. All right, I'm glad to hear because I can't tell you're seeing me. So that's good to hear. Yeah, we hear you and we see you sometimes and we see you right now and Captain Al is super excited to see you. Oh man, I'm going to adjust my camera here. So I want to give you the, I just I can't see myself. So I want to make sure I'm in for you guys the best information that I can't. You're absolutely, but we got Janette on here from Anglorette telling us about all the cold clothing she's got for the girls and the children

10:45and then Ryan just for a few minutes because I know you're being the best printable you can possibly be. Just tell us what's going on with the tournament. You need you got a few spots open and then I'll jump back into you, Janette. Sure, thank you. So first of all, we are lucky that we get to host like pretty much pretty much the largest lobster hooking tournament here in California. We have some other groups that put together, but we do a big one. It is unfortunate that this year really the only Saturday that we had left that worked was Saturday the PCS show. So that is stinky, but it is a tournament that is out of LA Long Beach Harbor kind of spread from Cabrillo, San Pedro all the way over to the Los Alamedos break wall and it is specifically for California Spiny Lobster and we call it King of the Harbor because as you know Dave and the Angloretts know like some of the biggest Spiny Lobster in the world come out of Long Beach California as I'm sure

11:46Kelly knows. And so we try to tap into that because this tournament is limited to your three heaviest bugs. And we've had bags as heavy as almost 24 pounds in the past where people are coming up with three seven pound bugs in one night. It's crazy. That's good. Absolutely. Well, Al's got the biggest lobster of the year for your saltwater guy. He's got 11 pound lobster, 11 something. I can't remember exactly what it was. And that was down in San Diego, which is kind of rare. But Captain Al's holding on tight to that. We hope that he keeps it. But Justin may get one bigger. We got a couple of weeks left of the season. I know we're going to get a big giant one on Wednesday night because I'm going hoop netting. But Ryan, what are the, what do we got to do to get involved in this tournament if we got our own boat? So it's really probably that any one of

12:48the freaking social media platforms, whether it's, you know, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, website, YouTube, whatever, just if you just Google the word lobster tournament or the word sleigh day, you can sign up in about 30 seconds. I do want to interrupt though. Can you guys hear me? Okay, I keep getting an error that says reconnecting. No, we hear you find nothing wrong. Perfect. So you can hop on and basically there's only five bits of information, you know, the name of your team members, the name of your boat. You got to promise it's not to be a cheater and a liar. And basically, you can check it all pulling dockside. Long Beach allows us to use Davies launch facilities in Los Alamedos Bay. You can have up to four guys or gals or kids on your team. And it's basically form to 11 p.m. No holds barred. It's comes out. It's about $130 per team, but you have a chance of taking home almost $3,000 in cash for that night. In addition to

13:50so many great prizes from Pro Morinahe and Blacktail Fish and Opsin, Floor Carbon and Dick Han and just some great raffles that are going to help support the family of a Tom Troop and cash troop because we lost a really good angler a couple of weeks ago here in Southern California. Yeah, that's very, very sad. I'm very happy that you're doing this for him and his family. We can't do this. It's a Brian and all the guys from American Maple and one of the things I'd like to share with you Dave before I pass it back over to our fellow Anglerette is this tournament we really try to bring like a family atmosphere to it where we're hanging out before barbecue and hanging out, we're hanging out after we weigh in, we got you know about $2,500 of stuff to raffle off, but you know the biggest thing we need to remember is that this is competition and there are some guys in this competition that have been being wonny charmer for years and years and years and years and by only by everybody the chance to only weigh in three, we think it's a really fair tournament,

16:54so this year I know we've had some sketchy turnout be PCS and also some guys that are concerned that the same teams win every year, but to me that's just that would that would give me even more fuel to get out there and try to prove myself. So we got about six spots left, we got a week left, come out and join us on Saturday at a Long Beach. Absolutely, you guys can find Ryan in the gang at Slayday and like he said on any social media you can find him, what were you saying now? I said that's nice, how many boats will max it out? How many of you guys allowed to? So this year our max is 100 anglers which comes out to about 25 vessels and we have sold out every year, we usually do 25 to 40 boats and this is the one year where we still have, I think we still have seven six or seven openings but we got a week left and you could sign up even the night before. 17:58and I'm wondering about this, I won't do the tournament personally but I like to be there to support everyone that does because I like to watch when people bring in the lobster, support them, tell them hey what a great job they're doing, that's just my idea, I go out there and I run chargers, I mean I don't need to do it but I like to be there in support of them, if I can make it, I am 100% gonna be at that dock and everyone comes in and say hi to everyone, support them and watch all the giveaways, the cool thing is it's about the Slayday and the lobster tournament is there's so many giveaways at that 130 dollars or 150 dollars to enter the tournament, if you win one prize at this tournament that's gonna more than cover that amount automatically because there's such phenomenal prizes over there and it's absolutely crazy mind blowing that Ryan has put up such a huge tournament for the sloppers, there are so many freaking prizes out there it's unbelievable and like you said about the barbecue and everything else that they do,

19:01if you haven't seen it it's something you have to do and for only a hundred and something dollars enter a tournament, why not do it? Yeah right, it's very reasonably priced, you're gonna spend that much on bake, why not? Exactly, why not enter the tournament, you're possibly win $3,000 or $1,500 exactly, and what what love the most is the last thing I'm gonna say Dave is you know when the community comes together like this what we're really doing and I think like you know everybody from CCA and I think you Dave and everyone agreed like all we're doing is just broadening our community and opening up a little bit more and getting a little bit more intimate with each other and closer together because the government is working just as hard to get rid of fishing as we're working to enjoy fishing so the more anglers and anglorets and kids that we have out there growing this awesome local fishery that we have with our Spongebobster and our rock crab like that's gonna stick around and you know the less involved

20:03we're together you know divided we fall you know and I really feel that way. And I just want to give you guys a little background on Ryan beside he runs a cool operation and he he has the slay day boats and he's doing this tournament he's also a full-time principal gang this is the guy that's teaching your children this is the person that you want teaching them right this is not the the woke person out there this is a real human being a real man a real father and a real pillar in the community and you're teaching the right things Ryan and I love being your friend I know I know there's not a lot of people that can handle you Dave or handle me sometimes but but I like being your friend too bro and all those people that don't like being my friend I don't care don't they don't affect my life they don't affect your life not at all not even a little bit and the one thing I want to say all the haters out there I will leave a bag of tickets for you at

22:09and yeah the lobsters the quality of lobsters every year is just absolutely incredible and if you're thinking about whooping you want to go down there and see what's going on because when these guys bring in these lobsters it's pretty impressive that they caught these lobsters in Long Beach LA Harbor people don't even know they think there's nothing in the harbor everything's gone already Kelly girl we'll tell you the world records right there in that harbor oh yeah and Dave you know I know Justin you you get up to Long Beach a lot but you know all the other guys down south like Cloudern all those guys we don't talk about it but this year we've seen a 13.5 a 15.7 a bunch over 10 like there's some big ass lobsters in that harbor y'all and they're just waiting to be caught and put right back in the ocean after you get that picture no it's something and you know what big lobsters taste like like delicious lobster lobster

25:12all right thanks for tuning in today we're going to talk about the ambush line of hoop nets we're going to start at the bottom and work our way to the top or start at the top and work away to the bottom pain on where you're at at your level of hoop netty first of all we're going to talk about the new ambush XL heavy now this thing is an animal this thing most of us for years have had to put weights in the bottom of our nets to get them down to the bottom on the fishing over 100 feet of water well the guys at pro mar have come up with the most phenomenal design this thing right here this thing by itself weighs 14 pounds this is a big piece of metal right here this thing is going to sink like a boulder right to the bottom you're not going to have to put any more weights on them you're not going to have to worry about that anymore this thing's ready to go if you guys are fishing in the deep water the new XL heavy is going to be your go to ambush net next the ambush XL this is a phenomenal net giant opening at the top much bigger than the original ambush this is going to be for those of you with enough deck space that can handle these

26:16because like I've always said I've never had enough anything and I've never had enough of an ambush net the bigger the better always bigger is better the more lobster you can fit in here the better it's going to be for you get the night over with quicker so the ambush XL is much bigger around than the original ambush net the problem with this if you have a small boat those it's going to take up a big piece of property on your boat so we're going to go to the original ambush and show you a little bit smaller in diameter much easier to store these all stack right up on top of each other for easy storage when you have ten of these because you're not going to want a hoop net without ten because you're never going to go by yourself you're always going to take a friend that way he can have five and you can have five and these things will stack up and take up one tiny little area on your boat if you look those of you with the small 20 foot to 30 foot boat you're going to want the smaller type ambush nets the original ambush because they take up less space on the deck of your boat much easier to store you can see the difference in size

30:32at the show I I've been doing this show with Bill since the very beginning and Justin and Al have been doing it with me now for about 10 years Al may be five Justin 10 this is an absolute incredible show that Orange County show has always been the show to be at but now we're all gonna get to go down and do the show in Del Mar back in Al's backyard which is gonna be super exciting because those people haven't seen this show ever so we're gonna get to go down there and do it down there Justin and Al what do you guys what do you guys most excited about about this show there's tons and tons of top nuts people there in top nuts gears really cool and then you're gonna see all the new new stuff for 2026 as well you know that they're hiding like like Janette's hiding and the new the new stuff for 2026 so did you notice that Janette won't even say

31:35what it is you know and yeah it's it's we gotta go on there we have shirts that we came up with in our town everybody loves wagons so we kind of brought something with our hometown fishing so we made up a shirt for that so someone in Australia is that Janette hot rod no that's not Janette hot rod that's another another Janette so this Janette owns Anglo rights yes he's all didn't know no hot rods and you have more than you it sounds like when you announced that booth numbers you got like three in a row or something right yeah we're in my 30 that's a big operation right there oh it is a lot of work is set up it's a complete boutique with a changing room because you know the girls are picky about their stuff so I want to make sure the girls can try it on you like what they're wearing and they feel comfortable

32:39because you know it sucks buying something and getting in home and all this stuff doesn't even fit or I don't even know this way this fits so there's a changing room when they try it on you know what they like and you feel comfortable when it is and you got stuff for for from little the little tikes all the way up to adults right we have six months 12 months 18 months two teens to 14 we go to um extra small to extra large in kids and then for adults we started extra small we go for XL we got a little bit for everything for everybody and are you going to be at the Del Marceau Del Marceau oh yeah well also he had big thoughts too well Steve Duncan wants to get some new clothes for his daughter Dallas so he's gonna have to come

33:44over there and check you out it's funny Steve Duncan was Ryan's coach when he was a kid playing baseball I find that crazy these Steve Duncan Ryan they've been around forever gang these guys have been around and Steve Duncan's out there fishing all the time he's out there fishing at the lobsters at night halibut sand bass during the day this guy is a plethora of knowledge and he's constantly fishing all the time great friend of the show and a great friend of Justin and he's a great friend of ours and Janette he's been sounds like he's been supporting you for a while but Dallas has grown out of the clothes so she needs some new clothes so you're gonna get to see him at the show Jack Bushnell good to see you buddy I'll see you Thursday and uh wow I cannot believe it's showtime gang you I'm in Cabo San Lucas right now and I'll be up in an airplane tomorrow flying up there then driving and oh my god I can't wait to see how bitching everybody's taking care of

35:55time setting all that up all we have to do is just walk in there Justin everything's gonna be set up for us right hopefully yeah I don't think so I got I got lobster trips I got fishing trips I even have all that one to go fishing on Wednesday but so Al you got any trips coming up or do you got any deals okay if someone was to come to the show are is there you're gonna be there on Saturday all day all day and the barbecue on Saturday so and we're barbecue and and you're you're invited to Jeanette we're barbecue and we're feeding everybody on Saturday night hopefully we run out of food last year we didn't run out of food we ran out of people but um

36:56Kelly girl and I are feeding everybody so if you show up you get get fed out in the parking lot we'll be out at Brent Rodriguez's fifth wheel putting on a great barbecue Justin will be barbecue and up the burgers and we'll be having fun out in the parking lot right after the show and we're not gonna take anybody's we're not gonna take any food away from any of the vendors or any of the food trucks but as soon as it shows over you want to come out in the parking lot get a burger or a hot dog and just hang out with some really cool people because Justin will be there Al will be there and a bunch of the members of your saltwater guide will be there and you can hang out and have fun and talk to them and then you can meet all my haters my haters are coming to the party they said so you can meet all the haters they're gonna be there having fun because everybody loves to hate cap day but cap name gets 30 million views a month so bring it on haters I love you every single one of you I love love love you what hey last year the barbecue

38:04was really cool a lot of people showed up it was good stuff and we barbecued some lobsters because we had some lobsters show up at the barbecue I mean it's kind of crazy people giving away their lobsters Justin must be and Al you guys must be spoiling these people because they got extra lobster I never had a extra lobster I don't even know what color they are I know I brought a guy on the both the other day and he said that he caught the last trip human out he caught a lobster with Dave yes he did he caught one lobster and he loves me I hope we beat that tonight yeah you did well gang you can book captain Al or captain Justin at the PCS show but you guys got to go over there and check out Jeanette right when you walk is it gonna be like last year right when you walk in that building your booth is like pretty much wrong the left hand side when you walk into the coast to make the building
