music music Down where the blue water meets the bias sun The hunt for the Johnny says only just begun Captain Dave is on the bridge with a salty stare There's a heavy scent of diesel in the humid air He looks across the harbor and the shiny holes He's pouring on the tourists and the screaming goes He says stop fishing for folks and find the thief There are promises for ocean that we have to keep Oh turn the handle and lift the flag just scream Living out of cobbles and look cause fishing dream They had people with suntands and smiles on their face I did a freedom in this liquid space Turn off the news They're all lions to you anyway
We're out here killing fish and the breaking of the day He's got a hot dog on a stick and a story to tell Navigating through the swells of this coastal hill He says I wish I was a California sea lion too Because they have more rights than me or you Yeah the laws of the land are getting mighty strange While the sea lions are not allowed to die of change They park on the rocks while the tax man takes the ship But he's got a heavy lure and he doesn't care All righty good That is a phenomenal intro song I love that song Matt Ryan Thank you again for that Intro song that is incredible It's actually three and a half minutes long Gang if you want to hear the whole thing Will play it on on a YouTube video for you
But we didn't cut we barely scratched the surface Both two days ago when we were talking in the the amount of people that want to know everything There is to know about z care or blow in my minds I had to bring you back two days later Just we got to keep doing this because this is an incredible I am so happy that I met you I can't emphasize that enough I need to This is the product we all look for for so so long And I can't emphasize enough how excited I am And our members that have gotten your product already Have shown enthusiasm in your product Like nothing they've ever had before Lisa sent me this picture Yesterday when she found out you were back on the show today I want to show you this window That the dogs have just turned into the most grossest thing in the world Look at this window Okay
Now look at what happened to it when you put your product on it Amazing What is going on? That's not even the same window Is it? Let's look That's funny You know the funny part is it's like my solution doesn't even really do glass that well Unless you use the hard water If she used the hard water then she probably did Which she probably did Then yeah that's the outcome you'd expect Yeah she was pretty damn impressed with the whole thing She's a sweet lady And she's got lots of good stuff to say And now you and your dad are being active over on the app So just letting everybody know These guys are here to stay They're a full sponsor of the show now They're going to be a part of this But if you guys are still sitting on the fence And want to know Does this really do what Matt Ryan And John Stanley And Lisa And Tiffany and her father
These guys are using the product every day right now And it's just Absolutely incredible But we didn't even I mean there's so much to talk about this product That you send out in the boat box What's that all about? So the boat box is something that we came up with We all we have this little room over here And it's just this little office And we all sit in there behind our computer We call it the war room We sit behind our computers and we just brainstorm On you know like there's no such thing as a bad idea kind of situation So like even if it's over the Forever just put it on the whiteboard And then we'll go through all of it And we'll give it a check mark, check no Yes or no and then move forward But the boat box is something that we came up with Because the boat box is everything that you need It has the multi-purpose Multi-surface cleaner which cleans your vinyl Your decking Your hole Any kind of like fiberglass that you might have All of your tarps
Or not tarps Like your bimini tops and all that stuff And you have to remove it which everybody needs to get the hard water off the boat And then you have the nano Which is everybody has at least one screen on their boat To keep that clean Plus your sunglasses So we just said let's give it a discounted rate for So this plus this plus this equals you know 80 bucks Well let's sell it for this And give the people a great product at a great price Yeah Lisa just joined us here She's on here and says hi to everybody Yeah I didn't even know what they were talking about When a lot like eight or nine of our members Text me and they said I just got the boat box I'm so excited I'm like boat by what the hell are you talking about I don't even know what what we're doing It's been two days and I already got it in their hands Yeah it's amazing you guys You do follow through You are what you say you are Yeah guys today we want to open this up
Because this is a really cool Product and if you have any questions But today I want to talk about And then see If there's anything there for us Our industry In this battery thing that you've developed This battery thing I was like wait a minute We didn't even talk about the batteries Can you please come back on Friday Let's talk about the batteries And answer everybody's got questions about your product But the batteries I'm like Now wait a minute what's the battery company called? So the battery company is called Volta Power USA V-O-L-T-A-P-O-W-E-R-U-S-A We specialize in marine deep cycle batteries And golf cart lithium batteries We also like when I say deep cycle marine Deep cycle marine lithium So we have a group 24-12-volt group Group 27-12-volt A group 31-36-volt
And then 36-volt for the golf cart And a 48-volt for the golf cart Wow So what sets your batteries apart? Because I'll be honest with you A lot of the people I talk to When I was talking to them That you guys make lithium batteries And I'm just being honest They're like oh well we can't put those on our boat They start on fire Not true Not true I would say Out of probably the handful of lithium claims that I've gotten online Through our website All of them were definitely user air You know you can't let your battery sit for six months Come back and expect it to Be ready to rock and roll you just you can't Let ask that lithium doesn't matter As far as the fire goes The fires most of the time People hear about lithium fires People don't realize it's those drill battery fires on the news
It's not lithium in the golf cart You know like you got these snowbirds Excuse me seasonal visitors And they Leave their batteries on the charger Plugged in for six months And it doesn't do anything and it's sitting there pushing push And push and push and push and push and push and push Usually it's not it's going to bone And a lot of the times That's it most related fires of golf carts Is due to the lead acid chargers Because they have bad batteries And they're trying everything that they can To prolong the life of them because they're so expensive And the charger just gets overheated in combusts As far as lithium fires go The number one issue with lithium fires That I've seen in the industry Are from manufacturers that solder their connections together Versus laser weld Their connections together Which is something that we claim That's the only way that our batteries are put together If it's not laser welded It's going to be nut and bolt Or it's going to be a screw Through the bus bar with our tv on top of it
So that it will not shake rattle and roll loose It's a solid connection all the time And our golf cart batteries Actually have a Fire extinguisher built inside of the box itself So no matter what happens It's never going to come outside of that box Okay, and you guys You're working with a lot of the bass fisherman guys Out there in Arizona And now are they switching over to your batteries in their bass boats A lot of them are Yeah, so like depending on application You know like with the bass boats Most of the trailer motors are going to be 36 volts So the 36 volt group 31 We usually put two of those in there in parallel That's going to allow that bass boat to run about Two and a half days if they have to On one charge Especially with these guys that are efficient for a paycheck They want that security So they're going to add that extra in there Just in case you know Because I don't know how many bass fish And we have in here the zoom not a bunch
But when you're fishing The tournament or a derby And it's a bigger one Like on the west coast Everybody pretty much stays at the same hotel So everybody's fighting over the same outlet Right? We lost both there for a minute He'll be back on here just a second I don't know what's happening here But we lost both for a second Stand by he'll jump back in here in just a minute But gang, I am blown away by the I didn't know he would be here But we lost both for a second Stand by, he'll jump back in here in just a minute But Gang, I am blown away by The I didn't know how important this thing was and you guys have shown me how important it's is by All your responses It's just absolutely incredible that you guys have latched onto this product in a couple of days He's already shipping out product to you guys and a lot of you already have it in your hands It's just absolutely amazing that you guys Latched onto this. I thought oh my god. This is a product. We all need it's near and dear to our heart
If we have something that takes away these water spots and then oh my god. Hey Lisa Everybody came pouring out of the woodwork to get this product in Daniel Rubin. How are you today? Hope you're feeling better and Yeah, the the immense amount of feedback for bow and his father and Everybody just telling us what a great product. This is I'm just blown away and I'm glad we found bow and I'm super happy that he's part of the family now And I'm I'm sure you guys are gonna be blown away with how good this is How good this product is and it what it does exactly what it says it's gonna do and he's being act very active over here on on The app too Bose Taking it to the app and he thinks the apps
Uh-oh power went out in their building. That sucks. Oh my god right when we're talking about batteries What's the chances of the power going out Elliott? That's absolutely amazing. Thanks for keeping the show gone Yeah, we'd all rather be fishing. Oh wait a minute. I am out here fishing It was unbelievable. You know what's crazy Lisa and Matt and the rescue guys are watching the show right in this bay if you guys were to Google where we're at at Fraleys There's this bay here right before you go into the park at Cabo Puma There are Dorado all over in the surf like a yacht came in and he caught some Dorado already in the surf. I was about to say you're back How you doing how crazy is that we're talking about power and your power goes out? I think I think my guys in the back were charging something and they blew the breaker
Thank you guys in the back. Oh, yeah, I appreciate that All right, so where were we on this battery thing? Uh, we were talking about About the connections, right? So when it comes down to the connections, right? So I can't tell you how many batteries on the 12-volt side of things that I cracked open Trying to just learn and educate myself on how they work that the welds the solder Was is what broke and that's why the battery failed So knowing that we don't solder anything everything is laser welded And if it's not laser welded it is put together through a bus bar And the bus bar is nut and bolted to the main positive main negative to allow the batteries to have the best connection Strongest connection for the longest period of time First map matters It does matter. I mean if you have a bad can I mean it's just like you know like you got to let's say your phone chargers Got our cutter like a little fray or something you can plug it in and you have to like move it a certain way
That's just a bad connection So you're going to get half the charge and it's going to take twice as long to where if you have a good connection It's not going to take nearly as long and you're going to get all the power possible Which is what you're looking for especially when it comes to lithium The lithium likes to be charged all the time just like our cell phones It's the same thing. It's just a bigger platform Like we we we preach all the time to our customers. It's the ABCs of lithium. It's always the charging So that's huge. I think we got to talk about this Fire thing with the lithium a little bit more because so many people are apprehensive because if you turn on people are talking about Lithium battery fires and that's all they talk about and like you were saying it's your it's your electric drill. It's It's your camera. It's so much But it is not These batteries that you're putting in the golf cart or you're putting in the basketball or you're putting in your car Those are not the culprit, right?
Not mine. No We got to emphasize It's yeah, I mean like you know they got a bad reputation for that specifically Um, but once you educate people, which is what I'm here to do to understand The what what they do and how good they are for you and the clean and power so like Like to put it this way like you look at your guys is let us to 12 volts or run on your graphs and your radios and all that stuff You have to charge them every time you get back to the dock, right? Well, what if you're on a four day trip then what You just hear your your floating, you know, well these lithium batteries have a three to four time longer run time Then your traditional acid batteries and you can put them in parallel up to three batteries So like it might my 36 volts you can put three 36 volts in parallel and my bass boats can do pull skiers behind them with the power and they can run for five days You know, so it's like it's the more that you educate yourself on the lithium the more you will realize that the fire is the most of the fires that happened from why
Experience are the DIY projects the guys that buy the cells off with Off of like Ollie Baba or Amazon and they go on their garage and they put them together and like all this is going to kick butt My solar panels are going to be amazing and then you know three weeks later you see him on the news in their houses in ash tray You know what I mean like it just doesn't it doesn't work like that when you have somebody that knows what they're doing They understand what the power is how it flows and they put it in a specific application that's as safe as possible That's that's what we do We have a number one another issue with battery failure is In balance cells so you like in my 48 volts we have 24 cells in there Yeah 24 different cells So the 24 different cells actually it's less than that. It's like 18 18 cells Well, they all have to go in into series so you go positive one negative to the next and you have to go all the way through that well most lithium batteries
Once the charger sees it's fully charged on the very first cell It's just the charger off Well the very first cells charged well, that doesn't mean that seven's charged or 13 or 10 Those ones aren't charged but that doesn't matter because the charger recognizes the first one So that's why we implemented an active balancer There's going to be a UPS guy walking the door here like two seconds. So excuse that um The active balancer kicks on every 60 minutes for 10 seconds And balances the cells within three thousands of a volt that's point zero zero three Thank you That's point zero zero three of a volt So when you have your battery being balanced every 60 minutes to that to that close of a of a voltage between all of them You're not only going to get longer runtimes You're going to get shorter charge times and you're obviously going to get longest the longest life possible Most battery life sits cell that like die off in a year and a half to two years. It's a bad cell
Um, that's just that plain and simple Some manufacturers don't use grade A cells some incorporate grade A cells. We use only grade A cells And we use prismatic cells So the prismatic cell would be like uh, what's a great way it if you could think of like a like a mason brick for a house And you set it on its end. That's what a prismatic cell looks like The cells that everybody sees are the the certain the tubular cells And those are like what you put in your old mag lights. Maybe you just put the old Sea batteries in your mag light Those are those are like you imagine having 32 of those in a battery Now it's terrifying That's terrifying Yeah Exactly hold on one second gosh you're gonna catch them the fish and wide open at a hundred miles It's it's full speed blue fin. You're gonna catch them. I'm glad you're going on the old glory tonight Hey, we got a question. What it Very slowly because people are trying to catch up while you're talking
What is your battery website Vultipower USA dot com VOLTA POWER USA dot com All right Why they're listening to you? They're just trying to catch up and look at the how cold the battery looks It's a good looking battery besides it's working bad. I get excited talking about it. So I might talk fast. I apologize No problem. Yeah, that's it. That's it Yeah, this is your baby, right? This is your baby Yeah, so like we have all these introduction videos Um, this is the butterfly extinguisher Um, we show you guys the inside of the battery because we have nothing to hide We're complete. I have a battery that is completely translucent that I walk around to these different dealers with and say Have you ever seen that? They're like no, I'm like why not? I was like what are the other people have to hide? They got out of I don't have anything to hide So we do that like see there so that black box is a fire extinguisher
The with the red one next to it. That's the active balancer that we were talking about And then that big red thing in the back there that's going to be the uh, the BMS So you see that on the on the on the right side of the black uh A fire extinguisher you see that that orange bus bar We don't saw there you go good job alia We don't solder anything. It's bus bars from connections. It's a connection And that white stuff on there is to prevent anything from shaking rattling or rolling loops That's a hundred percent just longevity But uh the BMS there that thing with the fan in it So our standard is a 250 amp BMS the market standard is a hundred and fifty So we're giving you like this application that we're looking at with fit inside of all your guys is uh We're those little harbor boats that run around The their electric power Duffy the duffy's yeah exactly. We actually went out and spoke with duffy about these and we sold them a couple
And the reason that we spoke with them is because This is one application so them to shake daisy chain a bunch of them But yeah, I mean, that's that's the top but The 250. Yeah, so the the next one down is just about um Uh our active our BMS we were talking about the market standard is 150 ours is 250 minimum and the reason we did that was is because if you live somewhere funny My name is bug If you live somewhere flat you don't have to worry about the BMS But if you live in the foothills where you're going to be climbing hills to go places That extra draw and that extra amperage could shut your BMS down and it's going to leave you dead the middle of the road So we added Um that that extra that extra in there so that nobody will ever have an issue because if you move to Colorado Then then what you know we just cover in our butts Same thing you can see all the buses. They're all the orange ones there are the our tv on everything
Um It's just a very well-built battery. It's very well-built battery The uh fire marks go ahead Do you see Mike Lut? Do you see the questions on the side here? Yeah ebikes that's the worst that's the worst business you can get in and those ebike batteries are just They're from what I've experienced not that great um You have to go to the manufacturer to have them replaced You there's not like a aftermarket battery for them I get calls literally every day on my bolted line asking for ebike batteries I heard that even Inherences are up in your insurance if they know you have ebikes in your garage So if that tells you anything There you go Mike Liz and then John my good friend John from Fernandez You need to know what is
What is the difference between solid state and lithium a solid state battery and lithium Yes, I believe I what words is it on the side here right right in front of you right in front of you Oh, what's the difference between lithium and solid state battery? I've just seen those advertised an extremely expensive or sold for solid state So I'm not super familiar with solid state batteries. I've done no research on them Um, I've heard the term of multiple times. I know that uh that could be something he could have that confused with like the salt base batteries Um, yep, there's the active balancer. So that's what kicks on every hour for 10 seconds there No other battery in the whole world has those as far as I know um But uh the lithium that the upside to lithium is is that you're going to it's it's a little more upfront cost But like if you go to get like a lead acid battery to run your graphs on your boat
The lead acid battery, you know captain Dave said at the other day It's two and a half to three years is all you're going to get out of them after that you're on borrow time A lithium battery my batteries have a five-year warranty So for you know the first three years They're a hundred percent covered and then for the last two years are pro-rated and the pro-ration and basically just covers my cost I'm not making any money at the pro-ration rate. I'm just covering my cost on them Because they gave me a specific warranty and I'm giving you more, you know, so that's that's really all it is My keyator charger. I don't know what that is. I've never heard of that That's how you do it Jeff Beach Cruiser's old school keep them legs and shape buddy looking good But yeah, that's that's whether that's the they're on the manufacturing line there like we Unfortunately every every lithium battery no demand is made in Over the pond there's none manufactured here. We don't have the Technology to do it nor the resources to do it
So if they say a american made They're lying to you basically but But yeah the in my opinion it's the best battery that's manufactured on the market. We've taken measures to guarantee The quality battery. I mean the BMS alone with the 250 amp continuous on top of We don't well everything is either laser welded or faceted together with our TV to make it stay there There's no reason for it to fail. There's nothing that can be done unless you like completely submerge it or something That's different story, but that's more common sense at that point So what if you take these batteries all the way down to zero? What's the bat that recharge time? What Are do we want to go to? Sure, so we've programmed our batteries to never actually hit zero because you never want to completely drain a lithium But they do shut off at 20% so when it says zero on your meter
It's really at 20% and that's to allow when you get back to your house to actually plug it in and charge it But if it's dead where you completely Discharge the battery the longest it would take to charge is four and a half to five hours Okay, here you go So yes, Mike Lewis. This is the same guy that was on here on Wednesday talking about his cleaner Hit him and his father also developed these batteries that I thought that we need to bring Bow back in and talk about him, but real quick, but before we go any further Todd Mansor my good friend and I we put together this little video to tell everybody about taking care of your boat and Mansor Marine and McCarty Yacht sales check this out Hey guys captain Todd here with McCarty Yacht Group and Mansor Marine Guys I'm down here in Dana Point Harbor and it is beautiful guys I just want to let you know if you guys are interested in buying or selling a boat right now You can give me a call at McCarty Yacht Group my number is 949-547-747-48
We helped some beautiful people get into some wonderful boats this summer And we're hoping that you give us a call so we can help you get through the entire process It's not always as easy as you'd think and you need somebody like us that has the experience to get you through it from putting in offers Getting you through surveys and getting into that final acceptance if you guys are interested Give me a call at 949-547-747-48 and hey guys if you're interested in management We have some spots open for Yacht Management and this is a full service Yacht Management We take care of the ins and outs of your boats so you don't have to make sure it's turn key at any time If you guys are interested, let me know at 949-547-747-48 And thank you very much Todd and we'll give you a call Get to the boat management. Hey, we got our good friend Captain Al Klawers One of my one of my guides just like Justin. He's on here. He's a bass fish and bass pro Bass guy He needs to know a little bit more about your batteries. He's gonna ask some cool questions right now
Why he's laying on it back? Because his back is jacked up right now. How you doing out? I'm okay. I'm hanging in there. It's like day nine Oh Jesus Referred to do an ablation. Hopefully they hurry up and do it but um this morning's a little bit better But I was watching. I'm like screw that. I'm gonna click on there But as far as the batteries those things are I have never used them But I have a ranger or 20 per ranger with forward facing solar I have three units on it and the forward facing sonar um runs out of juice on the regular I don't know the proper termings for a regular group 27 I have three group 27s in that boat and Yeah, let acid and It'll start flashing after about five hours of the screen. Well, so all the guys that I know That are super forward facing the sonar guys that use it all day they have I believe they have lithium batteries
connected to that To that forward facing unit because that unit eats a lot of juice Yeah, it does so so here's when it comes down to like the lit so like the let acid batteries You know, I'm sure you've noticed it like when you first get on the water You're probably looking at like 1313-2 on your voltage on your screen And then like 12 o'clock comes around and now you're flirting with like 12-8 12-7 and then anything below like 12-4 to 12-3 It's really going to be where you you can't see out 80-90 feet anymore You can't see your bait hitting the water anymore You're really struggling to see it fall. It's just really all over the place and fuzzy Well with the lithium batteries so like we have For our forward facing for any of my approach staff We always give them the 12 volt 150 amps so you get 150 amps per battery. We give them to In those two batteries. I mean, I've got a couple guys that travel the the whole world. I mean the world the country
Josh Josh Merchand on our pro staff tie out on our pro staff We have a bunch of local hammers here on the pro staff And they can literally tie is really the guy that really opened my eyes to this We actually came out with a 16 volt specifically for forward facing sonar So the the forward facing sonar is is one of the biggest Thing in bass fishing right now. Yeah, I see there. So we got like the picture of the the forward facing on there That's that's dedicated specifically to forward facing um and the reason for that is is because voltage drop is a thing when it comes to that But it's also current as well So me personally, I like to tell my guys to run two 12 volts because again if you're out there fishing and that's how you pay your bills Then you need to have a backup plan So if one battery goes down you still have another battery to keep fishing to get you back to the ramp to figure out what happened The one that wanted it to work But with the two 12 volts you're going to be you're going to be able to see
90 80 to 90 feet For 10 hours a day without a problem. That's from son up to sundown And it's only two of them you only need two of them to do that So my friend Mike Lewis got some of your product got the boat box. He's wanting to know Do you know how many people ordered that the products from you in the last two days? What's that number? You think that's interesting Yeah, I think of now if they use the code it was we were up to like 12 or 13 orders If they use the code, but some people get uh, they get they don't use the code because I saw a lot of boat boxes Yeah, they still a lot of boat boxes that That's mainly what we've been pushing out for the last couple of days. So thank you all so much for that. We really appreciate it Yeah, captain Al's trying here is he's on here, but he we got no picture of yeah, how I don't know. Can you hear us? Yes
Cap now Now Can hear us all right. I don't know That's Logo box We're trying to answer your questions Oh, can a lift and better be jumped like a let acid battery Um, yes It can It's frowned upon, but it can Um, you don't want to put a lot of amperage in there because you can overamp the BMS and just blow the whole BMS We do have a specific machine you can get him on Amazon You basically hook it up to the main positive and main negative and you pushed very very little amounts of amperage in Until you see the the cells and the app kick on and then you can start pushing the amperage that you're looking for Um, sometimes you can you can I mean like You can but um, I wouldn't recommend it There he is back from this couch Sorry about that Oh, man wait a minute hold on now
All right, there you are out perfect Go ahead Did I answer your question now? Yeah, it does absolutely so You can run well I have one starting battery and then I have the Liberals and all the units and I know on on the other two so if I have three Let acid batteries in there you would put um Your new batteries on two of them for the Libero and all the graphs correct. Yeah, so um so like yeah, so if you have two I would keep so that the thing when it comes to like terminate anglers I tell them all the time because the charges are specific right so if you have a if you have a lithium charger The charger is made to charge lithium are chargers you have the option to switch between the lead acid a gm and gel Um, but ours um, you can go in there so like if you have a charger and um
It's not capable of doing that. You're not going to be able to switch or live to switch out the whole Basically the whole insides of there now the two batteries for your forward facing I would put two of them in there for that I'd also run your lights and stuff off of that But your live will I would run off your cranker and I always recommend for crankers to run an agm or a gel Because if you if you're if you're at the boat dock and you're not turning over The chances of you walking into a pet boys or a checker Don't get a lithium battery are zero So if that's you know, it means so like to start your motor in the pinch to where you're you're literally fishing to pay your mortgage I always recommend not to run a lithium for a starter So I always talk to you would keep your keep your starter lead acid agm or gel whatever you wanted to do And then have all your electronics and your troll motor on lithium For if that's what I would recommend I mean some of my buddies that I grew up finishing with efficient mlf and everything like Brent early Early and all that and those guys say their batteries will last two and a half days
They can yeah, absolutely Sometimes they get to certain lakes practicing and if they don't have their generator with them They can't charge it so they're good for he says dude. I'm running my stuff. I don't know what batteries He's running but it but it's crazy and I like the point where you said The clarity of the forward-facing sonar as the voltage drops Got stuff starts to go away. It's not super clear in the target separation. It's not really good So now totally makes sense. My unit starts blinking About this time at home I go back to fishing the old way All right. Yeah, I don't fish. I mean For livin no more. I'm most saltwater fishing for livin, but Um, I got a bunch of gang kids and I try to take them to a lake and Trying to teach them about the forward-facing sonar around noon 1130 and starts blinking Yeah, no, you'll you'll have 10 hours a day with probably 60% left in the tank with two of the 150s
That's cool Mm-hmm. I actually had one of my pro staff. He was up fishing shasta on the one-bass Um, the one-bass sir and he had one of his batteries take a dump on him and he fished three days on 136 full battery without a charge Uh, yeah, they're all at clearly right now. Yeah, they are. Yeah, I was supposed to be there So clearly they're waiting some tankers up there. Yeah, they are I'm sure they are that's 36 pounds is leading it for five bass Yeah, he probably was five minutes away from the boat dock I fished that clear lake before we use live goldfish. It was awesome There's big ones in there. There's plenty for eight pounds in there, please So Tim Olfey has a question. He was told that Yamaha motors were sensitive to when it comes to what kind of batteries you hook to him And he thoughts on that bow Yeah, so I mean Powers power it doesn't matter if it's coming from a lithium HM or gel power is power
Clean power versus not so clean power meaning like lithium is like now Um, we're like a lead acid. It takes a little bit of a different deal So basically what Yamaha is saying is They haven't really updated their electronics system To be able to be able to get to the power like mercury Well, they won't even they won't even warranty if there's a lithium hooked up to the starter Um, that was a rumor. I heard like like a year and a half ago Um, but powers power. I think I personally I don't know this for a fact I'm not a boat technician or mechanic I just think that the technology and the motors they're not they haven't changed it yet So that's that that's their way of saving saving their butts if something were to happen That's my personal yeah Okay, and yeah, you can triple you can triple charge a lithium battery Yeah, you just turned down like five two amps five amps whatever you want no big deal All right, yeah, that we were just
There's several questions there. Thank you for getting to those questions Yeah, man What is Not to bolt what what is the comparison of your battery compared to rake If I went to pet boys and bought me a battery What's the difference in the cost? What's the difference in the battery? What if why am I gonna get your battery instead of somebody else's? Oh Here put me against the wall your cap So I don't really understand the whole thing So so when you go and you so like you like you cannot buy a lithium battery at like a checker or O'Reilly is it they can get them for you but they have to order them They don't keep them on the shelf and the reason for that is is because it isn't upfront cost, right? So if you go and you buy like a deep cycle battery for your boat at pet boys, it's gonna cost you a 250 bucks ish One of my 12 volts the cheapest battery I have. Yeah, Elliott's got it here the like these like the 150's they're they're 900 bucks
but But They have a five-year warranty the first three years of the warranty is forward placement Just like we would talk about it earlier captain captain Dave was talking about how you get two two and a half years out of a battery And then you're on borrow time He's not wrong. That's a hundred percent accurate So to have a comfort of five years versus Every time you turn the key wonder and hope and then pray and what's that what is that? I mean is that what's the price point on that for you as a consumer? You know what I mean now yeah when that's not just on price now when it comes to longevity Just as mr. Al was saying is you know by 12 o'clock he can't fish anymore because his forward facing isn't working Well you get one of these batteries and that's not a problem anymore One of these batteries can get you six hours Easy without without without a problem And with the lead acid you're just not going to get that you know In the best in the best fishing industry
There are very few boats with what acid's still in them Now when you say Hep boys or whoever Costco whatever can't put these on the shelf is it Because they have to purchase the battery before they sell it or is I didn't quite understand that maybe I I'm just yeah, I can just kill in a candy So like let's just use let's just use some like round numbers Let's say let's say Costco buys a six-fold or a 12-fold for a hundred dollars Then they buy six hundred of them and they put them throughout all their stores And then that's their bill when it comes to lithium You're not paying six you're not paying a hundred dollars you're paying Probably closer to two fifty or three So it's a very big upfront cost to be able to stock that kind of item on your shelves and then Without having anything you know because they get lost now you're out you know 300 bucks
Um a lot of the return policies and stuff like that They just like people buy and put them in their boat trying not like I'm bringing back and now you have a use battery That shows that it's used because ours has an app that's connected to it you I can tell you Plug into my bag. I can tell you how many times you've hit the troll motor How long you hit the troll motor for when you charged it how long it charged for And we put all this technology in there So if there ever is a warranty issue I can go into the battery and hey Billy Bob Oh, it was the last time you charged this thing man. Oh yesterday Well, it tells me here it hasn't been charged in a month and a half So it was lying to me, you know what I mean So that's that's kind of That's kind of the difference but like the price point and putting on the shelves It's harder to move like I have a RV dealer that I sell direct to um And they only buy like 23 at a time of all the different variants 23 total maybe 30 if I'm lucky But they only call me quarterly You know, I mean if that maybe maybe even every six months
And it's because it's such a high dollar item. It's harder to move So that's Hey, I'm in real quick. That's Dan Right what? Real quick that's Dan isn't that yeah, yeah, yeah I'm gonna Dan at the the international show but um, but yeah, so it's just it's It takes a long time to to push the it's just an upfront cost And it takes a long time to move it because a lot of people are going to walk by the $600 700 $100 battery and buy the $200 battery So Tim Olga V I don't know if you're If he's asking this quay if you watched the beginning of the show or not, but like I can't emphasize this enough But this is what we get asked all the time. Yeah Did you see what Tim Olga V just asked? I see him. Yeah, I mean this Something we got to address a lot more because yeah, it's a wall It is it is so
Tim that the the safety of the battery Internally is safe It's the user error part that scares me because if you actually drop a wrench And you hit both terminals that's gonna make it a very dangerous battery If you lay something on top of it and not realize it that's gonna make it a very dangerous battery the battery is not just gonna combust So it's hard to it's hard to say I mean like You know what I'm gonna text my guy. I'm gonna have him bring my clear battery in here And that way I can show you guys but It's it's just They're safe. It's a safe that we wouldn't produce them if because you know how much of the liability insurance We have to carry the manufacturer these things and we wouldn't put ourselves in a predicament to where we'd have to even think about using that So like us as a manufacturer think that way. I can't speak for all manufacturers Um, but they are safe. I think the the most The most issue with them is people not understanding how they work and maybe pushing them too hard
Or using the wrong charging application, you know, because the algorithms the thing let assets like it hot and fast AGMs like it low and slow lithium like it more of like a hot and slow. It's a weird combination of it But like if you hook up a charger that's specific for a let acid battery onto a lithium battery You're putting yourself in a in a dangerous situation, you know So that's where it really comes to like how you use it is the battery itself. Okay. Absolutely And Tim Ogleves Tim Ogleves a friend of the shows. He's an avid fisherman. I've been doing it for a very long time but like I just want to keep it You're talking about your bow is So many people have watched the lion media for so long I mean you watched and lithium you're going to put it in your car or your boat and the first chance to have it kind of blow up And that's what we all think so you're selling a battery that's going to blow our boat up right
Every time No, it's it's absolutely legitimate question every single person has this question because of the fact That the lion media has just worn this down on our every fire every major fire you see in America was caused by a lithium battery Which is from the truth It's it's very isolated and like Tim you weren't obviously with us in the beginning to show but But went through this and he explained these are the batteries that are in your Your cell phone and your camera and your in your electric drill And you left it plugged in in the wall for six Six weeks or six months and the thing you can't handle that but you're talking We're talking Apple's oranges and eggs here. It's just you're totally different things and these batteries are super safe
I mean those ear buds that you guys put in your ears those all have lithium batteries in it, but you don't think twice about that You know that thing you got your pocket that's glued to you 24-7 that's a lithium battery those blow up on airplanes So you know what I mean like that it's everywhere you go. It doesn't doesn't matter It really comes down to how they're how they're maintained with how they're the safety on them and other than that like charging cycles and all that stuff Charge it use it charge it use it charge it lithium loves to be charged. So anything you have lithium when you're done using it charge it up fully to be ready to use it the next time And it's all about the quality of manufacturing correct Absolutely 100% like we talked about earlier you know soldering connections together with that kind of amperage just it's very sketchy Um, that's why we laser weld everything. I mean it's he's gonna go grab her right now. I'm gonna show you guys you guys are gonna It's gonna blow it in mine What did you say have you heard of any boat insurance companies pushing back on coverage if lithium batteries on the boat
Man it's hard to because in the in the vast fishing industry it's 100% just lithium that's all it is it's a 100% lithium so Ever since I started serving cut water can cocktails to my guests Hey, hi, how are you yeah going through I'm going from host to hero Thanks to cut water I can make real perfectly mixed cocktails in seconds It's as simple as garnishing it last cracking my can of cut water open and pouring it over ice Cut water real cocktails perfectly mixed copyright 2025 cut water spirit San Diego, California enjoy responsibly All right here we go All right, let's see this full screen here it is So this is my 12 volt battery So inside of our 12 volts everybody you get a heater. So this is a built-in heater. No extra cost everybody else charges for that Um, as you can see all of our connections
Are put together and bolted with our TV with the white stuff on it This is our BMS for our 12 volts. It's not as big as our 48 and 36 This is our active balancer Just like the just like the golf carts And then on the very top are our bluetooth modules And the bluetooth modules allow us to be able to access it within 30 feet of being inside of it So that you can look at it and you can see individual cells You can see all that stuff But if you look closely you see that the square right here. This is our heater And then you got those two white wires They're coming right here That goes to the back and that's what heats the battery So lithium hits the cold But loves the heat a lot of people are like what about overheating It's not an issue lithium loves the heat But like if you watch the news You see all these Teslas on the side of the road in Alaska just on the side of the road is because the batteries are freezing
That's going to cause damage to your battery that's going to you know not do well if you live in Alaska How do you recommend not driving a fully electric car It's dangerous So Mike Lewis You read that question that he has right here. How do you keep them from swelling? Maintenance that's with that's balancing that's how it works. That's why the active balance is in there Um 100% we actually use the lipo 4 Mike Lewis. So it's a lipo 4. It's not a lipo And the lipo 4 is just a different kind of chemical makeup inside the battery And um it's going to get you it's just a better quality Basically It's not like when you compare like I saw a comment about like RC cars like that's a totally different That's not even the same chemical makeup as as this But it's the same concept you know like RC our cj industry they have battery balancers They have triple chargers they have all that stuff you just got to how cold is too cold 30 degrees is too cold yep
12 volt ampere hours. I've got 150 and 100 700 ampere hour. What are you running dude? That's crazy battery bank at my mexico surfshack. I need about 700 amps That's a lot damn That's a lot. I would I would suggest going to a different application I would make it from 12 to like 36 or 48 and then you can tie a couple of bigger batteries in At a hundred amp And do it that way to be honest. I'm assuming it's solar if it's a surfshack So And a lot of the people down here where I live are working off a Off of the solar and the batteries charging and There's a ton of that down here. I've got all kinds of solar controllers over here In the shop we're actually working on doing some Some solar stuff We have the big panels. We have the panels on the roof. We actually charge all of our batteries from the sun
You talk about sticking to the man But we have all that we have the inverters. We have everything that you need It's just how much do you want to pay? How much power do you want? That's what it comes down to Well, we learned a ton about batteries today. That's for sure a lot of stuff. I didn't know And give Dan a call after the show. He says he wants to talk to you about the batteries Yeah, I got you. Yeah, number That is the leaf if not I'll text it. Yeah. I'll find it. Yeah, if not text. Yeah When you're doing what you're doing You want to charge them after every use mic That's very important. We have what's called ABC's of lithium anytime. It's your off the water Or you're done using it you put it directly on the charger that way it allows it to come all the way back up And then because most lithium batteries like ours has a active balancer every other battery on the market only balances at the end of the charge
So if you don't charge it regularly, you're going to get out of balance a lot faster What's yswg You're sorry I just put that together I was like is that the acronym for something I don't know about in the battery world? Right where you are right now You mean yep glad to be here Well, we're happy to have you and I learned a ton about batteries that That clear battery that is so cool I have no idea what was going on inside that battery Yeah, I said it more time Look at that Look at that case I can hook this up to anything and it'll work right now This is a fully functional lithium battery. We just put it in a clear case So we can show people and educate people on how they're made Cool stuff And In finishing up can you go over what is included in the boat box by z care? Absolutely. So
The z care boat box comes with three of our solutions It comes with our multi-purpose cleaner the multi-purpose cleaner It's going to be what cleans your vinyl. It's going to clean your seats It's going to clean your seed decking. It's going to clean your hole. It's going to clean your fiber glass It's going to clean your bimini top So you don't have to go by five different bottles to clean your boat anymore one bottle does it all And then you also get our hard water remover Which I did concrete confirmed that it will cut through salt water No problem So you're good to go there talking my chemist. I'm like, hey, man. I'm going to be in a little bit of a pickle here So 100% he goes no problem whatsoever. It's actually a salt-based formula. So it actually just Cancels it out So you get the hard water remover and then you also get your nano shield which is a nano ceramic coating specifically designed for your Forward-facing sonar if you're if you're a bass angler or any kind of your simrad or any kind of your Consul electronics on your boat that has a screen that allows your screen to be hydrophobic Which allows the water to bead off of the screen without leaving water debars behind
And it's good on your sunglasses too Yeah, I put the QR code back up there if you guys want to get any of the Z care product You could check it out here Although we are talking about batteries. I still can't get over how bitch in this Z care products are and how spectacular It was of you to come on here on Wednesday and explain to all of us and then the people that already got the product or just loving it And I know the rest you are expecting your product in the next day or two Jump on there grab that product you can get some Right here 20% off with that QR code or if you don't want to use the QR code you simply enter the code Uh WG 20 that throws me off every time because I'm so used to YSWG, but that's my phone. It's okay. We can handle it Yeah, okay, you change it. I'll go in the app and I'll let you guys all know that it's YSWG 20
Perfect All right, you're in the app to get that access Absolutely, and then is there any any more More question. Oh, I know rick mower. Can you if there is a or no not rick Tim all go be back to the problems with lithium again Can you put it out with a fire extinguisher see everybody thinks these things explode so Okay, so basic the QR real quick rick the qr discount code is Infinite you can use it every time you check out um So Fire extinguisher question So Uh-oh, we lost them we lost you both Bring them back on come back in here bow. We got to get this fire extinguisher question answered
And it and it is honest gang These things we've all been taught that all they do is explode which is he's explained it to us like 10 different ways but If they do explode I Guess we have to know how to put them out, but I don't think they're gonna explode Tim, but I think uh If he comes back on here, if bow comes in here in a second, we'll keep it running here for a few seconds if anybody has any You Water doesn't put them out So if your fire extinguisher is full of water that ain't gonna work But then again, I don't know any extinguishers that are full of water No, that's Tim There's nothing to be sorry about I've told I told him many times Everybody's gonna think these things You're doing the greatest for me that you could possibly do because this is the big
Thing that I told him before we went live We got to answer these questions about these fire these batteries causing fires and blowing up Because we're all we've been taught by the lion media That Lithium is a fire hazard Lithium blows up Lithium causes fires But every bass boat in America's hey dead can't sports day. Welcome to the show This Isn't problem that we have to address because Lithium doesn't cause fires Here we go back I think my computer's dying. I have no idea And no answer this fire extinguisher question. Yeah, so the fire extinguisher There's only one specific extinguisher that puts out fires and it's a foam Whatever you do do not put water on it. It will accelerate it. It's actually an accelerant for Lithium So that's why we put it inside of our golf car batteries because old folks that are just vacationing for six months
Are not going to have anything like that at their house So we just implemented it into our golf car batteries But there is a specific fire extinguisher that you need to buy to put out a lithium fire Or let her burn to the ground But let's use a ladder And something that I thought was really interesting And now that he's on here dead can't sports Dave you guys working together because your product cleans dead can't the bags, right? That boy's hard to get on the phone Dave I believe me. I know Believe me. I know but he's here right now so we can talk to him If you can talk to him seeing you But yeah, anybody using the z care product to clean the dead can't sports kill bags and you know Every single person that's on the show today already owns at least one If not two or three of the dead can't sports product and Dave fair and stands behind your product He loves your product So we all got to jump on the bandwagon and get some of this in our hands, right?
Yeah, I mean It's it's your loss if you don't kind of deal I mean like it's just it's it's it's so it's an absolutely wonderful product We've put a lot of time and effort into it It's eco-friendly man. So like especially like people that are all about saving the saving the ocean and the wildlife and stuff like that Like you can wash your boat and spray it right back into the ocean and it won't affect the ecosystem at all Just it's an amazing product it it cleans doesn't sanitize Um, but it does what it's supposed to do and it does what it's marketed to do guaranteed Absolutely, I'm super stoked to have you on here I use the product that to show I've used it at my house and we're using it every day and That's what makes it so cool like all the other sponsors that we have on our show. We use everybody's product. I can't Tell you uh, I think that the oh there you go Here's that window again for those of you that haven't seen the glass at Lisa's house look at that the dogs
and now watch this kind of Crazy right what a difference doesn't get much realer than that But everything every product we talk about Pro Mar and all the great products that they supply cap day with and all of our members are fishing with their products Akuma rot and reels that You won't find any other rot and reel on my boat and then uh Z care This is the best cleaning product I've ever seen in my life. I want to get more involved with the battery part of this We'll work on that later on down the line. We'll talk about it, but This We all got a motor. We all got an outboard. We all have an inboard. We all have an engine room or something that this Multi-purpose cleaner just Wipes the oil out. It's just absolutely incredible and the cally look at that The cally of the engine that's then what is that product that's the That's the hard water remover. I did also find out
I heard from my a little bird that in the yacht community a big brass bell is a sign of status. Is that accurate? Yep, well my z cow will clean all of that Bronzey turquoisey stuff off that bell Okay, it cleans it cleans stainless it'll it'll clean all that stuff So we don't have to use the bright boy. We can actually use something that works That's right. Wow. That's right. We just did a commercial with this video today That's That's the stain remover. He spilled power aid in the seat of his car just to show I said you don't have to do that man. Like if you're not gonna lose your job. It's okay And he's like no dude. I got faith and I'm like send it But we actually had a a big carpet that we We put a bunch of coffee on and we just sprayed it with the oops and the part that we sprayed it just disappear
It was amazing It's just an amazing product. It really is and the oops is an odor eliminator So like if you got stinky shoes or if you've got like a dog that can't make it outside because of their age And they have accidents in the house. Not only are you cleaning up the stain. You're also eliminating the odor as well You could use it to detail. That's a Z care. You can use that to detail your truck Your car doesn't matter and it doesn't it like it doesn't pull out of the plastic like Armor all does like armor all actually pulls the color out of plastic It strips it and that's because of that real dark black look on I call you guys as fender wheels and tires and stuff And that's why everybody's fender wheels fender wheels look gray after a year is because all the colors gone right you can't fix that But it works works great now to see this is my guys out there making me detail his truck and filming me do it work jerk But yeah, this is the nano this stuff is crazy man. Those the NBT actually reached out to me and I reached out to them
We're getting ready to do some some stuff with them too Nice it works. It works All right gang. Well, thank you very much bow for explaining to me a little bit more about the batteries and Through me and Tim Olga V are we feel pretty proud now that our batteries aren't gonna start on fire Yeah, then you too, Mike Where do you go? Yeah, Tim there is don't worry Tim. I got you buddy All right, well, we'll check it all out order the zcare products cure our codes up on the screen We'll talk about these batteries some more. We'll bring bow back in like I told we brought them in day after the show It's not really fair next month. We'll do another show with you boat and everybody can talk about how they used all the product to clean it I'll bring the old man on me next time. He'll be having his neck brace by then. Oh Perfect. All right. Well, he wasn't on the show today. We didn't answer anybody's questions. I guess he's busy boy today
He's busy boy today slacking off all right Okay, all right. We'll talk to you later buy everybody have a great weekend turn off the news like I say they're all lion Left-right middle their liars full speed lion to you don't listen to it Go outside do something cool the world a phenomenal place to be turn off the news And uh, I'll see you guys on Monday have a great weekend. Bye see you Or summer at Columbia dot com to spend more time outside and less time slathering on all illusion You're welcome Columbia engineered for whatever
