What I'm Looking Forward To In AI This April

0:00So, here's what I'm looking forward to in April. Let's discuss. Welcome to the most prolific AI marketing podcast out there, the inner nutshell podcast, the daily 10 minute podcast where I take out all of the techie talk around generative AI and focus on what the everyday person, content creator and marketer wants to hear. And I've only got 10 minutes so I can only focus on one subject. Today, as it's the first day of the month, it is the episode where I like to talk about what I'm looking forward to in said month. And of course, this month is April. So, happy April the first and don't worry, there's going to be everything here is real. There's no jokes. I've gone past those days of April fools jokes. So, this is actually real. I'm not going to make up some stuff. But then again, if I look at what I've said, what I'm looking forward to in February and March, if I said it again in April, you'd think I'm joking because I didn't do what I said in February

1:01and March. And that was YouTube. Putting out YouTube videos. I still haven't done it. Yes, I put out the fortnight fix episodes, but that's not why I mean. That's just me recording something and then uploading it so people can see it if they missed it. I'm talking actually putting together YouTube videos. Now, what I will say though is last month, that was one of the things I wanted to do and I was looking forward to in March, but I was moving house. So, because now I've moved house, I'm about to do it. Typical though, I've got the equipment. I like my studio space that I've created in my new house. But it's too echoey. That sound is awful. So, I need to work out either. Do I somehow sort out the echoes of this room, sort out this room to turn it into a studio and I'm watching loads of YouTube videos. And I don't think I'm going to do that because it's either too expensive or it's just going to take up too much time, especially that I can't guarantee

2:02it will work. Or do I just sort it out in post-production? And I think it might be a post-production job or if go to another room in the house where it's not as echoey. So, right now, me delivering this, I'm in the actual studio room. Very echoey, but I've had to change it in post-production. So, where else was I looking forward to in March? Announcements, I said I was looking forward to some big announcements that was happening. And there was quite a few things. The biggest one was actually not what was coming. It was what was being removed. And that was Sora. And Sora that made waves throughout, well throughout the whole of 2024. Everyone is excited about video. And then OpenAI, 2025, officially released it to everybody. And then it was kind of a flop. I'm not going to lie. It wasn't that great. And then 2026, they deleted it. But March did have some big announcements from mid-journey, from Antropic or Claude. OpenAI did release some stuff.

3:07Google was putting stuff out there. So, it was quite a lot of announcements. And the last thing I was looking forward to in March was delivering my 600th episode. Yes, I've done over 600 episodes now. That's why I say this is the most prolific AI market in podcast out there. Because I don't think anyone has done as many episodes so far as I have. So, it's just going from strength to strength. I enjoy doing this. Got so many ideas for the future. So, I'm looking forward to that. That should not just be for March. That should just be throughout anyway. But obviously, it was my 600th episode. So, I think come June or July, be my 700th episode by the end of the year. I'll be hitting about 900 episodes. So, looking forward to that. So, I'm looking forward to an April. Three things, and in no particular order. One, I bought a Mac Mini. Now, would I say this to certain friends they're like, you're about to do

4:10OpenClaw. It's like, oh, they get excited. Oh, you're about to do OpenClaw. Is that the reason why you bought it? Yes, if I'm being honest. Well, no. I bought it for two reasons. One, to try OpenClaw and second, because I, for a long time, has wanted a desktop computer where I can store and edit videos. So, as I said, well, I said this February March, but I want to do more videos. Right now, everything's on my laptop or saving things to the clouds. I also, because I travel a lot. I'm on my laptop. I don't want it all to be one device. So, I actually wanted to buy a second computer. I was looking at the Mac Mini's way before the whole OpenClaw thing happened, decided to eventually buy it. And in OpenClaw, I might try it as well. However, I also might use this to just really test some of the AI things and some of the things that I've got ideas for as well. So, I'm looking forward to playing around with that. We'll keep you updated. The second thing, which kind of not necessarily

5:10goes into the first thing, but is connected to do with playing around with stuff. And that's Claude co-work. So, Claude, generally, the Claude.ai, fantastic. I'm actually looking at specific feature that you've got called co-work, which in a nutshell, no pun intended. Next, you becomes a co-pilot to your desktop, so you're your laptop. It can go into folders, it can sort things out. So, what I'm doing now is I want to have a sit down, have a play, look at some use cases for it, and really work out what I like about it, what I don't like about it, and then what I can teach or the never episodes on. So, that's kind of what I'm doing. So, I'm always looking for use cases. So, use cases as well is going to be something I'm going to be doing this month. But I would say there's one other thing I'm looking forward to more than that. And that is, and the third thing, I am doing a two-day AI course. This is with the National Film and

6:14Television School and Amazon Prime. So, I'm doing a two-day AI course. It's going to be in Cardiff and London, and then I'm doing it again next month in Glasgow and Leeds. So, looking forward to delivering that because right now, the longest AI course I do is over one day. I've delivered social media, digital marketing courses, etc, over two days. Well, I've done a digital marketing course for over five days before. But I've not done a whole two days of AI, which will be a mixture of teaching, exercises, case studies, discussions, facilitating, all of these things. I'm looking forward to putting that together and be delivering it. So, I have to put that as my third thing. I've also got a few... I've got quite a lot of other training as well, but I'm looking forward to doing that, which will be the week of the

7:1613th, I believe, 13th of April. I will be doing that. Two days in Cardiff, two days in London. So, in a nutshell, they were the three things I'm looking forward to in April. Sitting on my Mac mini and testing it, seeing what work, seeing what doesn't, there's anything exciting that I'm doing or anything that I think people who could benefit from. Trust me, I'll be talking about it on the podcast. Also, playing with co-work. Again, anything that I find out, I'll be talking about on the podcast, and last is delivering a two-day AI course. And so, apart from that, I will be delivering on my Fortnitely Fix, which is actually tonight.
