This AI Meeting Assistant Records Without Ever Joining the Call as a Bot (Cool Tools 78)

Welcome to the most prolific AI marketing podcast out there in a nutshell. This is the daily 10 minute podcast where I take out all the techie talk around generative AI and focus on what the everyday person, content creator and marketer wants to hear. And I've only got 10 minutes, second only focus in one subject. And today it is week number 78 of call tools Tuesday. Yes, why I talk about free cool tools in the Tuesday and I've been doing this for 78 weeks. Actually more than that, but it's been branded call tools Tuesday for 78 weeks. And I've given a lot of tools over the last 78 weeks and today you're free new tools that actually these free tools are recommended to me, not by people who work for the companies

1:00and that's key. It's not by people who work for the companies. I don't have affiliation to any of these tools and I'm sharing in any of these tools. These are just free tools that's been recommended to me recently. And I wanted to just do a whole episode on just free tools that people have recommended to me. And the first one is called side long and it's s ID L O N G dot app. So side long dot app. And what this tool does is it looks like it collates or collects everything you learn. You can research what matters. You can write something worth reading and then publish it wherever your readers are. So I tell what to describe this as is one of those tools you just need to have a look because it's going to help you write something. It's going to help you research something. But then also it's going to optimize it for your readers and then it's going to send it to your readers. So yeah, I've not played around with this tool, but I want to try it.

2:01But sometimes I see tools that I think this looks really good. And before I go away and try it and then give you my opinion, sometimes I just say, you know what? Check it out yourself. If it does what it says on the tin, then this could be a very powerful tool. It's like taking some of the things that you do a lot in AI from creating content to research and et cetera, all in one place. So it looks like it's good if you have a newsletter. So if you've got like a weekly newsletter, it helps you with that. Or if you've got a blog, you still blog, it can help you with that. If you're writing a book is help, it helps for research. Also social media posts, they say post it harder with your whole library behind them. So it looks like you can upload everything and it can work out some of the best posts. So for example, I have for every episode and just to let you know,

3:06next week is free years doing this podcast. So I'm going to do episode next week on doing this for three years. So I've got 750 episodes close and I've got transcript to all of them. So I'll be able to upload it to this tool and turn every single one into social media posts. So that means I've got three years worth of social media posts if I posted every week day. So yeah, definitely I'm going to play around with this tool. And I have time. I'm going to play around with this tool. So it's called side long dot app. The second tool I want to talk about is a tool that I believe everybody should have or not necessarily this tool, but this type of tool everyone should have and that is an AI meeting assistant. Now it looks like this area is being split into.

4:06You've got the fireflies, the otters, the fathoms, which you invite to a meeting and it will record your call. You see yourself. It will have everyone in it. It will give you a summary. It will give you the transcript. You can ask questions, et cetera. Then you've got the granola stroke whisper area where you don't have to invite it to the call. And it can record your conversation, but it looks like it just records the audio of it. It records the audio and turns it into text. This here, what all I'm about to tell you is in the granola whisper world. So you can add this to a live meeting where it resume meets teams. And also in person conversation, you might have it on your laptop and it's just recording. And you don't have to ask it to join. Now the name of this tool is called over O L V A and the website is O L V A dot AI.

5:08And it's your bot free real time AI meeting assistant and it looks like it does everything live transcripts, text questions, Q and A that you can ask the AI bot as well. Live insights. So I often say to people, if you're going to use a tool at this, obviously let the person know that you might be recording it. But the everything I realize is that some people for safety reasons don't like then fathom and otter, et cetera, into their meetings, but they don't mind having tools like this to record it. So I always say have both, you know, I always will invite my fathom. That's the main one I use. But if I can't, I always say I always just record it on granola as well because it was just for me, obviously it helps me with my hand and not being able to write and type at that type of speed. So check this one out. Over O L V A, like I said, I've got granola whisper does the same thing.

6:09So this is a third one. But if you don't like granola, if you don't use granola, if you don't only use or pay for whisper, then you should give this one a try. The third tool is called jobseeker.com. Now, that's a good URL. But job seekers, they probably had it for a while. But what this does is it looks like it will help you create your CV, find relevant jobs, compose a cover letter and track your applications. So if you're applying for jobs, you can use their AI tool to help you, as I said, build a CV cover letter. And what it looks like it does is that say this is the job application. This is my normal CV, these are my qualifications. Can you pull out the things that could make me stand out and overcome? Because most people now are using AI for the filtering system for jobs. So I guess it's trying to help beat the AI. So it's AI versus AI, however it comes to getting the job.

7:09So this is what it does. It's called jobseeker. And the reason why I wanted to tell you about this one is because somebody recommended it to me because it really helped them. Well, get a job. That's the main reason why they got a job from it. So I wanted to let you guys know this one. Now, just to let you know my friend who told me this is in America. So I don't know how good this is for other countries. Just looking at it, it looks very American because it says resume rather than CV. So it looks very American. But again, give it a try and see if it works for you. So when in that shell, that year would have free call tools this week.
