1:01pictures of four of the six troops who were killed in a drone attack in Kuwait. They are U.S. Army Reserve soldiers, Captain Cody Quark, Sergeant First Class Nicola Moore, Sergeant First Class No Ateisions, and Sergeant Declan Cody. Sergeant Cody, just 20 years old. The Chief of the Army Reserve called in them fallen heroes who served fearlessly and selflessly in defense of the nation. We have team coverage from Washington and across the Middle East. Chief Foreign Corresponding in panel starts us off in Tel Aviv. Good morning, Ian. Yeah, good morning, Michael. Escalating attacks across the region from Iranian strikes against U.S. embassies and consulates to Israeli strikes in Lebanon with tens of thousands on the move there as the Middle East braitors for a week's long war. Overnight, Israel launching massive strikes in Tehran, targeting dozens of Iranian command centers and missile launchers. This as Secretary of Defense, PTEXF, saying we're just getting started, confirming the sinking of an Iranian warship. An American submarine sunk an Iranian warship

2:05that thought it was safe in international waters. Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo. And this morning, we're learning more about the American service members killed in that Iranian strike on the U.S. tactical operations center in Kuwait Sunday. Dependent identifying four of them as 35-year-old Captain Cody A. Cork, 42-year-old Sergeant First Class Noah L. T. Jens, 39-year-old, Sergeant First Class Nicole M. Amor, and Sergeant Declan J. Cody, just 20 years old. His family, saying in the statement, he was just a baby, adding he was so kind and so amazing. Iran ramping up its retaliatory strikes, the U.S. military base in Baghdad, camp victory, reportedly sustaining damage, and now U.S. embassies and consulates in the region in the crosshairs. Verified video showing an Iranian drone plunging into the U.S. consulates in Dubai, exploding in a parking lot nearby. The embassies in a man Jordan and re-ad Saudi Arabia

3:07also targeted. The U.S. and Israel also continuing their attacks on Iran. Senkham, now saying more than 50,000 American troops, 200 fighter jets, and two aircraft carriers and bombers, part of the mission. According to Secretary Hegseth, the U.S. will have complete control of the Iranian skies in less than a week. More and larger waves are coming. We are just getting started. We are accelerating, not decelerating. And terminally the joint chiefs, Duncan, saying there's enough firepower to outlast the enemy. We have sufficient precision munitions for the task at hand, both on the offense and defense. Tuesday, President Trump laying out what he considers his worst case scenario. The worst case would be we do this, and then somebody takes over who's as bad as the previous person, right? That could happen. We don't want that to happen. The death toll rising, more than 700 Iranians killed according to the Red Crescent.

4:08Thousands gathering at a mass burial for more than 150 girls. Iran says we're killed in a strike on an elementary school, depending on saying they're investigating. Israel expanding a broad new wave of strikes on Iran's infrastructure overnight and further into the war's new second front in Lebanon, targeting the Iranian-backed proxy Hezbollah. Our map rivers, they're on the scene. Multiple people were injured inside this hotel in a neighborhood not controlled by Hezbollah. In fact, it's surrounded by foreign embassies. The presidential palace is just a half-mile that way. Local officials tell me they believe it's a sign that Israel is emboldened to strike places they haven't before. American and Israeli warplanes going after Iran's missile launches, there's certainly been a notable decline in the number of alerts and attacks from Iran here in Israel. But people across the Middle East still on high alert as we enter day five of this war, Robin. All right, I thanks to you, Ian. Americans racing to get out of the Middle East, but struggling to find a way home with thousands of flights canceled and the U.S. government

5:08offering limited help. Our chief international correspondent James Longman is tracking the situation in northern Iraq. Good morning, James. Good morning, Robin. 11 countries have now been sucked into this war with embassies, oil infrastructure, and civilian targets in Iran's sites. And after some delay, the U.S. is now arranging charter flights for stranded Americans from three of those countries. This morning, with the war against Iran, raging spilling beyond its borders, thousands of Americans are believed to be stuck in the Middle East with no way out. With drones and missiles flying in every direction, skies are now too dangerous for most commercial flights with nearly 20,000 cancellations. The State Department initially urged those stranded to make their own way home. They now say they are actively securing military aircraft and charter flights for American citizens. It's a lot of different things here that we need to happen in order to move people, but it all starts by knowing that you're there. It all starts by knowing that where you are and how we can get a hold of you. Secretary of State Marco Rubio urging those seeking help overseas to call the department's hotline

6:10on Tuesday, that message saying, please do not rely on the U.S. government for assisted departure or evacuation at this time. There are currently no United States evacuation points. With weeks of military build-up in the region, now questions about an apparent lack of preparation. ABC News is Karen Travis pressing the president. Why wasn't there an evacuation plan and will you send planes to get people out? Well, because it happened all very quickly. Travel in the region crippled Odis Turner is in Doha, Qatar. How do you expect us to leave a country that air spaces or clothes? Like people are really stranded here. I really don't know what to do. The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem saying travel may be difficult and they even advised Americans there that they could leave by taxi or shuttle bus to Egypt. But if they do, their safety would not be guaranteed. We want Americans to be on American soil right now in an active war zone. Pastor Chris Elliott's daughter Riley had been on a trip to visit the holy sites in Israel. They are now forced to shelter in place. The scariest for me was trying to go to bed at night and

7:13then being like waking up to the sound of the sirens. The butlers were on a trip in Abu Dhabi when alerts rang out. Are we really standing here outside of this beautiful mosque looking up in the sky at these missiles who have been intercepted? Their group has evacuated to Dubai with their staying close to the airport, desperate yet hopeful for a way out. Everyone is just reaching out and just sometimes feel like grasping at straws. Sometimes it feels like maybe we're making some movement. Now there is said to be a new phone message when you call that number. It says the state department is committed in helping US citizens who want to leave the region to do so and then it asks scholars to stay on the line. But I've got to tell you we have tried multiple times to get through to that number. We have not had any success. Colleagues stateside they do seem to be able to get through. But if you're here in this region trying to call that number and it's not working, it must be very scary. Just our experience for the moment. Michael. Yeah, putting a lot of people in the scary situation there. James, thank you. We're going to turn now to the economic impact of the war.

8:14It's a wild ride for stocks yesterday to doubt plunging more than 1,000 points before recouping some of its losses. A little bit schooly, schooly, schooly, is here a studio with this and a little bit was in another big moving gas price this morning. A big move. Good morning, Michael. This is something that families will notice when they go to fill up. The gas body says the national average price for a gallon of gas is up about 25 cents just in the past couple of days. We're now looking at the average price per gallon between $3.17, $3.19. And these are just some of the biggest price hikes on record that we're seeing right now. They do expect prices to keep going up in the next couple of days and weeks if the war does not de-escalate another 25 cents as much as that. But what does this mean for overall inflation? Right, so gas prices have really been a bright spot in the economy. One of the places that had where prices had been falling over the past year, but now we have wiped out the drop in gas prices since President Trump returned an office. The president acknowledged that Americans could see higher oil prices, but this is not just about gas. When you think about rising fuel costs, that means that companies are paying more to transport

9:17goods, economists that we've been talking to say that we could start to see higher food costs in the next days or weeks if companies pass down those transport costs. Another place we could see prices go up pretty quickly is air fairs, both international and domestic flights. Yeah, you know, the White House, their promising naval escorts and an insurance to oil and gas tankers going through the straight of her moves. Yeah, the White House wants to get that oil moving again in that critical oil passageway. So right now the president is saying that the navy will provide those escorts if necessary. They are also offering to give insurance from a fund that is backed by the U.S. government to shipping companies to try to incentivize them to get that oil moving. But shipping companies still might not want to take that risk. They do not want to put their cargo and their crew in safety's harm if they think that it's a risk. We're not sounding movement yet. Exactly. Those ships are still solid. It's basically right now a parking lot in the straight of her moves. That oil is just not moving. The longer that goes on, the higher prices could go. Look at the magic. You're a crew on that ship and they're saying, we'll go. I don't feel safe. That's very hard to get people to live there. It's for oil.

10:21Thank you, Elizabeth. Let's go to the White House now. We're president and Trump and his team have been offering shifting explanations for why he launched the world with the Ron Howard Land. Senior political correspondent Rachel Scott has the latest on that. Good morning, Rachel. George, good morning to you. You have five days into this conflict and the White House is still offering contradictory and conflicting statements on why exactly the U.S. launched strikes into Iran. President Trump and the Oval Office insisting the U.S. struck Iran at his direction, not because of Israel. Mr. President, did Israel force your hand to launch these strikes against Iran? Did Netanyahu pull the United States into this war? No, I might have forced their hand. You see, we were having negotiations with these lunatics and it was my opinion that they were going to attack first. But those words contradicting his own Secretary of State, who just 24 hours earlier said the U.S. acted because Israel was going to attack Iran first and set off a chain reaction. We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action. We knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces and we knew that if we didn't preemptively go after them before

11:25they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties. Amid all the confusion, Rubio pummeled with questions on Capitol Hill attempting to walk it back. The bottom line is this. We, the president's determined we were not going to get hit first. It's that simple, guys. But some lawmakers already raised in concerns. I find it very disturbing that we are committing this nation to war based upon a decision by even though a staunch ally. And I'm a supporter of Israel. But I don't think anybody should drive our decision to go to war, but the interests of the United States. The White House has now offered several justifications for the operation. The president claiming Iran posed an imminent threat, despite American intelligence saying the country was nearly a decade away from developing missiles capable of hitting the U.S. And after the president vowed not to drag the U.S. into any foreign conflicts, he hasn't ruled out putting troops on the ground. So in just a few hours, the Senate will vote on whether to advance a war powers resolution that would require the president to get approval from Congress first before any further military action in Iran,

12:27but look the bottom line here, George. This is very unlikely to become law. It is. Okay, but we also know there were key election primaries last night, especially in Texas. Yeah, all eyes on Texas, George and Texas Senate Republicans are now headed to a run-off. Senator John Corden has held the seat for more than 20 years. He's facing attorney general Kim Paxson in a very close race. It has become the most expensive Senate primary race in history about $100 million in that race. Whoever wins will go on to face the Democratic state representative James Talleriko. He defeated liberal firebrand Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett. Talleriko is emphasizing unity, really trying to appeal to moderates. Democrats have not won a state right race. They're in Texas in decades, but Republicans know they do have a fight on their hands, George. You know, this may be competitive. Okay, Rachel, thanks very much, Robyn. Okay, George. Now, the Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Knome, grilled on Capitol Hill after the deadly scenes in Minneapolis, which included, of course, a death of Renee Good, an Alex Freddie, and immigration rates all across the country. Jail Bryan has the latest. This morning, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Knome, expected back in the hot seat again

13:31after a bipartisan grilling from Senate lawmakers. I'm saying, Miss Knome, that time after time, after time, I've been disappointed. Democrats pushing Knome to apologize for suggesting both Alex Freddie and Renee Good, American citizens, killed by immigration agents in Minneapolis, were domestic terrorists. Knome did not apologize, but offered her condolences. How did you think that calling them domestic terrorists at that scene, was somehow going to calm the situation? You know, Senator, we are working in those situations where there's a tragic loss of life and that there is something that our agents are involved in that we continue to deliver information. Is it so hard to say you were wrong? We continue as these investigations continue to go. We will, I absolutely strive to provide a factual information. Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy, asking about the 220 million in taxpayer dollars spent on TV ads, starring Knome. One thing, Senator, I think, would be helpful to know is how effective that communications has been. That, well, well, well,

14:35effective in your name or recognition. In a stunning eight minutes North Carolina Republican, Tom Tillis, who's called for Knome to resign, blasting the secretary over what he calls a failure of leadership. It's a disaster. Under your leadership, Ms. Knome, a disaster. What we've seen is innocent people getting detained that turn out our American citizens. And worth pointing out, Nome is another hearing again in the House today. Remember, her department, Homeland Security, is still technically shut down. It's funding his laps for a third week now. Democrats holding firm blocking that funding, demanding reforms to ice. Republicans have said that these hostilities with Iran have created another layer of urgency to get that agency funded, guys. Okay, Jay, thanks very much. And coming up, Sam, you got a dramatic rescue code on camera. So here's a part of the story, George. A 19-year-old is in her truck, trapped upside down in dark cold water, with just a small air pocket to survive. She doesn't have time to call for help. So how does she get help? We'll tell you the story. We're glad that she did get the help that she needed. And Rebecca Jarvis would aboard the new Disney cruise ship,

And the father of the student accused of killing four people and wounding nine others at a high school in Georgia in 2024 has been found guilty of all 29 charges he faced, including second-degree murder. Prosecutors say Colin Gray gave his son the guns that he used in that deadly shooting. His son has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial. And there's some remarkable video here. You have to see it's out of Florida. It shows the moment that an officer's body camera stopped a bullet aimed straight at his heart.

18:44The deputy is recovering. After being shot twice Monday, he was investigating a salt call. The camera mounted on his chest stopped that third bullet. He's expected to make a full recovery. And an intergenerational act of kindness at the ballpark here at a spring training game in Florida. Fowl ball goes into the stands. Older guy tries to get it but he falls over the seats. Little kid goes into grab it. The older man is walking away but there's the little kids saying, hey man you were trying for it first. And I just want to point out with you tons of stories about older people who take those kids it's nice to see that it is. It is. It's great. The team to sign a ball and give the debt. Yeah, it's higher blue jays. Somebody to get a bag of ice and give the debt guy who fell away. All right, thank you. We're going to go now to the dramatic rescue of a young woman in Ohio who's truck slipped off a snowy road crashing upside down in a river. It was all caught on camera and Sam, you have the story for it. So with all that happening, Michael, how do you call for help? I don't have an Apple watch so I didn't know this. If you have one,

19:45there's an emergency crash detection system in the watch and it was a lifesaver here for this young woman who would not have had time to call for help while she was fighting for her life. This morning, dramatic body camera video capturing a desperate race against time to rescue a 19 year old trapped in her overturned vehicle in freezing water rising around her. Please go how far is the water? I know it. I had my head to barely out. Andy Burns was driving home from work Sunday night when she lost control on a slick snowy road plummeting 15 feet down a ravine and crashing into the cold dark little Miami River. I was terrifying. It was completely black out, pitch black. I didn't think that anybody could hear me or knew what happened and I just was started to freak out. Burns unable to escape choking on water but able to find a small pocket of air her Apple watch crash detection calling 911. Please help me. They're coming. They're coming to

20:51try to stay calm. Firefighters and sheriff deputies arriving on the scene and jumping into the water racing to free her. Grab my hand. Grab my hand. Grab both my hands. Just the way that the car went in and flipped upside down altogether. That's a very very dangerous car accident wreck. What really, really helped her was her being able to stay awake and find that air pocket and for her staying calm is very impressive. With the car just moments from filling up and just a few inches of that air pocket left, Burns was finally pulled from the truck. Grab my hand. Brightened and freezing, she's able to walk away with only bruises. Just overall surviving that car accident of one being in the waters is very very very lucky very fortunate. God was definitely on her side for that. And you guys did great work. Andy plans to become an ENT in Claremont County soon. She's making those plans with Central Joint Fire EMS District at that reunion where she got to thank everybody. Now, not all smartwatches have emergency settings but if you go to your watch

Singapore is one of the most multicultural cities in the world. This is one of the busiest

23:00ports in the world and now it has a new addition. Disney Adventure and there's a lot of something for everyone. Moana toy story and of course Marvel and Josh Demaro gave us an inside look. Wow, I'm just blown away by the scope and scale of all of this. Yeah, the Imagineers had a holding palette to play with on this ship from kind of a traditional splash pad to a roller coaster. Over 10,000 miles away from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. A new adventure sets sail in Singapore. I mean, this street we're sitting on. You would not know that we're inside of a cruise ship right now. This is one of my favorite spaces in the ship. This is San Francisco from Big Hero 6. There are dozens of these stories around the whole cruise ship. Disney Adventure, the eighth and largest in Disney cruise lines fleet. The ship has been a long time coming. We start with a really

24:05bold vision on a product that we want to create. The Imagineers immediately get to work and here it is now. It was amazing to see the Disney adventure come into the port last night just a spectacle. Approximately 6,700 passengers will board for three or four night atineraries at sea with seven themed areas across the 1100 foot vessel. Families are immersed into the very Disney magic fans love. People know Disney all over the world and yet it has this sort of uniquely American center. It's where it got its start. How do you think of that as this company grow is in the future and really expands in areas that have never been touched by Disney before? Yeah, I think the Disney brand and the stories that we tell are both timeless and global in nature. They translate to all parts of the world. Anytime we build a new experience or we bring a ship to a new part of the world,

25:07we're always making sure that it is authentic to everything that we represent as a brand. For incoming CEO Josh Demaro, his connection to Asia brings him back to the early 2000s when he worked in Hong Kong Disneyland. I brought my family here. We stayed here for three or four years. So this is a very special part of the world for me. I love everything about it. I love the people. I love the culture. I love the food. I love to explore this part of the world. I have read that you tell your kids just say yes. And I love that advice. What are you saying yes to right now in life? Well, my kids do hear this a lot. And essentially what I'm telling my kids when I tell them that is be curious. Go out into the world and find connections. Take it all in. It's been a couple weeks since your announced is the next CEO of the Walt Disney Company. How are you feeling? What are you most excited about? Well, I'm feeling very good.

26:10What an honor it is to lead this company that is so special to the world. I'm humbled by the opportunity. I think I'm very lucky that Bob Eiger has left this company in such an incredible place. One of the things that I've been lucky enough to do is lead businesses where we took big swings and risks. We held on to what was so special about the company, but weren't afraid of trying new things, new ambitious things like bringing a ship to Singapore for example. I read that you wanted to be a sculptor. So that's true. That is true. You're going way back Rebecca, but that is in fact true. And here you are having molded this incredible thing. Well, I think that's actually a pretty good analogy, sculpting and molding and what we do at the Walt Disney Company. You start with a bold vision of what you want to bring to the world. You act with discipline. You are patient to make sure that the product you're bringing to bear

27:14is something that you're proud of. And ultimately you end up with something magnificent and that's certainly the case here with the Disney adventure. The Imagineers making a big wave in Singapore with two firsts for a Disney cruise, a Marvel themed roller coaster and a castle. How does it feel to see it all come together? Each time we do one of these like this moment before you set sail for the first cruise is exciting because you have as the leader or as an Imagineer who may have worked on this project, seen all the hard work that's gone into it. And then here we are. It's you know like on perfect display ready for our guests. So it's exciting. I'm proud of this team. And here we are and that castle by the way the Imagineers brought this three story castle to life. It rises up from the middle of the boat inside of the courtyard. It's a very magical experience. And by the way speaking of experiences, I did say yes to my own roller coaster experience, but I'm leaving that for a little private affair.

28:20It's really not so much for your eyes and ears, but just for my personal enjoyment. Oh my god. You can't go to the chase. I can't mention it if you're not going to show it with that. Put the helmet cam on. Let's go. Hey, but Rebecca, tell us about the christening about an hour ago. Oh my goodness. So Robert Downey Jr. Here on hand, Iron Man himself. He is now the de facto godfather of adventure. And it was quite the experience rising up from the smoke really exactly how you would expect such a spectacular moment. What will be spectacular voyages to come. And there is just so much excitement here on the ground in Singapore. All these kids with their Disney gear, you can feel the excitement and and see really really great things ahead. Well, hopefully we can reach out to somebody. Overnight, Israel launching massive strikes in Tehran targeting dozens of Iranian command centres and missile launches. This as Secretary of Defense, PTEXF, confirming the sinking of an Iranian warship. An American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters. Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo. And this morning, we're learning more about the American service members killed in that Iranian strike on a US tactical operation center in Kuwait

Over night, the US and Israel renewing their attacks on Iran, we thank them, not saying more than 50,000 American troops are in the region. But Iran, also firing more drones at Gulf nations, with little signs that capacity to attack

There are new security concerns after Iranian clerics issued a call to Muslims worldwide to avenge the death of Iran's Supreme Leader. Our chief Justice Corresponder Pierre Thomas has the latest on that for us. Good morning to you, Pierre. Robin, good morning. Over night, US intelligence and law enforcement officials were locking in. And those two fought was issued by two Iranian clerics calling on Muslims everywhere to attack the US and Israel to avenge the killing of the Supreme Leader. In response, US Homeland Security officials have issued a critical incident report to the nation's police, warning that the fought was will heighten the threat from violent extremists here at home. Authorities are worried about everything from unstable people set off by current events to sympathizers of the Iranian regime. And one official telling me last night, that US law enforcement is actively looking for evidence of sleeper sales. Their increasing signs of just how seriously authorities are taking the threat. The secret service in DC police now banning large commercial trucks and vans

37:04from driving the streets parallel to the White House and the vice president's residence. The secret service is also closed Lafayette Park and the ellipse near the White House. And the National Guard has increased patrols here in DC in a show of force. Michael. And the threat is real, Pierre. Thank you so much. We're going to turn now to the economic impact of the war. Let me show you this back and a little bit. Tell us about another big move in gas prices. You know, Michael, these are some of the biggest daily price spikes for gas on record. So gas body says the national average for a gallon of gas surge 13 cents overnight to $3.19. Now, at 25 cents just in the past 48 hours and they do expect prices could go up another 25 cents in the next couple of weeks. If this war does not de-escalate and oil prices keep going up, we are not just talking about prices at the pump here. Economists we've talked with say within days or weeks, we could see prices for some other goods, including food go up because of those higher transportation and fuel costs, too, guys. Yeah, it's not limited just a gas. And there is a big impact on those energy prices. Sorry, Elizabeth, thank you.

39:06about her pregnancy and the genetic condition that made it high risk. I do indeed. So the wife of pop star Justin Bieber has revealed on a podcast that her pregnancy was a surprise and that because that was because her doctor told her to hold off while they had assessed a genetic condition that could have made having a baby very difficult for her. Take a look at this. This morning, Haley Bieber opening up about a genetic condition she was born with that could have put her at a higher risk for miscarriage. The 29 year old who gave birth to baby boy Jack Blues with husband Justin Bieber in August of 2025, revealing on the GMD podcast, which is co-hosted by her OBGYN Dr. Tais Ali Abadi that she was born with a moderate uterine septum. So I had like a septum in my uterus and Dr. Aikip saying, well, we need to look at this and keep an eye on it before you get pregnant because it could potentially be an issue. I don't really know. We got to see

40:06I might have to give you like a small surgery for it. Not sure. And I was like, okay, well, I'm not thinking about getting pregnant right now. So we'll just, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. And then I magically got pregnant. A uterine septum is an abnormality where the uterus is partially divided by a wall of tissue. It affects about 2% of women of reproductive age and is associated with miscarriages, preterm birth and other complications. And the worst part, many women are asymptomatic. Yours was moderate. And so the risk for her was about maybe 25 to 40% risk of miscarriage. And a 10 to 20% risk of preterm delivery. Which I think was like our bigger scare. Scare because we realized like as the baby was growing like the septum, it was you know, expanding. Everything was opening and doing what it needed to do. You can have many risks associated with it. And that's why it's important to diagnose these things early before your patient's

41:09get pregnant. I think it should be mandatory for all women to have a pelvic ultrasound at least at the least before they start trying for pregnancy. So Haley has been so open about many of her health battles, including having a mini stroke when she was 25, but having a small hole in her heart when she was born that never closed up. Today she and baby Jack though are doing well. And that little guy is turning to this summer. We're so appreciative of how candid she is. It really does help so many people to talk about. Yeah. And um, yeah, I'm glad she's okay. And in something else, we had a picture layer. We didn't get the chance to go to your picture. We didn't get to what this and I'm going to read now. 43:15if they get it. You know, it, it feels like I'm playing. So you said in your head, you're playing on the fourth player. I just never get in. Are you tapping the desk? Are you, do you know the questions? Are you in with the writers? Yes, I see the scripts early because it's hard to pronounce this stuff. I need the time. I need the time. So tell us about these all stars that are coming up. You're alluded to. We've got a great cast of people that are coming up and being a part of celebrity jeopardy this year. 54:31Jesse was here and now to have you. Thank you. So what did you think when you first saw this script? I thought it was completely original. I don't know that I was able to see everything that is on the screen right now. It is a visual extravaganza. I thought it was really eccentric. And I thought Mary Shelley. And Ida. And who is this bride character? And then, of course, I got to play this amazing scientist. So I loved the script and I thought it was really original and ambitious. We did a read through at the beginning where we had everybody there, which is unusual in movies. You know, it was good to do that. And there, Jesse was doing this incredible characterization with the voices and the accents and the romance really came through in the reading. So that's what Christian spoke to that about the romance between the two of them. Let's talk about your character because we've seen you.

55:31We've been blessed to see you with many different roles, but never as a mad scientist. Well, I'm not really mad. I'm a little eccentric, a little on the edge. All right. No, Maggie had a whole biography for this woman and that I was a scientist, sort of, more in the mainstream. And then I sort of went over on the edge when I started doing the work that I was doing, reinvigorating people, trying to reinvigorate people. I didn't do so well at that. But then, at the time of this film, I do do a very well. I do, I reinvigorate Jesse Buckley. She becomes the bride. Oh, well, let's take a look at a clip of the centric scientist. Here we go. Are you asking me to create to reinvigorate a bride for you? Yes. From the body of a dead woman? Yes. Jesus. I don't mean to be disrespectful.

56:34Is this about sex, Frank? Doctor, this is about loneliness. Do you have any experience with it? For me, it's acne. Wow. He's just looking for love? Yeah, he's just looking for love. He's very tender and funny and attractive and, you know, he's very vulnerable. So, I think that's a lot of, for Dr. Euphronius who I played. I mean, I think she was, this was the moment of her life. This guy walks in and he is someone she always wanted to meet. But it's interesting because you, you know the monster guy. But it's you talking about how you felt when you read the script. Christian has his read on it. Jesse said, I don't, I didn't, couldn't figure out how I was going to do this. She said, it's like fearful of it. But she, she said, she liked that feeling. So, when you see something like this, what is your approach? How do you even figure out how to play the role? Yeah, I know that the being a little bit afraid, I guess it's just part of the creative spirit.

57:39There's something that's enticing about that, right? You don't know quite what it is. You don't know quite where it's going to go. Certainly I felt that. But then very quickly, especially in film, it's the director's medium. They've got it in their head if they're good. And she is a phenomenal director, Maggie Jolenehal. So, talking with her and then you slowly start to build an idea. Then, oh, they're going to make a wig. Oh, what would that be? And then you build that look with the artist who's making it. I had a little tooth thing happening. And then, of course, we had Sandy Powell, who is one of the most famous, amazing costume designers on the planet. She's very strong. She basically hands you the character when you walk into the fitting because that's who she is. She has lots and lots of ideas. The production design, design everything sort of contributes to feeling like immersed in it. And it's also a little bit like playing pretend. I don't know if you did that when you were... Oh, yeah.

58:39Okay, it's kind of like that, except on a larger scale. Like a scale, slightly. Yes, slightly. But I love how you say it's ambitious. It truly is. Can we switch gears a little bit? Sure. The FX show. The love story. Yes. That's an easy junior, Kellyn Bessette. You're... There's an annette that pops up early on. Sounds like you. Looks like you. Are you familiar? I had heard that this was happening. And so I... And a number of people mentioned it to me, so I watched the scene. Right. I felt very flattered by the actress. I thought she was wonderful. It didn't happen in real life. Oh! No! I met Carolyn Bessette once. Right, right. But no, it didn't happen that way. But, you know, I thought it was... I was flattered quite frankly. And so, yeah. But it didn't happen. Oh! No, in fact, it was supposed to be the premiere of Bugsy. And I was nine months pregnant. So I know for sure that wasn't me at that point. Oh, you got that. Well, no.

1:05:42This book proves that. What was your inspiration for it? I've always been fascinated by true crime. But more recently, I've found myself drawn to stories of those who are tucked into the orbit of dangerous men through no fault of their own. Bonded by their trauma, Beverly, Elsie and Margot, form an unlikely friendship and amateur sleuth team. These three women are in this club that no one wants to be a part of. Everyone asking, did she really know that's what everyone is thinking? Talk to us about how this question haunts the three of them. It is a propeller of their guilt. But actually, if you look into the real stories, you know, the real women, the real wives, the real girlfriends, 99.9% of the time, they don't know what's going on. Were there any real cases that you drew on inspiration from for some of these characters or plotlines? True crime fans will spot scattered throughout. References from Dennis Raider, he was married.

1:06:42John Wayne Gacy, he was married. Ted Bundy, he had a long-term girlfriend. Lots of these women have really bravely shared their accounts of what it was like to be with these men. While readers will come for the crime, they will stay for the friendship, forged by the novel's leading ladies. I would describe it as a sort of intelligent murder story that you can read by the pool. But I also hope that people come away feeling really void by the power of friendship. 1:07:44Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are bringing nothing but hit to their new lost Vegas residency. Give it up, give it up for Jimmy Jam. Terry Lewis. All right, Jimmy, I'm going to ask you why Vegas, why now? Well, we started off as musicians. Before we were songwriters and producers, we were musicians. Back in Minneapolis, back with Prince and all those guys. And we thought, at this point, what have we not done yet? We have never played our own catalog of songs live. So we thought nothing but hits and know where better to do it than lost Vegas. Yeah, I can agree with that. And Terry, for you, for people who come to the show, what can they expect from you? A lot of hits, a lot of fun. And you never know who's going to show up and do something. And you always say, you never know who's going to show. And that was my next thing, and it's the prize guess. Can you give us anybody? Well, sometimes the guests are surprised us to us. We did a show in Atlanta last year, kind of along the same lines. And when Rubin started singing one of Usher's songs, Usher was in the front row.

1:08:48Usher came up on stage and ended up singing the song. So that's the kind of thing that happens, you know. We know Usher. Usher was like, yo, he can't. No, he can't. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. That's right. Okay, Jimmy. So 40 years of hits. I mean, you guys have done it all. Yeah. I mean, it's collaboration with YouTube. It's just nothing sort of amazing to me. But 40 years of hits. Have there ever been something that's worked out? It's been a hit. And it's surprised you. Probably the biggest one that always comes to mind is Saturday Love. Surell and Alexander. Oh, yeah. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. So when I started singing that to Terry, I got embarrassed because I was like, oh, it's just kind of the days of the week. I felt really embarrassed about it. When we actually do it, we ended up doing the song. It was weird because we didn't even write a second verse to the song. Both Alex and Sherelle sing the same verse. And people said, oh, that's genius. And we were like, oh, it's just kind of laziness. That's what my favorite song is. It's great to work out. I think about you. That's right. There you go. There you go. Oh, you got it. So when you come to Vegas, now we're going to have you come and do that part.

1:09:48Yeah. That's right. Yeah. Come on now. Right. No, I would be surprised when we sitting in the front row. That's right. I'll stay in the front row. We're not thinking about it. You got it. You got it. Terry, you've worked with so many legendary artists. And maybe this is a hard question. I don't want to put you on a spot. But do any who stands out most to you? Does anybody stand out? I think they all stand out in their own way. They're all inspirational because that's where those songs come from. And we're just the vessel that they come through from God. And they are the inspiration for all of it. Like, these artists are amazing and we love them all. And when you talk about the way I will say, though, most impactful when we did Michael and Janet for Scream. Yeah. And Michael Jackson walked into the studio all quiet. And as soon as the music hit, he started, we said the Tasmanian devil. He started spinning. And Terry and I were like, fans. Scream like a little girl. Oh, my God. It was crazy. And when he was done, he just said, how was that? And we were like, yeah, yeah, he said, do you want me to do it again?

1:10:48We said, yeah, yeah, yeah, do it again. We couldn't even produce it. And we said, how'd you produce it? It's like, we just stayed out of the way. Let Michael do his thing. Well, I can only imagine. And, you know, you tell you say you were musicians before you got started. And I've always been amazed at this brotherhood and this teamwork that you've had for all these years. And when you're writing these songs, do you have particular artists in mind or you're just writing great music and it's going to find its way to the right artists? Well, usually we tailor everything per artist. So we don't really write something in advance. We have ideas in advance. And the great thing about it is we're fans of the artists that we work with. So we listen as a fan and then we can struck something in our minds as fans. But then we get with the artists and find out what they want to do. And we actually use all of that to press out something beautiful. And one more question for both of you, do you have a favorite song? You've done. It's an easy one. Yes, that's an easy one. So I'm going to start it optimistic by the sounds of blackness.

1:11:49I think if there was a time capsule that was put down on earth and the aliens came down, I don't know, a hundred years from now and opened it up. And as time capsule said, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the song they would play is optimistic. I think it would tell them everything they would need to know about us. Wow. And mine would be Open My Heart by Yolanda Adams. That song is one of those songs that people called me when they heard that song. They said they had to pull over on the side of the road and shed a tear and just cleanse themselves. So just that emotional, that visceral reaction, that's really important to me. You guys have done it all. Covered everything. I'm happy you're here on GMA. You can't wait to come up to Vegas sitting on the front row and watch you do your thing. Absolutely. And thank you.
