This is Good Morning America. Good morning America. What a sports week and we have ahead. We've got the open but we also have college football. So you know who we have to bring in. The FM Desmond Howard. He's going to join his live here before college game day. It's always great to have Desmond on. But first we have plenty of news to get to this morning including that hung jury. And the Lindsey Clancy murder case. The latest on the next steps for the prosecution. And of course the questions now surrounding a retrial.

1:01But first here Labor Day weekend. A busy morning out there on the roads and at the nation's airports as millions of Americans are on the move. Hoping to make the most of those last days of summer. Let's go to ABC's Morgan Norwood leading us off from Newark Airport. Morgan, good morning. Hey, good morning to you. And you can see things are definitely starting to pick up here at Newark. Millions of Americans taking to the roads and the skies trying to squeeze out the last few drops of summer. And look, if you were one of the ones heading to the airport on the roads and the skies again, you will not be alone. The FAA is expecting more than 280,000 flights over this holiday travel stretch with TSA expecting to screen more than 17 million people. I really want you to watch Monday because that's one of the busiest days as travelers start to head home. If you are driving today earlier is better. I mean, the sweet spot really is before 10 a.m. You want to try to avoid the roads between one and five this afternoon. That's when we start to see that traffic start to build. And the road trip definitely going to cost you more as well. The national average for gallon of gas is above $4. It's sitting right at 412. I just checked up nearly $1.00 from last Labor Day.

2:04Diesel just hit an all-time record as well at 585 a gallon. And if you're wondering where everyone is headed here. New York, Seattle, Orlando, and Boston topping triple A's list of domestic destination. So bottom line, whether you're flying or driving the best advice I can give you, give yourself some extra time, Gio. That's right. Give yourself extra time. We see the airport very busy right there behind you. Thank you so much, Morgan. As we know, so much of travel has to do with the weather. So let's get that holiday weekend outlook now from Somarthea to our Hayes, Morgan Morning. Hey, good morning. Yes. So for those of you who are hitting the road specifically traveling from DC, say hitting I-95 down to Atlanta, as you had through your Saturday, be prepared for afternoon thunderstorms to really just sweep from Kentucky all the way to the Carolinas. We could see some flash flooding on the roads, so be very mindful of that. Then tomorrow, this threat shifts farther south into the low country, places like Savannah, Georgia, Charleston, all in the bullseye for damaging wind, flash flooding, and some hail. And it's not just the storms we're dealing with. We've got to find ways to beat this heat. Heat alerts are in place today this afternoon. It could feel like anywhere from 100 to 110 degrees.

3:07Heat advisories in orange, extreme heat warnings in this pink color here. 102 is what it will feel like in Springfield, Missouri. And finally, take a look at the lower 48. This is your Labor Day forecast. You can see things look pretty nice in the Northeast. Mild, very stormy in the southeast. We are tracking some showers and storms in the Rockies out on the west coast on the cooler end in Northern California. A lot hotter down in SoCal. That's looked the forecast across the country. Rachel, back to you. All right, Samara. Thank you. We're going to turn now to the hung jury and the Lindsey Clancy murder case and the questions this morning surrounding a possible retrial, the judge declaring a mistrial on Friday. Clancy, of course, is charged in the killing of her three children. This case garnering national attention and sparking a debate about postpartum mental health. Let's get right to ABC Chief Investigative Correspondent Aaron Katerzki. He was at the courthouse last night and he joins us this morning with where it all stands. Good morning, Aaron. Good morning, Aaron. Good morning to you, Rachel. It was a headspinning and to a gut wrenching case that captured international interest and cast a light on maternal health after childbirth.

4:10A jury deadlocked. There was a last minute appeal and finally a mistrial. This morning, Lindsey Clancy is back at a state mental health hospital after the judge declared a mistrial when jurors could not break a days long impasse over whether to hold her criminally responsible for killing her three children or not guilty because she was suffering severe postpartum psychosis. It is with a heavy heart that we report we are unable to come to a unanimous decision and will not be able to after 40 hours of deliberations over seven days Clancy's attorney said there was one holdout. A man he claimed was refusing to follow the law and he urged the judge to step in. I would ask that you specifically direct their attention to proof beyond a reasonable doubt and re-instruct them on that forcefully. Did they yesterday? Yes. You did it yesterday. You did it soft. You didn't do it forcefully and I'm asking maybe what you want me to do. Get a brass band. The defense asked the state's highest court for an emergency ruling to get the holdout juror kicked off the case.

5:15I have before me an emergency request for relief by the petitioner Lindsey Clancy. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court declined to intervene and the judge granted the mistrial. I understood that you all gave everything you could and probably more than you thought you could. Jurors looked frustrated and defeated Clancy's supporters wearing pink in disbelief. I'm just in with regards to the results of the trial. Very sad. Very, very sad. It's now up to the district attorney to decide whether to retry Clancy. This case is not about a health care system or about how women are treated in it. This case, however, was about Lindsey Clancy and what she did on January 24th, 2023 and the cruel and calculated killing of three innocents. In the case of Kevin for everything the trial brought up, we heard from the district attorney the victims are the children and not your client. Can you respond to that? My client is well aware of the fact that her three kids who she loves, loves deal with other victims of this case.

6:24There's going to be hearing on September 29th to decide next steps and left unresolved for the moment is whether Clancy knew what she was doing when she strangled her children and tried to kill her son. Whether her psychosis was so severe that she couldn't resist the voice in her head telling her to do the unthinkable. So many questions here. Eric Trusky for us. Thank you so much. And stand by. Stay with us here because we want to discuss more and bring in ABC News legal contributor Bernarda Villalona as well. Bernarda, good morning to you. It's great to have you. So did the judge here really have much of a choice when the defense asked to remove that holdout juror? Look for the judge. It is an extraordinary measure to remove a sitting deliberating juror. Oh, who was the jury? The question for this judge ultimately was was there juror misconduct where this juror it was unable to follow the law? Or was it simply a disagreement as to how what the evidence is, what the facts are and how it applies to the law?

7:24So in terms of his decision, it was rather the latter part that it's just a part of jury deliberation. And let's just be clear. To be a holdout is not grounds to have a juror removed from the jury. Because in an end you don't want a judge interfering or interjecting into the jury deliberations. Yeah, what a case this has been, Aaron, you have been following every single detail here. So do we know anything about the specifics with the jurors? Like what do they agree on? What do they not agree on? Not really, Geo, because save for the beginning of deliberations, they didn't ask for anything. They didn't ask to see any evidence. They didn't ask for any testimony all week. They didn't ask for any clarification on the law. So we don't know what held them up. But the jury for person said in a note to the judge there was one holdout, a man the defense said, who had doubts about Lindsey Clancy's guilt, but seemed hellbent determined to convict her anyway, because she killed her three children. And in the view of that four person and the defense,

8:26because the juror had doubt that should have been enough to side with the other 11 and find her not guilty by reason of insanity, but the judge was not going to put his thumb on the scale and press any farther than he did. So now there's big questions about what comes next. Erin, you talked about that hearing that's going to be coming up, but I want to take this over to you because if there is a retrial, who has the advantage here? So usually the majority of the times the prosecution has the advantage of a retrial, because the element of surprise at the defense side is no longer there. But in this case, it's going to be the defense that actually has the advantage. And that's because the defense has already locked into testimony of the cross examination of the treating physicians as well as the prosecution experts, and also the defense had the better, more qualified experts in this case. And Mr. Reddenton has already said that if there's a retrial, if the prosecutor decides to bring in another expert to try to interview Lindsey Clancy, that he's not going to allow that. So the prosecution is stuck with who they already had examined.

9:29But you never know what kind of jury you're going to get as well. And then Erin, to you, so what are the legal teams on both sides saying about how they're preparing their next moves? The district attorney would not tip his hand with. He said he will not make a decision immediately about whether to try the case again. And if he does, whether it's going to be for first degree murder, or maybe it will be something less that would allow for some kind of plea agreement, or to have the trial before a judge only and not a jury. But the defense attorney Kevin Reddenton said he likes the jury system. He believes he won the case and was on the cusp of getting the verdict that he wanted, saved for the one hold out. So he's very confident that Clancy would prevail. And he says he wants it done as soon as possible because he doesn't want a first degree murder indictment hanging over her head. But she's back in the hospital. It's not like she's going free, even if she were to be acquitted because of the insanity defense. She's going to get the treatment of the defense. So desperately says she needs. And Bernard, I got to say last weekend here on GMA, you actually predicted that a mistrial could happen. So why did you think that? And how unusual is this 11 to 1 split?

10:37It's a very difficult case. You have to think when you're talking about mental health, when you're talking about a woman who had history of mental health, who was actually trying to get treatment and was failed from the health care system. I think that weighed heavily for the defense. And also she had the support of her ex husband and the mother in law, so that helped in her favor. But I have to say in terms of 11 to 1 is actually common. I've had two trials. I ended up in a mistrial 11 to 1 retried and I end up winning the second time around. Yeah. And Erin, I think you put it perfectly when you said regardless of what happens next, there is a broken family here at the center of all of this. Thank you both so much for the insight in the reporting this morning. Okay, we're going to turn now to the war with the Ron and what the president told me in the oval office calling the conflict small potatoes and not a big thing while defending his vice president. This morning president Trump declaring the conflict with the Ron is quote small potatoes defending his vice president who would not call it a war. Can you explain to the American people if this is not a war? What exactly is it?

11:37Well, I'll tell you what, a lot of people don't call it a war. I call it a military conflict because it's small potatoes for us. It's not a big thing. 18 service members have died in the war. The president said would only last four to six weeks more than six months in nearly 800 have been wounded. It certainly doesn't feel like small potatoes. 18 service members have died. We're seeing record long deployments. You initially said this last month. Why is it record long? 80 second. How long have we been here? How long have we been here? We're seeing record. How long have we been here? The US they were handling and was out from more than 25 days at sea. Democratic Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer writing small potatoes tell that to the families of the 18 troops we've lost. The hundreds of wounded service members. Democratic Senator Mark Kelly a combat veteran posting on social media. This whole war is just a game to Trump. The president later acknowledged the human toll of the war. We lost 18 souls, 18 great souls. I was there to greet the families of those people that dove. They're great. I got very friendly with some of the families. They're incredible families.

12:39The conflict is driving up fuel prices. Diesel reaching a record high. But the president touting a bright spot for the economy. A better than expected. John's report. It's been amazing. And today they announced 162,000 jobs. Do jobs. So back to that conflict with the Iran. The US did launch strikes on Iran just days ago for the first time in recent weeks. The president still won't say when exactly all of this will end. But again, we are far past his four to six week timeline. Sure is. And so much at stake here. Thank you, Rachel for that. More now on the latest jobs report. Exceeding expectations and what it may mean for the overall health of the economy. Maybe see Zalivia Rubin is here with details. Live you a good morning. Wait, good morning. It was a huge month for hiring in August 162,000 new jobs added according to new government data. Smashing economists expectations after months of stagnant growth. Specifically, employment surging for restaurants and bars, which added nearly 60,000 jobs. Manufacturing, health care and construction industries all seeing gains too.

13:42President Trump, of course, certainly very pleased with these new numbers. Calling them quote, fantastic. We're also using this opportunity to double down on his long time public campaign for the federal reserve to lower interest rates here with. And Olivia, on that point, is there any indication of what the Fed might do regarding interest rates? Well, this strong report could actually cause the exact opposite wit because hiring is so strong. The Fed can now try to tackle the other issue of rising inflation by raising those rates. Inflation right now is at 3.4%. That's well above the target of 2% and making matters worse. Americans paychecks just aren't keeping up here. We just growing slower at just 3.1%. In polls have showed that Americans are largely frustrated with rising prices in the state of the economy. That means all eyes will be laser focused on next week's inflation report, which could signal where rates are headed from here. Okay, we'll be watching for that report, Olivia. Thank you so much. Meanwhile, this morning a passenger from an American Airlines flight is under arrest and charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

14:47Flight attendance and other passengers can be seen restraining the passenger. 67-year-old Arthur Lundin from Arizona, the airline and the FBI say that he became unruly leading the flight from Dallas to Newark to divert to Baltimore. Now, one flight attendant seen with duct tape in his hand, images from onboard show Lundin zip tied and duct tape to the seat. You see those pictures right there? The plane landing without incident in Baltimore where it was met by law enforcement who arrested Lundin and took him off that plane. The flight then continued on to Newark. The FAA is investigating. The agency says airlines have reported more than 1,100 unruly passenger incidents so far this year. What? The images are really so. Unbelieved. A lot of duct tape. That's a lot of duct tape. Yeah, whatever it takes, I guess. We're going to switch gears now and talk about some tennis. Why don't we? The William Sisters returned to the US open nearly 30 years after Venus first set foot on the championship court in ABCs. Andrew Dimbert was up late tracking all the highlights and joins us now. I'm just a thrilling match, though. Had to watch this.

15:49All right, we're getting deeper into the US open with the biggest names in the sport, battling in these later rounds while some of the most recognizable names took center stage right here in New York. Ten days after the devastating floods hit the country. According to officials there, the man was rescued from a hydropower tunnel a day after two other men were rescued. And the woman was pulled from a house where then 1300 people reported killed in the catastrophe with 5,000 still missing.

20:11We have a new video here of a fatal police shooting on New York's famed Brooklyn Bridge. Authorities say that a man wielding a knife was walking on one of the cables of the suspension bridge. They say he ignored orders to put down the weapon. And as he was walking towards officers about three feet away, he raised his arm. And they say that's when an officer fired. He died later at a hospital. WNBA Commissioner Kathy Engelbert is stepping down. The leak says that she will retire in December. She's the second longest serving WNBA chief. She's overseeing significant financial growth for the league. But has come across intense criticism from some players for her leadership. And Knoxville Tennessee honoring Dolly Parton on Friday. A half mile parade wound its way through the city featuring a big Dolly puppet. The country music icon died last week at the age of 80. So working a national outpouring of love for her and her music. And of course her charitable works. All right, we do want to turn now to college football because it is back. The excitement is building.

21:11And that means our friend Desmond Howard with ESPN College Game Day is back as well. With the kickoff show in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for tonight's LSU Clemson matchup. Des, good morning to you. We missed you. Do you miss us? Yeah. Yeah. Hey, good morning to you guys. I miss you guys too. And I'm glad that we're right here in Baton Rouge, the epicenter of college football right now. With some of the greatest fans in all of college football, we ready to kick off week one. You got it. That crowd is roaring. And we're going to come back to that game in just a moment. Well, let's start with number 13 Alabama against East Carolina. How can the crimson tide get off to a fast start? Well, guys, Alabama is not the most popular team around these parts. You know, and they love to see Alabama struggling. You're talking about a 20 and eight record the last couple of seasons. They're not used to losing four games of season. So what they're going to have to do is they're going to have to establish an identity.

22:14Now, when you replace a living legend and dig saving and you bring in a whole new coaching staff, a team can get stuck between who they were and who they want to be. And that may take a year or two. I think year three on the calendar board, they're going to be much better. First and foremost guys, they have to establish the run. They were 15. They're only 16 teams in the SEC. And they were 15 and rushing off as they have to control the land and spring. Okay, Dad. So it's in it's the big 12 versus the SEC in Atlanta. Baylor taking on Auburn. What are you watching for in this one? I tell you what, so Auburn has a new head coach of Alex Goldich. He came over from US fantastic coach did it. A tremendous job at USF. Now he's about to join the SEC. Whatever gets the bear on the team who's obviously reeling right now. Their coach Dave Miranda, he's on the hot seat. They need to get off to a fast start. When Goldich was at the SEC, he said, I don't set goals.

23:17I set standards. So I'm looking around like well me and Charles Barkley and Bo Jackson. We want to see these new standards for War Eagle. I expect them to get off to a fast start. But don't discount Baylor. They need this game quarterback for Alex Goldich who came over from USF. Byroom Brown. Dual threat quarterback. Make sure you keep an eye on him in that matchup. Does my favorite part about the commentary that you bring is the commentary that the crowd brings behind you. Because it's so good to hear all the booze. So we got to touch on this LSU drama that has everyone talking. So what's your take on this with players having these brief stints in the NFL? But now being clear to return to college football. Drama? What drama? Drama, guys. What is it? What is it? Right. We're just ready to play jumps in the night, right? Yeah. That's the diplomat. In a nutshell, I think that first of all, it was a rule in a loophole that Lane Kippen noticed.

24:26And he wanted to take advantage of it. But I don't think he anticipated it would get this big. It would grow to where it is, where it's the only thing we've talked about going into week one. I think Cooler Hands will prevail eventually. And we're going to play some great football. And then to the day, guys, you know what's so funny? Like last season, the regular season ended with all the drama and all the talk about Lane Kippen. Is he going to coach the playoffs? Is he going to coach Ole Miss? Is he going to go to LSU all that drama? And now we've won starts Lane Kippen. Is he going to add these two players who were in NFL camps and all that stuff. But at the end of the day, Lane Kippen can coach some football. And you're going to see that tonight when they take on the Clemson Tigers at 730 Eastern on ABC. And Des, we are almost out of time, but quickly, what do you see happening in that game today? Wow, I tell you. What, poor old Clemson, no one's talking about Dabble and Swinney. No one's talking about their team and they're going to just roll in here and try to win the game.

25:29But I just think that when you look at this roster at LSU, they're a very strong team. They have a lot of talent. But Dabble has not forgotten how to coach ball. I think it's going to be a game that's going to come down to the fourth quarter, make sure you tune in. All right. You got to desk. Thank you. They're responding to more and more travelers wanting premium experiences. It's not just about the cheap seats anymore. And those airlines are battling out for your dollar. This morning the airline battle for your buck is on. JetBlue unveiling its new first class experience called BlueFers complete with seven inches of more legroom, wider seats and mattress caliber cushions. And the seat backs feature something called mixology mode, allowing customers to create custom cocktails.

27:31Experts say it's all part of a race for airlines to attract the lucrative customer. We're definitely in a premium arms race. Even the budget carriers where the growth has been for the past several years now has been in the front of the cabin. Remember these premium seats used to go to business travelers now. It's really leisure travelers who want the best of life. And that means first class seats. American Airlines announcing its retrofritting its largest Boeing 777 planes to add 70 extra business class seats with private doors. But to do that, they had to remove multiple bathrooms and shrink economy class. Airlines are having more trouble selling the very cheapest tickets. There's more demand for premium and the airlines have recognized that. Southwest, the one's budget friendly carrier is also making moves to attract the money. Announcing for the first time, they're building four luxury lounges with plans for at least seven more. The first one expected to open late next year. If you like Southwest Airlines, I have big news for you. It's a big move for the one's no frills airline in an attempt to attract those premium customers

28:35and keep up with the competitors like American, United, and Delta Airlines, who already offer swanky lounges like these to customers who use certain airline specific credit cards. They've seen the airlines get rich off their credit cards. And so they want to try to capture some of that premium market that has been explosive in growth the past couple years. So, you know, this sort of higher end travel is here to say. Yeah, and this is something that we saw start during the pandemic. For more and more people wanted those premium experiences on a flight with travel. And so they're just responding to the market here. It does feel a little bit like whiplash. It does. It's a budget luxury. What direction we're going. It seems like maybe the high prices here to stay two. That's right. Looks like. Yes. 29:35According to the National Institutes of Health, one recent estimate finds that only about 14% of adults aged 65 and older meet the federal guidelines for aerobic and muscle building physical activities. But one mother, son duo and Atlanta is working on changing that. Why? Miss Aretha Jackson is no stranger to the spotlight. I'm Aretha Jackson and I was a soul trained dancer from 1977 to 1986. But these days, the soul trained star has a whole new audience thanks to her viral workouts with her son. This is my mama. She is now 70 years old and today we're going to see how high she can jump. Yeah, hey, I've been a coach for probably just about 10 years now. And so I was like, if I'm going to help anybody with all the skills that I've learned, I might as well help my mom. Squats. 30:39Jimmy and Aretha are changing the narrative around aging and fitness. She's 70 and she's exercising and she's making meaningful progress. So like you don't have to be working out for five, six times a week to make significant changes that benefit your quality of life. And embracing the chance to get to know each other a little better along the way. It's changed the way that I feel like I understand my mom a lot better and I feel like I just have so much more respect for her. How has it changed your relationship with Jimmy? Quite a bit. He sees me, he feels me, he understands me, asks his mother and asks his friend that he loves. Because I love him too. He said, aren't you wearing lipstick? I'm wearing a white shirt. She said, I'm not wearing lipstick. Don't worry. That little smooch on the shoulder there. Mr. Aretha also tells me she feels stronger. She's now working out not once, not twice, but three times a week once with Jimmy and twice on her own at the gym. But they both say it's all about taking that first step and just convincing yourself that you can get stronger and get healthier no matter how old or young you may be.

But let's begin here with what's next in the Lindsey Clancy case. After the judge declared a mistrile on Friday. ABC's Aaron Katerzka has been following this from the very beginning. And you have more on what happened in that courtroom. Yeah, that mistrile Gio followed a jury deadlock accusations against a holdout juror, a last-ditch appeal. And finally, a rather anticlimactic finish to a trial watched around the world.

34:46This morning, Lindsey Clancy is back at a state mental health hospital after the judge declared a mistrile when jurors could not break a days-long impasse over whether to hold her criminally responsible for killing her three children or not guilty because she was suffering severe postpartum psychosis. It is with a heavy heart that we report we are unable to come to a unanimous decision and will not be able to. After 40 hours of deliberations over seven days, Clancy's attorney said there was one holdout. A man he claimed was refusing to follow the law and he urged the judge to step in. I would ask that you specifically direct their attention to proof beyond a reasonable doubt and re-instruct them on that forcefully. Did they yesterday, didn't they? Yes. You did yesterday, didn't it? So I, you didn't do it forcefully. I'm asking anybody what it was. What do you want me to do? Get it, get a brass band. The defense asked the state's highest court for an emergency ruling to get the holdout juror kicked off the case. I have before me an emergency request for relief by the petitioner, Lindsey Clancy.

35:51The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court declined to intervene and the judge granted the mistrile. I understood that you all gave everything you could and probably more than you thought you could. Jurors looked frustrated and defeated, Clancy's supporters wearing pink in disbelief. I'm just, you know, with regards to the results of the trial, very sad, very, very sad. It's now up to the district attorney to decide whether to retry Clancy. This case is not about a health care system or about how women are treated in it. This case, however, was about Lindsey Clancy and what she did on January 24th, 2023, and the cruel and calculated killing of three innocents. Kevin, for everything the trial brought up, we heard from the district attorney, the victims are the children and not your client. Can you respond to that? My client is well aware of the fact that we're three kids who she loves, love, deal with other victims that are scared to be killed.

36:55If the case is retried, a new jury would be asked to decide whether Clancy was too mentally ill to be held criminally responsible for killing her kids. Her ex-husband Patrick said in a statement, the prospect of reliving this tragedy through another trial is extraordinarily painful. Yeah, it must be absolutely so Aaron, this just begs the question, what are the next steps here? A couple of different things. First, the defense is considering whether to go to federal court and try and appeal over that holdout juror that the defense believes should have been kicked off the case. Then the district attorney has to decide whether to retry her, would it be for murder in the first degree again? The defense said he would not change a thing. Kevin Reddington believes he won the trial. And so he would stay the course. There's a hearing on September 29th. That's when we'll find out the next steps. All right. Thank you so much, Mayor. What now to the legal fight over LSU in the SEC and NFL players coming back to play in college. Two players have not been added to LSU's roster for today's season opener against Clemson. That's according to sources at ESPN. A judge cleared the way earlier this week for the two to return to college football after brief stints in the NFL.

So you're kind of doing the math in your head, at a time you're in the store. Yeah, absolutely. She shows us her biggest money-saving hacks to feed her family of 10 at home. Tip one, stick to a rotating list of the same meals every two weeks. When you're on a tight budget, it's also consistency is what you can count on and what you know how much you're going to be spending. One of her go-to's is a foreign-gredient crock-pot dinner. We're doing an dinner for 10 with foreign-gredients total. Sausage peppers, sauce and spaghetti, a price tag of $2,184 or $2.18 per person. Tip two, go for the underrated proteins like chicken drumsticks. So this is $5 for a family pack of drumsticks.

43:06A lot of chicken. It is. Combine it with potatoes and broccoli on a sheet pan. Total price, $15, 150 a person. We've got two solid meals that are really affordable. Yeah. And feeding a lot of people. Yeah. Tip three, keep it cheap and fun with breakfast for dinner, appetizer nights or fast food nights. Even fast food is really, we're priced out of that. So we'll get like the restaurant style french fries and the onion rings. And we've made fast food nine at home. Our total bill for four meals. $76 and 11 cents. $76. They're a really good price. That is extremely much. And it can be done. Like that was without keeponning, that was without going to multiple stores. It can be done. So we had some practical tips for school lunches. She always includes a protein, fruit, veggie and snack with produce. She will start the week with fresh fruits like berries. And then switch to apples or clementines by the end of the week, which last longer, they are cheaper in bulk. Her big takeaway is consistency. Stick to that rotating list of meals. Maybe every Monday night it's pasta night, Tuesday, breakfast for dinner.
