We saw something on the PGA tour we hadn't seen in a long time, Gary Woodland, very emotional win there, wild fight night UFC, Seattle, Saturday night, but Jensen, it all is about the hoops. And one of the wildest endings we've arguably ever seen in the history of March Madness. Yeah, depending on what side you were on, one of the most incredible miraculous comebacks and then one of the most gut wrenching all time defeats. Never did I think that my perfect bracket would have to have some historical comeback to

1:00call to actually blow it up. But here we are. This is why you played through the finish line, man. What a finish. What a scintillating Sunday. It certainly was. Let's get to it because obviously with our guest was today's Zachary Cohen, Will Hill will talk to those guys about what they thought. I think everybody has gotten opinion on what they saw yesterday with Yukon and Duke. That's where we begin today's additions of our highlights and headlines. Help your bottom line with today's highlights and headlines. Two number ones, a number two and a number three are the final four representatives here Jensen. As we're down to the nitty-gritty going to Indianapolis cannot wait for Saturday night for the pair of games that we're going to have there. But Braylon Mullen shot is the shot heard round the college basketball world down to they get a steal from Duke in the final 10 seconds. Hit it to Mullins and he knocks it down and I mean my goodness poetry emotion the way

2:04that thing maybe one of the purest switches you're ever going to see from about 35 feet and that's how Duke blows a 19 point lead 15 point lead at halftime. No number one C Jensen had ever lost in the history of the NCAA double tournament leading by 15 or more at halftime and we saw history yesterday with Duke's collapse. Yeah, 134.0 that's the number and as I said I was just a half away from a perfect final four prediction still stings this morning kind of like I wish it never happened. It feels like it never happened but guess what it did and also credit where it's due as we'll break this one down further Michigan hit everything in sight. What a performance a dominating effort over Tennessee. They looked the part of the best overall team still left in this tournament. But I think if you were to say David the beginning when selection Sunday finished that this would be what we would see an Indianapolis man hard to complain really about anything with

3:06the way that all four of these teams are playing right now. All said I couldn't agree more like again Cinderella is clearly dead. There is no Cinderella I mean she's done but the madness continues and we saw the madness on display there Illinois by the way is a point and half favorite here against Yukon Michigan in that all time heavyweight matchup that I can't wait to talk about all week long. Michigan is a one and a half point favorite against Arizona that total 157 and a half the Illinois Yukon total sitting at 139 and a half year on this Monday morning. But how about the women as well? So Yukon and stores it's a good time to be a Husky men or woman because 38 and oh Gina R.A. Emma's done it again. His team is back in the final four they do feel like a wagon UCLA right there as well to punch their tickets to the women's final four 35 and one for UCLA and it did prompt a tweet of Dan Hurley and I thought this was interesting on the heels of his comeback. He didn't forget about the women either basketball capital of the world stores Connecticut

4:08Jensen it's the sixth time that the men and women have made it to the final four in the same year. That is incredible when you really kind of go on the macro. Oh, not and not to be, you know, someone that that looks at it and says, okay, well, you know, this is pretty heavily shaded in the women's game because again, you still got to play the games to get there. But Gina or Emma, whether it's women's, whether it's men's, we'll go down as arguably the best ever do it besides Pat Summit. You make mention of Yukon men's and women's making the final four still have two spots to punch today on the women's side and they're elite eight Michigan could also join that for a where the men have already punched their ticket number two seed the Michigan women will take on top seed Texas in the four or a side South Carolina will take on TCU still a chance here day that we will have all four number one seeds in the women's bracket make it to their final four in Phoenix. So Yukon is in UCLA is in what a dandy.

5:10Congratulations, Husky nation indeed in Hurley. We agree basketball capital. The world is stores Connecticut. Little little stores getting it done up there in Connecticut. By the way, Michigan women are nine and a half win underdogs tonight against the number one seeded Texas long horns and TCU as the three seed that they are 13 and a half win underdogs against number one South Carolina dawn stately. If that chalk holds all four number ones, they are heavily favored to get that done Texas and South Carolina tonight. Maybe a preview again, potentially of the finals. If we want to put the nicks, obviously in that big four of the Eastern Conference, they do lose to the thunder last night one 11 to 100. It does feel like order has been restored. So to speak with OKC once they got healthy again, maybe some more chaos still to come out of the east. We'll find out. Getting that feeling that yeah, Denver, San Antonio, sure they can compete, but it does feel like while it might be a little bit more top stervy on the east side, the west

6:11is a little bit more defined. I think the west is defined. The standings will tell you that is both OKC and San Antonio almost double digits ahead at least Oklahoma City is of the number three seed right now in the Lakers. I bet this one live last night at OKC minus three and a half. They go on that run at the end, and they win it to comfortably. The under hits it. The pistons and the Celtics are in the thunder and the spurs are in. And so now that battle for seeding begins here because it is really clogged here for the three, four and five spots in the Western Conference side between the Lakers, the Nuggets and the Timberwolves, only three games separate them, only a game and a half separate the Knicks and the Cavaliers for the three seed. So a lot more to break down here upcoming as we kind of look at it overall, but big time win here for the thunder down the stretch to try and also stay ahead of the spurs for

They enter play tonight two and a half games ahead of San Antonio San Antonio is the third betting choice to win the NBA chip six to one Celtics plus five 50 talk about demarcation lines and lines being set thunder, the clear favorite here plus a dollar 35 to go back to back. Aaron Glenn, your number two in New York City, Jersey, he says there's no doubt that it's Gina Smith is going to be QB one. We don't know that they're going to take a quarter back in the first round with one of their picks, Jensen, but it looks like the Jets are committed to Gina. What do we make of that? Really good spot. Now, if you want to bet the Jets for fewest regular season wins, that is as I think an obvious tanking situation for archmaning or whoever they want to take for the number one selection in next year's draft, I don't know about you, buddy, but when we start to really dive in and earn us not only into our draft coverage, probably start next week, week after

8:19that, but then also after that, Dave, once win totals have adjusted a little bit for the draft picture. You're right. In good conscience, they're not taking a quarter back. They've got their guy to get him one and 16 and get him the top overall pick. Come on, man. This is, this is got to be one of those writing on the wall spots here for your Jets fan. Well, again, right. That's where he gets you. Well, I thought they might take Tyson's and in the first round, well, not a Gina Smith is absolutely going to be the guy by the way, the win total for the Jets. It's five and a half. It's just to the over. Okay. Minus $1.15, not for my money, certainly not today. I wish my money was on Gary Woodland. What a story in the PGA tour, arguably one of the best sports stories of the weekend. If you know the story of Gary Woodland had brain surgery, this is a former US Open Champion, of course, back in 2019, had one on tour since 2019. Pre-pandemic. Think about that. He was like a lifetime ago and not only did he win, but he dominated on his way to victory

9:21at the Houston Open over the weekend was $1.15 to $1 on some books Jets and I saw before the week began. And he talked openly about having PTSD as far three weeks ago. He did some interviews with golf channel and the like and Jets emotional. And he said basically to summarize, felt like a fraud out there because everybody's cheering that he's back from this, this near death back surgery brain surgery too. And he said he felt like in the inside, he was dying on the inside is what he said. And then to see him in that swagger and rock chalk J. Hawk Kansas style was back. That was emotional victory to see Gary Woodland get it done at the Houston Open. And again, enter the final round, just a stroke ahead of Nikolai Hoigard. You are truly having Nikolai at 27 to one outright on the ticket and you almost felt guilty at rooting to try and get past in the Gary Woodland a great summary of kind of what he's been through the last three years as well, like to player on the tour as it gets.

10:21You kind of see the crowd there in the back nine when he really started to extend and this was almost a coronation to finish it off. By the way, great, great job on the placement tickets. 11:23game there where they got by 10 in the second half. It was really cool to see. We're going to talk more about that game, Jensen in specifics here because we are down to the final four. Those numbers are out. We're going to hear from John Shire as well. What happened on that last night? Jensen, I say that in all honesty where I cannot wait obviously for Gustin a couple weeks, you're going to be here, I believe, for our Friday show, right here with me in Franklin, Kentucky. We will watch, I don't know how much of the first round because you and I have other places we have to go after the show. But like this is the post football, supposed to be kind of dull drums. And you get out of those dull drums very quickly when you get to the NCAA tournament, major league baseball at the beginning of the year, like there's so many things that you forget about for a while. And I wondered if we forgot about the madness of March for just a little bit. And then were we given the greatest reminder of why we love the tournament so much with that epic comeback yesterday. So I Cinderella might be dead. The madness is far from over. Did you get that sense that that what we witnessed yesterday is one of the greatest endings

14:29to a game we might arguably ever see? Yeah. I mean, just in context to know that you have that big of a lead for Duke and I sat there. I wasn't even contemplating it full disclosure. I had Duke minus four and a half. Duke was the final leg of a perfect final four prediction that I had at Veecin.com for our betting guide. I did not think that Illinois would make it as easy in the end as they did. They obviously did. Michigan yesterday never a sweat whatsoever. Arizona looked the part. And here I am watching this first half of Duke thinking, I can't believe I'm going to get this home. And it's not even going to be a sweat. I remember thinking it at halftime, I'm sitting next to Michelle watching it. And she is beside herself because she had Yukon to complete her perfect final four. And as I watched the first 10 minutes of the second half, I'm like, okay, Yukon's going to make a little run. I even thought about trying to potentially find a little middle there.

15:29It's kind of hard to do that, you know, in betting terms as far as you're laying the five or you're laying the four and a half with Duke and then trying to find a way back. Because in the moment, Dave, we're watching Yukon, they're getting dominated. And the refs are calling all the fouls on Yukon. Like there's no path as you're watching the first half of, okay, there's no way this is happening. So I didn't think about hedging real time. But I, what I saw the first 10 minutes, I kind of expected like, okay, Yukon's going to make a little run. Now where's the counter punch? All right, take some body blows from Duke. They get back off it. They get it back to a double. Did you lead him? I'm like, all right, there's their run. We're okay. The last 10 minutes is coaching. The last 10 minutes, Dave really personifies Dan Hurley's personality. His team has never say die. They do everything possible to chip away, to stay in the fight. And they fought like hell because you could have easily given up 18 to 21 year olds and

16:29just said, you know what? It's just not our day. It's the number one overall seed. We got no chance. And so credit where it's due that Dan Hurley kept coaching, kept fighting, kept trying, every time out, Dave, he's getting the crowd into it. It's like, let's go. Come on. We're here. I think it was a master class in being able to hold your emotions, at least somewhat and check to the point where you could continue to execute. You forced the pressure back on Duke. And as you said, in the final 10 seconds of how it transpired, you will have so many what a should have could as, but the credit goes to the kit. You have to make the comeback first. And that should be recognized for what Yukon's players did, their coaching staff. They earned their way all the way back. And then the miracle shot at the end to send to the final four. You know, we always use it and I like to use it a lot in golf, parlance, where we use that moniker, stay in the fight. 17:33We want our athletes, our teams, our athletes, our individual sports teams stay in the fight. And that's exactly Yukon does. They figure out a way to get back in that fight, man. They re-engage every time. Now to John Shire's point. Now, it's two years in a row, right? The Houston debacle last year, somehow willing to double digit lead. And by the way, it's not just on Shire. These happen under Coach K2. Duke has got, has had a paint show from losing some of the largest leads you're going to see in the NCAA tournament. But two years in a row with Shire, this was going to sting the nostrils a little bit. John talked about it after the game and he doesn't even have the words to describe it. It could not be more disappointed and feeling for our guys at the same time of just trying to process what happened. I don't have the words. I don't have the words. Yeah, and if you listen to the whole thing, he really just took the bull by the horns and he kind of started it off. Hey, let me just get this out of the way.

18:35There were no questions asked. He delivered that statement and then he could talk to the players and he was gutted. You tell they were truly gutted in that locker room and you know, this is probably the last time that the boozer boys are going to play together with the NBA prospects of those sort of things. So that locker room was devastated and it was, I mean, this was technically the overall number one seed, whether we think they're better than Michigan or Arizona, that's certainly a question now for another day, but we'll never find out on the hardwood. Justin for Braille and Mullins part, this is an Indianapolis kid who when he got recruited by Dan Hurley to Yukon, yeah, he said we're going to take you back to Indianapolis. And guess what, they're going back to Indianapolis now. The final four is somehow inexplicably they get it done. Did Mullins have more words than John Shire? Let's find out now. I mean, yeah, it's still lots of words, still processing all of like what just happened. But I mean, I think that last possession, it was just we were trying to file the worst free throw shooter on the floor and Silas ended up deflecting the past to the other end

19:37of the floor. And it's just, I had the ball and I know AK had just hit one. So I threw him in four seconds left and man, he just threw the ball back to me. I knew I had to put one up. So man, I'm just happy that was that was the one that went down tonight. He had a rough shooting night and it was funny because Dan Hurley pointed it out too. He said, AK, that's Alex Kerr, man, that he air Alex, it hit a big three to cut it to one earlier in the final minute. It's amazing that presence of mine to do all that, get it off three tenths of a second left. And they get that W again, they're going to be the underdog, it's a small underdog here in the final four. But that never say die attitude, Jensen, it really does mean something, right? Like that was reflective in that comeback of that attitude. Now it's Kerr, but instead of we're just not going to lose. I think that's the other part too of pedigree and championship medal is there's an expectation when you put on the jersey and, and then also again, I'm going to reinforce coaching here and taking nothing away from John Chyre. Yep. But as I said, I go back and I think about the last 10 minutes, the last five minutes.

20:40When, when you get killer instinct head coaches on the offensive, that's what I think of Dan Hurley would have gone over and absolutely just hay-makered John Chyre. If this is a UFC terminology, Dave, you can tell that John Chyre's wobbling a little bit. Dan Hurley knows it. All he's got to do is get him down to the mat, get him down to the floor and submit. Like that's where he was. And I think that's what you can't felt, even with the foul trouble. And was it, was it a choke by Duke? I mean, okay, in some respects, but again, these are kids. These are still kids, Dave. I mean, it's a difference when you have 18 to 21 year olds are still scared to go talk to pretty girls at bars. It happens. Yeah. Cameron, Kaden Booser. They got state farm commercials. They got Samsung commercials. They're still scared in the moment because they're kids. And I think that's the beauty of the sport. You talk about the madness. And in the moment, someone who's been there at the highest level in the biggest of moments, it still gets a little bit to you.

21:44No one is immune from that kind of pressure. When that happens as quickly as it does, there's not a soul alive. That's immune to it. But when you're on the sideline and the adjustments are made, think about the misfree throws too for Yukon down the straight. Like this thing could have been tied or ahead. This might have been Duke having a foul to get the ball back. So notwithstanding, Yukon was one for 17 and three pointers that all of a sudden the heavens open and they start making them. Again, this is this is the beauty of it. You said at the beginning, it bears repeating. This is why we love March Madness. These moments, the the the inability to process how the hell did this just happen? How did it happen? And watching Bill Rafton, I'll throw back to you, watching the broadcast or camera reaction of Bill Raftry and Grant Hill, they were absolutely stunned just like you were. Like I was like, everyone watching cannot believe what we just saw.

22:44Onions from Raft. I mean, it was it was a great call. I an eagle was amazing. Everything about it was kind of perfect. You mentioned the misfree throws there because they, Demory missed one. A key with solo ball missed one down the stretch. Like those are massive turning points that should have gone dukes way. And yet with those mistakes, they still get the turnover. And I'll say this too about the young men. Sometimes old men are afraid to talk to pretty women at bar. I'm still guilty of charge sometimes. Don't have that courage. When we come back, Jensen, let's find out who's the best team remaining. Is it Arizona? Is it Michigan? Can you make a case for Illinois? We'll do all of that. 23:44Beeson by the books. Hey, Ross and Jensen was here with you on a Monday morning. Again, we're still processing what we saw. And again, you know, like Cinderella is not there. Is that okay? In some words, Jensen, because I mentioned this before the tournament never began. We want Cinderella early. And then we want the best teams late. Well, we've got the best teams. Now, if you want to say dukes better than Yukon, you can certainly make that case. There was up 19. You look for all the world that we're going to get three number ones in the final four. All the chalks going to hold. And it was still a two and a three. It's not like these are massive upsets to get Illinois in as a three. And to get Yukon in as a two. But you look at the other side of this thing now. And I know some people are going boy, they should recede this thing. Have you heard that talk? We should recede this thing. Because Michigan and Arizona are clearly the two best teams left. Right? And I'm so glad we don't we don't entertain those type of idiotic thought processes of now reshuffling the deck when you get to the stage. But let's talk about it, Jensen, because the betting market is saying right now

24:46that Michigan is a point and half favorite over Arizona. These are the two number one seeds to come out here. And clearly they do look like the two best teams. Not saying that that means that the winner is going to come from this game. But I think you can understand why the betting market thinks that that will be in fact fact. Right now, from what you've seen, I test repositioning if you would to entertain those thoughts of receding if you will. Would you make Michigan the overall number one? Or do you think Arizona? I think they're right there in an even playing field. I'm a little surprised it's a point. After me, this feels like a coin flip game. God, this just reminded me of the Notre Dame Miami issue from the college football playoff. All right, they played in the first week of the season. All right, you play a regular season in a conference tournament. If indeed college basketball is going to make an adjustment and you and I are not proponents of expansion, we don't believe that. No, then I would say that conferences should reshuffle the scheduling of their tournaments

25:46and perhaps even one step further. How many teams qualify? Think about it, Dave, we look at some of the one bid leagues, if you will, the Mac was an outlier this year because of the unbelievable right year from Miami, Ohio. Was Accord clearly the best team at the end of the season? You could have made an argument. Absolutely, they were. And they got in because they won the conference tournament. But that necessitated Miami, Ohio losing in the first round. Oh, by the way, they played at 11 a.m. Eastern time for a one seed in a tournament. So I think conferences can adjust their conference tournament scheduling. If you're thinking about Penn, you know, Penn winning the Ivy League, were they the best team that year in the regular season? No, they were not. They found their way in though. And that's just the nature of the beast. Okay, so back to where we are and the receding and where we are with the teams currently in. That's it's a 100% unequivocal no in a Lewis Ross administration. It'd be an executive order for all time. We do not do that. On you play to Selection Sunday, you get your draw.

26:49And this is your path. And Dave, remember Duke was a half away from going through arguably the hardest region in the last two decades that just gets lost. Come on, people. This was an East Regional semi-final that we were talking about probably for the next 20 years. Like, can you imagine four Hall of Fame coaches, potentially three, even for sure. And the way Shire started his campaign there at Duke, you would absolutely, if he found his way to the final four this year. Say, well, I mean, think about what he did. Replace in all the starting five, yada, yada, yada. Okay, Michigan at the beginning of the year, Dave. Who was the number one team in the big 10? It was Purdue. All right, Michigan proved it all the way through. They were arguably the best team. Arizona beginning of the year, a lot of talent. But we knew the shortcomings of Tommy Lloyd when he got to the tournament. You and I set on this very program on that Monday after selection Sunday. Remember pressing Arizona through to the sweet six. Oh, God, here we go again.

27:51Okay, finally, they do Illinois in the big 10. You and I said, this could be Chicago all over again, 2.0. It would set up that way. Had Spardy gotten through against you, Khan. But I would say unequivocally. If you recede, what in the hell are we doing for selection Sunday? What's the point? You're locked in, you look at it, you go. I absolutely think the tournament ends up finding by virtue of where everyone is selected. You end up getting the four best teams pretty much every single time. Dave, I think we can say we got the four best teams the way that they were playing through the year. The way they played through the tournament. I think we got the right four on Saturday night. What is interesting here is Arizona is actually the favorite to cut down the nets. They're plus $1.75 yet. They're a point and have underdog against Michigan. So do that, Matt. Michigan is a plus $1.80 as a small second choice there. Yukon is plus $3 plus $5.50 rather than the longest choice.

28:52Illinois is plus $3.80 to win two more games. Now Michigan put up 95 in their winning against Tennessee. It was never a close game here. 95 62 just beat down Tennessee from the start. By the way, I want to give a shout out to some of those malign coaches that we talk about a lot. I thought Matt Painner even though Purdue came up small in the second half against Arizona, let it have time. They lose $79.64 on Saturday as well. And I thought Rick Barnes got his Tennessee balls to an elite eight. I thought that was a really good year. Like not everybody can win the national championship here. And to get as far as some of these schools did, I do kind of feel like they maximize. I thought Purdue again in that loss clearly saw that in the second half, Arizona was just better. Michigan was just flat out better than Tennessee. It wasn't my coaching. Like we're going to talk about that with John Shire for a long time now. That's going to be John Shire is going to have to hear that stuff now. But other coaches have heard that for a long time too. So those type of schools, I felt like they kind of maximized what they were. Even Tom is a Michigan state losing to Yukon. And what I thought was a great game down 19 came back and took the lead late in that game.

29:54But even though they didn't win, there's some really good teams in there. No Cinderella's, but really good teams. Those really good teams of really good coaches are hard to put away. So I thought that was on display as well. But Jens, I will say this. My second crossover ticket sports partway ticket is still live. The first one I did because of your influence was got a chef for to win the British Open last year. And the Cincinnati Reds to make the postseason. We got that over 44 to one and we cast that ticket. So I took a little fun shot if you remember about a month ago. I took Shane Lowry to finish top 10 of the cognizant. Thank God. Even the Shane of collapse in the final round. Still got me home in the top 10. Michigan to reach the final four, Jensen. That is now a chick. I am a big fan of your Cleveland Cavaliers and almost 20 to one here. So we placed that back in February 26th. And these Jensen Lewis parlays. I mean, I'm not. We're not caching anything yet. But let's get to the Eastern Conference final here, big boy. And we have a way to monetize this thing. I love the way you put some of these together. And they are fun. And my second one is live.

30:55Well, it's going to be great to see what we'll break down that NBA side up coming because it is a fascinating finish here. We're seeding. Seeding might play a huge part into the viability in that path. I mean, Dave, if Kate Cunningham is going to be out for a decent amount of time in the Cavaliers might hold on to that four seed and and not get delusions of grandeur and try and win out here. Speaking of winning out, I thought this was very intriguing for those that want to jump in early on the final four. Michigan was installed, Dave, as a point and a half favorite over Arizona. It was immediately bet to the Arizona side. And then immediately ping pong back. So just food for thought as people start to in earnest, you know, really start to break down the matchups. So we certainly will every single day here on by the books. So just to repeat, Michigan opens one and a half point favorites. Then Arizona gets bet to a point favorite. And then it ping pongs back here about 12 hours ago overnight to Michigan

31:55back to a point and a half. Now full disclosure, I had Michigan overduke in my championship. If that had transpired, we would have had the perfect final four. But I'm with you. I still feel the winner of Arizona and Michigan will be our national champion. I think that has kind of been solidified through this tournament. What we watched over this weekend, it is compelling in pretty much every respect to look at what Michigan did a full dominant win yesterday. Arizona, a full dominant win over Purdue. I mean, you tell me, buddy, I think there's a real reason why we have these two teams where they are. And I still think they are the two best teams left in this tournament. I mean, come back, Sarah. Definitely invoke. We saw that obviously the Yukon come back. One will think about forever. But we shouldn't forget that Arizona was down in halftime to Purdue. Illinois was down in halftime to Iowa. And both those schools came back with big time second halves to make it never look that close.

32:56Tommy Lloyd, we've put him under the microscope too. He talked about it that second half and the message to the players and how they responded. Talk to them kind of my thoughts and a little overall thoughts for what I think what we needed to do in the second half. And then these dudes have been unbelievable. And this is when we're at our best. I said, guys, the coaching staff and I are going to leave right now. You guys got a few minutes to talk amongst yourselves and kind of figure this deal out. And let's go kick their ass in the second half. And all these dudes, I was literally a spectator just like you guys were in that second half. That's what it felt like. And so proud of these guys for what they did. You know, for our program and obviously our community. So thank you. I mean, I didn't know that Tommy Lloyd was going to go full coffee talk. Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. Purdue, go kick their ass. I mean, that's what he did. He did, he did coffee talk and it worked on the kids.

34:58It's gorgeous here already by 55 degrees. I have a 55 degree rule in golf. I don't play if it's lower than 55. We're going to be in the 70s all week. Jensen, I have no excuse to not get out there and start working on some swings. So this old man is going to get that body out there here to Kenny Perry's golf range in Franklin Kentucky. So if you see somebody hacking up some grass, that'll be yours truly. I want to ask about what we saw over the weekend and major week baseball. Because you you talked about it on Friday and I thought of a so well said. You got futures tickets out there. Maybe your team went one and two. Your team one, oh, and three. Sky is falling. Cancel the season. It's all over. We played three games here. People are some teams have played, but the majority have played three. So Jensen biggest takeaways from the weekend. And I do want to start very quickly with my metropolitan's that they did win two out of three against the pirate. So a decent start blue one yesterday. They could have easily. But you know New York, you know how it is in New York City and how tough it is to place in the city that never sleeps.

36:00Well, Boba Shatt comes over as the key free agent acquisition here. The Metropolitan's front office and he's one for 14. A bunch of punchies. He's already been an error playing trying to play defense this year. And I think Bo has the right attitude to deal with New York because he did get booed, Jensen. And it didn't take very long. No, if anything, I thought it took too long. But I mean, I get it. I thought my patch were terrible too. Okay, gets it is that bad for terrible to guys coming off a big time injury last year and still gutted it out for the blue jazze as we all saw. I look, I'm going to show my age a little bit here, Jensen. I was in New York City watching the Yankees. I want to say 1995 Tino Martinez. If some of you guys might remember Tino Martinez when he came over from Seattle to the Yankees. And I was there in that first month right up close listening. And Tino got off to this awful start with the Yankees. And Jensen, I was there in the crowd at Yankees stadium. And they booed the man mercilessly.

37:02I mean, it was brutal. And then Tino went on to be one of the greatest most famed guys to come over and to trade for the Yankees in that era as they helped them win back-to-back championship. Tino was a big part of those teams. So I'm not saying that's going to be Boba Shed. But you've got to have a certain mentality. And Tino dealt with it, didn't make excuses for it, and battled back to be a great player as he was. Boba Shed, any concerns here? One for 14 or just welcome to New York, kid. Yeah, welcome to New York is right. And we had said in our daily diamond preview. Again, wherever you get your podcasts, like and subscribe when you search for a visa in daily diamond. In our pirates preview day, we said that their pitching staff was certainly going to be elevated this year. If not a chance for the rotation to be in the top five when it's all said and done. No one in their right mind had Paul Schien's exiting in opening day after two thirds of an inning. And so the match take advantage there. And they get that opening day win as well.

38:02But I think this is part of what I reinforced to people last week. And we'll do it again here. Hey, if your team starts 3-0, awesome. Great job. Hat tip. They start off on three. No big deal. Second week of May, that's where we plant the first flag of, all right, where how we started. How it's going is the kids say. And I think for Boba Schett, too much of the back of the baseball card to show you that he's done this year in a year out. I would not panic whatsoever. If anything, buddy, I would get excited about your guy, Luis Robert Jr. And not only the walkoff home run, but also he has looked every bit the part of a shrewd acquisition. Remember the acquisition cost for the Chicago white side. They were trying to get him the hell out of Dodge because they wanted the money off the payroll. They wanted to find a way out. Luis on Helikunia, okay. And then a right handed pitching prospect. That's it. So that might be one of the most shrewd trades that David Sterns makes. It is met's tenure. He's looked really comfortable and one other little subplot here.

39:03It was on with Jim Bowdoin, hosting the front office on Elwin Network Radio yesterday. He talked about not only loving the trade, and Dave, you'll really like this part. He kind of idolized Luis Robert Jr. kind of idolized Juan Soto. That's his boy. And imagine having the mentor day in and day out now that Luis Robert Jr. will. And I think you're already seeing some of those early results play out. So keep an eye on it. Put a pin in that one to follow. But good early returns from that under the radar trade for some. But man, it could be a massively impactful one for the Met's for the rest of the season. Oh, Luis Robert looks really good and Roy on blue so far. So it's really, really good so far. So let's hope that that continues in his good health continues. Because when he stays healthy, he is a beast in so far. He looks at the part. Blue Jays, let's talk about the team that Boba Shet left. And went to New York with the Metropolitan's. They are three and oh, they get to sweep over the team with no city. And that would be the athletics.

40:04It's just their name, the athletics. So Jensen, they could have lost two of those games, but they didn't. And their pitching staff, which you documented here. And again, was almost got side in Berg last night. And what Scott and I were talking about our new podcast here. We're really excited about it. Obviously the daily diamond is something we brought to the fourth last year. And really good success with it last year. Carrying that over into podcast form. I love picking your brain every day. And kind of knowing and sizing up what these teams will look like. And they're actionable plays here. Blue J's pitching so far. Everything you thought it would be. I mean, and then some they said a major league record Dave 50 strikeouts to begin a season in the first three team games. And for what it's worth the athletics in Shay Langley years, my God, have an opening series. He was a beast in cactus league play towards the end of spring, training hecka, the entirety of his spring, training was great.

41:06The athletics had every chance to at least win one. If not the series period, Dave, they had opportunities to do it. It just did not transpire. And credit where it's due for the blue jays. When they needed swing and miss, they got it. This is kind of that microcosm to take what you will. But in our daily diamond preview of the season for the blue jays, we really harkened back to what were their massive moves. Getting Dylan Seas, you and I were on the show that they were like, wow, wow, they went that way. Okay, what does it take to go far in October? Number one, you got to hit the ball on the ballpark. Number two, you got to generate swing and miss. Well, Dylan Seas, 12 strikeouts later. Is that good? Is that a good blue jay debut, man? I think that I think they're feeling pretty good. At least after start one of Dylan Seas, Sarah. A couple of other things I want to bring to your attention after the first week in a major league baseball. One, the Dodgers and Larry Meera back in Las Vegas. Got a great job behind the scenes here with this show. Larry's got to be pretty happy because it gets your rings

42:09and then you just get more wins and you're still undefeated and they got a pretty easy schedule. You would think getting into April here as well. And also the Yankees, great start in the road. And not only sweeping the Gigantes, San Francisco scored one run in three games, one run. That's all they scored so far to go on three. Which one is more impressive? Yankees with a sweep on the road or the Dodgers with a sweep in home. They may be apples to apples, Dave, because the Yankees are yet to be at full strength pitching wise. And when they are, they may have the best staff in the American league. And that's what they'll do with respect to where Seattle is. Detroit coming into the year. The additions that Boston made specifically into their rotation. We remember the Yankees are going to get back. Carlos Rodón towards the end of the month. They're going to get Garrett Cole back towards the end of May. And hey, this is also another look into the Tony Vitelo experiment here. Now again, I'm going to go back to my refrain.

43:10I'm not passing any judgment. But while I will key on, at least with Tony Vitelo, and I told you this when we talk giants, it's different in the college game day where it's like a four-month sprint. The six-month marathon is going to extract whatever patience you may have. And it's going to force you to have a short memory. And you will not survive if Tony Vitelo is going to be so harkened about God. It's on me for not snuff scoring runs. Dude, the Yankees are good. Their pitching staff is nasty. Camp Schlitler might be one of those dark horse, saw young candidates. He looked pretty good out of the shoot. He has got ace front of the line rotation stuff. So you got to give credit where it's due, man. One official play already in pocket speaking of the giants. Another team that had a real tough time scoring a little bit against Detroit. Take the giants in the pod race under eight and a half. That's at minus $1.18 right now. That one going to be at Petco Park, I believe. So again, you look for spots where teams might be off to a slow start.

44:13I think that might be an advantageous place here. That's Linden Roup against Walker Bueller tonight there at 9.40 Eastern time. So that would be an official play for me as well. My fighting fish off to a really good start. They sweep the Colorado Rockies and win every game by one run. So it also, if you're a Rockies backer and you've got some overtickets there, I wouldn't panic just yet because they were in every game, could have won every game. And instead, they're 0 and 3. We get that. But the, but the Cubs very quickly gents and one and two in their weekend series against the Nationals. What was that all about? Well, the Nats actually saw in the bats really well. And again, you look for wriggly field wins, you know, things of that nature. Breggman had to come to homeers yesterday. But the Nationals out of the gates early. Again, that's why I tell you, be wary of going against teams that we kind of believe are not going to be contenders this year. Yeah, but a little feisty out of those Nats early on of the year, two and one to get off on the good. But all right, when we come back, we have a lot to get to.
