गुरुतरं कार्यम्

राजसूययज्ञे श्रीकृष्णः समागतः । सर्वे पाण्डवाः तस्य स्वागते संलग्नाः सञ्जाताः । श्रीकृष्णः युधिष्ठिरम् अकथयत् 'मया किं कार्यं करणीयम्?’ इति । युधिष्ठिरः तम् आदरपूर्वकम् आसनग्रहणाय आमन्त्रितवान्, किन्तु श्रीकृष्णः कार्यं कर्तुम् दृढसङ्कल्पं कृतवान् । पाण्डवानां प्रतिरोधेऽपि श्रीकृष्णः ततः गत्वा अतिथीनां भोजनपत्राणाम् अपनयने संलग्नः सञ्जातः । एतत् दृष्ट्वा कश्चन अतिथिः अकथयत् 'श्रेष्ठः जनः स्वकीयं गौरवं रक्षितुं लघुतरमपि कार्यं महत्तरं भावयति' इति ।

During the Rajasuya Yajna, Lord Krishna arrived, and all the Pandavas eagerly welcomed him. When Krishna asked Yudhishthira what task he should perform, Yudhishthira respectfully invited him to take a seat. However, Krishna was determined to contribute through action. Despite the Pandavas' insistence, Krishna went ahead and engaged himself in clearing the guests' food plates after their meals. Witnessing this, one of the guests remarked, "A truly great person upholds their dignity by valuing even the smallest task as significant".
