भवता कति प्रहाराः प्राप्येरन् ?

कस्मिंन्श्चित् प्रासादे काचित् सेविका राज्ञः शय्यागृहस्य स्वच्छतासमये राज्ञः मृदुलां स्थूलां शय्यां दृष्ट्वा शयनसुखानुभवेच्छया शय्याम् आरूढवती । महान्तं हितानुभवे प्राप्ते अचिरात् एव तया निद्रा प्राप्ता । अल्पे एव काले राजा राज्ञी च तत्र आगतौ । शयानां सेविकां दृष्ट्वा राज्ञः कोपः नितरां प्रवृद्धः ।  राजा कशाम् आनाय्य प्राहारम् आरब्धवान् । सेविका हसितुम् आरब्धवती । किमर्थम् अयं व्यवहारः इति पृष्टे सेविकया दत्तेन उत्तरेण राज्ञः कर्तव्यताबुद्धिः जागृता भवति । किं तत् उत्तरम् इति कथां श्रुत्वा ज्ञास्यामः ।

In a certain palace, a maid, while cleaning the king's bedroom, saw the soft and luxurious bed and desired to experience its comfort.
