भक्तः दामाजी पन्तः

पुरा मङ्गलवेढाग्रामे दामाजीपन्तः‌ नाम परमदयालुः दैवभक्तः दानशीलश्च आसीत् । यवनराजस्य शासनाधिकारिरूपेण कार्यं करोति स्म । कदाचित् पण्ढरपुरतः आगवद्भ्यः जनेभ्यः धान्यागारतः यथेष्टं धान्यं वितीर्णवान् । एतेन कुपितः यवनराजः पान्थम् आनाययति । मार्गमध्ये सः पण्ढरिनाथस्य मदिरं गत्वा भक्त्या प्रार्थितवान् । भक्तवत्सलः पण्ढरिनाथः दामाजीपन्तस्य सेवकरूपं धृत्वा सपादलक्षमुद्रायुक्तं स्यूतं यवनराजाय दत्त्वा प्राप्तिपत्रं च स्वीकृत्य ततः अन्तर्हितः अभवत् । तदनु प्रवृत्तं सर्वं ज्ञात्वा पण्ढरिनाथः एव एवं कृतवान् स्यात् इति पान्थः साश्रुलोचनः जातः ।

Long ago, in the village of Mangalvedha, there lived a kind and devout man named Damajipant, known for his generosity. He served as an officer under the Yavana king. Once, he freely distributed grain from the royal granary to pilgrims from Pandharpur. Angered by this, the king summoned him. On his way, Damajipant visited the temple of Pandharinath and prayed with devotion. Moved by his devotion, Lord Pandharinath, disguised as a servant, delivered a bag containing 1.25 lakh gold coins to the king along with a receipt, then disappeared. Realizing the divine intervention, Damajipant was overwhelmed with tears of gratitude.
