शक्तिशाली कः?

कश्चन पिता पुत्रस्य अध्ययनाय उत्तमं प्रयासं कृतवान् । पुत्रः अपि उत्तमम् अध्ययनं कृत्वा उद्योगे सफलः अभवत् । विवाहः अपि सम्पन्नः । सः संस्थायाः प्रमुखः अपि अभवत् । कदाचित् पिता कार्यालयं गत्वा पुत्रं दृष्ट्वा सन्तुष्टः अभवत्, प्रश्नम् अपृच्छत् 'एतस्मिन् प्रपञ्चे शक्तिशाली जनः कः?'। पुत्रः स्वम् एव शक्तिशालिनम् अवदत्, यत् श्रुत्वा पितुः मुखं म्लानं जातम् । कारणं पिता एव शक्तिशाली इति वदेत् पुत्रः इति आशयः आसीत् पितुः । पिता पुनः पृष्टवान् 'किमर्थं आत्मानं शक्तिशालिनम् उक्तवान्?'। पुत्रः उत्तरयति 'प्रश्नकरणसमये भवतः हस्तः मम स्कन्धे आसीत् । यस्य स्कन्धे पितुः हस्तः स्यात् सः एव शक्तिशाली ' । पुत्रस्य वचनं श्रुत्वा तं दृढतया आलिङ्ग्य आनन्दाश्रूणि स्रावितवान् पिता ।

A father worked tirelessly to support his son's education. The son studied well, succeeded in his career, got married, and eventually became the head of an organization. One day, the proud father visited his son's office and asked, “Who is the most powerful person in the world?” The son replied, “I am.” The father’s face fell—he had hoped the son would say, “You are.” When asked why he considered himself powerful, the son gently said, “When you asked me, your hand was on my shoulder. Whoever has his father's hand on his shoulder is truly powerful.” Hearing this, the father embraced his son tightly, tears of joy flowing from his eyes.
