Guru Gobind Singh, the revered leader of the Sikhs, had four sons who attained martyrdom in battle against the Mughals. Upon hearing this news, his wife was overwhelmed with grief and began to weep loudly due to the loss of her sons. At that moment, Guru Gobind Singh consoled her by saying, "Those who attain heroic death in a righteous war are immortal sons. Be proud of them." He further said, "Parents who lose their children must be comforted by us. Consider the people as our children. When our thinking changes, sorrow transforms into joy. Therefore, the wise say — let us live in the world unattached, and remain devoted to our duties."
