UA Anchorage Ski Team at NCAA Championships

0:00From the Daily News Now Network, this is Cory with Anchorage News Today. The University of Alaska Anchorage Ski Team is competing at the 2026 NCAA Sking National Championships in Utah this week. Seven C-Wool's athletes are taking part in both Alpine and Nordic events. Park City hosts the Alpine races while Soldier Hollow handles Nordic. The action kicks off Wednesday with Giant Slalom, followed by a 7.5-kilometer classic race on Thursday, Slalom Friday, and a 20. Kilometer freestyle, Saturday. The team is smaller than usual after dealing with injuries and tough luck this season. Still, Coach Sparky Anderson says the group is super talented and ready for the high-level challenge against top college skiers, including Olympians, and World Cup competitors. Senior Alpine skier, Ella Bromay, stands out as the most experienced, with three All-American honors and Top 10 Slalom finishes in her first three. Nationals trips. This is her final college shot at a podium, and she's coming off strong results at this venue last month.
