This is Corey with Lester News Today, powered by the Daily News Now. Firefighters in Lestershire are urging everyone to be careful with tumble-dryers after a fire broke out at a local pub. The blaze happened just after 2am on Friday, March 13th at the Gelsmore pub in Griffey Dam near Colville. Crews from the local fire station quickly put it out. No one was injured, which was a huge relief. Officials say the fire started because the dryer was overloaded and now they're sharing tips to keep home safe. They recommend not overloading the machine since it can overheat. Also never run it overnight while asleep or when you're out of the house. Clean the lint filter every time, ensure good air flow around it and check for any strange smells, noises or heat. Simple steps like these can stop fires before they start.
