And if you're going to move a second and a third, maybe, maybe you should look at potentially moving a pick higher if you can maybe get a couple players back in return. You know, I'd mentioned over the last few days after the Conor Murphy trade that we could see a scenario where the Oilers make two separate deals, Maja Pony out in one deal with a draft back to clear the space and then the Oilers address the need and not wondering whether or not well, the way to set here, maybe you can get what you want in the same deal. You just got to give up a better back. So we'll wait and see on that front. We do have several things percolating. Jerry Johansson has Colton Peraco, the Blues players. Their leadership group has been told there in play and there's a rumor that Peraco is evaluating a trade potentially to Buffalo. What are you hearing on that front, Pierre? Yeah, I mean, obviously more in the rumor from some there and Jaggers says that there's a deal in place as long as Colton Peraco weighs.

4:10So our sense right now is Colton Peraco is contemplating and if you wave them, that's the heck of a pickup for the Buffalo savers and it's kind of been a while 24 to 36 hours between the savers and Blues as you've been falling along by now because at one point it was a much bigger discussion that also involved Robert Thomas, but at the end of the day the Austin Price and St. Louis super high for all teams requiring on Robert Thomas for at least it is at this point we're not Friday yet. So if Peraco is good to go to Buffalo, he will be so we'll see what his decision is. But yeah, it's an interesting time to be alive when the Buffalo savers are vires and why shouldn't they be? 6:16Mackenzie Weger. What are you hearing there with Calgary? Same thing really waiting for Weger to decide whether or not he wants to agree to a trade to Utah. So, you know, as we saw with Tyler Myers, not Tyler Myers case, he was waiting for a different team to get involved and that was smart because he got the team he wanted to pass on a trade to Detroit last week and got traded at Dallas today that's not going to happen here in the sense that either Weger says yes to Utah or it doesn't but it's obviously they only have a couple days to Friday so we'll see where it goes but again, interesting, these moves are not easy when you have to go back to the player and get the wave and the same thing is Robert Thomas, the blue is ever fine, you know, a trade they like at Robert Thomas, they still have to go to him and his camp and have him decide what he wants to do and I'm not sure I have a tool to read on that by the way, so these are tricky things right

7:20this time of year. We're joined by Pierre LeBrun from T.S. San and the athletic for Riverside, Hanna and Skrew. Pierre, how much frustration is the double retention been an issue given a lot of the teams that are going for it? Don't have a ton of caps, please. Yeah, I wrote about that Monday in the athletic because I thought it was a good way to kick off the week, given how quiet the week had been and which is rare ahead of that line week and yeah, the reaction I got from managers and agents was pretty uniform like the elimination of double retention of being able to get a 13-party to bulker a deal and to take down the salary, that has been huge, so as the playoff gap, I mean, you can no longer spend that will, you know, using an injured player salary that doesn't come back and tell the playoffs. I mean, that was the biggest loophole there was for the longest time. So when you combine those two new CBA realities, it's being felt in the industry for sure.

8:26Now again, we're starting to see moves now as we're two days out, finally, and I think it's going to be a pretty busy Thursday and Friday, but at the end of the day on Friday, when we do the count, I suspect that over a two-week period will be lower in trades than we've been in the last few years and I think those are factors. All right, let's do some quick hitters. First of all, I know I mentioned last, there was a lot of buzz last night on Twitter about the potential of Jordan Bennington, that is, I don't see that happening, but he wrote about Sergey Broborovsky today in the athletic, who are his potential suitors? It's, you know, it's hard to say. I listed the teams that I think would at least have to have a conversation, and yes, I listed Emmington, but that's just because I love the storyline. So, I think the gut will be the owners of the gut final swap teams. I don't know, I could be wrong and you can tell what you think, but I think it's hard to understand, Bowman, to sit there and say, I'm going to swap out my number one goal

9:28yet again in season after doing it once. I think you got to double down at this point on what you have in goal, and I really like the Conor Murphy trade, by the way, I think that's the, there were a lot of playoff teams after him, by the way, much all being one of them that won a Conor Murphy. So, there's one out on that, but, you know, I think the two most obvious teams to think about if Nebraska does move and there's absolutely no guarantee that he does. But if he does move, I think you've got to look at Vegas and Carolina. I mean, Vegas, you know, none of the goal is in the top 30% and your goal is safe, the above expected. And really, I think gold doesn't sink them in the playoffs last year, they got to at least be thinking about it. And Carolina, as I mentioned Carolina, you know, they've never wanted to make the big move in goal. And I think it's hurt them at the end of the day and not getting over where they want to be, playoff lies over the last several years.

10:29And I know for a fact that he did phone St. Louis earlier this week just to check on his ad of Jordan Bennington, which, again, does not mean that there are games that went up doing something. They've been an organization that philosophically doesn't believe in spending in goal and, and splashing too big there, but it is interesting that they checked in on Bennington. So I think those of the two that make the most sense to me, maybe there are a lot of ups and over night that wondered whether they should do that after Dallas got lit up and multiple struggled all year, but that game in San Jose last night was just as much about bunches of kinds of courage as well. So, you know, we'll see, I would never say no with Montreal, but I think, you know, that has a more focused on whether they get in on one of the big top six scores or whether they get it on a right shot, D, then I think they are in goal. That could be wrong. Well, if they get in on Thomas, you have to figure that one of New Hook or Doc is out of there. They had lots of prospects in Montreal.

11:30You did mention a, an interesting player, Simone Namish. Yeah. I mean, I'm, why would New Jersey get rid of him? I mean, I'm not, I don't think New Jersey is going to make the playoffs. Does he, we're talking about a number two overall pick of the draft? It certainly caught my attention too when I realized from talking to other team last night that he had started to serve his sense. So I did some digging this morning and realized that yes, I was confirming that the doubles are listening, but that doesn't mean they'll move them. And I know that people, you know, hear that kind of talk of this time, you hear it think it's semantics, but I think it's very specific. I mean, really, they would only move them if they could seriously upgrade their forward court. And that's what they've told teams. So we'll see where that goes. It doesn't mean that he gets moved, but the mere fact that they would take calls on and to me was not worth it. You know, the second or overall pick in 22 behind this countryman, your ice opkowski. And maybe the guy that could quarterback your part of the way for many years to come.

12:32So you're, listen, if you're a team trying to get him in the next room, let's say 45 or less than 45 hours left the deadline, you're going to have to point out big in terms of that kind of forward package that the doubles are looking at. So I don't know if that's going to happen, but again, it's always interesting to hear about, you know, guys that teams are listening on. All right. So, you know, I've talked about Nikola Waw for four months. I know that. Just because I like him doesn't necessarily mean the team like some. I just know what I saw when he was with Vegas, and he was a very useful player. I do think there is a distinct possibility that Emichin finds a way to get a center here. I don't know if it's going to be Nikola Waw, you know, I, but the leaves, the Lee, I mean, the least he was part of the Mitch Martin trade. He does have a year left, three million, the boots this year. He doesn't look like skating as quickly as he, and he's a big man. He is even, but he's had a rough year analytically speaking.

13:36And I don't know how you can really gauge Toronto on a lot of nights, especially coming out of the Olympic break, because they've had a, you know, they, they took care of businesses. The orders handed them that game, and when they were in here, but they're the leaves. And maybe you can correct me if I'm wrong. Are they not pulling a bunch of guys that'll line up tonight? Yeah, they're pulling, uh, Ekman Larson and Lawton and McMano. And of course, Lawton and McMano, the other guys pull out because they're pending U.S.A. So they have to most likely to move those guys now that they're likely not making the playoffs. So we all is interesting because he's not attending U.S.A. But I think that's the part that's probably generating the most interest. So we've seen what's happened with defenseman in the last 20 hours. So, yes, he didn't, the least would want to look at what they can get for him. So they did not pull Nick the Swah out of the lineup. Um, I'm with you. I, I love him as a fit in Edmonton. I mentioned that hundreds of trading yesterday, because he does at the very least fit the criteria.

14:36What I think Stan moment looking for, but there are other guys that, that quite here as well. You know, I think they want that grindy, you know, rugged, uh, third line center. And if they can't find a center, then maybe to wing it. I mean, you know, you know, I was like, what about today? The Panthers are in cell phone now. You know, what's under the radar name for me is Adrian Rear. He's not a center. Yeah, I like him a lot. And, um, he only makes 850 K. So easy to absorb on the cap. I think he, I know he's moving and, uh, I like him for a bunch of teams. So it's another name. You know, Braden Shenz, I think it's probably too rich for Edmonton. But boy, what he, you know, you like to think about different things. And, you know, the blues are open to moving them, but they would have to retain. Significant salary on him for that to work. Well, sometimes you, you know, you have a discussion on one trade. And it morphs into another trade a couple days later. Like that's, that's been known to happen before.

15:37I'm going to, I'm going to be a treat to see, you know, does, does Vancouver and Dallas make another deal? You know, you, you want to a bit here. Actually, the whole situation Vancouver just makes me wonder. So, uh, you know, where's Calgary at? Like, you know, and what, and I guess I'll leave you with this. Um, so you mentioned Weger. Any, you heard anything at all on Nazum Calgary or Blake Coleman for our friends down in Calgary that listen to the show? Well, here's what I would say. Yeah, I'm Audrey, because I'm really interested in where that goes. And my, what I was told today by a couple of different sources is that the teams that have continued to call Calgary on. Calgary have told the flames that you guys need to retain salary on the rest of the deal for us to pony up here. Um, you know, led by Colorado, if, if they have decided to finally, you know, make that offer. Um, you know, Montreal is stayed in there to certainly agree as well.

16:38But, but I think every team that's called us and you need to retain. I know Calgary still has other, you know, a couple years, it's 7 million a year or three years, sorry. And so you can see why, but you can also see why the flames are like, they're terribly interested in that prospect. So that's where I'm wondering where that's going to go, because I just don't think. You know, most of the teams involved want him X 7 million past this year. And, um, and there's other ways to make the money work. I mean, players changing hands can make the math to cap change to so you can be creative. But, but I do think it's that's one of the real main points there in the Calgary conversation on Coleman. I think all along the flames have needed to be really. Really pushed to the on a trade because they, they're okay if he's the one guy that's staying as a leader for the young team. So it doesn't mean it won't move for five days, certainly like, but I'm just telling you that if he doesn't, that's not down the world for Calgary.

St. Louis Blues sound like they're moving defenseman Colton Paraco to the Buffalo Sabers, the recurring- It still has not accepted the trade, you know. He does have a clause, I was going to say that, but that's NHL today. All right.
