Trust God in the Chaos

0:00Good morning, family, and welcome back to Trading with Jesus. It's Saturday, so the charts are closed, and today gives us a chance to slow down, reflect on the week, and remember something. Acts chapter 23 makes very clear. Chaos does not mean God has lost control. Paul is standing before the Sanhedrin surrounded by opposition, conflict, and people who want him silenced. From the outside, his situation looks like everything is falling apart, but God is still working. That matters because sometimes trading weeks feel like that too. Maybe you took losses. Maybe you missed clean setups. Maybe you broke a rule. Maybe the market felt messy and nothing went the way you expected. It is easy in those moments to believe that one bad stretch means everything is going wrong. Acts 23 reminds us not to judge the entire story by one difficult chapter. In Acts 23 11, the Lord stands by Paul and tells him to take courage. Paul does not receive that encouragement after everything is fixed. He receives it while he is still in trouble.

1:05Family, that is powerful. God's presence is not dependent on perfect circumstances. You do not need a green day to know God is good. You do not need a payout to know he is faithful. You do not need the market to cooperate in order to have peace. Then later in Acts 23, more than 40 men make a plot to kill Paul. From a human perspective, that is serious pressure, but the plan is exposed through Paul's nephew, the Roman commander intervenes, and Paul is moved safely to Caesarea under heavy guard. God used ordinary people, unexpected information, and even Roman authority to protect Paul and keep his purpose moving forward. That should encourage us. Sometimes God's protection does not look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like a trade you never entered. Sometimes it looks like getting stopped out before a bigger move against you. Sometimes it looks like your rules preventing you from doing something emotional. Sometimes it looks like a closed door that frustrated you in the moment but protected you

2:08later. We have to be careful not to call every uncomfortable outcome a failure. Acts 23 also shows Paul using wisdom in the middle of pressure. He understood the division between the Pharisees and Sadducees and responded strategically. Faith does not mean turning your brain off. As traders we pray, but we also prepare. We trust God, but we still manage risk. We have faith, but we still review the data. We surrender the outcome, but we still take responsibility for our decisions. So on this Saturday review the week with that mindset. Do not just ask how much did I make? Ask. Did I trade with discipline? Did I honor my risk? Did I let fear or greed control me? Where did God protect me from myself? Where do I need to improve before Monday? Proverbs 1921 reminds us that we can have many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail.

3:08That does not mean every trade outcome is divinely scripted for our benefit. It means our lives are bigger than the market and our confidence ultimately rests in Christ. Family, one rough week cannot cancel God's faithfulness. One mistake cannot erase your growth. One loss cannot define your future. Learn what needs to be learned, correct what needs to be corrected, and then release the rest. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for Acts chapter 23, and for reminding us that you are still sovereign when life feels uncertain. Help us trust you in the middle of pressure and not only when circumstances improve. Give us wisdom to review our decisions honestly, humility to correct our mistakes, and discipline to manage what you have placed in our hands. Protect us from fear, greed, pride, and discouragement. As we prepare for another week, remind us that our peace, identity, and future are found in Jesus Christ, not in our P and L, in Jesus name, Amen.
