Good morning, family, and welcome back to Trading with Jesus. Before we look at the charts today, Acts chapter 21 gives us a powerful picture of what obedience looks like when the path ahead is uncomfortable. Paul knows hardship is waiting for him in Jerusalem, yet he remains committed to what God has called him to do. Acts 21 11 shows the prophet Agabus warning Paul that imprisonment awaits him. Then in Acts 21 13, Paul says he is ready not only to be bound, but even to die for the name of the Lord Jesus. Family, that is conviction. Paul was not driven by comfort. He was driven by obedience. That speaks directly to us as traders, because trading constantly puts comfort and discipline against each other. Comfort wants us to chase because we hate missing moves. Comfort wants us to move the stop because we do not want to accept the loss. Comfort wants us to increase size after a bad trade because we want the money back quickly. But discipline says follow the plan
even when it feels uncomfortable. Sometimes the right decision does not feel good in the moment. Acts 21 also reminds us that warnings and difficulty do not always mean we are on the wrong path. Paul knew challenges were coming, but that did not automatically mean he was supposed to turn around. In trading, we have to develop discernment too. Not every red trade means the setup was bad. Not every uncomfortable session means something is wrong. Not every setback means you need a new strategy. Sometimes the question is simply, did I follow the process? If the answer is yes, then accept the outcome and move forward. If the answer is no, then own it, correct it, and learn from it. But do not confuse pain with failure. Later in the chapter, Paul arrives in Jerusalem and is misunderstood. People accuse him unfairly, a crowd turns against him, and eventually he is taken into Roman custody. That is another lesson for us.
Doing the right thing does not guarantee that everyone will understand you, support you, or agree with you. The same applies in trading. Your process may look boring to someone else. Your risk may look too small to someone else. Sitting out may look like fear to someone else. None of that matters if you know you are being disciplined. You do not need to prove anything to the market. You do not need to prove anything to other traders. And you definitely do not need to force a trade just because somebody else caught the move. Your responsibility is obedience to the process, not comparison with somebody else's result. Acts 21 also shows the importance of community. Paul was surrounded by believers who loved him, prayed with him, and cared deeply about what he was facing. Family, we need that too. We need people who will encourage us, but also people who will tell us the truth. People who will remind us of our rules when emotion gets loud. People who care more about our character than our P and L,
but ultimately our confidence has to rest in Christ because there will be moments when the path is unclear. There will be moments when the outcome is uncomfortable. There will be moments when obedience costs something. And in those moments, we have to remember that Jesus never promised comfort. He promised his presence. So today, trade with that perspective. Do not chase comfort. Choose obedience. Do not let fear make decisions for you. Choose discipline. Do not measure every decision by how it feels. Measure it by whether it aligns with what you know is right and above all, keep your heart surrendered to Jesus. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for Acts 21 and for the example of Paul's courage and obedience. Give us discernment when the path is unclear. Discipline when emotions rise and courage when doing the right thing feels uncomfortable. Help us accept outcomes we cannot control and remain faithful to the responsibilities you have given us.
Protect us from fear, comparison, greed and the desire to force results. Surround us with wise people who sharpen our faith and keep our confidence rooted in Jesus Christ above everything else in Jesus name, Amen. Have a blessed day family. Choose obedience over comfort. Trust God with what you cannot control and no matter what happens on the charts, remember that Jesus is King over it all.
