It is the 10th of September, and we are going to finish off rattling through the Premier League transfer windows of the summer of 2026, and we will begin with Manchester City. So going out, man will a kanji. He'd been alone. That's fine. Nathan Ackie, I didn't like the sale of and they got a very small fee. James Trafford, they did very well, got a great fee for him. Losing Roderie, I just think is is an absolute good punch. He he was their best player for probably the last four years. I would say he was better than Katie being Katie bees last few years. I think Roderie's been the best player there for four years. Obviously had the ACL, but nonetheless, Rinders was a flop. I said he was going to be a flop.

1:00He was a flop, but they got a good price from because they sold him to Saudi. They got a great price for Savinio. No question. Didn't really like the sale of Nicholas Jack or Nico Gonzalez. I think it's Jack's Nico Gonzalez. I kind of feel like they undersold to only get 48 for him when you got 52 for Rinders. It's a bit strange. Lone dead a bunch of players as they do. Signings, Matisse, to Matisse, to Torbe. Very talented young left-winger. He's gone on loan for the season. Pierce Charles, very talented young goalkeeper. He's gone on loan for the season and Jeremy Munger immensely gifted. He's gone on loan. Ellie Anderson, overpay without question. I would have done it in a heartbeat. No doubt about it. You had to get that one in the door. He is, I think he's brilliant. I think he's the best English midfielder right now.

2:02Well, that said, Alex Scott has been better since January. Alex Scott's been the best midfielder in the leagues since January. But overall, I would say Anderson's a notch above. And I think those two, if you wanted a two for England, that's the two. If you want to put a third one in there, I'd put Wharton there. I might play Declan Rice at right back because I think he's a right back. Duronimo Rooley, meh. A. Abouadi is immensely talented, but again, it's an overpay. I wouldn't have done an overpay to that extent for him. A land from Palmyri is talented. Is he as talented as some of the other players they've sold in recent years? Definitely not. But I see why they've gone and gotten him. I'm an enjoy 65 million to the rich for a guy that doesn't produce it. Tom, but he's a very good player. And I think he'll fit well at city. If given time, I can't believe they paid that for Enzel. I really cannot believe they paid that for Enzel.

3:05My issue with city is because included in the players that left. Marmouche on loan. So there's your backup striker gone. OK. And then the ones they released Bernardo Silva at John Stones. So stones and ackey gone from your defense. You didn't bring in any defenders. You see, you weaker defensively. You've downgraded at the goalkeeper position from Trafford to Rooley. So you're worse in your goalkeeping group. And while I love Anderson and I do like Buaddi, and I do really like Enzel, you've downgraded in midfield as well. To go from Rodri Bernardo, Nico, and Rinders to Anderson, Buaddi, and Enzel,

4:08it's a downgrade because Rodri is the best of that group. Anderson is probably seconds. I would put Bernardo and Enzel three and four. Nico is still better than Buaddi. I think they've downgraded in midfield. And they haven't strengthened enough in attack to make up for that. And Joy is a really good addition. But who's your back up number nine? Who's your starting right back? I'm looking at their squad. There isn't really a right back in the squad. Rico Lewis is probably the closest thing. He's not a right back. Maybe Vitoris finally gets opportunities. I think he could be a very good right back, though he is a center back by nature. They've been playing cushion off there. I think he's better in the middle. Matthias Nunes played their last season. He was pretty good to be fair, but he's not a right back.

5:09You know, I have made your questions over this city team. I'm not in love with Donna Roma. Diaz is definitely slowing significantly. Gay, he's overrated. Good, but not great. Vardial is the best defender there. And they don't seem to know where to play him. Yeah, I mean, look, if they add Nico Riley as a midfielder this year, less of a left back, more of a midfielder, then that does help balance things out. But I still think they might have gotten weaker in the summer. They spent 455.8 million. They brought in 319.4 million for sales. But then of course, also lost stones and Bernardo on freeze. I don't know. I'm not in love with this window at all. I'm going to give it a B minus because I love the signing of Anderson. And I would have overpaid for him and a heartbeat. I'm disgusted that Liverpool weren't in the mix for him.

6:12Now it might not have mattered. He might have been set on city the whole time along, who knows. But to lose Rodry, I can't go any higher than a B minus. Manchester United, I'm going to just say I write it. I don't really like what they did because they didn't do nearly enough. Number of loans out nobody of any real importance released Casamiro and San Show sold a bunch of players that were academy players that were making the grades. Obviously, Rasmus Hoyland, they lost a rarer on that one. Incomings, Andre Santos, I do really like him as a player. I think you overpaid a little bit based on what he done in Chelsea. But I do really like him. I don't like the signing of Taylormans. I said that at the time. He's got the legs with 33 year olds. And I just don't think you can carry that. Carol Darlo, whatever backup keeper, third choice, maybe backup, who knows. Tyne and Thompson's talented, but he's not going to feature.

7:15Christian Arosco's talented, but he's not going to play. I'm curious as to, you know, it doesn't even play in the cops this year, but he is a very counter player. And I do like the signing of Belieber. So like if you say to me right, Santos and Belieber, that's really good. It is really good. That's a very good pairing. And the main who can beat the third and then you're still paying Telemann's huge money to be the fourth and I don't like that. My issue is you didn't address center back. You just enter back situation is terrible. You didn't address left back. You didn't address left wing. You focused all summer on central midfields. And you didn't address left back left wing or center back. And you've been lining up with the same defense that Galali's going to solch her sight. And then got Eric 10 Hague sacks.

8:16And that's not good. And it's not a good defense. There's never been a good defense. And I don't like your window. So I'm going C minus for Manchester United. And now I'm going to go to break it. I'll come back and I'll do a new cast and nottingham for us. So see you in a sec. Right. Welcome back. So the tune. The tune. I've had a bizarre summer. Obviously it began with the Gordon situation where he decided he'd outgrown the club. They got great money for him. That was followed up with getting great money for Tanali and then getting great money for Bruno Gamerish. And everybody decided to just write them off. You know, everybody decided to write them off. They also let black edema's going to free. Harris and Ash be left in a free. And oh no, they're gone on loans. And they're going to lose Alex Murphy's gone on loan. They loaned Nick voltamatta, which I didn't like. I would have wanted to see him stay around.

9:17But I understand it like he's looking for a bit more dynamism in the attack. The obviously the biggest thing was the change of manager with Eddie how going. Yasley coming in. I've been talking about Yasley on this podcast for years. I thought he would have been a great appointment for a bride and a born with a friend for the palace. This is a bigger, more prestigious opportunity. Wasn't sure he was ready for. But he looks ready. I love what they did. I think their business is outstanding. To be honest, they've come out of this summer with a next spend of around 30 million. And I actually think they're a better squad. So last year they had a massing goal. This year, Hornacek looks, looks good. And you and Jaun by all accounts immensely talented. So I think they're setting goal now for a long time. They add buzz to array. He's role, but the potential is there.

10:19He's going to add a new dimension to that team down the left once he's fitting up to speed. Sean Stewart and Elijah Bamber to massive massive and in Bamber's case, literally as well as figuratively massive midfield talents. Do like the signings. A more dead itch. Very good fullback. Is he a starter when Liverpool mental's fit that remains to be seen. But he can play both sides. So if he's the third fullback, that's still a really good addition. So you're stronger in goal and you're stronger now defensively because he didn't lose anyone important defensively. He kept Lewis Hall. Liverpool Gonzalez. Love it. I think that's one of the best signings of the summer. He was missed cast at City. He never got to play next to Rodry on a regular basis. You put him next to Bamber or Miley or Stewart.

11:21And I think that's going to be a strong midfield, not as strong as the midfield they lost. Developers he taken a step back in midfield. But I think it's a short term step back. I think the midfield group as a whole will be seen as stronger in two years than it was two years ago. You've got the three you've brought in plus Miley. Willowke looks reborn. Ramsay looks reborn. That midfield all of a sudden looks like a position of strength with depth. Now you've still got the Jolington thing to figure out, but it is what it is. Matthias Fernandez-Pardos a good sign. He's a good player and you bring him in with two array and Gordon leaves that your attack has improved. You're going to get more from this more from a Lange this season. You're already getting more. They've been really good to start the year. Harvey Barnes is playing well. Newcastle in my view have improved overall as a squad this summer.

12:25For a net spend of 30 million, I think it's very impressive. Now, as a best 11, you are losing to Nali in Gamerish. So maybe it's a slight step back, but let's not forget. They were garbage last season. What they finished 12th. I think this is a top half squad. And I think in the 27-28 season, they look even stronger. I think this gives them a reset. There's not as drastic as Villas because it's only three players as opposed to the amount of Villalos. But similarly, it's a financial reset as well as a cultural reset. You're moving out older players. You're getting more on a timeline that maybe when all of these players hit mid-20s, you're in a position to go and win the major honors. I think ultimately, Yassley will prove to be a higher ceiling manager than how. For right now, Eddie House floor is higher than his because he's young and he's in experience.

13:26And how he's been around the block a few times. He's got a way to, you know, very worse. You're not in the relegation battle. But I really like what they did. I'm going to give them an A. I'm going to give Newcastle an A because they were put into a really difficult position by three senior players basically forcing their way out. I think they've reacted brilliantly. I think Ross Wilson, the sporting director, has had an absolutely tremendous window. And Ross Wilson is an interesting one because I was a big Ross Wilson fan back in the day. I thought he was one of the best open-coming operators in football. He was at Watford. Then he went to Hottosfield. He did really well there. He did set Hampton. He was outstanding there. He went to Rangers and obviously as part of his time at Rangers, Stephen Gerrard was there.

14:31They want to lead title together. I think he did well early with transfers there, but I think they overspent and I think it hurt him in the latter years because he was trying to make budget balance and he was having the ship players. They probably didn't want to ship. He went to Forest and quietly, I think he actually did a very good job at Forest. He was chief football officer, was his tagline there. But quietly I think he did a very good job. And I think he's done a brilliant job since joining Newcastle. I really do. I think it was very clear early in this window that Ross Wilson had control. You know, so Eddie Hau resigned on the 31st. So prior to Eddie Hau going, they'd signed Joan, Bamba, Stewart and Ture.

15:35None of them are Eddie Hau signings. The fact that Lucas Hornacek arrived a couple of days later, that's not an Eddie Hau signing either. That's him. And that is Ross Wilson at work. And I think that's a big part of why Eddie Hau ultimately threw the toys and left is because Ross Wilson had been given the keys to the recruitment vehicle. I think he's had an absolutely brilliant window and I'm going to give it an A. Nottingham Forest, right, transfers out David Carmel, Ellie Anderson, Taylor Wani and Omar Richards finally leaves. Omar Richards was signed by them in 2022 for 8.5 million euros. This is before Ross Wilson. So that's not Ross Wilson signing. He arrived with a hairline fracture in his leg, which was somehow missed in the medical. In four years, contracted to the mean never played a game. He basically missed all of 22, 23 because it was like a stressed fracture, like a stress

16:38hairline fracture and it just took ages to heal. And then he spent, I think the better part of three seasons, maybe two and a half seasons on loan. First would a limpy acos and then what Rio Ave in Portugal, both of which are owned by Marinacos. He's now made a permanent move to Aris in in Greece. They're not one of the bigger clubs, but they're one of the bigger clubs outside the big clubs. They've won the Greek title three times, but not since 1946. They've won the Greek club once. That was 1970. They've been in Europe a number of times over the years. And you know, they played a decent sized stadium as a decent sized club and it's in a very, very attractive looking city. Tessa Loneke, I think is the way it's pronounced. It's in the administrative region of central Macedonia, which is a very pretty place in

17:39itself. I'd imagine the way of life is magnificent and fair play to all my richards who in his career has gotten a move to bar and Munich. He's gotten a move to limpy acos and now, you know, he's lived in Portugal and played there for two years and now he's moving by to Greece. He's given the dream fair play to the fellow. Fair play to the fellow. I love to see it. Lones out of silver, backward to silver, morayra, bin, and Omar Huchinson, I don't like that loan at all. I actually just really don't like that loan. Zach Abbott's gone and loan and Marathol's gone and loan, which surprised me a little bit because I thought he was a good backup. They lose Willie Bali Angus, gone and Stefan or Tegga by choice. They released all but or Tegga did go to limpy acos. I have a sneaking suspicion that when he signed for forest in January or whenever that

18:45whenever when did he sign for forest was a January was the last summer was January. Yeah, signed for his forest. They paid a fee, Gordon, gave him a six month contract but my sneaking suspicion is that he was always going to go to limpy acos. That when he signed for forest, it was with a view to go into limpy acos. Anyhow, in comics, Javrashlager, good player, reliable, but can't be a rally at Anderson replacement. Usman Diamandai loved the signing. Stefan Bender, it'd be fine as a backup. Liam Delap, overpay, but I do see division and I like the signing. And Daniel Manoulson is a great sign. Great, great signing for. But Ellie Anderson left and you didn't replace. Ellie Anderson left and you didn't replace. I cannot get past that with nodding in forest window.

19:49I refused to accept Javrashlager and again he's good but he's not Ellie Anderson. You weren't you weren't going to get an Ellie Anderson in the door but you couldn't have got a guy that could have become an Ellie Anderson. You went after a few. You tried for throwhold, you tried for Bergval, you were in the mix for others, you tried for Yasniyari by all accounts. I feel they've left themselves short one in midfield. You could have gotten a key Smith, I think that would have been a really good move. Now maybe you had financial constraints because you have spent heavily in recent years, a last summer you spent a lot of money and the summer before that you spent a lot of money. So maybe you were just constrained by finances but yeah I don't love the fact that you haven't replaced him. You're overpaid for Delap but I see it. I really like Minos and I really like them, the Monday. I'm going to go beat you minus for them as well. I'll go to break. I'll be back with Sondaland and Spurs.

20:50Right welcome back. So Sondaland, Lone Daush, Alexich, Selt and Dingra. They sold Jones, Jackson, Roussen, Mayenda which is I think a bit of a loss. And Bella, Abdolahi, Masawaka left, Held left, Patterson got a good fee for him and Luis Samedo left. You loaned in Kevin Danzo. I actually quite like that. I said you were one short centre back, you got a centre back, fair play. Thomas Munie is washed, don't like it. Dayan Metali lovers, absolutely love, great signing, huge, huge prospect that left back. Jules Ahoka, Biola Kance, he is a tremendously good ball winner, a ball of energy, potentially another Noah Siddiqui. So I like it, especially at that price. Malik Fafana, I'm not as high in him as others, he's very talented, he's very small and

21:52I do have concerns with that. You got him at a decent price though. And one Rikame Angulo from independent De La Valley, Biola Kance is very talented. He's a strong player. I don't have an issue with the incomings, other than are any of them actually ready to play regularly. Now, Metali I think can be, I don't know if the rest are. This is an important season, it's your second season, the league, you've got Europe, that's going to factor in as well. I'm a little bit concerned about Sondaland this year, if I'm being honest. I am a little bit concerned about Sondaland this year. If I had a decent start, lost at Ipswich, but it was a tight game, obviously you beat Fulham and then the draw against Brentford was a good result. But I do just have some concerns, I would have liked Warner 2 ready made additions to that first team. Like I say, Metali might be, but he's still only 20 and he's a little bit raw and his

22:58defensive focus can drift, so we'll see, great athlete though, great, great athlete. I'm going to give it a C, even though I like the incomings, it doesn't hit the right marker, a C plus, C plus because I do like the incomings, but it doesn't hit the right markers for me. Not with Europe, not with Europe, you have Europe this season, you want to make an impression, I felt like you needed a couple of experienced operators who entered his team, you didn't get in, other than Munei who's who's washed. I suppose Kevin Danza was well, but he's only there on loan, did I have an option to buy? I don't know, I don't know. Kevin Danza or Joing Sondaland, let's see, do you have an option to buy Kevin Danza, who's actually better than people think, season long, loan, doesn't say, doesn't say on

24:04the Sondaland website, but look, hopefully he does well for them. C plus, and finally we land with Tottenham Hotspur, loaned out Dragazan, Melia, Mingyuk, Vicario, Mikey Moore, Sousa, Papmatar, Sar, Kota Takai, Danza obviously in a number of other young players, sold, Vélez, who never worked out in England, Alfie divine, a little bit surprised, they sold him, Lucavuski which dreadful decision to sell him, Tyne and Thompson, I don't think they did a choice, I think he kind of forced that one. Will Langshier, surprised, they sold him, Manor Solomon getting rid of him, can always only be a good thing. Ashley Phillips, a little bit surprised, they could bat on him, but it's, you know, decent fee, Romero, he wanted to go, Spence, he wanted to go, and then Dean Scarlett, a little bit surprised as well, though he is now 22 and he was, yeah, he

25:09wasn't going to make the grade for Spurs, you know what, fair enough, fair enough, hopefully he does well, a late noise. Lones in, Marmouche, Lone with an obligation, yeah, quite like it, the fees reasonable, Moudric Lone with an option, how do I phrase this? I don't think it's the right club, I think he needed to go somewhere where he'd specifically play, he would exclusively play right wing and not left wing. Spurs are kind of overloaded at right wing, they're kind of overloaded at left wing a little bit as well, but you know, it is what it is. He's already injured. The option to buy price is maybe the most faracical thing I've seen all, when those 75 million for a fella that hadn't kicked the ball into years, would you go away and take your face for a shot? Other incoming

26:09things then, Dubravka, Robertson and Senece on freeze. I get Senece, he's a very good ball player, he's not a good defender. Robertson has washed, Dubravka has washed. You overpaid drastically for Jan Paul Van Hecker. In fact, you basically gave up the best, one of the best young centre backs in the world, certainly the best 19 year old centre back in the world and four million to buy a fella who can't defend and had one year left in his contract. So that's not very good. Love the signing of Fernandez, it is an overpay, I would have done it. Like the signing of Tanali, it is an overpay, I wouldn't have done it. Savio as he's now known, I like the signing, it's an overpay. I don't know if I would have done it. Maybe I would have. Maybe, but I like him as a left wing or not a right winger. And then Tosin for seven million, I mean, I don't really know why, like unless Danzo asked

27:13to go, I'd rather have Danzo than Tosin, I have to be honest, I don't like it. I like the ambition, I like going and getting Fernandez, I like going and getting Tanali. And you beat Man United to both of those signings and you got them in with competition for their signatures. But I don't like the rest. Like I said, I like Savio, was he a necessary signing? I don't think he was. I'm looking at your squad, right? Kinski Dubravke and Austin and Gold, you've downgraded in gold. I get the carrier wasn't good last season, but you've downgraded in gold. We don't know if you've got a goalkeeper now you can trust. You have massively downgraded defensively. Like it is an enormous downgrade to go from Romero van de Ven, Dragozen Danzo Vuskevich to van de Ven van Hecker,

28:25Sinesi Tosin and Ben Davies. That's a ludicrous downgrade quite frankly. It's an absolutely ludicrous downgrade. You've also sold Jad Spence, so you're weaker at fullback as well, because the replacement in some ways is Andy Robertson, who's not as good, not nearly as good anymore as Jad Spence is now. So don't like that. You've upgraded in midfield and you've got a really strong midfield group, no question. In attack, lots of really exciting players, lots of exciting winners, just tell me who's getting your 18-20 golds a season? Who's getting your 18-20 golds a season? Got worse defensively weaker in goal and you haven't signed a gold score that you know you can trust.

29:32It's a lot of money, 311 million to have such big questions left. It is step one of a rebuild. It must be said. But you've started the season dreadfully. And again, who score in goals? Who's stopping goals? I don't like it. I love the signing of Fernandes. I really want the Liverpool to go and get him. It pained me that he went to spurs. I like the signing of Tinali, I like the signing of Savio, but what you've done in defence is outrageously bad. Outrageously bad. And it's not that you didn't buy a reliable gold score. You didn't even target one. I mean, the other forwards you were going to buy were Cody Gack-Bowl or Illuminand Jai. And Gack-Bowl can get you some goals and Jai in the right set up maybe can,

30:36but they're not number 9s. So I don't love it. I don't love it at all. But for the one I love in the two I like, I'll go with a C and I'll leave it at a C. But I think they thought they were going to have an A-Window. It was never going to be an A-Window once you agreed to buy Van Hecker for that price and then compound the disastrous signing by selling Vuskivic for less. Who authorized that? Like if Ramera was going to go, that's fair enough. But then Vuskivic Van Deven should have been your starting pair without a shot over that. Instead you've got Van Hecker who's I'm sorry he's a good ball player. He's a terrible defender. See, I will see you all tomorrow. Bye bye.
