Transfer Window Reviews Part 2: The Two Footed Podcast

We are going to carry on looking at summer transfer windows. No, no Champions League games and League Cup games took place last night. We'll talk about them on extra. But for now, we're going to launch back in yesterday. We did Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea and Coventry. Today, we have Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Hull, Ipswich, Leeds and Liverpool, which for tomorrow will leave City United, Newcastle, Forest, Sondland and Spurs. So Crystal Palace. Out the door. Maxence Lacroix. Got a good price for him. Daniel Monos.

1:01I think that's actually huge loss. Justin DeVenny, I was shocked that they sold him. He genuinely was shocked. And Brennan Johnson in a swap deal. They also sold Danny Imre, Teo Adam, Adara Mola and a couple of other young players, including David Olso, who's a little bit surprised they let go. They loaned in Evan Gesson, who was their last season for the second half of the year. Axel Dessassi, Honest Ahonor. Honest Ahonor. And Dario Osorio. So Gesson knows the club and they know him. So that's fair enough. Dessassi, as a replacement for Lacroix, I suppose he's not terrible, but he is error prone. Ahonor is an enormous talent. I think that was a reaction to Chadi Riyadh getting injured. But obviously he's not a long term fix for them. Dario Osorio is an interesting one because he is talented, but he hasn't exactly set the

2:06Danish league on fire. So I'm curious to see how he does in the Premier League. Kanye adopt to it. They loaned out Matthias Franca, Raksaki, Roman Ezzi went back to Millwall and loan, born as Sosa, Rio Cardines and Owen Goodman. So signings wise, Minges on a free I like, I think he's good. Is he a starter, possibly, but he can fill a bunch of positions, so he's a good player to have in the squad. Tommy Asu, I think they just signed him because he was there training. To be honest, I don't think there was anything else to that. Get Dwight McNeil in a swap for Brennan Johnson, which makes the Brennan Johnson deal an absolute disaster for them. They paid 40 million. They swapped him for Dwight McNeil, who was maybe were 20. I think they were going to sign him for 20 in January. Ahonan Kalali, he looks promising. He's big and he's physical and he's quick.

3:06He's definitely a downgrade on Munoz in the short term. They paid a big fee for him. Now he failed a medical to go to want to see Inter Milan. So I'm curious there. Now in all Syria has slightly stricter rules than the Premier League. It's the league that made the decision not not enter that made that decision. So we'll see. Xavier Gozo is a very talented winner, but he's not Premier League ready. Ben Chilwell on a free and then on deadline day they got Quentin Timberin. The Quentin Timber is a good player. Don't feel he's ever fully recovered from the ACL tear. And I have some question marks there. I was not impressed by him at final. Sorry, at Marseille. Marseille only bought him. Let's not forget in January and they're selling him already. So that's a bit curious. They did make a good profit though because he had, I think he had six months left on his

4:09deal. He's a good piece in profit and maybe that's the only reason they bought him was to make a profit. If he gets back to his best, he will be a good player and he's a good fit with Wharton if he's at his best. It feels like a window that lacked an ambition. You know, there's none of those players that you're looking at that have come in that you're thinking are an improvement on what they had last season. So I am concerned. I also don't like to see Premier League clubs make profit in a window where they needed to be ambitious. The reason Glasner left is because he felt the club couldn't match his ambition. You've done really well to go and get PSAGE and then you've given him an unambitious window. It's a lot of me. For me, it's a C minus window. I'm not impressed. Everton. Not next on the way out Dwight McNeil in that swap, Beto, Soul to Fiorentina, Tim Irubunum,

5:14Soul to Hole, don't like that deal. Illumin and Jai, Soul to Man City, that's your best player gone. And Nathan Patterson, Soul to Hole after injuries in a lack of development meant that his move from Rangers was not a success and they lost a rarist on that deal as well. In Jack Riddish on loan while Adam Asno goes out on loan. They signed Hayden Hackney, love that. To reach George and Merlin Roll were their last season. They've just made those deals permanent. Norguard for peanuts is a solid signing. Brennan Johnson in that swap and the namesly Maetlan Niles on Deadline Day. They did also obviously lose Idrissegane Gay and Shameless Coleman but Idrissegane Gay is the more noted one because he was important for them. Coleman has been kind of washed for years. They made a 45 million profit this summer.

6:17And I don't see that they're better than they were last year because Grelish was there last year, Roll was there and George was there. Norguard in for Gay, Me Johnson in for Dwight McNeil, Me. Maetlan Niles sure hack me I love and he does improve them in midfield but then you lose battle and you don't replace them. And now as I look at your squad, the only number nine you have is here in O'Barry. The only number nine is here in O'Barry. Who is fine. I think he's a good player but he's 23 years of age and he scored eight league goals last season, 11th year before for Vial and nine the season before that for Basel. This is not a proven goal scorer and when you look at the group behind him, without

7:21an enjoy there, it's a bit middling. Grelish, you don't know what you're going to guess. Tariq George is talented, Tyler Dibbling is very talented. Brennan Johnson is very hot and cold. Juice Bihol was excellent last year and I still like Carlos Alcarez but I don't see that there's any more near enough goals in this squad. I mean, the highest scoring player in the squad for Everton, goals for Everton is Michael King. Now he's also played the most games of all the pickford but Michael King. With 19, Tariq George has 12, juice Bihol has 9, Tarcoski has 7, Michael Enkel has 4, Alcarez and Jacob Bryan have 3, James Garener has 5, excuse me, missed him, Dac Relish has 2, George Johnson and Maitland Niles all have 1, there's no goals in this squad.

8:31I have massive concerns. I don't mind the business that they did but you let your best attacker go, you replaced him with whatever Jack Grylish has left and you sold your better number 9 and didn't replace him at all. And I mean, right back was clearly a position of priority all summer and I like Enzel Maitland Niles. I think he's a solid player but on deadline day that's your answer. You could have had him in June. Why didn't you sign him in June? Why did you scramble around all summer and end up with this window? Like they signed Hayden Hackney in the 2nd of July, the George and Roll deals they were done previously because those were options and obligations to buy, those deals were going to happen.

9:31And then you don't do anything till the 5th of August when you bring in Christian Norgards and then there's this swap and then you're going to do a retarlison and cash for NJ deal. Retarlison is awful and even he turned it down. I don't like this window for the context of where I thought ever should be going. I think it's very disappointing. I think this is truth be told a D window and it's not the players. It's the lack of ambition for the club and it's the fact that your best player left, your best number 9 left and the ira Boonham deal I hate. I don't know why you're selling him. He's good. He's outright good. He's 23 years of age and for me, probably should have been a starter.

10:32It's the lack of ambition that gets me. D forever. Paulum. Players leaving. Isadia Sassalukic. Two very experienced reliable pros. They also lose Royal Jimenez and Harry Wilson who'd been very important for them. They loan in Hugo Larson. I do very much like that deal. They buy Gonzalo Garcia, Ceso Palacias, Shay Charles, David Affengrober, Manuel Anhel and they make the Kusuari deal permanent. Now individually, I like basically all of those deals. The issue I have is that Affengrober at 25 is by far the oldest player they've signed in this window. And they lost four experienced reliable leaders from the squad. Like I look at their squad and I think it's actually, it's not bad.

11:36They needed a goalkeeper didn't do that. They should have gone and bought a right back didn't do that. So there's two marks against them. I think they've left themselves short at center back as well. All keeping group is Leno and LeComp. I'm sorry. No, that's a number two and a number three. You don't have a number one defensively. You've got Tete and Castanier for right back. Look, that's okay. That is ultimately okay. But I thought this was a somewhere you could have upgraded. You've got Robinson and Cessna who you brought back left back. I quite like that. So that's fine. But in the middle, you've got. Bassie. Quenka Anderson. And this. The Canadian kid. Did the fog or rolls, the four zeroes. I'm not sure how you say his name.

12:38He's been in your academy for a long time. I think he's actually London, normally placed for Canada. For me right now, he's probably a fifth center back rather than wanting a core four. I think you're a center back short as well. Midfield, you know, happy. I think Larson's very good. I think she Charles is very good. You've got Sandra Berger. You've got Harrison Reed. I like that for. And then in the line ahead of that. On the left and a will be complain midfield. So there's a fifth and that's really strong. On the left, you could play. Emile Smith, row. Kevin. Or Colassius, who's played there this season. Or a will be so that's pretty strong on the right. You've got Oscar Bob, who's who's good. Again, you could play Smith, row there. Again, you could play a will be there.

13:39So that's fine. In the 10. You've got Smith, row. You've got Josh King and you've got Colassius. So I really like the blend and the players they have in that line. And up front, you've got Garcia and you've got Moonos. The problem I have here is are either of them reliably going to get you 15 Premier League goals. Because I kind of feel like you might need 25 between the pair of them. And I don't know that they can do that. Again, individually, I like the players that they brought in. I have concerns about what they lost though. Not even just the individuals, but just the veteran leadership. I think it's a C plus window because I think you have to give them credit for the players they got. And I do think that by the end of the season, Shay Charles and Hugo Larson could form

14:40a very good midfield pairing. If that's too young, big, strong midfielders, both good on the ball. Shay Charles is 22. He'll be 23 in November. Hugo Larson just turned 22 this past summer. Larson is six to Charles is six to they can get around the pitch. There's no, they're not shrinking violets or anything like that. They don't play below their size. They know how to use their physicality. Larson has been schooled in the championship, which I think helps. And Larson, I mean, it's not that long ago people were told that him was a 50, 60 million pound football reader, bad year last year, and it kind of killed his value a little bit. But I think that could be a good midfield pairing that they'll have picked up there. And if King or Palacios really hit as that 10 and I really like King, then that could

15:40be a really good group. And then you've got good options. Why you've got potentially very good young striker and Garcia, like I do like what that could become. I'm not sure on the manager. I'm really not sure on our area below. We'll see what happens. But again, to lose Marco Silva is a massive issue for them. Now you can't grade the transfer window on that because that's not their fault. But I do have concerns. I'm going to give them a C plus for the window, but I worry about the lack of experience that was brought in. And I think they missed three positions they needed to hear. I think you needed to get a starting goalkeeper. I think Leno's done. I think you needed to get a new right back. I think you've gotten what you can get at a Kenny Tete and Castanier. And I think you needed another center back because I think you'll want injury away from being in a bit of bother there. Like if Anderson got injured and you have to roll out Basie and Quenka and all you've got is is the young kid as the back up.

16:42I think that's a concerning position to be in. I'll go to break. I'll be back with whole city. See you in a sec. Right. Welcome back. So obviously talked about Everton and a lack of ambition. Now we move on to whole who showed an incredible amount of ambition. So they sold because they have to sell early because they were in a risk of violating the squad calls rules. So Evor Pandor who was just starting goalkeeper last year, he got sold on the 30th of June. Then they sold Fimeiwou, they sold Casey Palmer, Kyle Joseph, Aboo Kamara and Estesthen. And then Cody drama on Deadline Day, which was a little bit surprised by I know he'd been linked with the move away, but he'd started the season for the money. He looked pretty strong, but you know fair enough off the genoa he goes and it's understandable why as we'll get to the loan didn't rob an in your vaz, which is genuinely I'm stunned

17:44that they were able to get him. He is a supreme talent. So I think they've done really well there. And then the signings, Portland didn't like it, but understood it. Oscar Zambrano really liked the signing. I think he's a very, very promising player. Matt Targett, bit of depth, bit of experience, fair enough. Marita is good. I think he'll be more of squad players the season goes along, but he's reliable, he's hard working. And you'll see a pattern emerge. Celakis was the first sort of big one of the summer for them. They were quiet through July. That's all they'd done. Portland Zambrano, Targett and Marita. On the 5th of August business really picked up. Celakis, 20 million. I have to say I was shocked because he doesn't have a ton of experience. And I was a Greek goalkeeper coming to the Greece. It's hard to judge, but and especially when like forest needed a goalkeeper, I thought

18:50and I was surprised like if he's that good, why didn't forest by him considering the link between the club, their own with the same guy. But nonetheless, Jens here at O'Dal really like him. I think he's going to be very good for them in the long run. Elliott Strude came in, can play left back, can play left wing, can play wing back. He has a bit of a variety. Lucas Harrington was a big, big get because a lot of clubs wanted him and he is a huge talent. When they added Nobel, nobel, Mendy the same day, another big talent can play center back or left back ideal for three made a ton of sense. Lucas going adores. So there's the third defensive midfielder of the summer. That's another big talent play. They got him on the cheap because he'd had a couple of rough years, but he's very, very promising. And he's still young enough that you can still get the best out of him. Joe Gellhart back to the club. I don't know these are Premier League Cal Repair, but this will be the season we can find

19:51there. And then, then I just was stunned by what took place. Muhammad Ali Cho, big time talent, hasn't yet found who he is the player. But I thought last season in particular at Nice really did start to show signs of the player he promised to be when he was at Anjus. He also cancels homegrown because he spent five years in the Everton Academy. He's very promising. And they got him at a pretty good price at 13 million. Aliess answer. Now I know there's big enough add-ons on this deal. This could go to over 20 million. But again, I think they got good value at 14 and a half guaranteed for 21 year old German under 21 international who's big and bustly and he bullies defenders and he knows how to work hard and he's got good hold of play. He is raw. He's got a lot to refine.

20:52But he's very promising. I love the Arab Unum signing for them and there's another defensive midfield player. So they went for a lot of hardworking bull winning midfielders and even here to Odaal who's not a defensive midfield player, but he's six four. He's box to box. He can sit in midfield and he can play me or he can be rangel. So I really like that signing. So I love what they did in midfield and then they add Christos Musacatus who's a high end bull player. If you put runners around him and let him dictate the game from the middle of the park, I was shocked they got him. But obviously when they were doing the Salakas deal, they probably had some conversations. I thought he'd go for more than that because from what I'd seen of them, I was thinking,

21:54okay, that'll be 2025. Someone will go and do that. He was linked to a Dortmund and a couple of others because Dortmund were having a bit of a Greek summer. But I think that's a really good get. Now, it might take him some time to adapt to the league. He's going to be a little bit lightweight at times, but he's a very, very good footballer. In the deal that sent drama to Genoa, the reason they did that was to get Brooke Northern coffee. Brooke Northern coffee is a good player. He's got good pedigree came through the Arsenal Academy. He'd been very good for Genoa. He had a really good season with Millwall and the championship a few years back, which is when I first sort of caught notice of him. Because when I saw him at Coventry, he was sort of in and out of the team. But really impressed by what he did at Millwall, been impressed by how he developed a Genoa. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets an England call up in the next couple of years. I do think he's good. Can play as a right back or as a wing back, only 22. I really like that one. And then Sorbet Thomas.

22:55And I don't know if Sorbet Thomas is a Premier League Cali player, but I do know that I love watching him play. He's one of the most entertaining players. I think playing in England at the moment. He said an unusual career. He was at West Ham, got released at 16, went to Boram Ward in the non league, made his break through there, had a loan at chess on to play, I think, in the eighth tier of English football at the time. Was there to Lee was, I want to say 22, Hoddersfield now, Abdom. Went to Hoddersfield. Talk him a bit of time to really get going, but I thought ultimately he was very good for them. He played the first season and was hitting miss. The second season he had a drop off from even that. They loaned him to, I want to say the loan to Blackburn. And he did pretty well there. And back to Hoddersfield and had a good season. And then they got relegated and he went to Nonson loan. And then he went to Stoke and his first season Stoke was really, really good.

23:58So whole of Boram of staff. And I know he's a lot of fun to watch. So I'm happy to see him in the Premier League, but I can't, I don't, he's 27, he's not played in the league. So we'll see. I love the ambition of this window. I really do. They got a goalkeeper in, they got multiple centerbacks in, I probably would have bought one more center back. I'm not in love with the left back. So Giles is good. Is he primarily good? It remains to seem to be a very good crosser. Got a really strong crop in midfield. Got a good strong crop in attack. I think this is an A minus window. I'm going to go A minus I between this and the manager who, let's be honest, none of us had heard of him when whole hired him. None of us knew who he was. Even though he'd been around a long time, none of us knew who he was.

25:01He has realized that they are up against it in the Premier League. He's realized that they need to play a certain way and he's adapted really quickly. And obviously the win over United was magnificent, but they might, I wrote them off. I'll be honest. I'll be honest with them off. I thought they're definitely going down. But seeing him operate in the Premier League and seeing. Seeing the business that they've done. I, I kind of feel like they might have a chance here. Like look at the squad. It's, it's a, it's a good squad. Like I like Charlie Hughes. I think he's going to be good this season. Harrington, I don't know how much he's going to play in the early half because he's still on the 18 and he just turned 18 on the 50 September. No, he turned 19 the fifth time.

26:01Sorry. So he's just turned 19. Mendy's young. It's a young group of defenders, but you do have experience in there as well with Stemiao Jay, Johnny again, Paddy McNair is there. Look back, you've got Norton coffee in Louis Coil, who's the club captain, left back, Giles and target. Like not perfect. But it's not bad. Keeper looks good. He looks good and Portland is a reliable backup. The midfield is so strong. It is such a strong group of midfield players. And then the attack, the concern is, is there enough goals? That is the concern. Ali McBurnie's not getting you enough goals. So they need one of Vaz or answer to hit. And if they do, they're going to have a chance of staying up. But I'm going to go A minus because I love the ambition.

27:04I really love the ambition. Ipswich will be next. So out. Here it's that's a big win to get rid of him dreadful. Ashley Young retired. That might also be a win. Wes Burns gone, Harry Clark gone, George Hurst gone. I like George Hurst, but there was no spot for him. And ultimately, I think they've had a good outgoing window. In terms of incomings, they loaned in Alex Noonan from Shamrock Rovers, which I'm curious about. I am curious about the loan of Alex Noonan from Shamrock Rovers. Are they looking to establish a pipeline into Ireland? Maybe. Could this be something that leads them to further moves in the Irish market, such as Michael Noonan from Shamrock Rovers?

28:07Possibly. He's had opportunities to go elsewhere. He's decided to stay put. Curious. Curious. Incomings. Cedric Ceparet. He was there on loan last season, experienced centre back, limited but experienced, made sense to keep him. Chuba Agpom. Also there on loan last season, wasn't great, but he's a hard working, reliable outlet. Then they started to really home. They got Emerson through the door. He looks a player, really does gamble, but he looks a player. Kane Van Oevelin brought in young goalkeeper, you know, one with promise. Fatau from Leicester loved the signing. It's a de-op, made a ton of sense. Lies and Maeda made a ton of sense.

29:10As did Sassaloukage, experienced reliable players that will give you, like Leeds did last year, getting those lads in that you know will give you six at a 10. I think they've done the same with Florentino Louise, but I think he's got a higher ceiling. Kiel Sherpen is an upgrade on what they had in terms of goalkeepers. Is he good enough? We'll find out quite quickly. Abdul O'Azzaara. I think that's a very good guess. He's a player. Who are you and see so I love. I just think that's one of the best signings of the summer. I think he's tremendous. Ezekiel Palacios to get him is a hell of a get. And I think as the season develops, him and Florentino Louise could develop into a really strong midfield pairing. And then they had Zion Fleming on Deadline Day. And I really liked Zion Fleming. I was stunned. He was still at Burnley's. Far too good for the championship. He had more than outgrown the championship. He showed last season. He's absolutely good enough to play in the Premier League.

30:13Talk him a long time to get there. But I like that signing. I really like the business. And when I take a look at the squad, there's a question Mark over at Sherpen. But I think he's good. I do. I think he's good. I think he's someone that will benefit them. They loaned out Van Oevalen. They loaned out Alhamadi, Cameron Hunfries, Sami Smodak, Ben Johnson, Kyryslicker. And Chidosey Agbana went in a half season though. But Sherpen and Gold, Parmer is a solid back. He was good for them the last time they were up. Button and Walton make up the debt. Right back. I have a doubt. I'm not a big downhill for a long fan. No, it could be the tower at Lushe plays the season at right back. Which would be fine. Which means Greaves and Diop are the starting pair in the middle of Lushe's cover and

31:15Seepra's cover. Or Tara, I expect to take one of the full backs flots as the season develops. Can play either side. Leaf Davies at left back. I'm not a huge fan. Midfield you've got Luis. You've got Palacios. You've got Lucas. You've got Nunoz and you've got Matassiwa. That's a really strong group. Really, really strong group. You've got Fattaro and Wallyegg, Gaeli, Norwegian as right wing options. You've got Philogen. You've got Jack Clarke. Mimetti, they can all play left wing. My Ada can play left wing. And C is so cool as well if you want, but I think in C is so probably plays more second striker. Emerson is the nine Fleming can play both roles. At Palm could play both roles. My Ada could play both roles. I think this is quite good.

32:16I do. I think this is quite good. I've concerns about full back. But that's basically it. And I think they actually will be fine. Because I think there's enough to make it work. It's an A window for me because it's really ambitious and I really like the business they got done. And C is so Palacios. Fattaro, I think these are all really good signings. I think my Ada, Diop and Louise are really smart. And sorry, look at you. I really smart signings. Fleming's a good signing. I really like the window. I really do. I think it's so ambitious. This went to fortune. I was going to spend a fortune in a book. I stand by what I said when they hired him. Gary O'Neal knows how to keep teams in the Premier League. It's what he does. It's a step down from McKenna as a coach. But he knows how to keep teams in the league. And I think he's going to keep them in the league.

33:18I do. I think he's going to keep them in the league. I'll be back after this break. Welcome back. So leads United. Sam Byram, Carl Darlo, Ilan Melier, Pascal Struyck, Isaac Schmidt, Max Vober, Jack Harrison, and Joe Gellhart, all gone. Loaned out Borneau, Harry Ramazzani, Nonto, Piro and Harry Gray. I'm looking forward to seeing how Harry Gray does on Loan at Sheffield Wednesday. That is the younger brother of Archie Gray, very, very talented player, very, very talented player. Loans in Melvin Bird. I said they needed another option at left back. I think that's a really good get. Now he can be a little bit inconsistent and he is a bit on the small side. But to play the back three and he's a wing back that that will get the best of him.

34:26But oh yeah, I love that signing. Now it's a gamble, but it's not a gamble because it's alone. Does he adapt quickly? Do they know how to use him? If he hits, he's going to be really good for them. Like he'll be really good for them. Coming in, Harry Wilson on a free, solid signing, primarily proven, gets goals, good free kick and corner taker, hard worker, fine. Tareek Mahermavic, I love, I love that signing. He's so good. They overpaid for James Trafford. They overpaid significantly for James Trafford and I don't love it. At Nico Elvedi, when he was like 1920, I thought he was going to be a top, top centerback. He ultimately ended up staying with watching Gladbach for far too long and he kind of stagnated and just he became a good centerback rather than a very good centerback. It's a big step into the Premier League at 28 soon to be 29.

35:27No, sorry, he's 29 soon to be 30. But he is an experienced leader. He's a very experienced international player. And in a back three, I think that's going to work. They brought in Zettarere as a backup goalkeeper from from Eintracht. He's been around a long time. He was at Werder Bremen for like 10 years, became a starter way way into his tenure there and was quite good. Ended up going to Eintracht last year. Did okay, but not great. And obviously they decided to move him on now. He'll be a solid backup. He's better than Mellie. Let's put it that way. Do you know, it's not a splashy window. But I do like it other than the Trafford overpay. And Trafford's fine. He's on a bad goalkeeper and he's a good goalkeeper. He's talented. But it is a big overpay. But Mahermovitch is a hell of a get. Bard is a good get. Wilson's a good get. Elvedi, I think, will be a good get.

36:29Bahoya has the chance to make this a very good window. He's that talented. I'm going to give it a B plus. I still worry that they don't have a reliable goal scorer because I don't trust Calvert Loon. And he's already missed a bunch of big chances so far this season and calls leads points. But I initially thought they might be in the relegation group. I don't think so anymore. I think they'll be OK. I think they'll be OK. I think they've got a really strong identity. I think that's important. Liverpool. Right. Going out. Canate, Salah, Robertson, Reese Williams, all on free. Soul Curtis Jones, Soul Stefan, the Settich. Also sold a bunch of young players. Loaned in Ronald Arrejo, love that. Absolutely love that get. Seined, Jacques, Monster.

37:29Munoz looks very promising. And Ducque, Monster. Future Monster. Bradley Barakola, unbelievable signing. Genuinely and unbelievable signing. Luca Bergman's huge talent for the future. Huge, huge talent for the future. Samuel Martinez looks a very special talent as well. He'll join next summer as well, Bergman's. Desigilion, I think it's Desigilion or Jilion and Gesson from Centretti. And that deal is done. He'll join either in January or next summer. Another supremely talented young player. In terms of what they did, in terms of incomes, that's an A window. Now, Jacques and Ducque were done ahead of time.

38:30And obviously, Gesson, Martinez and Bergman's, they're also ahead of time. But that is an A window for incomes. It really is. The problem is when you look at what they didn't do, which is right back, which is central midfield. The two biggest needs, not addressed. That is catastrophic. They sold poorly as well, failed to get players out who should have gone, failed to find a buyer for Calvin Ramsey, failed to find a buyer for Harvey Elliott, failed to find a buyer for Endo and Kieze and Simicus. So an A for incomeings, a D for outgones. And I think a D for failure to address what they needed, which was a right back and at least one. But when Curtis Jones left, definitely two midfield players.

39:33So for that reason, I can't give them anything more than a C. Even though in terms of incomes, they've had one of the best windows anybody had. Like that's an unbelievable group of talent that they've secured, especially when you look at the age profiles. Jeremy Jacques, 21 Victor Munoz, 23. In Dukwe, 18, Barcola, 23. In Gessen, 18, Bergman's is 18, Martinez is 70. Like they have future proof to squad really well. Liverpool are building an absolute monster. But they keep leaving themselves short. And the problem they're going to have is that you're going to get the next summer. You're going to have to buy a right back. You're going to have to buy two in midfield. Maybe three in midfield, depending on Alexis McCallister. Right now, they need two in midfield. If he leaves, they'll need three.

40:34Because I'm not counting endo anymore. And Gravenberg is the fourth midfielder. Subozly isn't a central midfielder. So people will count him, but I don't. And then Neonie is the fifth one, because he's a kid. And I don't want to be putting pressure on him. So right now, they need two. Come the summer, they're probably going to need three. Hopefully, hopefully it's three with, with with tray stepping up into the fourth spot. Fenerbahce, 2027, and then McCallister going wherever. Two new starters, an experienced mid-20s rotation player, plus tray. And then hopefully one of the other academy players steps up into that fifth role. The problem is you have to do all that. You're probably going to have to also buy another goalkeeper, because Alesson is almost certainly leaving. And while Brogman is a huge talent, he's not ready to walk in and start in 12 months.

41:36So you might have to go on by Robin Ryze. You're going to have to address right back. That's going to be pricey enough. Be it coyote, be it maybe you go for Ghania or something like that. That's going to be the 50 million. And all of a sudden, it starts to really add up. Ryze could be 50, right back, could be 50. There's 100 million straight at the gap. Virgil could leave. And that's going to be 100 million to replace him. It's going to be 100 million to replace him. You don't have to go on by look of Uskvich. You don't have to go on by him or somebody of that caliber. There isn't really anyone else. And then you've still got to address all the issue in midfield. So yeah, Liverpool of left and the main Kamara would have transformed this one. I would have been OK with not doing right back. If you've gotten the main Kamara in and just said, look, that's what we could do. Unbelievable. Great. It would be an A window if they'd done that even with the failure to sell.

42:39If they just bought the main Kamara, I would upgrade this from a C to an A. I'd probably say it's a C plus because it is an A in terms of income. But if they've gotten the main Kamara to be an A overall without question, that is enough for me for today. I will see you all tomorrow.
