Tour De Munster 2026 Crosses The Finish Line

Clare FM

About this episode

One of Down Syndrome Clare's largest fundraising events, The Tour De Munster, came to a conclusion yesterday afternoon.    The 600k round trip culminated with a ride up St.Patrick's hill in Cork City, with cyclists traversing this county from Killlaloe to Killimer on Friday, stopping for lunch at The Temple Gate Hotel here in Ennis.    Volunteers were fundraising up and down the county, with every penny raised in Clare put back into the delivery of services for Down Syndrome Clare, which last year enabled them to secure property for use as the company headquarters in the county town.    Clare FM's Darragh O'Grady spoke to Down Syndrome Clare representatives Orla Shannon and Donal Monaghan at the event on Friday, but first Tour De Munster founder Paul Sheridan spoke about the importance of the Tour, which is now into its 26th year.
