0:00Why, from the heartland, and the crossroads of America? It's Tony Katz today. So I'll ask again for the people in the sheep's seats. Who in the world are we negotiating with? This is the question. It's not a rude question. It's not a wrong question, and it's certainly not the ignorance of people like Joy Behar on the view who want to make the purely ignorant and altogether stupid accusation that the US military hasn't accomplished any.

1:19I don't want to take away from what our men and women have been doing over there because what they've accomplished is incredible. And if we can deter Iran at all, whether it's two years or so of the excitement. Are military? I think we've got the best military, and I think they do what they're told. No, we can't. What if they accomplished so far in Iran? What if they accomplished so far in Iran? I think any time we can deter Iran, whether it's for another year, whether it's for two years, I think that's a win for this country. Obama had a deal in place. And if you say to me, Tony, it's the view. Why do you pay attention? It's because it's what liberal white women pay attention to, which is why they're so terrible, why they're so misinformed, why they're so broken as people. And if you think that's offensive, dear Lord, keep listening. It only gets worse from here. Tony cats, Tony cats today, guys, an absolute pleasure to be with you. We've got the White House briefing that'll be coming up in the next hour. Stephen Yates will be breaking down what's going on in Iran and possible next steps.

2:23If you ask what the military has accomplished, we have accomplished what the JCPOA, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the Obama deal did not actually stopping them. Or at least proving that they were working on nuclear weapons. They were working on long-range missiles. They fired long-range missiles and now they can't. And that's better. That's clearly better. My problem is not the Joy Behar problem. The Joy Behar problem is that she is such a hateful shrew of a human being. And if you're upset with the word shrew, let me say for the record, I cleaned it up for radio. She can't honestly address the situation. Her hatred of Trump blinds any possibility, which is why her and people like her are unserious people.

3:24It's why they cannot be listened to. It's why they should be mocked, ridiculed, and ignored. They deserve every bit of laughter in their face that they get. Joy Behar is definitively a dumb woman. And the view has no interest in proactively sharing a story that matters. And as for the woman who was cheering on the military, cheering on the military is different than being asked the question, what did they do? They did what it is that Barack Obama refused to do. Barack Obama gave them runway to a nuclear weapon. We stopped that. It's better. You know what we haven't done? We haven't ended the regime. When I hear that we have a deal with Iran, I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that information. What possible deal do we have with whom?

4:39The guy that they're talking about is Mohammed Aboghrabaf, G-A-L-I-B-A-F. This was the spokesperson for the Iranian parliament. Now one could argue what kind of power the Iranian parliament has. But one can clearly say, this is not the Iatola. This is not the Supreme Leader who decides everything. And if you say to me, if we have a Supreme Leader, it's the Sun, it's Mojmetah. Where the hell is that guy? Where the hell is that cardboard cut out of a human being? He's nowhere. Right now we're dealing with Iatola Autopen. And allegedly this dude, a guy who served in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was a commander, was the mayor of Tehran.

5:39He denies there any talks going on whatsoever. As a matter of fact, not only are there not any talks going on, President Trump is saying that Iran is fired 101 missiles at the USS Abraham Lincoln. Some of them may be as of today. This is an aircraft carrier. We also have the Gerald Ford, but the Gerald Ford is making its way to Crete, if not there already, because of a fire that was on board. It's an aircraft carrier. Things do go wrong. You repair, you move on. Hopefully repair quickly. The Iranians, being people who, I should say, the Iranian regime, always talking tough. Never a moment where they're not talking tough. 24-7 tough guy. Oh, there's no deal. Oh, we're not. We're not interested. And then you get the Wall Street Journal with a world class headline of how the Iranians are playing hardball as mediators push for talks with the US.

6:44You're going to have Steve Wyckoff and some Iranians allegedly meeting on Thursday. Yes, the Iranians like to make this claim of being tough, and therefore it's hardball. They'd play a lot less hardball if they were dead. And this is where our conversation has to be. Our conversation has to be what is victory. The ignorance of the conversation on the view is, well, what is the military done? If they are proactive to disparaging the military, because they're not actually disparaging the military, even though they are, what they're doing is disparaging Trump. And when you disparage Trump, anything that gets in the wake of disparaging Trump is deemed acceptable. This is who they are. Gold Mayer, the former Prime Minister of Israel, stated that we will have peace with the Palestinians when they love their children more than they hate us.

7:46This is when the political right will have peace with the political left. When they love their country, more than they hate Trump and they do not at this moment. They hate Trump on the political left more than they love their country. This is not a debate that we're having. They state it everywhere all the time, constantly and consistently. They're not even shy about it. Ugly, ugly people. But we do have to ask ourselves, how is it that we, where is the moment where we say, you know what, this was actually worthwhile. By the way, I can feel some of you judging me and asking the question of what would make you say that the political left, they hate Trump more than they love their country.

8:48Okay, let's let Senator Chris Van Hollen, Democratic Maryland, answer the question. Senator, let me just put that to you. Who do you think is telling the truth? KC, unfortunately we've learned that Donald Trump has been lying to the American people from the start and he keeps lying to the American people, which is never a good thing. So you believe the Iranian officials over the President of the United States? I believe that based on all the information that's available and Donald Trump's track record of lying, including the big lie, which he told the American people during the campaign that he was going to keep us out of war in the Middle East. He broke that promise. He lied about Iran being an imminent threat. The United States and Israel launched this strike. He lied about Iran being on the precipice of getting a nuclear weapon. We know that because Tulsi Gabbard just testified just the opposite recently. And yes, we know he's lying when he says that the Iranians are talking with us and they're about to give Donald Trump everything he wants.

9:49Now, that is full on trying to demoralize the American troops to moralize the American people and giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Anything the President is discussing about conversations with the Iranians should we take him with a massive grain of salt because it could all be deception. We are in a fight. The problem here is not that Chris Van Holland is stupid. The problem here is that Chris Van Holland hates you more than he loves you. He hates Trump more than he loves the country. Is there any question now regarding enriched uranium at 60% and us going in and getting it, which is going to involve boots on the ground, which will be a whole nother conversation. Is there any question that the Iranians do have this capacity that could reach 2500 miles as they tried to hit the base at Diego Garcia and could hit the whole of Europe? Is there any question that the JCPOA was an unmitigated failure from a fool named Barack Hussein Obama from the fools who are the Obama bros, the Tommy Veters and the Ben Rhodes who were always wrong on this subject?

11:02Is there any question that Iran is the largest state sponsor of terror that they were engaged in supporting the Houthi rebels in Yemen attacking US and other ships traveling the Red Sea? Is there any question that the Iranian regime was supporting terrorism in southern Lebanon and Hezbollah with Hamas where Americans were killed on October 7th taking hostage and killed? There's no question, there's no doubt, not from the honest, but from the hateful, from the vile, from the vicious, from those unwilling to stop with their hate of President Trump for 30 seconds and recognize their country means more. They don't believe that. They don't believe that. These people are unworthy of your vote or your love or your time. No harm should befall them. They just can't be allowed power because Chris Van Hollen, Mr. Margarita himself, is a weak, weak man.

12:08And if you want to know who he lies to, he lies to himself because he knows that anything Trump is saying about possible deals could actually be true, could actually be on misdirection, could be something said here while he's setting up something over there. Yes, that is absolutely possible. I concede that that is possible. But this is warfare, which is the key differentiator, isn't it? Trump keeping us out of wars. Well, I was never somebody who voted for Trump on that measure. I live in the real world where everything is possible and things change on a dime and sometimes you have to deal with them. I never ascribed to the very, very childlike policy of no more forever wars. I don't even know what the hell that means. No more forever wars should mean you go in, you kill everybody in a week and you go home, you have lunch. I would suggest pastrami. I mean, after a long week, what would feel better, huh?

13:15You think I'm callous? You think I'm cold? No, I am discussing a strategy and a philosophy that I'm not interested in wars. I'm interested in ending any threat to the United States with ferocity. I'm very clear on this subject. And for the people like, oh, sure, you're totally fine going to war with other people's kids. It's always other people's kids. And this is why people who say that can't be in charge because we need adults in the room and they are still children, emotionally crippled, wrecked people. Yes, I'm fully aware I'm sending somebody else's child into war. Thank you very much. That's how it works. So we shouldn't go for light and transient causes. And we shouldn't go half-assed. We should go full. We should go overwhelming. We should go heavy. And no one remains alive from their side. That's my tank. That's my philosophy. I think it's a winner.

14:18So now we get back to where we started this thing with the fool, Joy Behar, who is a dumb woman, quote me, it's fine. What does it matter what she says? Our question is not what is the military done? Our question should be, did we achieve the objective? Did we achieve the objective? And I say to you that if any part of the regime remains, then no, we didn't. You cannot allow the regime to remain. You can allow no part of the regime to remain. Anybody connected to the IOTO will must be destroyed. Anybody connected to the IRGC must be destroyed. The IRGC, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps must be broken into. So these people can have their lives back. Terrorism is not funded. And we can stop thinking about the freaking Middle East. That's an objective. That was mine. I accept that Trump's maybe difference. And I accept that I may have to say to a man, you got that wrong. But I don't know if that's today. I don't know if that's the way it's going to be.

15:32I don't know if what's being telegraphed is actually true. I saw B2 bombers head to the West while we went to East and took out Isfahan Nathans and Fordo. I don't know right now what's ahead faking what isn't? How this will end? I don't know. I do know that the world without the terrorist regime of Iran is a better world. I do know that's not Israel trying to keep America in this. It's Saudi Arabia. That big Donald Trump to keep it up. Well, of course the Saudis want to get rid of the Iranian threat and engage hegemonic power in the region. Everyone's got their reasons. I don't know what the objective he had solves anything. I'm Tony Katz. This is Tony Katz today.

16:36White House briefing is scheduled for today. I'm going to bet money that that is going to have a little bit of fireworks to it. You've got the war and Department of Homeland Security still not funded. The Democrats won't do it. I've got to tell you, first of all, Tony Katz. Tony Katz today. How you doing? How's your mother? I've got to tell you that I may have misread a tea leaf. I expected when the Democrats started saying, well, we'll fund TSA but we're not going to fund ISA. We'll get these lines moving in. Why won't you fund TSA? Why won't you do this? I thought that Republicans were absolutely going to get walloped on that. I thought they were going to get crushed on that. Well, it's been about a week and a half. Nope. And I've got to tell you, I can prognosticate and I can take a look at everything.

17:43I can utilize my sources. I can come up with, okay, here's where I think things are going. But I made mistakes before. I'm trying to figure out why this didn't happen. How? Here you have a Democrat refusing to fund the Department of Homeland Security. And they're not even, they're not remotely shy about it. They're not funding DHS. They don't care. And they keep moving the goal posts when it comes to what they want regarding ISA. And the ISA can't do this and ISA can't do that. ISA can't do the other and ISA can't do your mother and I, well, that was just fruit. No, ISA bad. They really want ISA gone. They want people who are legally in the country to stay in the country. They want them to be voters. This is a power play. It's clear and it's obvious. It's obvious to us. And so now I'm, I'm, I'm forced to ask, is it obvious to others? Am I getting my hopes up? And that's where I've put myself. I put myself in, like, I can get a little teary-eyed.

18:48I've put myself in the place of, there's no way that's possible that the American people saw this move from the Democrats, like, oh, those people are full of crap. There's no way that happened because if it did, if it did, oh my gosh, what else is possible? And so I brought this up briefly yesterday and I wasn't sure if I was going to get into it. You know, everybody talking about the fact that Republicans are going to get slaughtered in the midterms? Now, you know I have a path to midterm victory and right now Republicans are not taking it the way I want them to take it. But this idea they're going to get slaughtered? Everything's possible and I can read it teally from. But I don't know if that's the case. Let's discuss this 30 days from now. I'm Tony Katz. So what does it mean to be a war? What does warfare actually look like and let's discuss the art of deception when it comes to warfare?

19:48It's a huge part of things. I get that we may not like it. I get that the American press can't stand it. But if you did what the American press said to do, you would lose everything all the time, everywhere. Tony Katz, Tony Katz today, good to be with you. Steve Yates joins me right now. Steve is the Senior Research Fellow in China and Natural Security Policy and is at the Young Fellow Asian Study Center with the Heritage Foundation and good to be with you. We were talking a little bit before we joined the radio show about what it is that we're seeing from President Trump when there is this conversation about how he is speaking to the Iranians and how the Iranians offered him a gift. It was about oil and natural gas. I don't know what the gift is. You take a look at the Wall Street Journal and they've got the headline, a wannabe strongman rises in Iran as Trump seeks a deal maker.

20:53And this is Mohamed Bogger, Galibov, who is the spokesperson or the speaker, I should say, of the Iranian parliament. Now, I think the first question is who made this guy as somebody who could speak for the Iranian people? And then the follow-up is how can the President make a claim that he's talking to Iran about a deal ending nuclear weapons this and ending the war that when you've also bragged that you've killed the entire leadership? Well, Tony, I think what makes it difficult for us is that a lot of these things are true at the same time. Number one, we don't really get to know who the President is talking to yet because to publicly identify that person is to put the world's biggest bullseye on them by Islamist terrorists and the remnants of the regime that are not yet cowed by getting mode over by major military operations. And the President talks about this gift, I too, sort of smile and wonder what this possible gift is.

21:53But what it sounds to me like in tradecraft is that you have someone you're talking to, but you need to know are they the real deal. And if they do something for you that you can verify is done and is of value, it's sort of like an earnest deposit on credibility. Then you say, well, if they can move those resources, they could open up this ceiling or whatever it was the test that was given. Then you know you're dealing with a credible counterpart who has some measure of influence. I seem like the President is feeling his way across the stream stepping rock by rock and doing that. And so people might not like it, people might want instant answers. I deeply, deeply doubt the instant information is durable and useful information. And I think that's necessary under the current circumstances. Now, this idea that all warfare is deception, right? That's Sun Su, the art of war. This infuriates the American people because what we want is information, what we want is answers.

22:55I can go to my phone, I can turn on any part of the internet anywhere, if you will. And I can get instant information, but I don't have information here and how the political left and how the media looks at this and shares this is, we're being lied to. We had Senator Chris Van Hollen, we're being lied to about this, lied to about the other, lied to about who's talked to you, lied to, about the thing which I consider giving, it's giving it in comfort to the enemy. How standard is this throughout our history regarding what the American people are told and what is? Well, I mean, if you go deeper and just talk about Western civilization, it goes back thousands of years. And if we were talking with Victor Davis Hanson number one, it would be a very long conversation, but it would also be very well researched on what was going on in those ancient cultures with exactly trade craft in use of power and in warfare. And political warfare, deception, manipulation, all these things are very, very important parts of comprehensive warfare and it's the way our enemies operate.

23:57It's the way the Chinese Communist Party operates. It's the way the Islamist regimes operate. They use all of these tools. I want to stop you there for a moment. If you're gambling, I want to stop you there for a second because you said something that I don't think people comprehend and I want a little more understanding of. They operate this way. You brought up the Communist Chinese Party and brought up into the Islamist. How do they operate and when you say they operate this way, who are you comparing them to the United States or other forces that we have fought before? Right. Well, I would say when you're talking about the Chinese Communist Party and say the Islamist regime that's in Iran, the Islamists that we have faced before and after 9-11. They don't really fuss about as what they're broadcasting true. They only look at is it useful? Is it moving or manipulating a target? Is it dividing an enemy? If I can divide and distract my enemy, then I have an added damage without having had the fire shot. So they use comprehensive tools, whether it's economic influence and coercion, information influence and coercion, and then also have the use of force, whether it is to hit civilian in addition to military targets.

25:16We, however, try to be better and I admire that impulse and it's a good impulse. It's part of our checks and balances. But especially since the Vietnam era, we have tried to conduct warfare in ways that are constraining so that we will limit the kind of public statements that our leaders put out because we don't want them deceiving us. And we shouldn't want them to deceive us. But the problem is when you live in globalized and instant information, you don't speak to only one audience. So consider this like playing poker and I get to hold my cards close to the chest, but yours have to be faced up on the table because you've chosen to live in a free and open society. Free and open society is good, but it's also very vulnerable to manipulation and attack. And at a time of crisis, you at least have to be aware of that and try to figure are there options that can make us less vulnerable and are there ways to make them less cloaked and have to show some of their cards. And that's where some of the tools we're using in this campaign come back into that category of making a head fake, maybe giving out different information to try to draw them off guard and having them in negotiations at the same time we don't believe them and we might just as well hit them.

26:31Talking to Steve VIII, senior research fellow for China and national security policy at the Heritage Foundation Heritage.org. So we can't be sure that anybody's being spoken to. We had all the conversation about President Trump. If you don't come to the table in two days, we're going to hit all the power plants and then saying, all right, we'll give it a five day reprieve, but he had never hit a power plant. So who knows how what that was, but I hear the political left telling me that this would be a war crime. It is this constant going at President Trump. Is this a Trump phenomenon or is there always been a bit of, oh, the administration's lying to you. I mean, I'm asking you more of a political question. I am maybe a historical question here, but this seems even in a world of the left hating Donald Trump very new and very much to me and aid and comfort to the enemy conversation. Well, it is all of those things. And I remember 20 plus years ago being in the White House and being subjected to all of these kinds of things back in that day.

27:35At that time, George W. Bush wasn't seen as a warm and cuddly man of august stature and kind of compassionate conservatism that was the brand. He was called Hitler, all kinds of accusations of war crimes were thrown at him and everyone who worked for him in national security. It's on steroids with Trump for sure. And the oddity of it is that Donald Trump is doing things that should actually be an alignment with what a lot of these forces would want. He is trying to avoid destruction of the civilian infrastructure, trying to avoid civilian casualties. And if you get the scope of these major military operations, number one, they're amazing in terms of their lethality and effectiveness militarily. But also they're pretty amazing in avoiding mass civilian casualties while hitting a wide geography. That's actually pretty cautious. And then his willingness to pull back and talk with people that other people would refuse to talk to, that opens up a chance for de-escalation that others would have rejected. So in a lot of ways, he's much more careful and pragmatic than any of his critics would ever give him credit for.

28:38When we talk about the pulling back, and this is where I become concerned, it's that it's possible that I have a different objective than the president. My objective is to end the regime so there is no more terrorist threat of any kind. That includes nuclear threat. It's an all-encompassing conversation. But no more funding of Hezbollah and Hamas, no more funding of the Houthi rebels, no more funding of cells that could be right here in the United States, and other places. It's overdone and complete. And yes, you allow the Iranian people, these Persians, to go about living their lives and creating their life. For President Trump, he sees the world differently, right? It is for me, what I coined years ago is these are the two rules of Trumpism. The first rule of Trumpism is Trump wins, and the second rule of Trumpism is that a deal can always be made as long as it adheres to the first rule of Trumpism, which gives me pause. It gives me real concern. As you see it, your conversations, your insight, what do you think the president's real goal is?

29:39Well, first I would say that I agree completely with the Tony Katz theory of the universe as you've just described it. And the theory of how the president operates, of course, he's more complex than that. When we use these simplistic distillations to try to understand and make points, and those are valid, and there's more to what he's doing than just those things. But broadly speaking, what you described is exactly why people get concerned, nervous, why they wonder whether they're getting complete information. Some people pathologically unwilling to accept the information they're given. But we have to try to step back, and it's the hardest thing in the world to do, because we are addicted to instant information and belief that we have instant knowledge and reality. When these are evolving situations, and President Trump likes to operate in shifting sands, sands he might have made shift. That's where he finds his deals. That's where he finds his levers. But ultimately, he is changing the tectonic plates. The world is moving around on. And so when I get concerned about it, at least I just remind myself, broadly speaking, the Middle East has never been in a better position to have a more stable,

30:52next decade or two than since the Abraham Accords and whatever comes out of this. Yes, and we should agree that the Abraham Accords is the start of everything. It can all be brought back to that. Steve Yates from the Heritage Foundation, before I let you go, is there a consideration from Trump, the War Powers Act, the price of oil? Do these things move him to wanting to wrap things up more than the idea of the regimes? I don't think President Trump needed any motivation to try to want to wrap things up. It has been his impulse, his DNA, for four plus decades, and he's been on television talking about it forever. And so the idea that he would ever put himself at risk of being in a forever war, as we like to call them, is basically zero. And so we're in a period where we've been going for a month. We don't see clearly exactly how this land.

31:54But I don't think it's the War Powers Act. I don't know which gives 60 to 90 days slack, so we're still well within that. I don't think it's sort of the concern of the markets, although he's really sensitive to markets. And so that's why I believe some kind of a deal and a de-escalation is coming in the next week or two, or a major, major hit, is coming in the next week or two. And no matter what happens when we de-escalate, Israel and our Arab allies and perhaps others, they're going to be mowing the lawn in this region, while we're there to come in as needed going forward. But I don't expect America to be the everyday maintenance crew for this region. I've never heard the term in warfare mowing the lawn. That's going to get used right there. 32:55They got the crowds moving. You went from having lines of four hours, five hours plus, two lines that disappeared. Tony Katz, Tony Katz today. Good to be with you. And at CNN, it was like, well, maybe it was just a slower travel day. That's insane. But it's so CNN. And people are angry about it. The left is outraged that we would use ICE in this way. Meanwhile, people are talking to ICE saying thank you and what is ICE doing? ICE officers are handing out bottles of water. Huh. I know a guy. He's on the radio from what I'm told incredibly handsome guy.

33:57He is the kind of guy that you look at and you're like, I want to carry that guy's babies. And that's the men. And he said on radio, you know what Republicans should do? Republicans, they should grab bottles of water and then food and go to airports in their states where the lines are two hours, three hours, four hours long. And they should hand out the water and hand out the sandwiches and say, hey, sorry, Democrats are doing this to you. We've been voting to fund DHS. They won't do it. It's just so ridiculous. And now you have to suffer. And I'm so sorry for that. I just want to make a little bit easier. We're trying our best. Please, please, please call your, your center or call Democrats to tell them to stop this madness. They didn't do it. Ridiculous. If you ask me, ICE is handing out bottles of water. And the question asked, well, where did they get the water? I don't know the store. This is the waste of money. I got billions of dollars being spent on Medicaid fraud. But it was a couple of bottles of water from Costco that broke the camel's back. Gotcha.

35:11Republicans missed a moment. They should have been doing this. They should have been talking to people. They should have been hands on to show America how hands off. The reality and the dangers and the problems that they're creating for America, Democrats are. This is what we said. Somebody listened. Just not the right group. I'm Tony Katz. And we're not just talking about the congressional investigation into, for example, the hospice. What has been uncovered in California regarding the amount of hospice centers and sites and companies in Los Angeles. You would think that everybody is dying in Los Angeles, dying to be famous. Let's not joke. And you see that it's just there's just no way that these companies can be building as much as they are and serving anybody.

37:12They're not serving anybody and no one's there and people like Nick Shirley make the videos. He shows up and no one's there. No one is there. So with that, you realize that there is a massive shell game going on just like what we saw in Minneapolis. Important to note. We don't know of all the people involved in these in this hospice racket. That's exactly what it is. It's a hospice racket. Right? But doesn't seem to be at the first bit of reporting that they are Somali nationals. I think there is a real reason to look at those you're letting into the country and whether or not they want to be Americans and live the American way of life. Or whether or not their culture is compatible to Western civilization. If you tell me that's not important.

38:14If you tell me that that's bigoted, I will tell those people to pound stand. I think it's outrageously important to maintain American safety and security. But the idea that only from people from Somali would engage in fraud. Well, that was always a nutter of an idea. There are plenty of people who have nothing who are not Somali who are involved in the fraud waste and abuse in Minneapolis. There just seems to be a tremendous percentage of people who are from Somalia or are Somalian descent who were involved in this. Two things can be true at the exact same time. The facts in the data tell a story. If facts and data to some people are racist, well, those some people should not be considered when having this conversation. I have no idea who's involved yet with this fraud. What is it that the government of California knew and when did they know it?

39:19And it could be possible that while Gavin Newsom is a low individual, he may not be Tim Walls low. Because as is reported, at least reported, we may find out more information. The Newsom administration made a move on the issue of fraud back in 2021. Gavin Newsom signed legislation placing a moratorium on new hospice licenses, preventing bad actors from entering the system while straightening oversight of existing providers. And you can look at that and say, oh, wasn't that nice to see from a Democrat? But 2021, something else was going on. What was it? What else was going on in 2021? I was thinking about my only fans career. No, no, that was 2023. What was it that was happening in 2021? That's right, COVID.

40:22Are we going to find that the Newsom administration is making a claim to something that isn't connected to what it is they did, that they actually did put a moratorium on things because of what COVID did because of these other things? I don't know. I guess some bit of investigation is going to find that out. But when we find out, when we find out that just like we did in Minneapolis, that you had these reports given the recognition that there was fraud, hey, there's a problem, hey, this is happening, hey, that's happening. Hey, this is an issue. Hey, you got to do something about this. Hey, we're reporting this and the government folk there in Minneapolis in Minnesota did nothing because they could take the report, but they didn't have anything to do with the report. And that was purposeful. Their system did not allow them to follow through on when hearing about an allegation of fraud because the system wasn't meant to do that.

41:29They didn't care if there was fraud. As long as you were writing checks, well, look how good we are. Remember a great difference between the political right and the political left. The political right views the success of a program by how many people don't need it. The left views the success of a program is how many people are on it. The left views it as how many people use it and the right views it as how many people are off of it. That's the difference. That is a very concrete example of a difference between the political right and the political left. And there are differences. Don't tell me about the uniparty nonsense. There are some things where they are in tandem to this dependency. We can agree to such things. I bring this up because the FBI and the IRS are now collaborating to take a look at funding of domestic terrorism efforts.

42:35And we know that in the issue with Minnesota and small nationals was that money was going back a city journal reported it to Al Shabab, a terrorist organization. So now it's a look at what are we setting up in terms of charity and it's going to terrorism, Pam Bondi, saying that part of this would be to root out all culprits of culpable participants, including organizers and funders in all domestic terrorism activities. Rooting out the fraud, rooting out the support of terrorism with our dollars. That's that's fantastic. That's what we should be doing. That's excellent news. Is there anybody out there who's going to say that it's terrible news that this is a bad idea? Why are we doing this? The answer is you better believe it. There will absolutely be people who think that this is bad.

43:50When Trump said drain the swamp, I looked at it like I look at many things and said, okay, nice bit of sloganeering. Make America great again. Nice bit of sloganeering. Make America great again is the same thing as hope and change. It's the same exact thing, which is to say hope and change and the reason it works so well is that it can mean anything you want it to mean. Anything. What do you hope for? What do you want to change? Ta-da. Make America great again. What do you want to be great? What does it mean to be great? Something different for everyone. Simple. I think that the need for these investigations, the need for searching in this, the need for digging in on this. If there isn't a moment of agreement on these kinds of things, then what is there actually a moment of agreement on?

44:58We can't agree on the idea that we don't want billions of dollars going to terrorist organizations in name the African nation or to domestic terrorists. Maybe the problem is, we have a political party that wanted to refer to American citizens as the terrorists. Where is that story? Did you send it to me? The producer line or was it? Here it is. From zero hedge, Biden era intel assessment targeted white moms and home makers as potential domestic terrorists. This 2021 intelligence assessment titled women advancing white racially and ethically motivated violent extremism extremist radicalization recruitment.

45:58Oh, your suburban white woman for Trump terrorist. Oh, you are going to a school board meeting terrorist. That's who they are. That's who the left is. Do they focus on the things that matter most to us or do they focus on preventing others from speaking so they can go about winning elections? And Trump said drain the swamp. I took it as just a statement of, okay, that's a, that's a just a line. It's, it's just one of those things. Knowing that there was a swamp, but not actually knowing exactly how ugly it all is and it is all outrageously ugly. Getting rid of fraud, getting rid of the abuse of the system, getting rid of those people in these agencies who want to look at moms who happen to be conservative and say, well, we label you a terrorist so we silence you.

47:01Yeah, that's all good stuff. And I would remind President Trump that even with everything else going on, these are the things that are lasting things. Removing these people from the intel community, removing these people from the state department, removing any of these agencies or sub agencies or outlets or groups that utilize our dollars against us and message against us. And rooting out the fraud and the fraudsters and throwing the American citizens in jail who are guilty and deporting those who aren't American citizens. That's what they did in Washington state. A 9.9% rate applying to everybody earning more than a million dollars annually. And the governor, Bob Ferguson, is like, I'm going to sign that. But the general manager of the Seattle Seahawks is like, um, yeah, about that.

49:11We're trying to keep a winning football team here. And we're trying to do our best to sign good players. And if you have this Fakakta stupid tax, it's going to make our life very difficult because people are not going to want to play here. They've been utilizing the hey, we're tax-free for years. And now people are like, well, you're not going to be able to do that anymore. They're going to have to pay more to get players. It's going to hurt them financially. So I, I have recently deemed myself, although I have asked, and this is a true story, I have asked, I said, I want to be named in my state, Indiana, although I'm willing to do it for the Midwest, if other governors would like to name me.

50:14I've governor Staten Oklahoma, where we're on KRMG, would like to name, name me the ambassador to bring in business from loser states. Originally, I wanted to be named the Indiana ambassador to New York for grabbing business from normal people. All right, I'm going to need a better name, but go with me on this. I go to New York, I walk into businesses, and I say, seriously, what's wrong with you all? What are you doing here? Stop being in New York. This place is stupid, but the bagels, Tony, would you shut it? You can ship the bagels in until they're all gone. Come to come to my Indiana, and actually be in a place where there's a workforce, where there are decent people, where the housing is inexpensive, and most importantly, you can keep your money. Come on. That's my pitch. That's my whole pitch, and I want to be the ambassador. And now, I mentioned a governor stint. We're on in Detroit, but that's not going to happen. We're on in Illinois, but that's Pritzker, sorry, Peoria, that's not going to happen.

51:23We're on in St. Louis. I don't even know what the governor is in Missouri. Who's the governor of Missouri? Maybe we can make that happen in Missouri. We're on a couple other places. We're on a North Carolina, WBT, but that is not going to happen right now. So right now, it's just Indiana, Oklahoma. Boy has got to start where he starts. I think you already have Indiana trying to get the Chicago Bears to come to Indiana, which is a no freaking brainer. It's a no brainer. You have Chicago, which just passed, they're putting in place a new hospitality tax to attract more tourists. So what are they doing? They're raising the taxes on a hotel room from 17 and a half percent to 19 percent. And they think they're going to get more tourism that way. Well, why would you, why would you ever go to Chicago for an event? You're insane to go to Illinois for an event.

52:26Come to Indiana, come to Oklahoma, come to North Carolina. All right, the governor, but everything else comes to North Carolina. There are places you can go. So the Bears are discussing the possibility of moving the team to Northwest Indiana, a town called Hammond, where this is an amazing opportunity is and can be built. And some people, because it's Hammond, want the Bears to change their name from the Bears to the eggs, so they could be called the Hammond eggs. Huh? Okay, Chicago Bears, it is. But why just the Bears? The Cubs, the White Socks, the Black Hawks, the Bulls, come to Indiana. What are you doing? By the way, Oklahoma, they've got the OKC Thunder. Maybe they'd like another pro team. What are you doing? Staying in a state that hates you. So to the Seattle sea hawks. What are you doing? What?

55:32Before we do, though, I think it's only fair that I torture you with the most terrific thing that Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey may have ever said. Democrat that arguably got the most attention in the past year since Donald Trump has been back in office. It's California Governor Gavin Newsom. And in many ways, he's doing the opposite of what you are saying. He is on social media mimicking President Trump's style. He is trying to fight President Trump the way President Trump fights Democrats. So Gavin and I are long time friends when we were both at mayoral level. And I told him I said brother, we got a bromance because when you stood up for Gameless being couples and married to them against the law. And the whole Democratic Party was saying you're ruining our coming election, because that was when Bush was kind of put it on ballots every year. I didn't find time blamed him for John Kerry losing. Yes, but yet he stood up for what we now know looking back was right.

56:35Did he just say bromance with with Gavin Newsom? You know, people wonder if the Democrats have a masculinity problem. Wonder no more. I'm pretty sure. Good Lord. Do they hear themselves when they talk? Do they hear what it is that they say? Now, there is plenty of news and I have much more to get to, but let me get to two things is we're waiting on the briefing. First, there is now been a vote of no confidence against the sheriff in Pima County, Arizona, unanimous vote of no confidence. You're like, wait a second. How do I know this guy? This is the sheriff investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of today's show host Savannah Guthrie.

57:46This is so weird. The idea that she just opened disappeared and no one can find no trace, no this, no that. I accepted at the beginning that maybe they're not telling us everything again, the concept of misdirection. Maybe they were trying to act aloof and maybe lure some people into a false sense of security. All these kinds of things are possible. Did they really screw this up? Because you are left with the overwhelming belief that they screwed this up. And now you've got the vote of no confidence and he won't resign. He won't go. Well, I think that's going to be a hard thing to overcome. If it's a unanimous vote, you don't have the confidence of the people you're leading. You have to leave.

58:53And I'll tell you, I mean, and then, oh, did you hear that they did an interview over the today show with Savannah Guthrie? It's our first interview. And it's going to play over the next couple days. And I said, I'm a morning show host as well. You guys know I do a morning show in Indianapolis. I'm like, all right, if that's airing, nobody's listening. They're going to watch that. It is going to be the most watched thing of 2026. Savannah Guthrie telling us what she knows and how she feels about her missing mother in one of the most national stories out there. It blows my mind that they can't find her. I find it frightening that they can't find her. And I do think that the sheriff of owner no confidence is, okay, you have to go now. It doesn't mean somebody new is going to find her. It doesn't even necessarily mean that the investigation is as awful as I may think it is. Remember, I'm not on the inside.

59:53But it tells the story and people are supposed to have some level of shame. This brings us to the story about Ritzkris. You think this story is just nonsense. 1:05:18we're currently in major combat operations in Iran. The Department of War and the President, as I said, estimated about a four to six week timeline for the full completion of these military combat operations. We're again on day 25 today. And as a courtesy, nevertheless, the administration did notify Congress the gang of eight ahead of the launch of the operation 25 days ago. And we've also had our top national security officials go to Capitol Hill to brief lawmakers, again, out of courtesy and out of respect for them. So at this moment, it's unnecessary, but of course, President and this administration will always abide by the law. Or do you want to be followed? Sure, go ahead. In our reporting, speak a lot to young voters. Many of them voted for President Trump for the first time in 2024, hoping to have no more waters and to have lower prices. Now, with the war taking place and with gas prices going up, here's what President Trump's message would be to those voters to kind of swung into his coalition into a question, but maybe don't feel the administration is going as they expect. President Trump is doing this for you. He's doing this for young people so that we are no longer threatened

1:06:20by our rogue terrorist regime in the Middle East. That seeks to kill the brave men and women who serve in our country in the Middle East. Many of them, young people themselves, young men and women who serve this country honorably in uniform and have been threatened, killed and maimed by the rogue Iranian terrorist regime for 47 years. President Trump finally had the courage to step up and do what's right by our national security, our homeland security, as for the temporary short-term fluctuation and gas prices. The president has said once these combat operations are over, this administration is going to continue to unleash American energy dominance. We're continuing to do that every day and we're going to see prices at the pump go back down just as- This should have been the argument the day of. Here's what we're doing. Here's why we're doing it. Here's how I'm doing for you. This is why it matters. Get people on your side. It would have taken 26 minutes. Nope, 22 minutes, nope, 17 minutes. 17 minutes tops. This administration doesn't like to do that.

1:07:21And just as a matter of PR, it's a mistake. TV has said that Iran has rejected the US's 15-point plan to end the war. What's the White House's response to that and have these talks hit at that end? They have not. Talks continue. They are productive as the president said on Monday and they continue to be. However, I saw a 15-point plan that was floated in the media. I would caution reporters in this room from reporting about- Okay, this is interesting. This is speculative plans from anonymous sources. The White House never confirmed that full plan. There are elements of truth to it- So this was the Wall Street Journal and some other places saying Iran rejected a 15-point plan that came out about an hour ago that this was rejected by the Iranians. Well, the first question would be by whom? Who's actually running the show over there? What Caroline Levin is saying is, whoa, whoa, just because that got said doesn't mean there was ever a plan. We never mentioned a plan. We didn't say that there was a 15-point plan. Just because you're hearing things doesn't make it true.

1:08:23There is a lot of propaganda going back and forth. A lot of trying to manipulate going back and forth. And for the Iranians, the regime, the objective is to manipulate the press to try and turn the people against Trump, which isn't very difficult to do. They have the American press. What's the US's response to that? What's the US responsible for that attack? I'll have to check in with the Pentagon on that and we'll get you an answer. Try. Thank you, Caroline, too, if I may. I speak with Johnson today to describe the conflict as wrapping up, but the 82nd Airborne Division, they're typically deployed at the beginning of conflicts. So does the White House- The 82nd Airborne, so the story goes, how's it going to be deployed? As I said at the beginning of my remarks, we are meeting our goals of Operation Epicfury expeditiously. The President likes to maintain options at his disposal. It's the Pentagon's job to provide those options to the Commander-in-Chief for any specifics on troop deployments, though I would point you to the Pentagon. And today Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner reiterated the

1:09:27rest to potentially arrest ICE agents that were sent into this list with these historically long PSA lines. He said, quote, the President cannot pardon you. Does the President have seen Krasner's comments because they have any response? The President cannot pardon you for what? He's talking to the ICE agents who are handing out water bottles and are helping people move through lines at airports. It's a disgraceful comment. The men and women of ICE are great people. I would encourage this lawmaker whose name I don't know and don't care to know to actually sit down and speak with the ICE agents who are our president. Important work, not? Is the DA in Philadelphia? And Larry Krasner, she knows the name, is an outrageous progressive and he's threatening ICE agents. Oh, he's not even shy about it. He's like, I'm gonna come at you and I'm gonna arrest you and I'm gonna punch your mom in the mouth and you break the law here, you dirty, dirty ICE agents

1:10:28and you're gonna, you're gonna feel my wrath and I'm gonna put you in jail and I'm gonna, oh, it's gonna be really, really bad too. I mean, everything about him says, I didn't date much in high school. Of course, you commit crimes within the jurisdiction that is the city and county of Philadelphia. I prosecute you. That is how it works. No, I don't take a phone call from the President saying, let him go, no, the President cannot pardon you. I'll say it again, the President cannot pardon you. And yes, I will put you in handcuffs and I will put you in a courtroom and if necessary, I will put you in a jail cell. Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love or something. I'm Tony Counts. 1:11:28The markets really do like it when you protect the straight-up or moves. Oh, they're never so happy as when you're protecting the straights and protecting the oil and it's just fantastic. And of course, the U.S. is saying there's a peace plan with Iran. Now, if you ask me, I'll tell you, I have no idea what the heck anybody is talking about at any time of the day. When it comes to the idea of a peace plan, when it comes to the idea that somehow magically... We are roaming free over to Iran. Here at the city, to Iran, as opposed to Iran. We're roaming free, we can do whatever we want. And as you know, today we're gonna have the privilege of shooting down a very big electric generation plant, one of the biggest in the world. And one shot to the right location ends the plant that collapses. And we held off based on the fact that we're negotiating, you know. What do you think was the turning point to make you want to pursue a ceasefire a few days ago?

1:12:31You said you wanted to continue bombing Iran. Now, you want to pursue peace talks. Was there something that happened? The fact that they're talking to us and they're talking since. And remember to all start with, they cannot have a nuclear weapon. Just, you know, I said yesterday, what did they said? What are the top 10? I said, well, number one, two and three is, they can't have a nuclear weapon. And they're not gonna have a nuclear weapon. And we're talking about that. I don't want to say in advance, but if they've agreed, they will never have a nuclear weapon. They've agreed to that. The question, of course, is who has agreed to that? Who possibly has agreed to that? But neither here nor there, the markets here, oh, we've got peace. And they're like, woohoo, market goes nuts. Tony Katz. Tony Katz today, guys, good to be here. Does he want dead Jews, dead Israel? Call America the great Satan and want to end Western civilization? Yes or no, as he waits for the 12th Imam. Because if so, it's just a guy with a different hat. 1:14:32We may have delayed something here. And there is a pragmatism to that. But we haven't done something if we haven't ended the regime and their supportive terrorism and their pursuit of nuclear anything. And then President Trump yesterday, this was an odd moment in the Oval where he's discussing that they received a big present from the Iranians. They're gonna make a deal. They did something yesterday that was amazing. Actually, they gave us a present. And the President arrived today. And it was a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money. And I'm not gonna tell you what that present is. Or that meant one thing to me would deal with the right people. Is that a little related? No, it wasn't nuclear related. It was oil and gas related. Well, who doesn't like oil and gas? And since this whole conversation is about oil and gas, let me bring it back to the conversation about the straight-up or moves. You can't trust the Iranians at all.

1:15:34I love that the Wall Street Journal had a headline and lots and lots of headlines today about how the Iranians are playing hardball. You'll know that the Iranians always play hardball, right? That's how they negotiate. But now they've been punched in the face and they're still playing hardball. I think you gotta keep punching them in the face until they stop. This is about the straight-up or moves. And this story right here about how the British will be in the straight. The British are sending the Royal Navy to lead a coalition to reopen the straight-up or moves. Now, what exactly did we talk about just like he maybe was a week ago? We discussed the fact that no one should be surprised by any stretch of the imagination that the British weren't a part of or jumping at the bit jumping into being a part of this. With Iran, nobody wants to be seen

1:16:34as the Johnny come lately. No one wants to be seen as the afterthought when you're talking about leadership on the world stage and guiding your militaries, of course, how you look strong and if you're a world leader, what an opportunity that is, let's not get ourselves. Let's not pretend. And when you're dealing with the United States and a personality like Trump, these nations actually get a benefit from not succumbing to Trump, not coalescing around him, but rather being tough against him, all politics are local. Whether you agree or disagree, leave that to the side, understand how they view it. It's helpful. It's not that, okay, here's how they view it, but maybe here's how they're wrong in the long run, right, we can debate those out, understand that it's not all based on what we see. That's what influencers say, but influencers are stupid. Rational people take a look at the conversation

1:17:34and then of course come to a conclusion, but at least understand what's happening around them so they can make that conclusion. These leaders are better off saying, well, well, well, well, well, you were not gonna be dragged into this by you and we're not here to just clean up your messin'. But now here comes Britain, because remember Britain wouldn't send the aircraft carrier and then they offered it up later and Trump said, well, I don't need your aircraft carrier now. There was a report about Iran firing missiles at the USS Abraham Lincoln. I think we'll find out more about this to the extent that we do. In the days ahead, it was naval today that had the story as I saw it, that Iran fired 101 missiles at the USS Abraham Lincoln. Right, we've got a piece deal, but they're still firing missiles. They do what they do now. We should also know everything is about telling a story.

1:18:36Firing missiles is different than hitting. I know, I know what you're going to say. Do I care? No, I'm with you on that. But understand how these things project. People trying to say face all sorts of things. Who knows if they even have the capability of guiding these missiles at this moment, even though they certainly have missiles that can reach targets 2,500 miles away, like Europe. Maybe that got the interest of the United Kingdom. And maybe that's what made them say, hey, you know what we'll do? We'll lead the mission to reopen the straight. Now, Kier Starmer, because there was a conversation between President Trump and Kier Starmer yesterday, what does Kier Starmer get to do? You knew it, the minute I brought it up, you're like, oh, okay, I can see that politically. Now he's leading something. Now he's taking a position of strength in order to ensure that the world's energy supply continues safely. He's not doing it for the United States. He's doing it for the world.

1:19:38Of course, that's different. And of course, you would be right to say, that's kind of insulting to the US, isn't it? Sure. But does Trump get out of it? What he needs out of it? Which is an open straight of our moves? Absolutely. And if Iran should get a little uppity with some warships of the British, because the British absolutely have some warships. Well, then I guess the UK is gonna be a little bit involved. Here we are trying to do this thing for the world and you attack one of our ships. Well, the world's not gonna stand for that. And Great Britain has always led the world until America kicked our ass in 1776. But until then, we totally led the world. All politics are local. Once you start taking a look at these things in that wide swath, you realize how this all comes together. And you can make the argument.

1:20:41That's kind of insulting that they wouldn't work with us to take out the Iranian threat. There are responses. You didn't come to us to work with us to work on the Iranian threat. So we're not gonna be following the leader. But now they get to be a leader. And after all, that's what they want because they're saving face to. But the move helps the United States and the move helps the oil markets. The move makes everybody feel super, super duper good. Now I will admit that from, remember these things will change and they're changing all the time. West Texas crude this morning was like $88 a barrel and Brent crude was $100 a barrel and there was like this $11. It was like $88.50 or something like that on the Brent. So Brent, I'm sorry, West Texas was $88.50 or so. West Texas crude, known as the WTI, West Texas intermediate, that comes out of the ground.

1:21:42Brent crude comes out of the oceans. That's the way I define it. Somebody who knows more about oil could define it a little bit better than me, but that's the way I break it down to these two categories. The spread, as I've been covering the stuff on my, I talk about the stuff I'm in morning show every day. The spread's usually like three to five bucks. West Texas is lower than Brent crude. The difference is three to five dollars. Usually that's what it is. Now with this, the spread has been higher. There's been a while where West Texas was above Brent and now the spread's about $11 a barrel. Brent crude out of the oceans, more expensive than West Texas crude. I can't tell you specifically what that means. I'm trying to get an answer to that. And if you guys know if somebody knows this business, Tony at TonyCats.com, send me an email. I'd love to get your take on that and what that means. And if there's something specific there, or if it's just, no, it's just because these things are traveling to the oceans, it's just taking a little bit longer, right? We actually categorize it in a different way,

1:22:43it's center, right? There could be a bunch of reasons. But the West Texas under $100 a barrel back into the 80s has got to make people feel good. And the markets today had the pre-market at plus 400 and the Nasdaq was plus 250. They're happy about it. The Dow is like, finally, we're getting somewhere, which brings us to another part of all of this that's worthy of note, which is the outrageous, childlike, nervous response of the Democrat party, which looks at everything and says this is terrible and this is awful and what a mess and look at the disaster and look what Trump did and sky high prices.

1:23:44Is that true of tomorrow? The objective, being all politics, being local, is to take whatever the calamity is of the moment and make it the most important calamity. Sometimes we fall for that because we're human and because these media assets work in such a way to try and take one subject and make it the only subject and it's all you hear, we can sometimes fall for it. So we're just as human as anybody else. So what's important is that we take a step back. Oil prices have been high and gas prices are a bucket gallon higher than they were and in my state of Indiana, they're $4. It's $4 a gallon now and $4 gallon gas sucks and in other places, it's more.

1:24:48Is that gonna be the case next week? The Democrat party on Twitter had the audacity to talk about high gas prices and never once talking about Joe Biden's high gas prices. With Donald Trump, we can argue it is a temporary policy if only because the War Powers Act would require this all to be done in 60 days. If he's utilizing the War Powers Act to engage this action, he could take the action, he could have to then notify Congress within 48 hours what he did, he has 60 days to conclude the action, he can request an extra 30 days to wind down the removal of the military for their safety and security. That's going to happen. That's going to happen. And then this gets wound down. If the straight of hormones is open again, if there is a level of deal made, even if I disagree with it because it doesn't involve the removal of the regime,

1:25:49and the West Texas crew, which is now at 88, drops down to 71, seven mid 60s where it was when this started, but to 71 dollars, you might be paying an extra nickel. I might be paying an extra nickel. It's not that I want to pay an extra nickel. I am saying it isn't for forever. It isn't because Joe Biden in that administration engaged policies that said, we don't care if you're paying too much for gas. It doesn't matter for us, because as Scott Jennings pointed out very well on CNN the other day, Democrats love high gas prices and allows people to move to the wind and to the solar. And Democrats are like, oh, that's not true. Barack Obama stated in the run for president, he stated the words that we have to change how people view these things. We have to artificially increase the price of gas

1:26:55because if we don't, no one's going to use these other fuel sources. So we have to change things around and therefore, therefore the price of oil, the price of gas will necessarily skyrocket. Don't believe me? Okay, believe him. You know, and climate change is a great example. You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, you know, under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad, because I'm capping greenhouse gases, coal-powered plants, natural gas, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was they would have to retrofit their operations.

1:27:55That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers. Case rested, they were fine with and always been fine with. Your energy costs going up so they could push their green agenda. This is not new. Don't get wrapped up in the idea that this is for forever. That's influencer progressive bull crap talk. We have to ask ourselves what is happening? What is the actual tangible thing? If the British get to the straight of hormones, an oil starts to flow and gas prices come down. What are these lefty screaming about? And you realize what they're screaming about is we don't care how we demoralize US troops or the American people. We don't care how much we actually help the booey, the morale of the Iranian regime low lives. As long as Trump loses and as long as Democrats get power, they'll say anything. You know I'm right.

Talking about the murder of Shardin Gorman. She was killed in Chicago by an illegal Venezuelan immigrant. And Mayor Johnson and some alderman are like, well, it was a wrong place, wrong time. Well, you know, what are you going to do? Oh, how dare you speak poorly of immigrants. We're talking about illegal immigrants. We're talking about a murderer here. And Speaker Johnson. And we know that Medina Medina entered the United States illegally on May 9, 2023. That's under the Biden administration with their wide open borders policy. We also know he was caught by Border Patrol and let into the country released into the country, like millions of others. And thanks to the Democrats open border policy, those are indisputable facts. But for that crazy set of policies, this young lady would still be alive. Weeks later, Medina was arrested in a major American city after they let them in.

1:29:56Again, only to be released onto the streets of Chicago. Why? Because of crazy Democrat policies. He would later take the life of Shardin Gorman. The irony of all this is that the system did not fail, Shardin. That worked exactly as the Democrats intended. You had Democrats in charge of the White House and in charge in the city of Chicago. Open borders policy, sanctuary cities policies. They coddled the criminal illegal alien. They empowered. They allowed this to happen, and that's why we're so angry about it. I very much appreciate this kind of talk. They did this. Their policies did this. And it is the perfect line. It's actually a takeoff of a line Donald Trump using from the UN in his first term, which I think is his best speech ever. In Venezuela, it's not that socialism has been implemented improperly. It's that it was implemented faithfully. That's why it's a disaster. That's why Democratic policies are disasters. Remember that, come to midterms.

They wanted to move him to midnight. Midnight to 2am. And he was making like 750 grand. Now, you could argue, hey, in the TV world, that's not much. But in the Jim Acosta world, that's more than he deserved. And he was like, I'm not going to do that. I'm going to go about starting my own podcast. Okay, man. Go start your own podcast. I'm not here to stop you. But for anybody thinking of starting their own podcast, you start the podcast if you're on traditional media. You do not start the podcast afterwards. You started before. You started while you had the other thing.

1:32:59So if you lose the thing, you still have somewhere to go. Now, Jim Acosta has more subscribers than I do. He has 248,000 subscribers on YouTube. That to me is an unbelievable number. His videos get 6,000 views, 5,000 views. There's one that got 115,000 views. So he can get some numbers. I cannot tell you if he's making any money. I'm willing to bet that it's not the $750,000. I'm willing to bet that while indeed, I mean, he's doing award-winning interviews with Steve Schmidt. I'm my point proven. This is all just leftist insanity. And if you want to hear about leftist insanity, did you hear this from Jennifer Welch, again, who does a podcast talking about JD Vance and his wife, Una, and their kids?

1:34:00Listen to this. He is married to a woman of Indian descent. He has mixed race children. Yes. So to all of the mega-vogueers out there, if this man will not defend his wife and will not defend his kids, do you think he gives a crap about you or anything to do with you? Defend his kids from what? What are you possibly referring to? Her name is Jennifer Welch. She's like this new face, the Democratic Party. She is beyond vile. She is the poster child of being a Karen. Whatever affluent suburb is in near where you live, that's where she lives, and guaranteed she's on the HOA board. Why are you bringing up his kids? What do you mean he doesn't care about his kids? What possibly you're talking about? You don't think he knows his wife is Indian? He married the woman, and I'm pretty sure he may have seen her in various stages of undress. What with having the children and all? You don't think he noticed?

1:35:00What argument is this? What insanity is this? But this on the political left, as Chris Hayes is in interviewing her, I guess this passes at some kind of rational thought. Jim Acosta was never a journalist. Jim Acosta was a leftist who was on CNN, and his job was to attack a President Trump, not because Jim Acosta was right, but because attacking the President would keep you on the air. And he got offered midnight to two. He's like, I'm not going to do that. And I said at the time, I'll take that show right now. I will take midnight to two. I do a morning show in Indianapolis. I've got this show right here. I've got eat, drink, smoke. I will take that show right now. Midnight to 2am, pay me half of the 750. All right, a little more than half. We'll just round it up to 400. And I will have better ratings than Jim Acosta ever had in six months. At midnight to two. Not at the Eastern, of course. That's 9 to 11 on the West Coast.

1:36:01I will have better ratings. I'll be a more entertaining show. You will love it. And then you'll pay me what you paid him. You know what? You'll pay me a little bit more because I exceeded the expectation. He wasn't willing to take that deal. Crazy. Use the platform. Then build your other platform. That's the business, Boo Boo. They purchased Paramount, which is, of course, CBS. They put in Barry Weiss as the editor-in-chief, and layoff started to happen. They just ended the whole radio world of CBS. CBS Radio was around for almost 100 years. It is kind of nutty that it took place, but it's also the way things go. And people quit, and then they were laid off. And it's funny. One of the guys who has laid off said, hey, I got a new job. It's the most liberal outfit possible. It's called Midas Touch. And their whole job is to be anti-Trump. That's their whole purpose. That's where you got a job. So really, no change for him. Because of this purchase, and because of people hating Barry Weiss,

1:38:05who is not a conservative. But she believes in free speech that she actually wants to build a newsroom. Kara Swisher is now saying that when this takeover takes place, she's going to leave. The moment Paramount's guidance completes the takeover of Warner Brothers, she's leaving. You have no idea what's going to happen. You're going to quit before they have a chance to fire you? That's clearly the way to take this, right? That's clearly what it is. That's what you're saying here. She knows she's going to be fired. Because she knows that everything that she discusses, because somehow she's been allowed to be this opinion person, is all progressive nonsense, and nothing that is rational. Now, when CNN hired Chris Litt, I had high hopes for him as the CEO.

1:39:05His job was to reset CNN into a... into a worthy model, and it didn't work. Lots of resistance, lots of leaks, and then he was let go. It really stinks for him. Now, maybe he wasn't the leader that was necessary. I don't know the man. I don't know all the internals. But I do know that CNN wants to be this. A progressive outfit claiming to be decent. They don't apologize for pushing Russia, Russia, Russia. They don't apologize for pushing any COVID scams. They don't apologize for hiding Hunter Biden. And they still have the audacity to claim that they're the decent ones. You watch Abby Philip on her show, Abby Philip tonight. A show that could have been monumental for CNN, in making this pivot and wouldn't have taken much. And instead, support every leftist on the show, attacks got Jennings all day, all night, all the time.

1:40:06And that guy handles himself like no one you've ever seen. It's super impressive. Super duper impressive. CNN hasn't changed a bit. They are still the Jim Acosta place. They're still the Jim Acosta station. If she is indeed telling the truth that she's going to be gone, the question being asked was actually asked by Garrett Seerite in one of the radio trades called Barrett Media, BarrettMedia.com. It's the right question. Is Cara Swisher on her own or are other people going to follow suit? Will other people quit CNN because of the takeover? And my answer is, gosh, I hope so. Good. Let them leave. Do you know how much talent is out there? Tony, you're just talking about yourself?

1:41:07Oh, yeah, sure. Oh, be a great opportunity. As long as I didn't have to do one of those kinds of shows, right? I know I could do it. As a host, I'm fully aware that I could do the Hannity type show. I don't think that's what I want. Could I do the Brett Baer kind of show? Yes, I could. I would be more interested in the Tim Russell-esque kind of show. And you could argue as in that what Brett Baer does. And I would say I would think that there's a little more rigidness to Brett Baer's time slot. And I would want a little more expansiveness. So that's where I make the difference not disparaging Brett Baer in the slightest. But what I really want is late night. You know, it's like, you know, what I really want to do is direct. No, what I would really want is late night for sure. Absolutely. I think there's more room in that space. And I think that if you mix comedy with kind of the long form interview concepts, Larry King.

1:42:17Oh, who's the guy who ended up taking off his pants in front of people? Charlie Rose. The name Charlie Rose, right? That kind of stuff. Like, I always wanted to do the longer form meets playboy after dark, with the cigar, with the bourbon, everything else, and kind of get into it with all sorts of people. That's where I'd like to be. A little more comedy willing to be until laugh, kind of focus, I would say. That's where I'd want to be. And I would show it absolutely what I want to do and still want to do. But yeah, there's a lot of people out there. And you could probably name 100 people. You know what? Maybe not 100. You can name five. You give it five minutes of thought. You'll come in with five people. You listen to. They'd be like, yep, they would do a great job. There's so much good talent out there that doesn't get the chance. And you say to me, who would want to be on CNN? And what I would say to you is, we don't know what CNN is going to be yet. We don't know.

1:43:17And with a new ownership, if you're going to lose these people, there's a chance to remake it into something. Doesn't have to be a conservative, something no. But it could offer up perspectives and ideas and thoughts and simply not be hateful. Maybe more to the point. And yes, hateful is a huge part of it. Not be so full of crap. CNN is full of garbage. They lie to themselves and they lie to us every single day about them not having a slanted, not having a bias. At least say so. My name's Tony Katz. I'm a conservative. I don't apologize for a damn thing. And if you don't like it, tell your mother to kiss off. I don't care. This is it, kittens. This is who I am and this is what I'm doing. And if you want to give me Katari money to change my mind, I'm going to say sorry. There are other guys out there that you might want to go to. This is it. This is the show I want to do. These are conversations I want to have.

1:44:18This is how I want to engage. And I think that there's room for a whole bunch of stuff. I don't think that you have to not listen to other people, not engage with other people. But I sure so don't want to engage with other people who are going to start with what you know Trump's a pedophile. No, he's not. That's crap. And that's the stuff you dismiss. But people who might disagree with the policy of Trump. Yeah, I'll talk to them. Disagree with the policy of Israel. I'll talk to them too, or England, or France, which I disagree with many of their policies specifically immigration policies. There's a great opportunity here. Why would I say no to it? Why would anybody? We don't know what we're going to get. That's my point about Kara Swisher. She doesn't know what she's going to get, but she's already out the door, which means she knows what she's giving. What she's giving isn't needed. What she's giving isn't good.

1:45:18What she's giving doesn't get ratings. And most importantly, what she's giving precludes the importance of honesty, which is what happens when you disagree with your own team. You got to say so. And you see it and people won't do it. So yeah, let the takeover happen. Show these people the door. And no one is going to miss Kara Swisher. No one. Let me say it again. No one. I'm Tony Katz. This is Tony Katz today. So meta is found guilty and has to pay $375 million in fines. Tony Katz. Tony Katz today. The claim is that meta failed to protect kids from sexual predators and misled users. They're appealing the case. That's not the part I think we should pay attention to, although we should see how the appeal goes. It's not a court was willing to say to a tech company, to a social media platform, you're not doing enough.

1:46:22Which now leads to two things. Number one, what happens when they start doing enough? What gets curtailed? Does that mean your ability to speak gets curtailed? Does that mean the bots and all the fake users suddenly go? And if they go, where is their money? Because don't they make a lot of money from that? This case, which isn't getting much play because, of course, everything happened with a ran and oil prices. Is there really going to be an end to this war? Who in the world could you possibly be negotiating with? This case has ramifications that we don't even know yet. Does this cause smaller players to get out of the game? Does it require them to have less users? I'm telling you, remember this. Because we're going to be hearing about this and its reverberations for a while.
