Why, from the heartland, and the crossroads of America? It's Tony Katz today. So let us discuss the Tucker puppets. I mean, if they're going to tell me I'm paid for by Masad, or I'm only in favor of taking out the Iranian regime because of my religion,
well, these anti-Israel anti-American foolhardy scaredy-cat zealots. They're just puppets of Tucker Carlson. That's all they are. That's all they are. That's all they possibly could be. I'm supposed to take them seriously. They're going to change my mind. They can't even engage in an honest, clear fashion. What's silliness? Joe Kentz resigning as the chief of counterterrorism. Only to then go on Candace's and Tucker's podcasts. Tucker puppet. Now, what is it all about? Is it about shoot-conviction or is it about something else? I think it's about something else. It doesn't mean that I'm right, but I'll give my theory. I'm Tony Katz. The show is Tony Katz today. JD Vance is out there trying to push a good economic message for the midterms. So, as we got by an average of $3,000 or, well, Joe Biden and the Democrats are in Washington, PC. That's a very, very bad statistic.
Now, the good news is, over the last $1,400 Trump's leadership, the average American has actually increased their take home pay by about $1,400. I'm so glad that the average American has increased their take home pay by $1,400. The problem for JD Vance is that this speech comes on a day where the producer price index is up 0.7. If we talk about just the courts up 0.5, this is manufacturing. What does that tell us? What does it show us? Well, it tells us that manufacturers are no longer eating the costs of tariffs. Amongst other things, that is absolutely what it tells us. But let's talk the latest out of Iran. There are two stories worth noting that lead us to two more stories. We start not with the intelligence minister that was killed.
This is not the guy from yesterday. This is a new guy that was taken out by Israeli strikes because the Israelis know exactly where these people are at all times. They know where everyone is. There is a story that there was a group of IRGC commanders in Lebanon. And this group of IRGC commanders went to a hotel and they rented out 15 rooms under different names, false names, fake names. They then assembled in one of the rooms and the Israelis were able to hit them with a missile in the one room. The Israeli intelligence is beyond belief. Now, some of this is because the Israelis have been working on this for decades and they are that advanced and their spy capabilities are just that remarkable.
But there is a part two of the story. Let's start with, though, the bombings that have taken place from the Trump administration on the coast of Iran to open up the strait of Hormuz. You have bunker busters, quote, US forces successfully employed multiple 5,000-pound deep penetrator munitions on hardened Iranian missile sites along the Iran coastline near the strait of Hormuz. This is to let people know that we're serious about opening the strait and getting the free flow, getting the free flow of oil. But some people have noted, hey, this isn't our oil. President Trump has certainly taken that to be a message that matters to him. And now saying, listen, where are these European countries? This is their oil. Why don't they take a stake in protecting it and make sure it flows out properly?
Why don't they have some skin in the game? And he then went into the line that, you know, I'm surprised that these people aren't helping. I can't believe these people aren't helping, but you know, we don't need their help. I said this yesterday and it still holds true. I haven't changed on it. I think I understood it from the beginning. These nations do not want to be seen as playing follow the leader that they're just a lap dog for the president, for the United States. If they don't want that, all politics are local and it's the last thing in the world that they want. They don't want to be around that. They want to be seen as people who were in the conversation. They want to be seen as people who are leading the charge, keeping the world safe and that allows them to show strength. Coming in now, you're a little bit of an afterthought. Nobody wants it. And it's weird that people are surprised by this, but this conversation about the straight is different.
27%, 27% of the oil comes of the world's oil, comes through that area, comes through the straight, but not 27% of America's oil. No, some numbers said it was one to two percent. I got to go back and double check that number. But it's not a majority of our oil. It's the oil of other nations. So the other one is, you come and protect your oil. What that was this? What is this craziness? Now, if you're going to attack the country, you do have a responsibility to keep some things flowing. And I think that is our responsibility. But once the regime has gone well, maybe that's somebody else's responsibility. And that was Trump's point on true social. What if I just get rid of this regime? Get rid of the whole thing. Well, I wonder what would happen, as President Trump said, if we finished off what's left of the Iranian terror state and let the countries that use it, we don't be responsible for the so-called straight.
And he spelled it, S-T-R-A-I-G-H-T. Oh, bless that man. He continued that we'll get some of our non-responsive allies, quote unquote, allies in gear and fast. Correct. Absolutely true. It would force them into making moves and I'm fine with them being forced into making those moves. But let's make sure we understand that the people who said, my God, the straight, the straight is all blocked and we can't do anything about it. And the Iranians have thwarted us and it, that's not true. Things are happening quickly, but they still happen when they happen. If it's not fast enough for some leftist fool in Congress or for some television commentator, who gives a crap?
No one cares that they're angry about it. The real world is in front of us. If the 22-year-old, who I only hope is listening to the show, hey, glad to have you here. You live in a world where everything is broadband, right? It just happens automatically. And you can't believe that something might take a little bit of time. Well, that's because you don't, you just don't know. You don't know what you don't know. You don't know that these things take time. You don't know that you can have all the battle plans in the world and everything gets thrown out after the first bullet is fired. That's the real world. And all these questions are, what are we going to be out? And why did this happen? How come you don't know this? Because nothing happens perfectly. The other side is shooting back at you. Which is why you need grown-ups. You need grown-ups who are in charge and you need a steady hand that's leading them. Not somebody who's going to be all reactionary. Committed, convicted, focusing.
That's what we have. It takes time. And yet, with the taking time, things are moving at a good clip. So this move now to start getting oil flowing in the straight. Which I think we could all agree. If this thing is to extend out, 30 days, 60 days, pick your number. It's a problem. It's a midterm problem. It's unquestable. It's unquestable that it's a problem. Which I didn't think otherwise. But as we look at this, and as we look at those people screaming and yelling and upset and leading the forever wars and Trump lied to us and Iran was never a threat. Somebody actually asked me. Someone actually asked the question. How does war with Iran actually benefit the average US citizen?
Now, I responded by saying, well, a terrorist regime that engages in terrorism, no longer finances, committing acts of terrorism is good for the average US citizen. Learn more every Monday through Friday by following my show. But I really, as I think about it, there would have been a better answer. And the better answer is war with Iran doesn't help the average American citizen. Killing every member of the Iranian regime until the sons of bitches are dead, that does. I don't need a war. I just need them gone. It's not my fault that the terrorists. It's not my fault that they support terrorists. It's not anything I did. I just don't have to live with it and neither do you. Neither do the Iranians. I'm telling you right now you have to read this story. I will have it up on Tony Katz today so you can grab it. It is worth the subscription to the Wall Street Journal, which I do indeed subscribe to.
Israel's hunting down Iranian regime members in their hideouts one by one. It is unbelievable. The strength and the capability of the Israeli intelligence agencies is beyond belief. And one of the things you learn from the story is that the American left, they want America to lose. Senator Chris Murphy, representative Rokana, pick your cable news outlet, pick your loser on social media, they want America to lose. The woke right, which is decided that hating Israel is more important than having a sexual relationship. They clearly want to see Iran remain. I don't know if they hundreds want America to lose, but they're very okay with the Iranian regime remaining. And that'll be a lesson to us not to do these things again.
The rest of the free and thinking world and the world that wants to be free wants the Israelis and the Americans to come out on top. How it was possible that Israel was able to find and do away with Ali Larajani, a guy who was in charge of their intelligence apparatus, is that they received tips from the residents in Iran. The Iranian people want the US and Israel to succeed and the woke right Tucker puppets want Iran to succeed. What side do you want to be on kids? What side do you want to be a part of on in which world do you live? I didn't say you liked war. I didn't say you wanted war. I didn't say that you feel like President Trump said we wouldn't do this and then we're doing this.
Now some of us understood that Trump's a pragmatist and he'll do what is necessary at the moment. The first rule of Trumpism is Trump wins. The second rule of Trumpism is that a deal can always be made as long as it adheres to the first rule of Trumpism. He's got a history of talking about Iran. He's got a history of discussing the issue here. This isn't surprising. I'm just thankful and amazed that finally an American president is engaging the way they should after 47 years of terrorist attacks and terrorism financing. The Iranians want us to win because they don't want to live under that hell anymore. Good. The Israelis are so good that they have been able, they say as the reporting goes, they've dropped 10,000 munitions on thousands of different targets. They've been able to take out the besiege leadership. Now I think I'm pronouncing that right. So this is not the IRGC, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. That's the military part.
This group is like, think of them as a gang that has some concept of structure. These are Islamist Iranians who just want to go around beating people up. And their violence is all hell. They're like, they're like Antifa with better uniforms. And the leader of this besiege forces got killed. So they're now wondering how they're going to function. Can they function? Where's the money? Where's the this? Where's the that? Which gives the people more of an opportunity to rise up. They're not there yet in that they still have the IRGC shooting at them every single night if anybody should gather. But there have been a lot of Iranian leaders who have been killed. And at one moment as the Wall Street Journal reports the story, an agent of Assad, which I am not, who knew that that would be something I would have to say on a regular basis.
Actually, I did. I knew that the the woke right and the anti-Israel Jew hating left led by Ilhan Omar and she did to leave would eventually lead you to this moment. The Assad agent speaking in Farsi to an Iranian police commander said, can you hear me? On a phone call. We know everything about you. You're on our blacklist and we have all the information about you. I call to warn you in advance that you should stand with your people side. And if you will not do that, your destiny will be as your leader. Do you hear me, meaning you're going to get killed? To which the commander says, quote, brother, I swear on the Quran, I am not your enemy. I'm a dead man already. Just please come help us. The Iranians, the Iranian regime is getting ripped apart. And now what we need for them to do is fall. The IRGC to fall. And for this terrorism supporting regime to be over and done with, then let the people rise up and rebuild their lives their way.
I'm Tony Katz. This is Tony Katz today. The save act is not going to get passed. It's just not. And Democrats are out there rallying like they do, pretending that they've got a case when they don't even know what it is they're saying. I've called this act over and over again. Kim Probe. Yeah. And they hate it. I've gotten 50 million right wing attacks on my email because I said it and you know why they attack it because they know it's the true. 50 million, 50 million emails. Okay, we can all understand that it's hyperbole. We can all understand that Chuck Schumer, who can't make a cheeseburger, believes that black Americans are too dumb to get an ID. It's what he says.
Why do you think he's opposed to the save act because he wants illegal immigrants to be able to vote. And his argument against having an ID to register is that black and brown people and women are too dumb to get an ID. I do not know why black and brown liberals and women are liberals are okay with this kind of talk of being spoken about this way. I for one would be furious. They seem to be fine with it. What exactly are some people willing to do to win. Well, I mean Chuck Schumer will lie through his teeth. He's a fraud. But the save acts won't pass because the votes aren't there. And even people like Senator at least Markowski Republican from Alaska are opposed to it. Our argument is that some of our people live in very rural areas. Again, these documents will be difficult. I don't deny that it might be difficult. I'm just not willing to say no to voter ID. Difficult it might be. It still has to be done. Some things are difficult. That's that.
Yes, Lisa Murkowski has to go. But I like the vote being called and I like the conversation being had because I want these people on the record. Now I want them on the record. So Republicans can hang this around their necks going into the midterms. It won't be the top subject, but it certainly will be a talking point. The issue of course is that I don't know if Republicans are smart enough to be able to do this because they haven't shown me they're willing to fight yet. They haven't shown it. I think that's a real problem. Keep it here. This is Tony Katz today. Find everything at TonyCats.com. So there's a lot of movement regarding the funding of the Department of Homeland Security. Tony Katz, Tony Katz today. Good to be with you. When I say movement, it's called conversations. Are there things that Republicans are willing to compromise on? Well, there might be. There might be some better systems for going out there and saying, hey, we can run this in a better way.
We can. Is the issue more body cameras? Well, I don't think anybody so far has had any issue to body cameras. I do know this once the conversation of body cameras came into being and you saw in Minneapolis, I say, we stopped hearing about problems in Minneapolis. Now, before we go any further, I admit that if I, I have not gone to the, what is it, the Minneapolis, star tribune in many, many months, star tribune.com. When I get there, I have a story about the surge from the White House. I have a story about a hazing incident involving a high school basketball team. I've got money to talk story about money on a bridge. You know what I don't have a story on? At the star tribune. I don't have a story on any violence towards ICE agents. Well, they're all gone. No, they're not all gone.
Once the cameras came on board, we stopped hearing about things. Where are the observers? Where are the people in the streets saying, well, this is just unacceptable. Where are the leftists to say it's wrong to ask for an ID and then demand an ID of everybody who's driving to their neighborhood? That happens. You can't make this stuff up. I have no capacity to make this stuff up. I can spin a pretty good yarn, which by the way, ages me like nothing else. The expression spin a pretty good yarn. And I could not have come up with that. We oppose IDs. Anybody can come into the country. But if you want to drive through our city, we have checkpoints and IDs. You have to tell us where you're going and why you're here. I swear, the people in Minneapolis were just four seconds away from funny little moustaches and saying, papers, please.
You started the body cameras and all of a sudden everything got better. People stopped being insane. And you know that we've had deportations in New Orleans in Louisiana. No fights, no anything. So maybe ICE doesn't have to change all the way. It's the ways it does things. Maybe it learned from some of the things in Minneapolis and already made the changes. And I don't think there are many of us who are opposed to the idea of an agency saying there's a better way to do something. American saying there's a better way to do something and do it. But my argument has been, do not stop. There can be no stopping. ICE must continue to remove illegal immigrants. And who cares if the left is angry about it? Screw them. And who cares if they're angry? Why are they opposed to the save act? Why are they angry about these things? We will get into that.
Because I have a little snippet from a senator by the name of Merckley out of Oregon that will explain it all, right? Like Clarissa, explains it all. Do you know what that poll is, producer Landon? I do not know. You don't know Clarissa explains it all, okay. I think I hit on something of Gen X. And then I will have a fair amount of people saying, how do you know what that is, Tony? That's awkward. It's going to be a very interesting series of emails and texts I'm about to receive. But one thing that is not up for debate is the idea of judicial warrants. Which is what the left is clamoring for. Which is a no. And tells the story of how okay they are with illegal immigration.
How important they think illegal immigration is. And how much they are trying to protect it. I am not a lawyer. I went to some sites. I spoke to some people. What is it that I'm dealing with? I have a basic understanding of how this works. A basic understanding. I'm more than willing to hear other people, including you. Tony at TonyCats.com on Twitter X. TonyCats. The chat room is open. 833 got Tony. 833-468-8669. Thrilled to hear from you. ICE warrants are administrative. They are issued by immigration officers. Judicial warrants are signed by judges. So there is a series of difference.
The understanding that I have regarding these warrants is that if indeed you are requiring judicial warrants. What you are saying is this is a warrant for something that happens now. As opposed to the crimes we already know to be committed like entering the country illegally. Immigration has always been enforced through administrative warrants this according to Senator Ron Johnson. Adding a new layer of judicial warrants is unimplementable. Judicial warrants are formal written orders authorizing law enforcement officer to make arrest, a search, or a seizure issued by state and federal courts. Signed by judges or magistrate judges.
They are more specific than administrative warrants. Addresses, time frame targets, etc. Administrative warrants. Authorized law enforcement officers with federal agencies to make arrest or seizure but not a search. And administrative warrants does not confer authority to enter a home or private area. This is why you don't see ICE agents walking in to just anywhere. They wait for the person to come out of the courtroom, wait for them to come out of the house. They are finding them as they're traveling from point A to point B. That's why that takes place. Administrative warrants are not reviewed or signed by federal judge or an immigration judge. They're reviewed and signed by immigration officers. So the argument is that if you now engage the idea of the judicial warrants and not in administrative warrants, you will now not be able to reach people who have broken the law based on what has happened.
It can only be based on what it is going forward. And then you put on this another level, another layer with certain specificities that while we know who the law breaker is and the law that is broken and they are here legally, that we're saying that they are now required to have a fourth amendment right in the protection of their house papers of facts and against unreasonable searches and seizures. The argument made is that adding the judicial warrants will prevent ICE from actually apprehending and removing people who should not be in the country from the country. The Democratic Party wants to add the extra layer to protect the illegal immigrant. Now you say to me, Tony, do I really oppose the idea of citizen protection? No, no, no.
We're not talking about citizens. We're not talking about citizens. We're talking about illegal immigrants. We're talking about people who have committed that crime. And if we're now going to say that there needs to be yet another standard, a standard that we would apply to the citizen, to the non-citizen, then we're saying that they're citizens. And I would argue clearly in front of anybody that they don't deserve that right. Not at all. Not for a second. The answer is no. They don't get that. We're not going to give that to them. And this is, now I will admit, I've explained it generally, but not perfectly. And I could have a bunch of people saying, hey, Tony, don't forget this. Hey, Tony, you're on the basics, but talk a little bit more about this part.
Here's something you need to remember. There could be a bunch of that. I'm all open to it. The 30,000-foot overview. Democrats want to make it more difficult to remove illegal immigrants from the country because they want them here and they don't care about the safety of American citizens. That's the overview here. Why do they favor, why are they opposed to the Save Act? Why do they favor illegal immigrants being able to vote? People engaged in fraud being able to vote? Well, they're telling us. Because that's a constituency. I will share that with you in a little bit. It is clear, very clear that anybody, anybody who doesn't understand that what is happening here is that the American citizen to the American left is a worthy sacrifice for the power of the American left.
That's what's happening. All of this, the Save Act, what's happening with Homeland Security and this idea of how ICE is working and the idea of these, the possibility of needing judicial warrants, all of it is to say. The American left is more interested in their own power than the rights and the future of the American citizen that they want to now have power over. I'm Tony Katz. This is Tony Katz today. Meanwhile, you have Mark Wayne Mullin in front of the Senate Committee, the Senate Committee Homeland Security, which he needs to approve his nomination out of committee so he can be confirmed. And it was contentious because it turns out the chairman of the committee, Rand Paul, hates his guts.
But Mark Wayne Mullin, the Senate from Oklahoma, did say that Rand Paul being attacked by his neighbor and having six ribs broken, that he deserved it. The record should show, and I think we'll show a lack of contrition, no apology and no regrets for your support. You completely understand the violence that was perpetrated on me. You're unrepentant. The only thing you quilt about is whether I met you somehow in your house. I don't think we ever met when you were in the house. And this idea that the only thing you're upset about is not that you were for violence. What you're upset about is that I called you a liar because you said it to my face, which really more about this machismo that you have. When in Oklahoma, the media asked you about the refugee welfare programs, the programs you voted to continue funding. It was this whole idea that you were going to transfer because you were uncomfortable or you were anger, low impulse control.
It causes you to then go after and decide that you're going to go after me as well. And so you completely understood that I was assaulted from behind and six ribs broke in a part of my lungs and that was just fine. That's something that you, I guess, approve of as far as resolution of political problems. When I talked to you on the private on privately on the phone, there was no apology, apology, you just said, well, we let our political difference, you know, go by and you said a few minutes ago, we can just set it aside. Yeah, it actually got rougher from here. I said before I'll say it again, if Mark Wayne Mullin thinks that his past won't be utilized against him, that statements won't be utilized against him. Well, he's out of his skull. Out of his skull, some people will say, you know, maybe Rand Paul is too close to this and maybe he shouldn't be chairing the committee.
Katie Brent, who's the center of Alabama, wanted to introduce Mark Wayne Mullin and Rand Paul said we're not having that. We're not doing that in the committee. We absolutely are not doing that. There is some petty here and some of it comes out and it really plays against Rand Paul. Some of it, the guy got attacked and you said, good. It's a story. Well, I do think Mark Wayne Mullin will get confirmed. I think it's going to be way closer than he wants. I think you might have JD Vance showing up. I think. And all this makes me wonder if there was going to be a real issue with getting Mark Wayne Mullin confirmed. And maybe things happen very quickly with the removal of Chrissy Nome that he had to move fast. I'm Tony Katz.
I was not a guy familiar with Joe Kent at all. It's okay. I don't have to be familiar with everybody. I remember that he was a nominee to be in charge of counterterrorism. Sure. After that, I don't recall thinking of his name. Now, discussions of Tulsi Gabbard as a director of national intelligence, yes. Whether Tulsi Gabbard was going to be able to provide full reporting, full details, full analysis in Intel was a real question about whether or not she could be trusted in this capacity.
Based on her past, Tony Katz. Tony Katz today. Good to be here. Good to be with you. Find everything at Tony Katz.com. Phone number eight three three got Tony eight three three four six eight eight six six nine. And those conversations we had and what we have seen from Tulsi Gabbard is that she's kind of been pushed to the side. Is this because she isn't somebody who sees the threat the way we do? Is it because she's somebody who wants to play in the space of well, we don't want to be the regime change people thinking that any kind of action is regime change based on if the president had all of the data and all of the intel needed to make a comprehensive decision. There's a host of back and forth on the subject. That's kind of where we left it. We noted that that in in the first bombing raid that took place of Isfahan Fordot and Atons, the the Iranian nuclear facilities. She wasn't part of that.
How much was she a part of what took place in this latest hit? How much was she involved in that? And the answer is no idea. But we know now that Joe Kent who led the National Counterterrorism Center, a top aid to Tulsi Gabbard was left out of those conversations completely. We know that he was not consulted. We know that he didn't get a say. And he puts out a statement yesterday, quote, I cannot in good conscience, support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation. And it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
This is the same guy who in repeated statements on social media over the years. And in podcasts said that the Iranians were a threat. He said it repeatedly, repeatedly. And now this is absolutely untenable. How does someone make this switch? Well, you first have to accept the fact that Joe Kent's wife, Heather Kaiser, writes for an outlet called Greyzone. And Greyzone is a very left-leaning publication, critical of the US, critical of Israel.
Now, you also have to know, because some people say, wait, didn't Joe Kent's wife wasn't she killed by ISIS? Yes. It's first wife. It's a really awful story. And Joe Kent's got a history. And Joe Kent is not a guy who I would have said anything about except this guy who has been through some things. I could see how he would have worked his way up into this level of position. That's where I would have left it. Not having an expertise and not having consulted experts on who we look at in the intelligence operations and what are some of the things that people look for who know what to look for. As the layman, that's what we would have left it based on on part of this dude's history. But oh, Heather Kaiser, a solid, serious anti-Israel activist. It's a lot of pillow talk. It's not pick up a thing or two about a thing or two.
I have no idea if that's true, by the way. Certainly possible. Certainly possible. This statement, though, that IK, here's what he wrote, I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation. And it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. First, that last part is unbelievably world-class stupid. We'll get to that. I just want to make sure that I was clear about it. And when Carolyn Levitt was asked about this today as she was speaking to the press, she was very, very clear that nobody is leading Donald Trump around. President spoke on this a little bit yesterday in the Oval Office. He said he always thought Joe Kent was a good guy.
Obviously, it has a commendable military record and experience. However, he was not someone who was involved in the presidential daily brief. Part of the president's intelligence briefings over the last several months have not seen him here at the White House for quite some time. And the president feels it's deeply disappointing that after the president gave him an opportunity in this administration to serve the American people that he would resign with a letter filled with falsehoods. Accusing the president of the United States by being controlled by a foreign country. That's both insulting and laughable all at the same time. The president is the leader of the most powerful country and military in the world. Nobody tells him what to do. Which is the correct answer. But it doesn't satisfy the woke right. Which needs this to be the case. Israel is guilty. Israel is the problem. Israel. Israel. Dear Lord, it's some obsessed stuff.
But when you've built an identity around it, when you have pushed that lie enough, when the standardized juice scapegoating can now be applied to Israel. And of course, you've had two years of building the sub-zone, the almost three years, since 2023 and October 7th. Why pay attention to what Hamas did? Why pay attention to what terrorist organizations did? Terrorists, of course, funded by the Iranian regime. Why pay attention to 1200 murdered Israelis, raped women, children set on fire, people taking hostage? No, no, no. Blame the Israelis for going too far. And this has been years of this, and now this is just a standard scapegoating, but I think presented in a much more dangerous way. I don't think people should just leave this as standard scapegoating. Joe Kent statement reads again that I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.
Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel as powerful American lobby. The only thing clear, Joe, is that you are a Tucker puppet. Now, what is a Tucker puppet? I brought it up a couple times. If you follow me on Facebook, Tony Katz radio, if you see things, if you follow me on Twitter, X, Tony Katz, there are people who will tell me that I only believe what I believe because I'm Jewish and therefore I'm a puppet of Israel. They are unabashed about this insanity. I'm paid by Masad. I haven't gotten a check yet. Was it worth the $7,000, Tony? I don't know. Is that what they pay? Is that the going Masad rate? I don't know. They don't care that it's true or not true. It doesn't matter. Attack, denigrate, destroy. Guys, I've been through this and so have you. These people out there on the Twitter, they're all Tucker puppets. They're being used by Tucker, used by Candice, used by Megan Kelly.
They're being used for clicks and likes and maybe dollars. One of the things that we have to ask ourselves is how did this happen to these people? And maybe the answer is this is where they think the audience is. This is where the audience is. This is where the audience is going. It's so easy to blame Israel. Put your head of the curb. It shows you're really true American looking out for Americans. You don't want any soldier going to war. Soldiers do go to war. You know, it doesn't mean you should send them just willy nilly. It means sometimes you have to send them and I don't think any of these people would actually want to protect the United States. They want soldiers to look good in uniforms and hang around on bases. Maybe do a push up. Maybe not. I'm not so sure. Maybe that's too rough and too masculine for them. It's very weird. Very, very, very weird. Dangerous. Ugly. Needs to be pushed back against. Well, the people are just willing to follow this. I mean, they're Tucker puppets. They are puppets to Tucker. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is are they marrying an ex? Or is there a hand right up the sock?
I don't know. I don't know. I think that Joe Kent is a Tucker puppet because I've read the statement a few times. How is it possible that after 18 days, after 18 days, that's when you decided you could no longer good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. What the hell is that? What is that? Israel posed no imminent threat to our nation. Hey, producer land to pick an R21 in 20. Pick a number of 220. Number six. Okay, November 1979, US Embassy seizure. Iran, Iranian students backed by the regime seized the US Embassy in Toronto taking 66 American hostages in a 444 day standoff. The foundation for a state-sponsored terrorism by the Iranian regime.
What the hell are you talking about? No imminent threat. I've got nothing but attacks on Americans. Let's go with 19. Let's go with number 19. Dry by shooting, West Bank, Hamas Terrace killed an American citizen and his wife in a dry by shooting in the West Bank October of 2015. There's non-stop examples of them supporting terrorism, continuing to support terrorism. Of course, they're an imminent threat. Well, Tony, Israel was saying there are always two weeks away from a nuclear weapon, always two weeks away from a nuclear weapon. They bragged about being 60% enriched uranium proving that the Iran nuclear deal, the joint copper has a plan of action, was never going to stop the Iranians from getting a nuclear weapon. And all of those no good, ridiculous Obama bros lied. They lied.
Was not imminent. Was no imminent threat to our nation. Again, the child nature of imminent. It's a term utilized without any meeting. If they were planning to do harm to the United States, isn't that imminent? Or does the bomb have to be right above your house before you say, hey! You should do something about boom, two lights. I'm not interested in children being in charge. I'm not. And if Joe Kent, for all of his history, his answer is imminent. That's not a guy I would want around any type of leadership. He then says it's about pressure from Israel's powerful American lobby. Well, if you're angry that the lobbyists are successful. If you want to do a way with lobbying, go right ahead, but we're going to do a way with all lobbying. That includes Qatar.
There are millions of dollars no longer welcome. Let's see what Tucker has to say about that. But it was that line that made you say, I thought you didn't like what the U.S. position is. Now you're saying that the U.S. is being led. That is exactly what the Tucker puppets say. And then what happened next? Less than 24 hours later, we find out that Joe Kent, great American. He is booked on Candace Owens, podcast. He is booked on Tucker Carlson's podcast. Huh. Huh. So yeah, I'm going to stand on conviction. But maybe there's an opportunity to build a nice base here. And I can be a real part of this conversation that seems to get viewership.
And maybe some dollars. Maybe some opportunity. I believe this is the moment that the woke right jumped the shark. Because now it's obvious to see that Joe Kent wasn't involved in planning. Joe Kent was pushed to the side. Joe Kent was not somebody who was taken seriously. Joe Kent decided to wait 18 days before standing on principle. Did he think things would be over in 16 days? Oh, I totally disagree, but as long as it's over quick, I'm fine. Or was he trying to set up his next gig? You see, if you oppose it, you oppose it, you walk. He didn't walk. He waited. We did a take of 18 days to figure out the statement. Was that when everybody was available to do the podcast? Was there something else going on in a play?
Do you, I think you believe this? I have no idea what you believe or what you don't. But what does it look like? What it looks like is you quit, Joe Kent, in a way that would bring you the most woke right people to your side. You quit in a way to make yourself popular, not in a way that you have a real objection to what's happening. You damaged your own credibility, just like a Tucker puppet. That's what it looks like. That's what we're calling it. And my God, don't ever let these people near power for a second. You can't be safe with these people around. I'm Tony Katz. So we were talking about the Save Act. And the Democrats opposition to it, and the screaming, and the yelling, and the catterwalling, and the anger. The anger about having voter ID, how dare you?
How dare you think we have to have voter ID and they're having these events in there. They're gathering everybody together or everybody. And they're like, this is just so terrible. This Save Act of which requires ID to register. It's the worst thing that ever happened in the history of mankind. In this tooth and nail, we are fighting this tooth and nail. It is so despicable. It is so outrageous. And we need your help, not only to stand here, but to let all of America know what this really is. We're letting all of America know what this really is. You, Chuck Schumer, and you, the Democratic Party, want it to be okay for illegal immigrants to vote. That's why you're opposed to voter ID and registration and voter ID when you vote. Now, you say to me, Tony, that's not true.
This is Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon. His words on the floor in the well of the Senate, not mine. This bill is about stopping groups from voting who tend to vote for Democrats. This is, again, about rigging the next election. If rigging means stopping illegal immigrants from voting, then yes. If rigging means stopping fraud, absolutely. The argument made by the Senator from Oregon Democrat is that this bill will stop those who engage in the possibility of fraud or those who shouldn't be voting from voting, and he's upset about it. You know the whole thing about the quiet part out loud? This was the not quiet part, quite literally screamed at the floor in the well of the Senate.
Unbelievable. The same facts matters. This is Tony Katz. Three more things, stories that might not be making the front page but should. First story, I think I may have gotten bitten on the neck. I don't know what's going on there. Second story, I need a haircut. I'm sorry, these are things I'm just writing in my diary. President Trump was saying 200,000 truck drivers could lose their licenses. What was that? It's like a little ding that went off of my computer right there freaked me out. I don't know what that was. We're talking about those who are here in the country illegally. Those who do not actually meet the requirements of understanding the language. The regulations would bar most immigrants from holding licenses,
the only exceptions being people in the U.S. on an H2A visa, which is temporary agricultural workers, H2B, which is temporary non-agricultural worker, or an E2, which is a treaty investor's visa. The ban would be on those who are asylum seekers, deferred action for childhood arrivals, DACA recipients, or TPS, temporary protected status. Our issue is that you have people who are completely unqualified to be driving these big rigs and they're on the roads and they're doing great damage. They're doing incredible, incredible, incredible damage to Americans. Americans are getting killed. And still the political left wants to provide protection.
Why would you want to provide protection for such a thing? There are constant examples. We're talking about the Save Act, for example, now this. They're constantly in a place where they put their own power ahead of the lives of American citizens. They don't care what happens to you as long as they are in charge. Not because I say so, not because it's some kind of road or hyperbole. I'm utilizing the examples of what it is they favor, what it is they oppose, and it tells a story. How dare somebody be angry with us for noticing? They should not be allowed, people here are legally commercial driver's licenses. Those who cannot speak English should not be allowed commercial driver's licenses. Not for a second, and if it means the cost to shipping goes up, okay?
But people are going to be alive on the roadways. That's all, that's all there is. If you think somebody doesn't speak the language, be allowed on the roadway, you're nuts, and this should lead us to the part two. All government forums should be in English, every single one of them. That's our language. English is the language of freedom. That's our language, that's what we do here. We should celebrate the concept of culture in the home and outside the home. We should celebrate people who open up restaurants or shops or cater to this, cater to that, zero issue whatsoever. The speaking of Spanish, Japanese, or Tagalog, or any other language? Right on. I mean, as long as it's not French, because we get it, you surrender. We don't need that in our lives. But good.
You think it's a problem that people speak a foreign language outside the home? Of course not. This is not California, where you had two guys attacked by three other guys, because they were speaking Hebrew. You know that happened, where you now have arrests that took place. They found the three guys who did this. Two guys going into a restaurant, speaking Hebrew to each other, they're American, and three guys attacked them. It's a very, very unsafe place as America. I'm going to be told. For Jews, actually, I'm never told that. I'm told it's unsafe somehow for Muslims because it's Islamophobia.
It's not even a real word. It's not. I would laugh at you. Fear of Islam. No, no. Fear of Islamists. Sure. Unquestionable. The test should be in English, in order to have a commercial driver's license. You have to be fluent. Didn't say you couldn't have an accent. You have to be fluent, and you have to know idioms. Little slang things that Americans use. You got to be able to know that. This is the right move from the president. Smart move from the president. I would love to know from truckers where they're at with this. Because will it mean more work for you? Because you've got already. Truckers have really weird regulations they have to follow about when they can be on the road and the amount of time they have to take off. And if it's traffic, it still counts towards road time. It's all really weird. So along with this, what are we doing in the regulatory world?
That's affecting negatively truckers to zero benefit to anybody else. Just reclaiming safety and it doesn't actually come. I would love to know that answer. Feel free to reach out. Vladimir Zelensky, we're talking about the leader of Ukraine, has made many, many, many mistakes. He's made mistakes in how to go about trying to get people on his side. He has made mistakes in speaking to the president in the Oval Office. He has made mistakes by saying, I am the serious leader of Ukraine and we're going to fight these Russians. But first, let me partake in this photo sheet with Annie Leibowitz. He's made many mistakes. But when his country got attacked, he didn't run. I respect it. His country has got a fair number of problems.
This is not a place where everybody is perfect. There is a fair amount of corruption. And there's been a fair amount of waste. There's been a fair amount of waste of our money and our help. And I like you, don't like it at all. What I've always stated was I want to send them bullets and guns and hardware to take on the Russians and keep the Russians at bay. They don't deserve this. They've never, ever deserved this. But where Zelensky has made his biggest error, is that Zelensky couldn't figure out how to make this about something bigger than the Russians invading Ukraine. He made the argument, we're being invaded by these Russians. Don't you know these Russians are terrible? Don't you know they're going to come for you next? Help us. Why are you helping us more? Is that all you're giving us? Help us more? What's wrong with you? Why are we getting more help?
He made it about him. He never asked the question, well these people are going to want to know what's in it for them. Whether you agree or disagree, that somehow that should be the question. Right? What does that say about a society? That is the question. You're going to ask for millions, sorry, billions of dollars, what's in it for them? Never mind where anybody is on the Israelis. One of the things that they are able to do very well, they've done very well from the beginning is these Islamists are threat, these terrorists are threat. We are fighting this fight for all of Western civilization. We are willing to take on this fight. We will be the tip of the spear to this fight. We will lose blood and treasure for this fight to keep the world safe. The only thing we ask is for a little help. That is the way they have gone about phrasing these things. And it has had, of course, very, very good success.
So Zelensky, as the war starts, the United States hitting Iran, Zelensky says, you know what we're ready to help. I'm sorry, what are you going to help with? Well, we got some experience with drones and you got to admit. You got to admit that the Ukrainians have done an unbelievably good job utilizing drones to attack the Russians and dealing with drones coming towards them. The drones are Tehran-designed Shahid drones. That's what the Russians have been using a bunch of. And so he puts out to the United States that whenever it is possible for us to help defend civilians or U.S. nationals, without second thought we sent our teams. We knew immediately we had to help. And then he followed it up with on Twitter X quote, I would like the U.S. not to receive Ukraine as a country that merely asks for help.
That is not the case. Ukraine is defending interests and values. My God, he learned. He learned. We could build the world's biggest drone factory. The United States will provide production of financing. Ukraine would provide the technology and experience. We could use it to defend American soldiers on basis. Now, you might say to me, I don't trust Ukrainians for a second. You just talked about a level of corruption and others. I hear you. But let's not deny that that is not the correct way to approach Donald Trump and to approach the situation. And there is something very interesting about the idea of drone production. Hey, Donald Trump, we know how to do this. You'd be the beneficiary of it.
It would also help us a little bit. Let's make a deal. What gets Donald Trump more excited than let's make a deal? Aside from, hey, honey, got some new diacokes in the fridge for you. Aside from that, I have no idea if Donald Trump has ever made that sound in my life. In his life, I have no clue. I have no clue if he's done that. Whatever. That's a weird way to think that the man would laugh. I apologize. This is smart. Very, very, very smart. But there is no bigger story than the story of the Pucks. Oh, yeah. This is the third thing and three more things. I will have that coming up. Keep it here. I'm Tony Katz. This is Tony Katz today. I've heard some analysts say that Iran could have had a functioning intercontinental missile
threat in the United States in his fewest six months. Would you agree with that assessment? If left unimpeded, yes, Senator, they would have the ability to range missiles to the continental U.S. It's one of the reasons why degrading Iran's missile production capabilities that is taking place right now in operation. Epic Fury is so important to our national security. That's Sean Rackliffe speaking today on the Hill and two senators, Tony Katz today. Good to be with you. Funny thing about the CIA. If we are to engage just recent history, if we were just talking last 30, 40 years, the CIA has gotten a hell of a lot wrong. When I discuss the conversation of Iran, you notice I'm always coming from the terrorism point of view. The funding there, the harm there.
I don't disagree that they bragged that they had uranium enriched to 60%. You need 90% for weapons grade. They were bragging about it. The JCPOA was a mess, a failure. Obama failed. What he said was a value of course was not. I'm not saying that Iran wasn't trying to pursue this. They absolutely were. They're terrorists. Why not have the biggest weapon to engage? The fear mongering. But I'm not going to pretend that the CIA is some perfect organization. They've gotten a lot wrong. A ton. Check, double check, recheck, absolutely. But the long history of Iranian terrorism by this regime, well that's just fact. Not really. It's a niable thing and ending that is good. Tony Katz. Tony Katz today. The pucks. Jack Hughes is angry. He is the hero of Team USA. Men's hockey.
Olympics. Gold medal. Why is he angry? Because it turns out his puck is in Canada. The game winning puck. From the US men's Olympic hockey team. To win the gold medal over the Canadians. Is that the hockey hall of fame? Which is in Toronto. And so is the women's winning puck. That was a shot from Megan Keller. So the pucks that the US utilized to win over Canada is in the hall of fame in Toronto. And Jack Hughes is like, what is this crap? This is BS. His words. He wants it back. Now me, what I favor, is taking the winning puck of the US men's team, the US women's team, and the powerlampic team, which beat Canada to win the gold medal. First of all, put it on a traveling exhibit across the country.
People will show up to take pictures with that and get a story of hockey of men's women's and powerlampic. It would be very cool. You could set that up. I don't think it would cost you too much. People would go. Do it as a fundraiser for local hockey ranks in your town. People would show up. I would show up. You would too. But he's got a really good point. What the hell are these things doing in Canada? He's outraged by it. And he's correct. This is a terrible idea. Now, he's making a different argument. He thinks he should have his puck and baggage it at hers. Maybe. Maybe they belong to the team. In any case, they belong to America, right? It should at least be on American soil. I'm Tony Katz. It's Tony Katz today, more than a head.
Live from the heartland and the crossroads of America. It's Tony Katz today. 0.7% that's the increase in wholesale prices in the month of February. Tony Katz. Tony Katz today. Good to be with you. This is not the number you want if you're running for reelection. Nothing about this feels good. And I've got a theory. And I believe the theory involves tariffs and the eventuality. Dr. Matt will join us right now, economist. At the University of Indianapolis, 0.7% the expectation was 0.3% up for the producer price index. That's wholesale prices. Core, right? You exclude food and energy. It was up 0.5% and they want to say on the 12 month inflation was 3.4. If it's 0.7, it's way more than 3.4. The based on you, the way you do the math. But what are you taking from this report?
What should we be looking at? Well, I mean, obviously 0.7 times 12 is 8.4. That gives us the Biden era inflation level. But there's a few aspects that are very important, one of which is wholesale. So we may not see it at the store. Because this is not what we pay. This is what the manufacturers are paying. But we know everyone in the world knows they cannot absorb these cost prices forever. And eventually they're going to have to pass them along. So we see that right now. They're paying more every single month. It's consistent with other data that we've seen. The ISMP and my report said very high wholesale prices as well. So what's the cause of this? Well, there's a few things. Inflation is caused by more stuff or not enough stuff, but too much cash. So the government is still spending too much money. That's part of what's driving this. Trump has not been a lower-spender person. He just hasn't spent as much as Biden. So why don't we just have too much government spending going on?
Second is the tariffs. The tariffs are still out there. The Supreme Court said no. Trump said, OK, I've got another tool. And he's using that tool. So tariffs are still driving manufacturing and wholesale pricing. So we've got the driving force being tariffs. We've got government spending. And all of these things are not good. The economy is growing decently, but not enough to compensate for all the cash and all the tariffs. So first things first, none of this has to do with what's going on in Iran. That has to be clear with people. Not a single ounce of what we're seeing from this report has to do with Iran. True. Because that was pre this report. I mean, post this report. So all the Iran stuff that has occurred has been after this data was already baked in. But with a tariff conversation, this could be taken as the manufacturer is no longer absorbing the tariff costs. This is officially being passed on now to the retailer.
And that would one would assume means it's going to be passed on to the consumer, you and me. Eventually, I mean, can they absorb it? They'll, you know, Trump has threatened Amazon before not to pass along the cost. Well, you can only threaten for so long and you can only eat your costs so much. Eventually, you got to give them to the consumer. That's just the fact. So this now leads us to where does, where do we go from here to quote Buffy the vampire slayer? This, if this is where we are at, and this is a tariff conversation, the reduction of wholesale prices doesn't go down until the tariffs disappear. Okay, there is three parts to that. The tariffs are here. The tariffs aren't going anywhere. They're in the system now. But we could grow ourselves out of it. Trump did that in his first term.
He grew himself out of the inflation that would be created, not by tariffs at that time, but by government spending. And that's the problem now. Trump is not controlling government spending. Trump is not controlling tariffs. So we could grow ourselves out of this. But if we don't, and my gosh, Tony, the amount of growth that would be required to compensate for the amount of the amount of government spending in the tariffs. Hey, we've had high government growth, I mean, high GDP growth, but not enough. So I think we're stuck with this unless Trump can get his hands around spending controls and his hands are around reducing tariffs, which I don't see that happening. Talking to Dr. Matt Wille, economists at the University of Indianapolis before I let you go. What we're seeing in Iran with the straightforward moves and oil prices and per barrel prices over $100 on the Brent crude. You know, this is not necessarily our oil. This is oil that goes to the rest of the world. It's 27% of the world's oil.
But all this affects barrel price and affects what we pay at the pump. Is there a number, a number of months, a number of weeks, a certain number of barrel that if you were to hit for a certain amount of time. Economists say, okay, that leads us down the road of the R word, which is recession by the day. We're there. We're there. I mean, these numbers right now will not go away once the war is over. If Trump is held to his, what is a 90 day limit by law or something? 60. So if this isn't having 60 of it, yeah, the war power is act 60 days. Okay. So if he, if he has a 60 day war, the price of oil is not going to drop at the end of that because prices are downwardly sticky, meaning that oil prices jump immediately when they're supplying demand constraints. But they do not come down that fast. They tend to come down at about three to five times longer.
So we are going to be stuck with these higher prices. And when you add the inflation, you could be adding to the R word because of oil prices being sticky and a government spending causing the inflation. So we might be there. I don't want to say we are because other things that Trump is doing are fantastic for the economy. And I believe this is not economics. Okay. This is not economics. This is Matt, you know, Dr. Matt regular citizen guy, but I have a lot of faith that what's Trump is doing from foreign policy standpoint is necessary. And he's taking an economic bullet to do the right thing. So he deserves credit for that. But you and I have to get back to economics and say there is going to be a negative economic impact. What's the biggest turnaround he can make? You mean economically? Yeah. What's the biggest turn on maneuver? What is the thing that you would say to him? Do this right now and this all gets better in a month.
He won't. He needs to eliminate the tariffs and he needs to cut government spending. Neither which is going to occur because he won't eliminate the tariffs and his own party won't let him cut spending. Dr. Matt, we'll economists at the University of Indianapolis. I appreciate you taking the quick moment with us. This is Tony Katz today. I think the best way to put it is that the confirmation hearing of Mark Wayne Mullen to be the Secretary of Homeland Security went bumpy this morning. Tony Katz. Tony Katz today. Good to be here. Good to be with you. Holy cow. Right. Chrissy Nome gets pushed out. It wasn't a promotion she got. She got demoted and stuffed into a drawer. Is what happened? And Democrats are starting to get some of the things they want and there are some things that they can't have regarding judicial warrants because they don't want illegal immigrants removed from the country.
In the end, what Democrats want is a voting block of illegal immigrants. They desperately desperately needed. They're not even shy about it. But they are starting to get some concessions regarding how ice and DHS acts. Now the question we have to ask is does this and even this make any sense, which is a fine conversation to have rational. Sure, go right ahead. We do it this way. We'll do it this way. We'll try it that way. I don't know. Maybe you'll create a better product. Maybe it won't certainly the idea of saying you can't arrest anybody for what they previously did. You can only rest them for what they'll do in the future, considering they broke the law to get into the country. That is to protect illegal immigrants in the crimes they've committed. It's obscene from the Democratic Party and these Republicans. They don't know how to fight Democrats, but they sure seem to know how to fight Republicans. Mark Wayne Mullin and Rand Paul have a history. They've got a kind of long history that I guess I wasn't aware of, including not liking each other.
Calling Rand Paul as Mark Wayne Mullin did a snake arguing that he deserved the broken ribs. If you remember, it was Rand Paul who was attacked by his neighbors by his neighbor singular broke six ribs. This is in 2017. That neighbor, people are like, oh, I get it. I understand it. That neighbor should be in jail for the rest of his life. The no good scumbag that he is. I don't care what you think about Rand Paul. I disagree with the man on a few things. I shouldn't say a number of things. A few big things. He doesn't deserve to be attacked. It's gross. So I guess Senator Mullin has made light of this. And we get to the hearing today. So the hearing is in front of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Chared by Rand Paul. Things are so contentious that Senator Britt of Alabama, Katie Britt, she was going to introduce Mark Wayne Mullin and Senator Paul wouldn't allow it.
That was the reporting from Bill Mulligan. Bill Mulligan, Mulligan over there at Fox News. No, Senator Paul wouldn't allow it. So he already started off on a high. And then it was well. Fantastic. I entered the Senate the same year that Representative Gabby Giffords was shot. I knew then the state of political rhetoric was encouraging violence. I think it's imperative now more than ever that the leaders in our country disavow violence and lead by example. Through the years I've personally been exposed multiple times to political violence. I was in the right field batting cage when the craze shooter unleashed nearly 200 shots at our congressional baseball practice. I'll never forget Steve's police, violently dragging trying to drag his body away as the gunman continued. Later that year, a Trump hating felon attacked me from behind in my yard. I was just straightening up from picking up a tree limb.
I was wearing noise cancellation headphones. Never saw him come and running pale male down the hill. I was struck in the back. The force of the blow sent us through the air nearly 10 feet down the hill until the shoulder and pale me as we hit the ground. Six of my ribs were broken. Three of the ribs were completely separated such that for weeks the ends of the ribs would grind upon each other. My lung was damaged for weeks I could inhale but not have the rib strength to exhale. I developed to pneumonia. The pain was such that I could only sit up in bed by tying a rope to the foot of the bed and pulling myself up. But even then the pain was that of a thousand knives. Over the year of recovery, I began to cough up blood. I ended up removal a part of my lung. Complications led to an infection in the space between my lung and chest wall. I spent a week in the hospital having the infection in the lodge every six hours through a chest tube.
Recently, Senator Mullin, if you have time to listen. You were confronted by constituents that were angry because you voted against my amendment to stop all funding for refugee welfare programs. Instead of explaining your vote to continue these welfare programs for refugees, you decided to transfer the blame. You told the media that I was a freaking snake and that you completely understood why I had been assaulted. I was shocked that you would justify and celebrate this violent assault. That caused me so much pain in my family, so much pain. I just wonder if someone who applauded violence against their political opponents is the right person to lead an agency that has struggled to accept limits to the proper use of force. With all due respect, we are asking ourselves the question of whether or not something this personal is the purview of a committee considering endorsement, right, approving the nomination, sending it for confirmation.
I have to side with Rand Paul's got a point and Senator Mullin's going to have to deal with that. He does. He does have a point. The argument you could argue that Mullin made was casual in that I can't believe he did this, I can't believe he did that. I understand his neighbor now, which is different than a celebration of your pain. But in this world, you said the thing and the casual, the casual acceptance of the violence can be, we put it in a lot of places, a part of the issue. We do it about the political left all the time, the casualness of their calls for a lone wolf. I think Rand Paul is within his rights to do this. And by the way, I think Senator Mark Mullin, it would be a fine Secretary of Homeland Security.
I don't have an opposition to him as a pick. I don't have an opposition to Senator Rand Paul making this statement. I do think it's okay to ask, wait, does this kind of personal stuff, does this fit in? Not letting Katie Britt make an introduction. I think it's weird petty nonsense garbage. Senator Rand Paul saying, you got the temperament for this based on what you said about me? I think that is okay. You might argue you were mad and upset about being confronted by your constituents. Senator Mullin, your constituents are justifiably upset with you. Almost of America knows that the Somali welfare fraud in Minnesota is still over $9 billion. But instead of defending your vote, you took to continue the vote to continue these refugee welfare programs. You chose to lash out at me. You went on to brag that you'd already told me to my face that you completely understood and approved for the assault.
Well, that's a lie. You got a chance today. You can either continue to lie or you can correct the record. You have never had the courage to look me in the eye and tell me that the assault was justified. So today you'll have your chance. Today I'll give you that chance to clear the record. Tell it to my face. If that's what you believe, tell it to me today. Tell the world why you believe I deserve to be assaulted from behind. Have six ribs broken and a damage lung. Tell me to my face why you think I deserved it. And while you're at it, explain to the American public why they should trust a man with anger issues to set the proper example for ICE and border patrol agents. And that's where he lost it. He had the argument. He was allowed to put Senator Mullen on the record. And then you have anger control issues? Lost it. Your neighbor, Senator Paul, had anger control issues. Senator Mark Wayne Mullen said something stupid. There's a difference. There is a difference.
And by the way, if Senator Paul had been involved in some kind of back and forth with his neighbor, then escalated. I wouldn't even say there's neighborhood anger issues. Rather it was an escalation that led to something unfortunate. We've all been involved in those. I've been involved in those. I learned hard. So much my night and day on my emotional state is beyond belief. But it's it is it was foolhardy foolhardy for Senator Paul who had the argument to walk away from it. Because with that line, he can be dismissed. He can be completely and totally dismissed. It is not going to be an easy hearing for Senator Mullen.
It's not going to necessarily be an easy confirmation. Although I can state that he will most probably be confirmed as Mullen's response. My first question is do you think that justifying that kind of violence sets a good example for the men and women of ice and border patrol? Mr. Chairman, first of all, I didn't know they exceeded your damage. With a phone call was made, I made it to you and I tried to talk to you. You didn't engage at all. In fact, you said get your paperwork in. It's got to be at three works, three days in between. You offer no apology. And you offer no apology today and no regrets. I don't want to apologize. I haven't heard the word regret. I haven't heard I misspoke. And it was heated and I made a mistake. Actually, maybe those words. So actually it wasn't heated and I'm not apologizing for pointing out your couldn't or couldn't.
So okay. That's how it started. That's how it began. And I will say again that Senator Paul had a fine argument and he let it go. He allowed his emotions to get the best of them there. But when you're trying to be the secretary of Homeland Security, your past is going to come into question. Your past statements are going to get discussed and analyzed. No one should be surprised. This is Tony Katz today. So Caroline Levitt, the White House press secretary, did not have a full-on press conference today. But she did speak to the press about certainly what's going on in Iran. You have the bombing that's taking place on the B2s. Going out there and hitting these targets around the straight-of-war moves. We're talking about bunker busters.
If the Iranians think or I should say if the regime thinks they're going to be able to just shut down the straight and keep oil at some level of insane price, well, here's how we're going to handle it. And we're going to fly these bombers without worrying about whether or not they can be shot down by your pathetic defenses around. And we're going to utilize these bombs. The Sencom saying that U.S. forces successfully employed multiple 5,000-pound deep penetrator munitions on hardened Iranian missile sites along Iran's coastline near the straight-of-war moves. Now, whether or not other nations are going to come into this and say, hey, this is our oil. We're going to have to protect and defend our oil. We need to get it to our people. So therefore, we're going to be responsible in this whole conversation because Trump is now kind of floating this idea saying, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What do these people think?
We're carrying the heavy burden here. They're thrilled to see the Iranian regime gone. We're targeting this Iranian leader and that Israeli, I'm sorry, Iranian leader in the Israelis are just ripping these people apart. Hey, maybe they're upset. Maybe they're upset that they didn't get invited to be part of all the glory. But when it comes to the straight-of-war moves, it's your oil, 27% of the world's oil and it's not ours. You're the ones who use it. Why don't you pay for it? And that has led to a Trump calling on these people, the non-responsive allies saying that I wonder what would happen if we finished off what's left of the Iran terrorist state. I wonder what would happen if we finished off what's left of the Iranian terror state. And let the countries that use it, we don't be responsible for the so-called straight. Now he's spelled it, S-T-R-A-I-G-H-T.
Oh, good lord. He then added that would get some of our non-responsive allies in gear and fast. It's an interesting argument. What if we just take care of this regime? Get it done. Some other governments in power. You all figured out, have a nice day. And ain't our oil. Whatever it is is. Somebody on X had posted, it wasn't me. And post an idea of what about this? You know, we can't control this, I have discussed. We can't control what kind of government that they have. Right? Well, you get rid of the terrorist regime, which I believe we can have a say in because we were the ones being attacked. Since 1979, we've got all the data. But if they should select, they're not going to have a constitutional republic. They can have a bunch of different types of governments. Well, let them work out with others how the straight gets used and if they want to, let's say, charge a toll.
Maybe they want to charge a toll there. Maybe you got to pay and let those people deal with it. It's not our problem, it's your problem. We have to now ensure a safe passage of your oil and you don't even say thank you. Now, you figured out what that will take out the regime. We'll go, you do the rest. We will have a say in who the new leadership is because we can't have somebody who has connected terrorism. That dog won't hunt. I think there are a lot of Americans who be like, yeah, it's totally fine. Because I do believe that the vast majority of Americans believe in the idea that the Iranians, not the Iranians, the Europeans should pay for their own protection. We've been protecting Europe since the end of World War II. And they have flaunted it by hating us. Screw them. 2% of GDP. NATO, you've got to pay 2% of GDP to belong to NATO for NATO's defense. Because we're not putting the bill anymore. And those countries hyperventilated and then started paying the 2%.
So Trump said, you know what, 5% of GDP, 5% in, let's go. And then they learned from Biden in watching what happened with Russia and Ukraine that they can't rely on the United States if the wrong leadership is in play. If those progressives aren't playing now, they still vote for progressives for themselves. Because like in the UK and in Spain, they're unbelievably weak and wholly inept. But if you've got weak American leadership, you've got yourself a problem with those advancing, marauding, expansionist Russians, no matter what Tucker Carlson says, doesn't matter what Tucker or the Tucker puppet say. This is the fact. This is what we know to be true. And all we have to do is look at the recent history. So you pay for the straight, figure it out. Now, what Trump says and what Trump does are two very, very, very different things. There's a difference between words and deeds.
We've been talking about this for years. I can go back to Trump's first term. I was discussing this on air. But this is the background for which the questions now come to Caroline Levin as she's there on Pebble Beach. That's the area of the White House where the cameras are all set up. They call it Pebble Beach. And it does. According to the legend, it comes from the TV show The West Wing. But I do think they now call it Pebble Beach. They might call it something else there within those who are actually on the grounds and part of the press corps there. She sought into the press outside the White House. The president declared this forever a success in the US does not retrieve Iran's nuclear views. Look, that's something the president has refused to comment on. It's an option on the table for him, but I'm not going to comment on it or take it off the table. We've defined the objectives of Operation Epic Fury very clearly, which is, of course, to wipe out Iran's ballistic missile arsenal,
which we have been very successful in doing. We've achieved dominance over the skies of Iran to annihilate their navy, which we have done. According to Centcom this morning, I received the updated numbers more than 120 naval vessels are at the bottom of the sea because of our United States Armed Forces. That's a great thing for the American people. That's a great thing for our allies in the region. And of course, to ensure that, yes, Iran cannot permanently, permanently cannot possess a nuclear weapon. It's something this president has long said for decades, but I'm not going to forecast or remove any future options off the table. So the question is, hey, what is success here? When is he done? Can he do this and still leave and it's okay? The press wants these dropped-ed dates, the certainty. And no, the White House is absolutely not going to give them that, and the White House is correct, and not giving them that. The ability to produce a nuclear weapon or no? Look, again, we're in a place right now where we're ensuring that Iran can no longer threaten the United States of America and the United States military is doing a tremendous job at achieving these objectives.
Jack Caroline, is Tulsi Gabbard's job in jeopardy right now given to Joe Kent's job? Not to my knowledge. It's a question about Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence. You have that Joe Kent resignation, and that's fine. Glad he's gone. And it's weird because all of Joe Kent was running National Counterterrorism and said that he had to resign because he simply could not stand idly by. And see America, war in Iran, and there was no pretext for it. And there was no imminent threat to it. But he's got posting after posting after posting about the threat of the Iranians and taking out the Iranian regime. Statement after statement in his past on social media and other places, in interviews, et cetera. So it's very, very, very hard to take this move of his seriously.
And as you've heard me talk about, Joe Kent is a Tucker puppet. If you support Israel, you're a puppet of Israel. You're being paid for by Mossad, then the answer is you're a Tucker puppet. That's all you are. None of this is real. And for the record, I am on record. This move from Joe Kent, this move makes no sense whatsoever. The only way it makes sense is if you're going after an audience. The only way it makes sense is if you see this as your future. And I believe this true of Candice, of Tucker, of Megan Kelly, and all the rest. They see an audience here, fill that audience with your content. The whole idea that you're going to say that we have no interest in taking out the Iranian regime is lavable nonsense from silly people who are dishonest.
Israel is in charge of U.S. foreign policy. Okay, March retailer green. I didn't believe you before. I don't believe you now. It's a ridiculous argument made by people who are unwilling to engage on us. And to engage honestly and actually debate the facts. Events after event after event of terrorism linked to the Iranian regime. July 1989, the murder of Colonel William Higgins, a ran back to Hezbollah killed U.S. Marine Colonel William Higgins after kidnapping him the previous year while he was serving with a UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon. That's enough for me. That's enough to take out the entire Iranian regime. Nothing might not be enough for some, but that's their problem. Pax Americana, you better believe it. Oh, you're just a warmonger. I don't listen to those pansy children. I don't think you should either. But that does not mean we shouldn't always ask ourselves whether we're doing the right thing.
Whether we're engaged properly, whether we've engaged with overwhelming force. If you ask me, if I ever believe in engaging encounter and certainty tactics again, I watch what happened in Afghanistan. The answer is hell no. And I want to throw a couple of those generals in jail. 20 years, billions and billions and billions of dollars. And the entire Afghan army fell to the Taliban in three hours. Honey, you got spent some time in jail. But the idea that Iran never did anything to us, it wasn't a threat to us. Is laughable. And that comes solely from the anti-Israel set, which exists because bigots always exist. And exist because, well, it's good to have somebody to blame things on. And it exists because there are these people who have large audiences, who've decided to make this the cornerstone of their arguments. And people want to buy into it. No one believes the con more than the mark.
And Joe Kent, who, according to multiple sources, was frozen out. No place for Joe Kent. In the White House, in the meetings about what to do with Iran, going to war in Iran, it's been repeated everywhere. Left out of meetings, left out of intelligence briefings. He's got a wife who is virulently leftist and anti-Israel. And you understand why leftists are anti-Israel? Yes, and they're anti-Semites. And that is absolutely true. But it is also because when you see the whole world as oppressed and oppressor, everything they see is through the eyes of Karl Marx, as Barack Obama said, the 99% and the 1%. Well, there's an oppressed and there's an oppressor.
And you take a look at the Palestinians. Well, they're brown. They must be the oppressed. So therefore, the Israelis are the oppressors. Bad oppressors. That is has simplistic and childish as they view the world. Well, those Palestinians murdered 1,200 Israelis on October 7th. Hamas and Palestinians. Well, it wasn't really that bad. And you know, the rapes never happened. But still, Israel's doing too much. No, no, no, Israel's fault for taking the land. It's Israel's fault. That's their silly childlike argument. Not understanding history. Because for the leftist, there is no history. History started today. You think they've opened the book? By the way, Jo Ken's wife, Heather Kaiser, has written for the Grey Zone, a left-leaning outlet known for its anti-Israel and critical U.S. foreign policy stances. And what they both have a military history, which in and of itself could be respectable, what they have done since, not so respectable.
And by the way, the wife of Kent, Shannon Kent, his first wife, was killed by an ISIS suicide bomber. I mean, the guy's got a story, and not all of it is something you just dismiss. But this turn, 18 days after war starts, all of a sudden you say, I can't be a part of this. And then you're immediately scheduled on the podcast of Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, Jo Kent Tucker puppet. This is, this is about opportunity. You're frozen out of the administration. See, it decided to go this way. And you've got a wife now in your ear. Whisper into you. Speak it to you. There's no doubt that could have a play here. Tucker puppet, Jo Kent. That's how he will be referred to. I will never stop. All I did was take the lessons from the left
and the woke right, and I'm applying it to them. They could be as angry as they want. That's their problem. Taking out the Iranian regime is the right thing to do. We'll have victory when their terrorism is gone. I'm Tony Katz. They'll vote on the Save Act, but it will not pass. It's not going to pass just so we all know it. But I want to get these Democrats on the record. I think that's important. Tony Katz, Tony Katz today. Good to be with you. I also think it's important that we vote Lisa Murkowski out. She argues that Save Act is going to hurt Alaskans and they live in such rural areas that they won't be able to engage the paperwork necessary to make any level of name change or get IDs to register to vote properly. I don't disagree or I should say I don't argue that there might that might take them some more time if you're in very rural areas. I can say that about anywhere. Doesn't change the fact that you need to make sure you know who's voting and you have IDs when they're registered to vote.
Never mind actually voting. That's that. And to not favor this, well, Murkowski has to go. She has to go. There's no place for her and real money has to be spent if necessary to get her out of a primer. And she'll run it as an independent. She's done it before. You're going to have to run hard against the Murkowski name in Alaska. But she has to go. The fact that it might be more difficult doesn't mean that the legislation shouldn't happen. Find everything at Tony Katz.com. I'll catch you tomorrow. Everyone, take care.
