Hello, in this episode I'm answering a few of your burning questions and these are good ones. These were submitted on Instagram and I'm going to keep them anonymous. But today we are going to dive into questions like how to glow up and what glow up tips I would give to fully embody how you want to feel on the inside and the outside to shifting feelings of money scarcity to how to tap into higher levels of creativity when we are in a rut and more. This is going to be a great episode. Let's go. Welcome to All In With Ali, the podcast for online business owners and entrepreneurs who are ready to create the life and business of their dreams. I am so happy you are here. Let's just dive in, we don't need any introduction other than what we've already done. Let's just get to the good stuff. So the first question that I got and again these were all submitted on Instagram.
And if you ever have a question or a topic or something for me to riff on in an episode, you can always always DM me either on the podcast Instagram at oh shoot, what is the podcast Instagram? I think it's all in with Ali podcast. I don't know. You can see it on my personal. So on my personal, you can also DM me there. It's at Ali, I Reeves and in my bio. I linked my podcast. I can't remember the exact handle. Okay. Either way, you can DM me and listen, podcasts, episode ideas are very helpful. When you are recording something brand new every single week, you appreciate feedback and ideas. So never feel shy about them. But these are great questions. So let's dive in. The first one that we are going to answer is pretty simple, but I think helpful. How many hours a day do I work in my business or how many hours do I work on my business?
So the first thing I want to say here is obviously this is going to be different for every single person. Every business is going to require a different level of focus. Everybody works at different levels. You know, like I know people who are very four hour work week type people. Whatever, like what is it? Whatever. I think that's the book for our work week, something like that, where they get more done in an hour than I can do in a day. It's just the way that some people are. I'm not that way. I'm full many, Jen. I'm designed to work. I hate saying that, but it's kind of true in a sense. Like I love it. I still have some conditioning of like nine to five thinking, but that actually really works for me. And I don't mind it because Chris has a traditional nine to five. We both work remotely, but you know, while he's working and we have childcare, that's a great
time to work on my business, which happens to be about nine to five. So that is when I am working on my business. It's not every single hour. Like I have my head down and I'm working eight hours a day. I keep it very flexible. I book no more than two calls a day. If I can have less calls than I've ever had, which is something really exciting. And then I do creative work and I eat when I want to and I take walks with the dogs and I run errands in those times. And I go work at different places. And you know, there's a lot that goes on in those hours, but that is what my work day looks like. Now to give a little bit of perspective, when I first started this business, like back in the very, very, very beginning, when I shifted my social media company to my current business, which is of course evolved, but in 2018, I shifted my social media management business to teaching
online. And when I did that, Cruz was just born. So I was a brand new mom. Chris was working in Nashville. So he would have to leave the house at about six, six, 30 in the morning and wouldn't get home till about six, six, 30 at night. And we didn't have an any at the time. Like Cruz was really young and it just wasn't the plan at the time. I wanted to be the sole caretaker for him. So I built this business in, I don't know, a couple of hours a day. You know, Cruz would at the time take two, 90 minute naps if I was really lucky a day. And then I would kind of, you know, while he's eating, I would do lives and I still have footage of him sitting behind me eating a snack on trying to do a live. I still have videos of me recording videos and on Instagram and Instagram stories. This is when Instagram stories first became a thing. And I'm like bouncing him on my side.
And I, I mean, that's just how I did it. And I did it in a few hours a day. And then Chris would come home and there were many times that I would have to host a late night call because I couldn't do it during the day because scheduling. And it was a little bit more of a grind. And then as my business started to grow, then and Cruz also was growing and was a little bit older, then we brought on childcare. We hired our first nanny. And I had more time and and focus time and predictable time to work during the day. And that made life and business a lot easier. So I just want to share, you know, I certainly didn't start this business working eight hours a day on it. But that's what I get to do now. And I'm very fortunate. And also, I think it's fair to say to my goal most weeks is to be able to take Fridays off or to do creative work on Fridays, depending on whatever it is that I want to do. Like I don't do vox or coaching on Fridays. I don't see clients on
Fridays except for very, very rare exceptions. Like I have some clients who are overseas in Australia and in the UK. So sometimes we make exceptions there. But anyway, my my schedule is it's pretty flexible. But in terms of when I do work, it's between about nine and five p.m. The next question, I love this one so much. It's so good. I could talk about this all day. But the next question is, what are some glow-up tips to embody the outer image of how we feel inside, meaning my inner work is on point. Things are happening. But I want to work on the outer image too, from work out to health, to wellness, to outfits, to makeup. What would you do if you were starting at all of this from scratch? So good. So exciting. I think this is kind of like a manifestation secret. This
is kind of, I mean, this is just another version of acting as if in a way, right? Like what we're referring to here is full embodiment. It is being a mirror and being an example of how you want to feel on the inside and the outside. And that's where a lot of people kind of get confused, or they slow themselves down a bit. Because they allow themselves to be one way, maybe in business or in certain practices, right? So for example, let's say you're growing a business and you have a desire of being a business, you know, a highly respected business woman who makes bold decisions and who is highly respected and has strong boundaries, right? Like you
desire being this powerhouse type person. And you allow yourself to be this way in business. But then as soon as, you know, five o'clock grins around her as soon as you're done and your personal life, you don't hold the same standards. So then it's like this weird dualistic. It's just, it's simply not fully embodied. And I'm not saying that you have to be powerhouse alpha female in every aspect of your life, right? Like, like, I feel like I'm very masculine in a lot of ways and and get a quote, powerhouse via my business. But then like, I want to be softer and more feminine in my relationship with Chris. So that's not what I mean. But I mean like your standards for life, you have certain standards in some areas, but then you let them get soft and bleed in a way that doesn't serve you in other areas. And it simply just isn't fully embodied yet. And sometimes it
takes some practice. So with this question, that's what I'm hearing is like, I feel so great on the outside. I'm feeling how I want to feel or excuse me on the inside. I feel so good. I work so hard on my mindset and my internal state. But I'm noticing a discrepancy on my outer image. And I want them to be fully embodied together. I want them to be a match. And this is such a beautiful thing. So the next thing that I want to say is this is going to be different for everybody. So some women like myself, it is very important to me how I look on the outside. It matters to me. It's it's valued to me. The better I feel on the outside, the better I feel on the inside and a lot of regards. It makes me feel confident. It just I have a lot of pride in my outer image. And I always have and I see personally nothing wrong with this. But some people they don't feel the same way. Right?
It's not the same level of value. And that's okay too. So everything that I'm about to say moving forward for this question, I don't want you to hear this and feel like you need to do the same things and feel like you're doing something wrong. If you don't value what I value and what this person who's asking the question values, if you feel good with you and you're proud of yourself, that is all that matters. All that matters. But this question is coming from I feel really good. And I'm ready to take it to another level in this area of my life, which happens to be, you know, it sounds like the outer image part of this woman's experience. So to answer the question, what would I do if I were starting all of this from scratch? First thing I want to say is I want you to have fun with this. You don't need to do this all over night. You don't, you know, it doesn't
have to be this thing where it's like, okay, all of a sudden I need a new wardrobe and I want my place to look different. And I need the car that matches the vibe and I need all of these things. You get to have them, but I don't want it to feel and I don't think it, I think it does us a disservice when we feel like when it's not there that you're less powerful or you're less something. You're not less anything. It's just you get to want these things and you get to create them. But have fun with it. And the second thing that I would say, and if I were to do this myself, and I am doing this myself, is I would simply be super intentional about what it is that I buy and what it is that I put on my body and in my environment. So being fully honest, I certainly go through phases where I'll buy like the fast thing. I'll buy the Amazon thing. I'll buy the trendy thing on TikTok when I'm on TikTok. I'm not anymore. I will get the thing
on sale. I'll walk through Target and I'll grab, you know, a couple of the cute, see little trendy things. And then or I'll buy, you know, the trendy jacket or, you know, the Amazon set that I saw the influencer promoting. And it, you know, it's fun in the moment. But and again, everybody has different relationships with consumerism and the things that they buy. But there's a frequency to everything, right? And I mean, I will tell you like every single week, I am taking a trash bag to my house every, every single week between like the random toys and and little tiny things that the boys accumulate from like going to the grocery store and getting something or like something at school that they're making or that sounds bad. If like taking a trash bag to their, there are projects,
some of them, yes, sorry. And then not to mention like Chris is constantly buying some sort of like sports thing or hat or something on Amazon, some sort of like stretching thing on Amazon. Oh my God, don't even get me started. But I contribute to the, to the issue too, you know, like a little things like we, we all get caught up with the influencer that we love and you know, we're buying the thing. But I want to take a trash bag to my house every week because there's so much accumulation with crap that I just feels I don't know it just and I, I, you can't really put a finger on it. But if I had to guess it's because it's just it's not made intentionally, it's not made well, it's not made to last, it's just either fast fashion or fast plastic or fast shit. I don't really know what it's called. It's just fast and it's, it is what it is like it serves a purpose for a time and then it accumulates and it's just there and it drives me in freaking same. And I personally am
craving just a refresh of my home and all of my things like I see the same thing in my closet. And I'm, you know, I do closet, you know, my sister's the luckiest chick on earth because I'm constantly giving her my clothes and it's good stuff. But it's like like I wear white t-shirts and good jeans, you know, and I'm like, why do I buy anything else? Most of the days. So I guess all of that to say, all of that to say that's just me, that's my experience. But again, you know, you're asking if I were to do it all over again and start from scratch, I simply would invest in quality pieces all over my life from, you know, high quality skincare that I feel good putting on my body to good makeup that that I value and it's not just like quick stuff that I'm buying because some influencer did a video on it. Clothes especially,
like a good solid high quality capsule wardrobe feels very enticing. You know, high quality bras and undergarments and and shoes and, you know, not saying like everything has to be designed or that's not what I'm saying, but just like you know that you like the brand, you you maybe value how it's made, you like how it feels on you. Like I have jeans in my closet. Like I have my go-to jeans. I have so many jeans it's actually disgusting. And there are some of them. I like how they look on me. I hate how they feel on me. You know, like like something about Levi's for example, I love. They're just classic. They're so well made and they just feel good on my body and they're not crazy expensive. They're you know, middle of the road depending on depending probably lower the road. But they're so good. But then I have some jeans from Zara and like they might be cute but they feel so icky.
And if you go and you do some research on how these are made, and I don't know how Levi's are made, but I think there's probably a difference. So to me that's what I personally in this stage of life, I'm really craving. I have a client right now and she is a Feng Shui expert. And she actually, I'll have to bring her on the podcast. And I'm working with her behind the scenes. I'm working with her very closely right now. And we're working on some of her offers and she's about to do this master class about how to color code your house based on energy centers and based on your actual your birthday and your family's birthdays and how you want to feel in certain rooms. And it's stuff like that that I'm like, yes, like full body hell, yes, like I'm going to my client's master class. And and I'll probably be a client of hers. That's where I'm at. So to answer the question, if I
were to start from scratch, and if this was really important for me for my inner for my outer world to be a reflection of my inner world, it would come down to higher quality, higher frequency, everything. And it may look like I have to buy a little slower because of budget reasons, right? It may look like I can't redo a whole room overnight because I want to buy a higher quality lamp or I want to buy a higher quality rug or the higher quality candle or whatever. But okay, okay. And this is like such a silly example. Okay, a couple of years ago, I bought myself my first dipteek candle. Okay. And you've seen these around there. The candles with like the really cool branding with like the letters that overlay just search dipteek. And you'll see it, most of you probably know what that is. But I always they're not cheap. And I bought my first one
because I wanted like a fancy nice candle for my baths. I'm a big bathgale. And this candle brought me so much joy. I can't explain it like the way that it came and it was packaged and lasted a long time and it smelled lovely and it wasn't overpowering and it was the candle itself was beautiful. And I love the aesthetic of it. And I bought a couple more for the house. And then they kind of ran out. And then it was kind of one of those things. I was like, do you need the dipteek candle? Like just get the get the home goods candle, get the target candle. It's not the same. For me, for me, it's just not the same. Like there are just some things that I would much rather invest in and get the quality thing. And if it makes I fully believe it makes you feel a certain way, if you feel a certain way, you're at a different frequency, you're going to attract differently. I think if you're walking around and you feel good on the inside and you feel like how you are
presenting yourself to the outside world, whether that be how you feel wellness wise, right? Your skin is glowing. You've been working out. You feel like you're more toned. You're going to feel more confident in your body. You're going to sit up straighter when you feel confident in your clothes and you're feeling you feel like what you're wearing, you're wearing well. And it feels good on your body. And it doesn't again, it doesn't have to be expensive. It can be a czar. It can be whatever you want. You can feel good in Amazon stuff. I'm wearing an Amazon t-shirt right now and I love it because it fits so well. I'm about to buy seven more of these. So I'm a big fan of high low fashion investment pieces and then more affordable t-shirts or whatever. Whatever feel, it just, if it feels good for you, that's the goal. That's it. If it feels good for you. And I think where we get a little caught up and confused is because there are a lot of people online, a lot of influencers where they love the Amazon sets. They love wearing these things.
And God love them. Like there's nothing wrong with that. But I fall into the trap again and again and I get the thing and I'm like something it just doesn't feel good on my body. It might be cute. It's a mismatch. It's simply a mismatch. So I think when we can stop making drama with this and making ourselves feel bad about it, I think we can just own it. And I think it was, what was it Marie Kondo? Wasn't that her whole thing? And I never watched that show when she was big on Netflix. She had a show on Netflix. But I think that was the whole thing that she had you like hold whatever piece of clothing or whatever it is. I was like, wasn't it like do you do you love this thing? I don't know. It was something like that. And I fully get that now. It's like how does this candle make you feel? Yeah, you're nae. If it's nae, get it out of the house. It's not worth it. So anyway, I think the fact that I think this idea
in this question and having this level of awareness of like, okay, there's a couple of things that are in misalignment. You know, I feel great on the inside, but something on the outside isn't quite a match. It's so worth exploring. And by the way, that can be reversed. You see that all the time. You see people who look fantastic on the outside or maybe they feel great on the outside, but inside is really crummy. That needs to be addressed too. So this can go in so many different directions. But full embodiment is the goal because the more that you're able to show up as the version of who you are becoming, right? That's what becoming means. You know the version of yourself that you are evolving into and you allow yourself to start showing up as her today in as many ways as possible. Not only in the moves that you make and the thoughts that you think and the beliefs that you're adopting, but also outer reflections as well, you know, in terms of your appearance, but also your
environment too. Such a good question. Thank you for asking that. Okay. Next question. I am someone who is generally positive regarding money flow and my relationship with wealth and abundance, but I can't help but recognize that the past few months have felt more difficult when it comes to attracting clients and my usual levels of sales. How do you maintain a healthy frame of mind when reality seems to stubbornly show you otherwise? Well said fantastic question. First of all, this is so relatable. Okay. Any business owner that tells you they cannot relate to this or has hasn't been able to relate to this in one way or another, I would say is lying. I mean, it's just like it is what it is, right? Like we've all been there and the reason why is because money is meant to flow. Money is constantly going in and out. It is energy, right? So think of an
ocean, think of a wave. It goes in, the tide goes in, it goes out, but it always comes back in, it always goes back out. Same thing with breathing. Okay. You're going to breathe in, but the only way that you can breathe another breath is if you allow it to breathe to leave your body and then breathe it back in. You can't just breathe in and hold it there. You can't just make money and hold it there and expect for money to continue to flow. So money is energy. It's always going to flow in and out. So when you can understand this, it allows you to have maybe or I'll speak for myself, it's allowed me to have a less firm grip on money because I totally have fallen into the trap of like, I would make some and be like, oh my gosh, I'm so scared that if I let it go, it's never going to come back. And that tells you everything that you need to know right there, that you're scared that it's not going to come back. That's what we need to address, right? Like you, when you take a
breath, you're not afraid that when you breathe out, you're not going to breathe in again. That's, that's, you know, we're not afraid that the ocean, it's the same thing. It's the same thing. So right now, you're having a money flowing out moment and it wants to flow back in, but how you're feeling about money and what you're choosing to focus on is a discrepancy and it's a little bit of a tiny, tiny, little block with money trying to flow its way back to you and it wants to flow its way back to you. Okay? You have so much frequency in you that is such a match to mass amounts of wealth, but it has to be for that frequency to be the thing that is the attend, the attendant attracting those levels of wealth, you have to be attuned to that antenna. You have to be attuned to that frequency, but right now you're attuned to a lower level frequency. Therefore, that money it's trying to come to you, but your will is saying it's not happening, it's blocked,
it's stuck, the economy, this, the presidency, the presidency election, that, and it's blocking it straight up. So what I would love to remind you of, and here's the thing, you don't have to believe this. Okay? I realize everybody has their own relationship with spirituality, everybody has their own understanding and level of belief with quantum physics. I am a deep, deep believer in the power of our minds. I think that's pretty clear. Like if you've been listening to this podcast for more than five minutes, you know that that's my shit. And you do not have to believe a word that I say next for this to work for you, right? Like all I am encouraging you to do is simply practice thinking a different way, practice focusing a different way. It doesn't mean you have to believe
in the love attraction, it doesn't mean that you can't believe in Jesus, it doesn't mean that it just simply means that you're going to be thinking about things and training your mind to look at at situations a different way. Okay? What could go wrong? What could go wrong? You feel a little bit better? You're a little bit happier. You actually start attracting the money that you actually want to create. Sounds awful. You know, I feel like I'm not talking to anybody here, but you just never know. Anyway, my point in saying that is like, again, you don't have to be a crazy believer in this. But what I will tell you is your reality will shift and you will notice what you predominantly focus on. So it sounds like this person who submitted this question in the past had a really, wasn't a really good place with what she chose to focus on. And that continued to manifest in her life, right? She was focusing on money flow, she was focusing on clients paying,
she had that level of belief and clients paid her, right? So she, she, what is the freaking word that I'm trying to think of that's going to drive me insane. Her pet you waited, she perpetuated that via her thoughts and her beliefs. But here's the other thing, business is also going to ebb and flow. So in the same way that money flows in and out business as an entrepreneur, it's going to go up and down, right? Nobody just grows linearly. That's not a thing. So when business starts to do its thing and an ebb just a little bit or a lot of it in some cases, what most people do is all of a sudden their brain freaks the hell out and says, oh no, something's going wrong. The plane is crashing. We're never going to get back up to where we were. Something's going wrong. And instead of number one, reminding themselves, okay, what goes down must go back up and vice versa. It's only matter of time till this turns back around. And number two, is there something
that I'm doing? Is there something that I can take responsibility for this ebb? Is there something in my business practices that needs to be tightened up a bit? Is there something in my energy that needs to be shifted a bit? Am I letting outer circumstances dictate my feelings on wealth and abundance? Because everybody feels good when money's there. Everybody believes in wealth and abundance when money is flowing. That's not impressive. What's impressive is when money dips and you still have that healthy relationship because you know and you have that level of certainty that of course it's going to come background. That of course it's going to flow back to you. As long as you take the actions in alignment with what you want to create, it has to happen. But what a lot of people do is as soon as that ebb starts happening, they start freaking the hell out and then they start focusing on the lack and what starts to happen. They start perpetuating the lack and they say, see? See? It's an election year and business started to ebb.
And I just I knew this was going to happen. Everybody said this was going to happen. I knew this was going to happen and look what's happening. Nobody's buying. They didn't buy last month. They didn't buy the month before that and they're not buying this month. So it must be something else. And then it turns into this whole downward spiral. And meanwhile you're still focusing on shit that you don't want to happen. You're still perpetuating shit that doesn't want to happen. And then you're like, none of this works. Everything sucks. I'm not meant to be an entrepreneur. I hate my life. Everybody's lying on the internet. The coaching industries is scam. There's no way people are actually making money. I'm not making money. So they can't be making money. And you wonder why nothing's fun anymore. Money is not flowing to you. And by the way, I'm not saying this is this person, the person that submitted this question. I'm just going off on on lots of different tangents here. Because by the way, I've been here. I've done this. And this is what our ego wants. Right? God forbid it's something that we're doing. God forbid it's our focus. And we have to take
responsibility for it. Okay. What? I played a card somewhere down the line that and this is where I'm at. This is what it got me. How can I play a different card? No. You know, instead it's like it's not me. It's the election. It's not me. It's the economy. It's not me. It's people that are scared to take risks. It's not me. It's people lying on the internet. You know, and it's just constant projection and lack of self responsibility. And what does that create? Nine times out of 10, a lack of the results that you actually want. So here's what we're going to do. We remind ourselves what you focus on grows. I know for a fact, even if sales aren't exactly where you want them to be, there are so many things you could point out right now that are going right. There are clients that are paying you right now. There are people in your world. Maybe they're
not buying, but they're inquiring about working with you, which means that they want to work with you. But maybe that offer or this specific time isn't the perfect time for them. So there's nothing about you. It's just where they're at. Right. There's so much abundance around you. Can you start to shift? Can you take off the shit goggles for five minutes, put on the rose ones and look around and change your perspective of the situation? That would be the best thing you ever do. And the more that you can practice that, you are starting to shift that frequency from down here to lack, lack frequency, scarcity frequency up more toward the frequency of wealth abundance, whatever you want to call it. And you will notice probably faster than you think those results start to shift. It happens so fast. The fastest path to this, if you want to do like a, I don't know,
shortcut to this is gratitude. That's it. Gratitude. How can you get yourself back in a place of gratitude? What is going right? Right. Like I talked about in the 40k, I think it's the last episode, how I had a 40k day and the day before it was like a zero, it was a zero sales day and I was just really funky for a myriad of reasons. And, and I was just like, okay, if I really believe in this, the last thing I'm going to do is like keep bitching about things that I don't want to happen. So I, I shifted myself. I shifted myself. I started talking about like, wow, I'm healthy. My kids are healthy. You know, we have a roof over our head. We're not worried about what we're going to eat tonight. I have clients that are paying me that love me. I, you know, and it just started, it could literally feel the shift in my body. Am I saying that's what brought on the 40k day? I'm saying it certainly didn't hurt. And also, and no, you know, there were other actions that took
place before then, but there are other actions that you have already taken to that money is, it's, it's here. It is so close. Like, if you only knew, and this would be, it'd be fun for you to play with, right? Like, if you only knew how much money was one move from happening to you, one move from like a pile of money within, within an hour in one day, $36,000 flew into my bank, into my business. You know, so like, it's so close, but you have to, you have to shift it. There's got to be something here. You have to take, you have to be willing to take responsibility for where you got off track. And then you have to take full responsibility for how you get yourself back on track. And I'm not saying, I am not saying that we bulldoze our feelings, that we don't feel a certain
way. I'm not saying you can't have a bad day. You can't have a bad week. Okay? This is not like a toxic positivity thing where like you need to be this, this fairy robot who only thinks positive feelings all the time. That's not what I'm saying. It's what you choose to focus on. You can be in a shitty mood and still know that money is coming to you and still be rooted in gratitude for where you're at in so many areas of life. You can still have a broken heart or be sad for a loved one in your life or whatever the case may be and still be deeply rooted in your own personal power. You can forget and be and and not feel feel rooted in your personal power for short periods of time. That of course is going to happen. But you got to bring yourself back. Don't stay there too long. I think we get a little and it's like this victim. I hate to say it. And again, I resonate with
this deeply, but like it feels good sometimes to put on the victim hat and be like, this is nothing's working. Lively. That serves us to a degree because it means that we don't have to take action or it's not us or whatever. It doesn't matter, but it's not serving you in the way that you think it is. Maybe for five minutes and then get over it. Move on. We have a business to run. We have life to change. Lives to change. Okay. So another thing that I want to say to you is this. And this is a cold hard fact. And this is for all my girlies out there that like to not like, but are susceptible to these general seasons, whether that be in the year or in terms or whatever, we're supposedly
people don't spend as much money. Right. You'll hear people say, well, people don't like to buy things over the summer. People don't like to buy things in the winter. It's an election year. It's a down economy. It's an up economy. So people don't like to buy things. It's like, what? Okay. When do people like to buy things? Because last time I checked, bitches don't stop buying things. Okay. Do you know how much money is being spent constantly? I had two people in one day spent $18,000 with me. $18,000 paid in full. And you're telling me people don't spend money right now because of an election? And you're like, yeah, but that's two people. Come on. There are so many people who are unaffected by these these situations like are there are there groups of people? Unfortunately,
that yes, are more fearful or are more impacted by certain seasons and certain times of the economy and what up in elections. Yes, of course, of course. But it's not just because of what it could be anything. It could be because it's raining today. And you know, so like, who are you speaking to? Who are you trying to sell to? If you're if you are focused on people that aren't spending because it's an election year, that is who you are speaking to. That's who you're focusing on. I'm saying brought in your focus. Stop looking at the subset of people that supposedly aren't spending money, which by the way, they are people buy what they want. So if they're not buying with you, it's because there's something about what you're selling that they don't want. That's okay. You can shift your messaging or you can focus on selling to people who are buying what it is that you want them to buy. But people are always spending money and mass amounts of it. There's so much
money circulating. It would make your freaking head spin. And you know this. You know this. But the more that you continue to put on the victim hat and and you know, cross your fingers and pal and say, no, wait, it's buying and again, I've been there. But that's going to keep you there. And you're just going to perpetuate it. And if that's what you want to do, fine, but that's not what you want to do. So take that off. Zoom out and realize there are millions of dollars circulating. You can have a million dollar day if you set your mind to it. I know women who have and they are no different than me and you. They just don't have rules and regulations in their mind for when and how much money they can make. Right. They have no stipulations of I can sell here. I can't sell here. I can sell during this time. I can't sell during this time. I can sell something that's this much. I can't sell something that's that no, they make an offer that feels good. They price the offer in a
way that makes sense to them and they put it out in front of the right people and the right people buy it. And if they don't buy it, they make something else. And they make it mean nothing. So speak to those people. Speak to the people that are buying because they're out there. Okay. Next question. I feel such a lack of creativity lately. And it's really freaking me out. What do you do to boost yours when you are feeling uninspired? This when I tell you this has been a theme in my life and my own circle lately. I have felt this way. My mastermind has been feeling this way like all of us have been talking about this. So I don't know if it's like and you know what? I'm not even going to I was about to say I don't know if it's an astrological thing, but that's kind of the same thing as saying like it's the economy. You know, these are all just little blocks that we put on our own path. Right. If you keep saying like you're blocked, you're you're blocking yourself.
So stop saying that. But I will say like I get it and I know a lot of women who would relate to this. So here's what we've been doing. And here's what I have been doing. First, one thing, a correlation anytime I am feeling a lack of creativity or just like really uninspired when it comes to what it is that I'm putting out to the world. A direct correlation every single time is because I'm spending too much time consuming. I am I'm spending too much time on my phone. I'm spending too much time on social media and I'm not taking enough time to myself. This is something that I struggle with anyway, just as a human. I have a pretty decent addiction to social media and I'm I'm dealing with it and to my phone and I'm dealing with it. But it also ebbs and blows. And again, any time that I'm
feeling this disconnection to my creativity, it's because I am having more of a connection to other peoples, other peoples creativity to other peoples creations versus on versus taking the time to create my own and to have my own original ideas and my own time to think. So the first thing that I want to share with you is this app that I that actually one of my dear clients, Scotty Duret, she is the podcast host of Momplex, which I've had her on the show. She does soul readings. She's an incredible woman and she introduced me to the Opal app and this thing has changed my life. It changed my life in a freaking day. It is by far one of the best apps I've ever downloaded on my phone and all it does is it blocks whatever app you want it to block for certain periods of time. So you can have like working hours, you can have morning quiet time, you can have you can set
these blocks and then you simply just tell Opal what apps you want to be blocked. And during these times you can't click on these apps or you can, but a different screen will come up. It'll be like a screen that Opal designed and it's something motivating and it's like create your own stuff, not consume on Instagram. You know, it's just like these really helpful reminders of like, oh yeah, because what I found after I downloaded this app, what was so annoying and really alert, it just really showed a lot was how often I would unconsciously grab my phone and tap on these apps like completely unconsciously, right? Like that's super concerning. So what was cool is like, I would do that just out of pure habit and tap on an app to do some mindless scrolling and it wouldn't let me and I was like, oh yeah, okay, and you have to put your phone down and you get back
to what you're doing and you're getting hours of your life back. And if you want to take a little break, you can, but you have to go into Opal. It makes you wait six seconds, which allows you to like, again, come fully conscious to what you're doing. So you can't just like tap in your back in. And then you have to tap on a button, take a break and you have to set a time limit for how long you want that break. So it just makes you be super intentional. Like, okay, I actually do need to get on Instagram right now to respond to a message. So I'm going to set this timer at five minutes and then it's going to automatically kicks you back out. So it is brilliant. Like the interface, everything about it is so well done. And I've gotten hours of my day back. I do this. I put it on at night so that I can't like randomly just get that dopamine hit while I'm dealing with my raging children in the witching hour. And it's just been really nice. It also calculates for you
as well. How much of your life you've spent on your phone? It's like when you first download the app, it says like, you know, about how many hours do you think you spend a day on your phone? And I think I put in, I don't know, three hours a day, something like that. I don't know for sure. I don't even want to know. But it calculated over a lifetime, how many years I would spend on my phone, if that's how much time I spent. And it was sickening. I can't remember the number now. Unfortunately, but it was years. I mean, years and years and years of your life on your phone, which is tragic. I mean, so depressing. And it just puts things in perspective. And by the way, I got kind of lazy with the app last week. And sent me a notification. It was like, actually, you were on your phone five hours this day or six hours this day. You're actually double what your you know, what you thought you were spending on your phone. So you're actually spending 40 years
of your life on your phone. I'm like, ah, it's not that much, but it is, it is terrifying. So I couldn't recommend more everybody get the Opal app because like, we just need to be more intentional. It's not that we can't consume. It's not that it's not all bad, but everything and moderation, right? Like anything that is good for you, taken too much can almost kill you. Like anything, like anything, right? You can drink too much water and drown yourself. That's a thing. So same thing with social media is same thing with everything. But unfortunately, these devices and these apps, as we know, are wildly, wildly heroin level, addicting. I don't know. I've never taken heroin. Thank you, God. But it's, it's addicting. Bad. So we don't want to be dominated by that. We don't want to turn around
in 10 years and realize half of that was spent watching dumb shit on Instagram. So we can take control. And that's a really helpful thing. And with that, you are spending less time consuming and more time working on your own shit or doing whatever you need to do. So that's a help. And then in the same vein of that, taking time alone, taking quiet time. I have shared this so many times and this is still something that unfortunately, I find myself struggling with. But like, I'm addicted to consuming. I'm addicted to other people's inputs. I have the podcasts that I love. I have the YouTube channels that I love. I have the books that I'm listening to. You know, I, I'm addicted to learning and and listening to interesting conversations. But the issue with that is I'm not giving my brain any space to do its thing, right? Unless I'm sleeping, my brain doesn't have time to come up with its own ideas or to sort out the problems that I've given
it. So it's just a mess and it's using all of that energy, taking in all of this other information, trying to sort out my own shit, you know, in two second increments when I'm not listening to something. And it's a wonder why I don't have creative ideas. So I would assume whoever submitted this question could probably relate to that a little bit. One thing that I was inspired by my husband is he will do things where he intentionally doesn't listen to the phone. For, for example, like when he's mowing the lawn, we have a really big side yard. And when he's doing the side yard, because it takes, you know, 45 minutes or so, he will intentionally not listen to a book or not listen to whatever until intentionally just raw dog it. And the amount of times he's come in for mowing the lawn and said to me, you have to hear this download that I got. Listen to these ideas
or like he'll rush in and write all these things down on a notepad because shocker, his brain, you know, he was able to like get some download or his brain gave him a solution to an issue, to a creative issue that he was having. And it's like, oh, okay, that could happen for us too. So it's not complicated. You just probably need a little bit more time to think, a little bit more time to yourself, a little less than put it and less time consuming like us all. Okay, so that's good for today. We have a few other ones that will cover in another episode. But for now, that will do it. I hope this was helpful. If it was take a screenshot, tag me on Instagram. Let me know how this was helpful. Leave us a five star review on iTunes. That is more helpful than you will ever know if you enjoy this. That would be the best way that you can say thank you. But other than that, I love you and I'll see you here next week. Bye.
