About this episode
In this epsiode we get real about the “bubble” , that sweet spot where friendship, trust, and boundaries collide. We share stories of teenagers making rebellious moves (like hiding tequila in laundry baskets – yes, really!) and teach how patterns, signs, and a good analogy can reveal what’s really going on in your kid’s brain. Plus, discover how to teach resilience by letting them walk in the rain, even if it means soaking wet kids and parents.
You’ll discover:
- Why life's “boring” moments are actually gifts (and how chaos could be a sign you’re doing okay).
- The surprising reasons teenagers are secretly testing boundaries — from “not coming home on purpose” to ditching curfews with Uber secret missions.
- How to decode your child's behavior through patterns — and why calling them “weird” might be your best compliment.
- The truth about psychic predictions, casinos, and how life’s a game you play, not a slot machine you hope to hit the jackpot on.
- Practical parenting hacks that help kids build independence without losing sight of their safety.
This episode is perfect for parents drowning in laundry, teens who are flying the coop, or anyone trying to keep their kids a little less “drama” and a lot more “trust.” Because in the end, the bubble isn’t about control — it’s about giving your kids the space to grow, stumble, and come back stronger.
Join Cat & Nat as they turn chaos into clarity, rebellion into resilience, and remind you why sometimes, you just gotta let them fall — so they can learn how to fly.

If I had had a bottle of tequila, even if we were asked to bring it home
because to have it the night, I would have drank that shit. Oh, yes. I would have taken it to my friends and I bought a good tequila. Yeah. Nobody remembered that was a month ago. And they did. Never the plastic was still. It's gone. Damn, that's funny. And it wasn't even like, oh no, Mark told us to bring that home so that it didn't get thrown out. Okay, I was saying to, so I, like, I like a bubble. I like a bubble. Yeah. I don't like the non bubble. I prefer a bubble. Can you explain the bubble? You know, the bubble is what you can control. And the bubble is your, like, when you're younger, and you have little kids and then you make friends with people you like so then you can control the kids that you bring into your house. So it's like, you're, you're play date. And also they have kids. So it's like, hey, like, this is so fun. We all get along and the kids are great. And the parents are great. And I know your family dynamic.
And I know what it's like in your house. And I know what, like, I know as a parent, like what your, your hard lines are, what your morals are, what you're trying, how you're trying to raise your kids. It's just really quite lovely. It's, it's simple. It's, it's simple. And I remember my friend who lives in New York recently said, because her life was a bit chaotic. And she's like, you know, there's like a quote about boredom, like boredom's gift, or like, like, if your life is like, like, you get to go for dinner and come home and go to sleep. And like, it's like, quote, unquote, boring. Yeah, it's a gift. Yeah. Because the alternative is greater bad. And life isn't often the gift of like kind of like, oh, it's kind of boring. It's kind of like, oh, that's great. Yeah, that means there's nothing traumatic happening. That's for sure. It's like, there's no phone calls. And there's no issues. There's no like, oh, my God.
It's just, it's like lovely. And then it's like, then you start to just like break into this world. But it made me think of like when your kids start like doing someone. And then thinking about getting serious with someone, and like, I think about, for like, Mark, I was in a different country. They didn't know my family. Like, that was so important or older, but still, it's like, so living with Landon, if you guys know her, she, Highlandon, she has a daughter who's graduate university. They went to family weekend in Michigan for her last family weekend. And it was like they were meeting her daughter's new boyfriend and the family. Oh, really? Yes. Oh, God. Now, there wasn't a lot of details because I don't think they shared that. So it was just kind of like, we're going to meet him and his family. How long have they been together? I don't, I mean, that wasn't privy to me to know. Like, they didn't share, share it with us. Yeah. And then they went for breakfast and like, they had like the family weekend
because they had met. Yeah. And I feel like that's at their school. On their terms in their world. Right now, it's our world, our house, our problems. Like, when they're in a way, they're like in, it's kind of their, their, their niche, they being the kids. Yeah. Like, their university, they are dating someone, like, they're happy. It's less, it's less in your face. It's less like, less management for us as parents, especially when they're older. And they've probably done it a few times. And you're like, oh, as long as he's a great girl or guy, you're like, that's great. It's like when it's new and you know, they don't have the experience or the, like, tools or the, it's like the bumps in the road to get to the place. Because with you and Mark, you would think that at that point, or they didn't think that much, that if you had met someone and they were dating,
either it wasn't going to work out because you guys lived in different countries or be your great. And it was going to work with it. I mean, I guess you would hope that. Yeah, because you also, you kind of trust your kids and you know, I think you trust your kids and you know that they're going to, when they're that age, but hopefully, yeah, they've learned to make better decisions. Maybe some don't. Yeah, but based on their history. Yeah, I guess you'd kind of like, what are you looking for? My water, I'm thirsty. Sorry, I found it. I was, I guess if you're, if your kid is continuously sort of, like, making bad decisions, it's, or like the people that, you know, the people are like, I always date an asshole or always. So by the time they get to college, they probably already, like, shown you that they're attracted to something that isn't going to, so it was so surprised when you meet them. And you're like, here we go again. Yeah, yeah. And they learn from the naughty ones or the ones who are not great. Or they don't and they keep making that decision. But by that time, you're almost prepared.
Yeah, for the one that's going to walk in. Yeah, rather than being like, whoa, this is way out of the blue. You know, it's so crazy when I hear teenagers or like, young people go, oh, yeah, I was in a terrible relationship for years. I'm like, how are you in a terrible relationship for years in your teens? Like, nobody's forcing you to stay in any of those situations. It's not like you're married. Like, I can't believe that when they say that. And like, the bachelor, like, 22 and they're like, I had a really traumatic relationship in my, you know, for four, what, what are you doing for four years in your teens having a bad relationship? Probably not knowing that it was bad until they were out of it. And then they were like, oh, that was bad. I shouldn't do that again. They learn experience. How do you stay that long in a bad relationship? I, oh, it just boggles my mind. I'm like, I, you know what boggles my mind? Why? That like, maybe I'm naive. I'm totally going to say I'm naive, maybe, maybe I don't know much. But like, in your life, if you can look at patterns, I will always go back to it. If you can see patterns, a behavior,
patterns of the people you hang out with, patterns of the situations that happen to you, patterns of situations you get yourself into, patterns. They're very insightful for your life. And if you heard for people to break their patterns, even if you're, if you're dating someone and their pattern, yeah, if their patterns, you can probably predict what they're going to look like in 10 years and 15 years. Patterns are like very insightful for people to understand behavior because they're not going to change unless they really want to change. I would take a lot. And if you have a child who you think is really always has problems because of other people. Look at the pattern because sometimes when my kids say like, everyone's weird, they're weird. I look and I'm like, if everybody's weird, but you, I'm going to maybe say you're the weird one. I'm going to say, I think this is a you thing and not a them thing.
I respect if you don't want to get in situations that you don't want to be in, so you're not doing that thing. Like a lot of kids, I think feel uncomfortable with drinking. And with being at parties where they don't want to do that behavior, so the word is weird, so they don't have to go. And then those people call you weird and you call them weird. And it just means you don't have things in common. Yes. Well, I always, you don't hate them. You just have something to come with them right now. So it's like weird though. It's like there's more words than weird. And like the pattern, if everyone isn't in your wheelhouse, that's a you thing. You need to search for a different group. Well, or you're okay with what you're doing. And I'm fine with that. But like, it's, how do I put it? It's like, if you just can look at what you're attracted to, who you hang out with, what you're looking at. Like it, and I think that's so insightful for our kids' behaviors too, is to like see where they're going to kind of end up. It's not shocking. No, it's really not. None of our kids are shocking right now, based on even how their birth story.
Oh, no. No one is a shock. No, I think it would probably be really hard if somebody put, like, um, through you for a loop. Because it was a loop because you weren't paying attention. Was the loop lookable? Like, could you have seen it? If a lot of people look back and they're like, oh, that makes sense. Every time I watch this one particular thing, they have the line in it every time. They're like, everything is perfect, but there were signs always there were signs. And I guess you can see signs if you want to see signs, or you can ignore the signs. Yeah, but it's like, yeah, it's like when you see, like, I said, I say, and I know I shouldn't say it. I say to my daughter. I'm like, life's not that, like things are not as complicated as they look. I know. And I'm also like, I feel like you're smarter than this. Yeah. I know that's a really bad thing to say, but like, I said last night, I really feel like you're smarter than this. Yeah, your mind is bigger than this, and you know it is. Don't get caught up in that. So what are we caught up in right now?
I know. Because I'm like, I'm really struggling here to empathize with your problems. I feel the same way sometimes. I'm just like, like, have I not taught you? Have I not taught you a little bit about perspective? Have I not taught you? And they have it without having any experience. I don't think so. Really? Unless they're old wise souls who just are beyond their years for whatever reason. And I do believe that that's because they have lived lives before. And so they've gained a wisdom. Oh my God, I love you into a psychic. Oh my gosh, how did it go? She has the recording. So I listened to it. How was it? So it was tear records, 12 minutes in New Orleans with her friend. I mean, I love psychics. I don't know how much she knew of her. They do ask questions that lead them on to the next part. I know. I kind of hate that. I know. Like, do this resonate with you? Or like things like where they,
I'm not like you should have been like, no. I know. And also like, those people, what we do know is they're good at reading people. So they can ask one question and learn so much about that human and what they want to hear. And everything's open and they talk really fast. Yeah. And they say lots of things. And then when you list and I'm like, that does not make sense. Like when you say what you what they said. Yeah. And I said, I do see some of what they're saying. But I think everybody might be able to see what they're saying. But I do believe in psychics. Yes, I do too. But I think that they're they're very rare. And to be a psychic, what I like is I don't like talking about the past. I don't like talking about death. I like talking about the future. Yeah. And if somebody says something very specific, I find that interesting because that is putting themselves out there by saying, I see something in our future. And a lot of them talk about love and heartbreak because people love that. And that's where people go often to psychics to find out about their love. Yeah. So they often go there. Did they say anything about her love? Not to her actually. I was like pretty like pretty was pretty like.
I said, this is what I'm going to take from it. So I'm going to tell you to her. It was based on the analogy. It's like I was trying to like piece it together because there was one thing they said. And then another thing I was like, that's contradicting what they just said. But life is like a casino. Okay. They said that or you're saying that. They said that. Oh, life's like a casino. Okay, go on. Okay. So you could go to a slot machine. Yeah. And play for hours. Yes. And not win anything is just lose. Yeah. Someone else could go right after you. Yeah. Put one quarter in and win. Yes. It doesn't mean you've lost in life. No. It wasn't your moment. That's not kind of like happiness isn't the slot machine that they win. It's a game. Life is a game. Oh, yes. So you you play the game. Yes. And you're not winning or losing. No, it's just a game. Yeah. And I was like, okay, I'm going to try to work with her here because then chip going on about the slot machines. Oh,
and I would like to have the analogy of a slot machine. Which she probably does a lot. Yeah. So I was trying to say to live to Olivia, I was like, the slot machine analogy is just that not nothing's that personal. And you're not you can't look at someone else and be like, I do that. And I'm not there. That's not fair. I'm like, so what she's saying is move through life like it's a game. Like it's personal. I like that. She didn't say that. But that's what I tried. Oh, that's what I'm trying to say to her. Because she was like life is a game. Yeah, slot machines. Some people are going to win. Some people aren't, but she didn't like wrap it up. So I think it was like trying to tell Olivia like it's a game. Play the game. Yeah. So I was and then she said something that a card being upside down. Like kids go and go to bars to be upside down because they like the way the world looks upside down. Yes.
I don't know if I believe I did have years where I preferred the way it looked upside down. Okay. I just and I wanted to find where you could go upside down. I don't like I don't love most of my life now. Upside down. But during those teenage years, I wanted it to be upside down. So she's like see the cards. If you pull an upside down card, you have to look at it from a different way. Like turn it around. Okay. I just like the bars, but all the kids love the bars. Yeah. But we like the bars. The reason we liked it because we liked feeling upside down. A baby. Yeah. I didn't never thought of that. Yeah. Okay. I'm breaking the rules like just to break the rules. She didn't say that, but you should put that in. Breaking the rules just to break the rules is wanting that feeling. And maybe not upside down. But just feeling like it's like, you know, just that feeling of like testing it, seeing if I can get away with it. Like what can I do? I feel like that's what kids are missing. So I was like, I said, I'm like, you're like, you guys are teenagers. It's like you should be thinking nothing else, but you're about yourself right now.
And like, you shouldn't be worried about the future. You should just really thinking of like, how's my hair look? Like, and because we know from perspective too, that even if you plan something today for the future, like it, the chances that that's where you'll end up are not so don't focus so much on that. Because then you're going to miss a lot of like the games along the way. I was like, you're so young. I was like, you should just be thinking about you, not what's coming. Just you really should wake up and be like, this is so fun. And then should that's what they're missing is what we had was, and I was talking to someone else recently about like, every all of these teenagers are all in the same boat, thinking about all of their futures and all of their things. And they're like, did you? I mean, I didn't think about it till grade 12 and 13. I was like, absolutely not at all. This is crazy. I'm like, I know they're missing out on the fundamental years of selfishness. Yeah. Of just being like, yeah, where are you going tonight?
I know. What do you want me for dinner? Where was so fun? They didn't, they don't have that. Even like, I mean, he's still young and whatever, but like, I don't like school. Like, I didn't look at school as school. I looked at school as an opportunity to be social. I know. Like, I see my friends. I see the boys. What am I going to wear? How do I look? Like, I didn't even really think about school. Like, you, and this, if this is the days where you're spending the most of your life, you should be having some fun while you're there. You have fun, but not too much fun. Yeah, yeah, but at least have a bit of fun. Like it. I know. So I was trying to tell her like, I'm like, I think the game of life is just moving a little bit more like a little like flow, flow state. I'm like, get in flow state. And she's like, why don't I'm like, flow state? Like, just get like, I actually have one who's always in flow state. I was like, it is like, that's flow state, where they're not thinking about. They're not worried about the future. They're not thinking about the future. They're not thinking about what's coming. They're just flow. Like, yes. And that's teeny-todd is flow.
I also feel like we put ourselves. I remember putting myself in some very like, naughty nature. And naughty, but also like, it was uncomfortable, but in a way that was exciting, you know, like, ending up in places. Well, that's why I said go on the trip. Yeah. And you just never know where you're going to end up or what situation you need to be in. I said, because she won on a trip with another mom and her friend. And I didn't really ask questions. I like didn't, I wasn't like, what is, what's this weird? I didn't even overflight numbers. I was just kind of like, have fun. Yeah. And I knew it would be hard. It would be like less than going on a trip sounds like such a privilege. And it is such a privilege. But there's a lot of unexpected. For a child or children or teenagers who in this day and age are so worried about the future, situations like that, where you're kind of out of control of your own situation is exactly the lesson. Yeah. And I was trying to teach that. I'm like, this is the lesson in that trip. Yeah. And it's so interesting how they have these brains of like, what should be and what shouldn't be.
And I'm like, oh, one day. And when you talk to, let's just take a quick break. Hi, this is Farnoosh Tarabi from So Money with Farnoosh Tarabi. And today I want to talk to you about Boost Mobile. When you talk to a teenager who lives in that free space, it's still reminiscent, like there's a couple that I talk to and they're like that. And it's very different than any of the kids that live in my house or are, you know,
but still having that same kind of way that we were, I love to see it, but and then of course those parents are worried about her not thinking about the future, you know? But like I also was saying, we were just, I was just out way on a trip, and I actually felt like I put myself in a situation that I like, I mean at this age, seven women who didn't know each other went on a vacation for their daughters. And I would say like, there was a lot of unknown, there was a lot of, and like, I don't think glad you could own room and weren't in the house. Yes, no, I would not like to share a house base like with people I don't know, but it went really well. And I think that a lot of us were like, we're going to do it for our daughters. And we're also going to like, you know, one mom wrote after like, I learned so much from you guys this week. And I learned about you and everyone, if they're outside of your bubble too, then you like hear about like, I mean, it's crazy when you ask people about their lives. And then you hear how they, and you're like, how did you do all that? Like, how was your life like that? Because meeting new people will do that to you.
But I was one of the moms that was there. Her son got very, very screwed in a flying situation where he was traveling for the first time alone. And he ended up getting flight canceled, ending up in a Detroit airport all by himself, all night long. And all I kept thinking was, and I tried to keep it to myself a little bit, because she's the mom. And she was obviously worried is like, he is growing so much right now. And she thought just putting them on a flight and have grandparents pick them up was going to be his journey. But oh my gosh. And I feel like the things that he saw and how he had to like, you know, calm himself and not get worried and figure it out and not get overwhelmed. And like, I'm like, he's, I think he's ready for being adulthood now. Send him away. Yeah. What happens if the flight attendants in charge in their under 12? Like what does the flight attendant do during that? Like, do they take them home with them? I don't know. Definitely not. Maybe she has to sit in the airport with them all night. She get paid more for that? I don't think so. But you know, you like pass over the thing and they look at the guardian of. I've seen that happen before. I'm always like, oh, that's so crazy that they're flying with the
I know with a little pouch around the thing. Yeah. Yeah. Brave. Those kids are brave. Once I went up, my mom sent my brother and I on a train to Ottawa alone. I very much remember that. I don't know how old we were or, but I remember, like, you know, I remember that being like, wow, we're all alone. I think I flew home by myself once. So right, I think you flew to like Europe alone. I did. Stay tuned. Just go spend Christmas with this lady. My daughter was like, you what? She's like, are you weren't nervous? And I'm like, I didn't. I said to her, I didn't have time to think about being nervous in life. There was no time to think about being nervous. And there was no choice. I just did it. And I was like, maybe in hindsight, you could look at coping skills and we could sit down and have conversations about it. And we could like dive because we could dive deeper into what I was feeling, but I didn't have the time to be like, how are you feeling at the moment? We just did. We just said, and I feel like for kids, there is so much time to think about what
they're thinking. I feel that I'm like, you need less time to think and feel and just go through it. And your body will just experience it. And then you'll have experience. And maturity is the thing. Yeah. You're like, biologically, maturing is an actual, like that's a fact. So in typically, they need to mature in order to, they're supposed to be a self-obsessed right now. That is like what they're supposed to do. And then you grow up and you can see outside of tomorrow. Yeah. I feel like they're skipping the self-obsessive. I feel like every time they get put in a situation, I will always have this joke that I really like. If it's pouring rain and they have to walk really far, I want them to do that. Because first of all, I see all the other kids doing it. But yet, if it rains, they call us or ask for an Uber, but I'm watching all these soaking wet kids walking far. And I hear because I see all of my kids training. Can you pick me up? Wait, nobody could pick me. Nobody could pick you and me up when it was raining. So I like that, that's just one small thing. But really, it symbolizes I want you to be in difficult situations.
And I want to see how you can handle it. Me and my daughter won't walk two blocks to school. And her mission is to graduate from high school and never have walked. There's been a couple of times. But her mission is to walk to school the least amount of times that she can't get her dad to do it almost every time. And he does. Yep. And he's annoyed every time. She's just like an expert. You know, when you walk somewhere and you get really hot. Yeah. And then you think it's hot when you get there. Yeah. She like, she hates that feeling. Okay. Well, what are you going to do in your life? I love it. And like, walk slower, slow down. I had to remind myself usually to slow down because I would be so hot when I got there. Just chill. You're not late. Slow down. We'll go earlier. Go earlier and slow down. Yeah. Instead of being like, it's impossible for me to walk fast and be hot when I get there. And when they're like, like overwhelmed or stressed or anxious, I'm like, you should be. You're a teenager. Feel that. That's what you do. I'm like, if you're angst. Congratulations. You're a teenager. You're stressed.
Good. I really do think I'm like, of course you should be. Yeah. This is your, your an alien. Yes. Be stressed. Be weird. Be like, be overwhelmed. Be anxious. I'm like, yes. That is a great feeling. Yeah. You need to learn that feeling. Yeah. Because that doesn't go away, but it gets easier to manage. Yes. With experience. Yes. I was like, so take it. Look at your earning it. Oh, good job. I had the one and he was going to school and they missed the bus. And it wasn't coming for like a long time. So he was going to be late to school. And he's like, I'm going to be late. And I'm like, in life, when you go to work, there's going to be times when you're going to be late. It's okay to be late sometimes because things happen in the city with the transportation. It's a pattern. It's a problem. Yeah. It's a pattern. It's a poem. But how are you handling it? And I'm pretty sure your teachers don't think that you're always late because you're late twice. Then it's a pattern. And it's not. So don't you worry about it. Yeah. No, they're, they're total. I just have to remind yourself when your kids ask you something that you know that either they could answer that question just as well as you could. Or you know, but you want them to figure out to not answer
the fucking question. I am always like, sometimes I'll, someone will ask you something and I'll answer. And why did I just answer that? Well, like number, oh, Instacart makes grocery shopping easier. Quick break and there are like facts like teenagers do and we shouldn't be surprised by it. One they will rebel and if the rebellion is stupid like they want to like pretend to go to somewhere they like I'm gonna go here for I'm gonna go live I'm gonna go live in the UK when I graduate amazing I love that you know when they say things to like they think are gonna make you
upset yeah that is I that's a I can't wait to see how that works out like how can I support you rather than mean like how are you gonna get a visa are you know just wow that sounds so amazing what what do you what do you plan to do there yeah they love to whatever their rebellion is yeah Chi Chi you're fine I feel like it's no longer like physical activity like I feel like it's no longer things they do like they're not like hold on they're not like ditching curfew on purpose like because there's no curfew anymore because they can take a new one and you know where they are before these to be a curfew because if they weren't home they were dead they have to find new ways to be rebellious yeah because you like your curfew is at nine I don't know where you are yeah but be home at nine yeah and if you're not home at nine so they could rebel and not come home at nine yeah but now they're like hey I'm on the sub on the thing is late even if they're lying to you you know where they are like they're rebellions like turning off their location yeah but you can still call them yeah like it like where are you yeah and if they're not like you know what I mean
it's no longer yeah they've got to find other things they've got a rebellion and each kid will rebel in different ways which is just their way of trying to be independent and they have to do it in order to live without you and if they don't do it then they're kind of co-dependent on you because they have to they have to not like you in order to grow up they kind of have to push you in order to like and not me not like you they just kind of have to like yeah they have to nudge you and you have to nudge them you have to go like this in order for growth to happen otherwise they're you're just doing everything for them yeah like a fact yeah which I think it happens a lot yeah you've got to I have this one thing where it's like I feel like I'm really nice mom I'm really they're really lucky to have me but when they like talk really rudely out of nowhere because maybe they're impatient or maybe they're whatever I overstimulate it over exactly I I if that's the only thing that we can argue about right now I'm going I'm going to put my foot down do not speak to me that way and I don't care who hears yeah well that's
parenting though yeah and that's rebellion too right that's like if you're gonna because they know they shouldn't do it so they're doing it totally and you're reminding them no no no no no this is my boundary and you don't talk to me that way it's just rebellion is pushing boundaries yeah whatever form it is because when people say like rebellion I'm like I do think there is rebellion it just doesn't always look like the TV totally whether like smoking and like getting arrested and actually a lot more of your kids are vaping than you realize um apparently oh yeah and a lot more are doing things that parents just don't know because you would never assume your kid would do it hmm there are a lot of naughty things out there oh I have to just tell you one funny thing I don't know if I already told you this I'm going through one of the rooms in a laundry basket and underneath some binders there's a full bottle of tequila it has not been opened and I was like why does this person want a bottle of tequila what kind of tequila is it that's really important a good one okay tricky right yeah so I walk up with it to the
kid and I'm like oh that was from your show um cat cats has marked told us to bring it home so it didn't get left behind I just forgot it was there damn hi this is Farnoosh Tarabi from so money with Farnoosh Tarabi and today I want to talk to you about boost mobile quick money tip stop paying a carrier tax if your phone bill feels trapped in a pricey plan this is your sign to unlock savings boost mobile helps you reset your spending with the $25 unlimited forever plan you can bring your own phone pay $25 and get unlimited wireless forever and that simple switch can unlock up to $600 in savings a year that's money you could put towards paying down debt investing or something that actually brings you joy those savings are based on average annual single line payment of AT&T Verizon and T-Mobile customers compared to 12 months on the boost mobile unlimited plan as of January 2026 for full offer details visit boost

we are walking yeah I think she's kind of exaggerating and joking but I was like no she's like I'll be home every weekend yeah no you're not no you said no no yes no you have to engage in your community you need to become a part of it can't keep coming home like what's the point of going if you if you keep coming home you can go to TM you yeah they've got great programs there yeah yeah like that oh we got to experience this going away thing yeah yeah you're gonna hold out you're gonna hold hold heavy on that yeah don't be weird don't be weird right coming home don't just live in it feel it so are you gonna say no this is a new Natalie this is a this is a bridge but we're not on it yet but the hell are you coming home for you trying to get away from your brothers why you want to come back if you're on room there and you're on space yeah I don't know
I'm not there I literally like what are you doing here you know there's a show a TV show called yeah and you know Chloe loves it yeah yeah yeah yeah and then it has the brother and the mom from everyone loves Raymond yeah and the brother goes to university okay I haven't watched it like 45 minutes away okay but he always comes home oh because his roommate sucks oh and he's hungry but he hasn't told them he's coming home like this wake up like what the hell are you doing you're he's like I just needed a good night's sleep and then you like just shrug the milk carton oh that is so relatable yeah and then one time he came home but went to his friend's house yeah and stayed and then he didn't tell the mom yeah but he was at his friend's house and she like walked by and looked at the thing and her sons in his friends for two nights and she's like you come home and you don't tell me and he's like what's the big deal I wasn't supposed to be home I'm just at his house and she's like you I was laughing because I was like because a lot of parents are feeling that yeah coming home well so you just but he comes home for not to see his parents he comes home to bed and to get away from his roommate yeah he he comes home to he's
do we get to meet the roommate yeah well yes he just says he gamer and he like he's just like he's like he just games all night so the TV's like going crazy and he's just like I just wanted to come and he's always trying to get laid axle oh how was he first year yeah and because he had left his girlfriend and he's always trying to just can't and he's like this is and then his girlfriend comes his ex girlfriend he's like is he cute he's just a dude okay like he's like the cool kid like yeah he's like yeah is he doing okay it's cool no he's failed three classes he hasn't told them either I just dropped out of three this is funny storyline I like that that's actually really relatable to like our like it's like a dude he's like I have to do call I mean I'm just school work here I just can't party like he's just like to party oh yeah anyways the point being is he comes home like not not for the right reasons he comes home to eat drink and go to sleep and then wake up and go back to school and they're like this is how do you get back they bought him like a really old really old like so old okay and then you probably take away his
car and then he'll wake up but I'm going to floor it out they're like why he's just like a maze just a good time he's just in the moment well if she comes home I what I'm gonna be hard for her to get home it's gonna be hard for her to get home and then also yeah it's gonna take so long just turn around go back and when if she has her own space and it's not you know with her three brothers and all of us in there and she feels a little bit of that calmness coming back might be even worse it's kind of good like you're not gonna have rules you'll just play it by year oh yeah no I don't and plus she's oh yeah she says she's gonna go visit her friends at other universities they're gonna come visit her Olivia's coming who's driving it's my face right now is looking like again delusional you're pretty fun when she goes to can visit her though yeah it's gonna be great yes we can go to it's a two hour drive and there's
no good hotels no it's not like she's going like that's great for kids great go have fun but like Olivia like I'm like it's two hours it's far away it's not like you're going like I love the maybe they're anywhere we can't don't like you're going every weekend to like like sure can't go have fun and go crazy go like okay I don't care but like that's too just well I guess they're two hours an hour two hours are very different like for them it might be fun yeah for us like what your daughter does every weekend I know and like zero complaints and transfers over I know that's again eight likely sick subway without blinking yeah it's true and travel everywhere there was no time when you're young garden didn't have a watch not a phone you just went you didn't know how long it took you to get somewhere now we know to the minute time for that oh it's almost time to go to our next podcast so yeah guys just not only is really bringing in some get a bubble back there yeah too
many kids have a bubble be so he's still there's a little one right now I know I know his bubble is expanding just time to keep it late all she getting a apartment with just me and him I mean it's just you don't want them to grow up too fast I know you know what I mean I do you guys know what I mean by that when you have a little or little or ones like they already grow up fast I know and then all of a sudden it's like so fast over it's like you're just only 11 yeah only 11 only 11 that's so tiny I can't believe they go to big boy school on grade seven yeah I know I like those schools that go up to grade eight but I I do say to my kids a lot she's 10 do not talk like that she is I know I was thinking that recently but like it's not fair it's not it's not fair I know but they're just so mature I know but I do like she doesn't need to do everything no she does not she I'm like do you she doesn't need that conversation like she's in grade five hmm hmm like you were like you were Easter Bunny I'm Christmas and like and like freaking tooth fairy that's what really really makes the difference between first middle third or first and second child it is
very very different yeah I said give her a tiny moment she's in elementary school mm-hmm like we're not even like I can't really tell the difference between people who have older siblings and not I was just even thinking about my trip yeah they're very different mm-hmm they are looser they younger ones they have to be look what they're dealing with in their siblings and they're kind of like harassed they're harassed and the old ones are wound up yeah it's like they're like trying to deal with them like it's like you know they're like screw you oh the other last sorry before we leave we're driving it was just more Chloe and I would you go pick something up and you want to come with us mm-hmm so this is what's going to be like soon yeah just the three of us yeah oh we can just hug you me just be like yeah wait took because we'll have you guys gone just love this huh yeah you and me yes I don't have to share you yeah just you mommy me totally so excited she's so cute so that's good okay guys do that cute
so just so easy because she just is like oh whipery on the wall bye bye you
