Finally, after many months of watching film debating players in their potential fits and more, we've arrived at the 2026 NFL draft. A few months gone, just like that in the blink of an eye. Now, it's time to find out which players are headed to which teams, which will create more speculation in debates. Knowing that, today, I wanted to give my final prediction for the Pittsburgh Steelers selection at number 21 overall. If you've read my final mock draft or heard me on the Terrible podcast draft round table earlier in the week, you know where I'm going. The Steelers will land Penn State's Venga Yawane in the first round, and they'll do so at number 21 overall. The general reaction to that has been he won't be there, and that's just silly to be. In a deep offensive tackle draft class, with many thinking a run will occur on the position in the first round, guard could and probably should yet push down the board. The league doesn't value it

1:04as much in the draft. In recent years, there's been on average one guard taken in the first round. Tyler Booker went number 12 to the Cowboys last year, but Dallas, well, they marched to the beat of their own drum. In 2024, Graham Barton, a tackle in college, went number 26 overall to Tampa Bay and kicked to center. He was the only interior offensive lineman drafted in the first round that year. 2023 saw Peter Skoronsky go at number 11 to Tennessee, but again, he was a college offensive tackle. They kicked inside, not a true guard. 2022 was the last time a true guard went in the first round, and that was Ken Yon Green out of Texas A&M to the Houston Texans at number 15, and that hasn't worked out well. So the position isn't as valued as tackle. They tend to fall. That's what's going to happen with Yawane. It's going to be a David Acastro like slide to Pittsburgh past Baltimore at number 14, and we'll give Pittsburgh a probable caliber piece at left guard for the next
