I'm Alex Kazzora What's the best way to think about an NFL draft prospect a discussion Dave and I had during Monday's full podcast? There's no wrong way just as there is no right way. It's a little bit different for everyone One old scouting adage is focus on what a player does well Not what he doesn't and I understand the sentiment think about how and or a player wins and how we can help a team That's ultimately what franchises are trying to accomplish. No one is chasing failure But I view it a little differently. I embrace the idea of grading a player with a critical lens There's a thousand plus players a team could theoretically draft each year to whittle that list down the seven or ten or in Pittsburgh's current case 12 picks you have to vet them and understand their flaws are their deal breakers

1:02Negatively working against a guy that takes him off your board. Is he a skimp? But are their injury are their character concerns?
