1:00Welcome to the terrible tag daily segment telling Steelers Nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazzora. Where in the world are Omar Khan and Mike McCarthy. We've quickly gotten an answer if the Steelers pro-day landscape would change post-Mike Tomlin. The team's decision makers are now a lot less visible. This week was a banner one of marquee pro-day events Wednesday being the largest. So the question loomed would they go to Ohio State, Alabama, or both? The answer, neither. Khan and McCarthy along with both coordinators Brian Angelico and Patrick Graham were apparently credentialed for Ohio State. But none of them turned up. Only assistant GM Andy Weidl and area scout Jim Ward attended. Why the change? I don't know. Why would you skip out on the workout? Where else are you that's more productive? The testing and drills aren't even the big

2:00element of the day. It's getting to know the person with a pro-day dinner, a workout conversation, watching the guy interact with teammates during a massive job interview that comes with tons of pressure. The team should use every chance to evaluate and gather information on prospects, making this a missed chance. And another and a long line of pro-days that Khan and McCarthy have skipped. Clemson, Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, you get the idea. Maybe there's a valid reason. Heck, maybe they were there for the dinner and just skip the workout that happened to Pittsburgh at Texas last year. But it's notable to see this change from Tomlin, a pro-day lifer to the current group and one I don't see a sound strategy.
