The SEC claims its schedules prove it is the best, but its coaches also cite those schedules when explaining why the conference is not winning championships. The league officially described nine conference games plus an annual power opponent as college football’s strongest schedule, while Drinkwitz says coaches now regret adopting the ninth game.
