With support from the Gates Foundation, American scientists and partners around the world have developed a new generation of bed nets that can kill up to 90% of mosquitoes exposed to them, helping cut malaria rates in half. The result? A safer, healthier future for everyone. The Gates Foundation, partners of human potential. Search Gatesfoundation.org slash mosquito to learn more. I'm so proud of you, Amazon. You have done it again. You know, y'all, it's like y'all have a goal to make one of the worst movies of the year every year.

That's their brand now. Yeah, and y'all have been over-achief as you've done about two or three who one year. But you always do at least one. You know, it's normally, it's because this is streaming. Now normally it would be a movie that would go on to everybody's radar, nobody we care, nobody would give a shit. But boy, y'all do such an amazing job. The world says, stop. You gotta look at this. You won't believe what you see in right here, man. Y'all are becoming two be with too much money. Ha ha ha ha. It's accurate. Yeah. It is crazy. What y'all are doing with these terrible movies. You have for the last two years, you have made at least our honorable mention list for the worst movies of the year. What's funny is you go on Amazon, Amazon Prime video. And these worst movies will be up there like trending. Like it's the first thing on the carousel. Yeah. And that's what we have for you today. People this year's gift is so far.

So far. You ain't done yet. Like hey, look, we told you they're over-achiefers. We could have at least one more. I don't know how you go top this one, but I believe in you Amazon. But right now, the number one movie on there is this gift to us right here. The runner. I've got a big day in court today. I've got football. I hate football. I love you, monkey. Love you, love. 99% of the defending someone is telling the right story. The drawing the narrative. Bitch. So old. Yeah. That man that dude right here, that's not even a character. That's just some guy. She just decided to get competitive with the star racing. Right. Because I say so, it's not a spoiler to talk about that. That was no reason to happen. No, no, no. Just shut you down. She runs. She runs. Yeah. I mean, like the shitty way she passed it, and it looked back at it. You bitch. You're a long ass bitch.

Every morning God didn't. I'll get you. No, I'm going to go to the good runner. I was thinking the average white guy. Yeah, I'm going to go to the good runner. I need to forget this time. I haven't forgotten my singmire. Who's this? Why are you on my songs, son? Because I have your son. What? This is a very simple game. You're following my rules. I know it lives. Do you know the excelsis hotel? Yes. Run to it. And there you go people. And that's when her ass starts running. Now, I don't want anybody to be confused with another movie called Runner. Think that they all. And Big Ass Alan Restricted. Yeah, people. So this actually looks like an episode to reach you with a big budget in oil Wilson doing a guest appearance. Right. I want to get out of the car right now. I want to get out the car. You said you wanted to get out. But it looks way better than what we're doing right now

with the runner. I legitimately hit play without seeing like the preview hadn't even loaded. I was like the runner got it. Uh-huh. And I looked it up on my phone. And I was like, oh, cool. I'm seeing a Reacher movie. Yeah. Yeah. As soon as Gal Gadot showed up on screen, I'm like, I have the wrong movie. Okay. I thought you waited for an hour. Yeah. What if I was just, what if I wasn't going to be in this? Yeah. She is Gal Gadot showed up. I was like, I'm watching the wrong movie. Yeah. Okay. Quick note. Because I have a friend who's Israeli and corrected me. It's, it's not good. Doe. It's, it's Gal Gadot. Gadot. Yeah. Okay. Gal Gadot. Yeah. Well, it is all bullshit. Yeah. Cuz people, let me tell you about this plot. So here, Gal Gadot. She's a high profile lawyer named Maya, who's about to test, who's about to, she's representing his witness. Who's about to testify against this formal Bob Boss. And as usual, these Bob bosses, they always have a contingency plan in place to take care of any rats out there.

And so this, the plan that my man here, oh boy, it's genius. Yeah. This fool proof. Cuz, cuz you'd be, have to be a fool to do it. Shit, right here, man. This boss hires a mystery man to kidnap her diabetic son. And he calls me to let her know that if she doesn't kill her client who's about to snitch and do it within a certain time. So you better run your ass off and do it. He's gone kill her son by her diabetic son by pumping him full of insulin drops until he overdoses and dies. And so now she must run and get to the client before he makes the court. All her son is gone forever. And it's a whole thing where you can't take a cab. You can take a Uber. You have to run. You like the run so goddamn much. Yeah. You have to run to do it. It's apparently Mr. Mystery Man.

You looked at all the maps today. Saw what times a 10. The trains are running and knows for sure that you can't take any of those and get them on time. So you better run your ass off over there. Which is the dumbest fucking plan I've ever heard. This shit is right at there with putting snakes on a plane. Except that made more sense. He's actually smarter. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, it was. It was like, okay, this is like that movie drop where this mystery man on the phone is making a person do all this crazy shit and an innocent person kill another person. And you like wouldn't it be a lot easier for you just kill him yourself? Yes. Yes. Like this person you've chosen could fail at any time. And you won't get your mission accomplished. Boy, you are you you you you just hit the tip of the iceberg with this man because people didn't. You are the hit man who was so fucking lazy. The hit gets the lawyer who's representing the client to go and do the hit.

But you shop on Craigslist again for him. Man, but he's not even lazy because he put so much work and to set up this mouse trap. That was so much more work than just killing the guy himself. You would have been. Yeah. You didn't know no snipers. You didn't know fucking the dead shot of somebody for this. I mean, you could just walk in and pop the dude or or somebody who actually knows what they're doing. Boy, this is the I was like that's the most convoluted. So complicated. So many things to go over that. The fucking lawyer. You can now to diabetic son and this fool must have sold himself on his hack and ability because not only did he have the fool, but he had that boy's diabetic thing with a pretty. His diabetic pup. You have to. You had to. She says it would disbelieve. She can't even believe this. How? Why would you do? Okay. How? It doesn't even have blue juice. Yeah. This fool had the diabetes dispenser.

I mean, these movies are gone crazy with what AI and what hacking can do. Yeah. This is always a warning to like, I don't put your stuff on Bluetooth. Don't have everything electronic because people can hack and tear your house against you and everything against you. I guess. I mean, look, I ain't got diabetes. Maybe that's the thing. I don't know. Like God damn. You know what? Let's just do shit the whole fashion way because apparently you can hack anything and hack and stuff. That was a big thing in the war. The world's movie too. Yeah. Yeah. Make people hack refrigerators now. So, hey, maybe I guess. Okay. I'll get you know what? Tell you what. I'm going to give you that one. Okay. I'm not going to give you that one because I had a rewind it. I thought he gave the kid a chocolate bar or some shit and sent him into a diabetic

shock. Oh, that would have been too easy. Oh, what did that? Oh, cookie. Where's the, where's the, where's the planning in that? Too easy. It has no planar. Yeah. I'm a reputation. Where's the, shouldn't that say, what? I'm feeling doesn't simply give a cookie. How are you talking about anyone? Man, he said this, but there's way done by this. It worked, my friends. Because I've listened, I've seen done by this in movies like this and they've worked. All you have to do is just keep things going fast and I guarantee you it's going to be about a month later. Somebody going to be like, hey, wait a minute. That one, the work, but you didn't know at the time because they knew how to make the movie entertaining. You know, if you had kept this movie being sort of a combination of Run Lola Run, which is what it's trying to be. What would be, is run Lola Run with, and speed with feet. Speed is some shoes or something. I don't know what you want to say, but it's a, it wants to be a combination of those

two movies. And if they kept the pace and at least some of the clever suspense of those movies, it might have worked with even some of the dumbest things in here. Well, I do think it keeps the pace going. I mean, a lot of it would, would kept me in it, wanting to see if I was right about who the mystery man was on the phone. I'm like, I'm pretty sure it's this active, but I got to see it. But yeah, the pace is always got going for it because it is constantly moving. And so hour 20 minutes. Right, right. It's super short. The funny thing is, it's like, my wife's been into this action, this thriller action movie kick lately. And so she Friday, she's watching it. And she's not all that discerning, but I could hear it from the other room. So the first half of it, I just listened to it. And then when I had her broke, at one point go like, this is a bunch of shit. No, no, no, no, she's actually kind of wrong about saying this is a bunch of bull shit. Put that bull in there. Cause that, cause that shit comes crashing to the room. What the fuck?

I, I spent my, I spent half this movie saying that, what you know why she says, and what the fuck is this? People, I know what tape was really what really makes it bad because you're right. It goes fast. It's a short movie. So what's the problem here? For me, I think what was getting me in here, it's, I, I, I, I've hardly ever seen a movie where editing is the, it's one of the worst edited movies I've seen. This year and a year before that. I mean, they just cut, cause I'd see what they're trying to do. They're trying to make it disorienting. They just cut and just cut sometimes. Yes, it's my secret, she's running. And it just said a fever dream. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, for now, face is all looking around like for no reason, but no reason, no reason. That's like about 50 dudes in the fucking bushes filming her. So you get every angle of her looking confused. Where are you? It's Martin. You're gonna want 100,000 followers. Are you here?

Hello? Hello. Hello? Hello? Now you listen to me. This game is over. Where are you? Now, yeah, take a breath. If you lay a finger on my forehead, I'm gonna kill you. If we're gonna do this, you need to calm down. How dare you tell me to calm down? Will you be defending in one of my cases? If you were. You have a logical mind. But sometimes, they feel that everybody part on this one. They're not surprised. They didn't feel bookers up on those and all kind of stuff. They're filming on lips and teeth and back ahead and neck. Oh boy. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Go back to running. Yeah. Why'd you stop? Keep going. But that's tame in comparison to some of the stuff they're doing here. Like I said, man, it's rare. I see a movie this bad because of the editing. The reason why it's like that is because there's nothing happening for most of this movie.

There's really not a whole lot of story here. So most of the, I'm saying what most of this movie is, most of this movie is her pissing off all of London either because when she starts running, she's either bumping into people. I want to. Oh. She's like bitch. She wants to whoop in. Sup man. Bring your ass back though. I didn't do that shit again. Put that phone back. It is really hard to make a protagonist have an annoying jogger that's on their phone the entire time. Yes. Yeah. She's bumping into people. She's either bumping into people are in their way. You doing it? Look where you going? She are. She's stealing people's shit. I'm giving it out man ran her ass down. Shit. He needs to be in the sequel. But you everybody wants the phone.

You can still a 90 ohms fall. She gonna chase your ass. Everybody wants the phone man. Or she's just being an asshole. What the fuck is she doing? What the fuck is she doing? That just like it when you're quiet. What's in your mind? What the hell are you doing? That's most of the dialogue in this movie. What the hell are you doing? What do you think you're doing? That damn it. What the fuck you think you are? She is such a nuisance. Man, even the dogs are getting pissed off. She became a lawyer. She was psychopaths like you and jail. Oh look. I'm gonna praise the party here too. But watch this dog is pissed. I'm for the fuck you going. You better run. People this movie, I tell you, the rest of the list up to that title. Because she's running. And I got to give it to her. She did a lot of running. You can't say that the movie lied. She runs an ass off here.

But that's another thing. Because a lot of movie is just again people. It's just turned. If she ain't running to people pissing people off bumping in the things, she just tired. Just huffing and puffing. And then this camera's all up on her face to just show you, oh, how exhausted I am. It's so much of that movie where the camera's on her. It's like, all right, you know what? A lot of this movie is just a bunch of filler, man. Because to make up for this, you saw they do a lot of quick shots, a lot of dizzying camera work, a lot of rapid cuts. You see it all through here. Through everything we showed you. It's meant to give a sense of being paranoid, being disoriented. But it's just a mess. It is so bad. And so much of this is so silly that I, people, I'm gonna tell you right now, I got to break the glass and do a roast on this on Tuesday. It's because there's so much I want to show people that I can't do right now.

Really? That's not a whole lot to it. Oh, man, you miss something. I'm not even showing you some of the craziest cuts. So like, when she ran to this funeral, man, I am not even showing you the craziest things that they cut to in this. And I'm going to continue to show you some crazy stuff here. Why is this bad that they keep doing these things with these edits? A lot of these cuts, because these cuts feel so random. They do. It doesn't, what the man, a lot of these cuts does not feel like people are reacting to her. It just, they cut the people doing nothing. You know what I'm saying? A lot of this is just cutting the people just, just doing just Monday. Shit, you know that they didn't see her. You know, they feel this like whatever, whatever he that person was reacting to. They shot that in a different city or a different day. Just a random dude, swimming. I just realized this movie is half as long as you take out those shots.

If you take out, look, if you take out shots, you think that's crazy? Like they really do. It's almost like the camera caught people doing things and they didn't know they would be a film. Like, what, like, first this radio, like, oh, this is a dude. Hey, what y'all doing over there? Put that camera on. Yeah, right. You're filming me. There's a dude that comes out in the beginning that's like a famous hobo. And I saw him and I was like, this is weird. Why is this in this movie? Like it does nothing. So, yeah, this whole movie is so much of random shots of random people throughout the city. I just wondered if the director got this and is way too much to the script. And he's like, I'm going to show you a lot of B-roll. Man, this movie, that's why I actually wrote down here. This movie is, it's like they, they finally shot it, took it to the editing room and realized, oh, man, we got about 30 minutes right there. And they use all the B-roll they shot. All of it. I'm like, really? I'm not, man, they cut the animals doing crazy shit. Like that dog ain't nothing, man.

They cut the like birds. They cut the people eating who don't know they being filmed. Cross the street. Take the alleyway behind King's College. What the fuck y'all doing? He's mad. These reactions shots are crazy. It's funny because it's film like a Nike commercial. Like a Nike commercial will have 10 seconds of people doing random shots of someone jogging and then the monologue starts of like, I run every day. Man, there's a part, let me see if I can find it here because there's a part here where it even just turns into, it turns into a music video. Let me see if I can find this right here because the cutting and like they really don't have a whole lot. So let me see if I can find this part here. So they, they don't have a whole lot to work with. So they, they just start getting creative. They start just taking artistic liberties with the, with, with effects and filters and shit.

Let me see if I can, see if I can find this here. What I'm thinking about. I see you over there. Don't start this shit girl. Let me start. Let me see. Oh, yeah, because I've got to pull this part up. But it really, see this, this, this assign when you actually do stuff. Like man, he used to do this in Scooby Doo. And other cartoons where those, they, they had no de plots. So they, they were stopping the middle of the, of the show and just do it like a, a, a music, my time. Oh, yeah. Our music video. And yeah, let me see here. And he put, picks it, can't take it. Let me out of here. Yeah. Seen enough. Let me see right here. Yeah, they just, and they just started doing all kind of crazy filters with it. Let me see. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Seen. I was like, what is happening? What's the, what the hell is going on? Because it wasn't like any kind of new plot point. It happened. It was just random. Yeah. It really was. And that music, eh eh eh, eh, eh eh, eh eh. And that zoom in to that location that's usually like to show you like, okay, now we're going to be right here. But that was just there. It gone and it meant nothing. I thought she was going to jump on those kids. Oh I thought she was going knock on them. And they all fall down there and touch each other. And you pull like to the one hand. They start to flip.

I'm going to go to the next one. Cut this off. You have a song about running. Let a lot of those right there. Damien Lewis. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, early on when they showed just a little bit of him.

A little bit of his face. I was like, yeah, I think that's Damien Lewis. I think that's what I like him. But those features, those, those, those, those, those, like, those, the lips, the, the, the lips or no lips and the lack of eyelashes. Yeah. I was like, yeah, I'm pretty sure it's Damien Lewis. Because he sounded like he's doing the Jason Statham in the press. But, and, and in the movies, you, because you don't see him most of the time. That's what Martin is saying. He was trying to guess. You see his crazy eyes are, everything down there. He, to show you, he, he's so kind of, he makes a crazy face. Is that why he became a lawyer to assert your will over violent men? Maybe he became a lawyer. It's like, it's like you and jail. Oh. That's me. Oh. And if that had enough, if that, if that crazy mouth and those crazy eyes ate enough to show you that he's crazy, he plays the, the crazy hand knife game. Oh, a mumbly pey. Yeah. Help me.

Kill's a fly with precision. That's how crazy I am. Yeah, people, I, look, I say this could have worked if you kept things moving fast, but even you know, I think it's a big, big if, because this story is so bad. They artificially inflate the plot by two or the only two or three things that happen in the middle of the movie are just roadblocks. Yeah, almost literally. Yeah. Yeah. That's true, man. It's like there's a, there's some forced subplotting here about her dark past and the, and the, the, the mystery man, the color trust, the user to, to, to, for, for, for inspiration for her, for her mission, but it feels so forced and it feels so funny that it makes the plan even see more stupid than it already is.

Right. It would have been better off not doing it. I know, I know, but they had, I, it felt like, well, we got to throw in something. Yeah. Because it just makes no sense why he would even contact her about this. Yeah. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, it's like sometimes these movies work when the protagonist is doing little things is, to, you know, to outsmart the villain. Yeah. And you're like, oh, yes, like a puzzle. Um, but with this, when it finally starts to get to the climax, I was like, well, at least we're selling down. Oh, no. And, um, and that's when it goes, oh, you thought that? No, that's what, well, even before that, to show you how stupid this, this, this guy is a fucking idiot that this mob boss hired. Of course, she messes up because she ain't built for this. Yeah. Which was a dumb plan that had the lawyer go kill your client. What that still blows my mind saying that? Mm-hmm. But, of course, she messes up the job and boy, the heat is on her. Oh, she, she, listen, forget the cops. All the London should have been chased by acid in this.

She pissed her body off. But she's hot now. But cops are on her. Like every cop in town is looking for her. And this fool still says, you got this. You know, I was like, the fuck? So you got the heat on you and you still don't go, I was like, man, fuck this. But yeah, what you're saying, boy, that, when they, they do the big reveal, like I thought, I thought we're done here. Okay, this is, this is stupid, but we're, we're about to cash out and everything is calm down. And then the reveal, I'll end up on my skull off. Boy, this dumbass twist, this twist. If you mean, twist it, I'm breaking my fucking back. Yeah, because this is this, boy, this dumbass twist is so bad. I was on the plane watching this. And when they did it, I swear to the people next to me, heard me say, bullshit. I'm saving the, I'm saving this twist. But when we do, this is one of the reasons why I said we got roasted because the movie,

I don't boy, you got some go. You got some balls. The movie stops to explain the twist just to show you how stupid it is. Yeah, the more it explains it. They do a breakdown. You're stupid or you think I'm stupid. They, they do, they pretty much do a chart breaking down the plan of this twist. And I was like, you just going to explain this how stupid you are. It's your movie you go right ahead. Like we could have stopped there. We could have stopped where, where, where this went. And you had to go, no, no, but you see, you said, my brother, what you don't understand is. Instead of the six minutes, he spent like explaining the twist, I would have preferred. So a necromancer shows up. I'm not, I'm three man twisted. It would have made as much sense, but now fucking wizard showed up. They changed everything. Right, right, right. Right. Right.

Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. I was like, I was like, your man in Swanson, they get with that twist, man. Holy shit. You got some nerve. I'm not gonna knock your ass out for this. So I could not, I was really, y'all. I was watching the movie. I was like, well, you know, this is just, this is just the movie that's got nothing going on. But boy, when they start doing the reactions, when they start putting on all that crazy B roll with the animals and everything when they got to this twist That said we boy, I have not seen anything this dumb this whole year Congratulations, Amazon You topped yourself. This is something that listen not the rest of the movie. I want to oversell it But this twist they got that's the world she caught on Ice Cube might have been in here might as well have been in here describing this on the note of ice cube

Time out on Amazon ever like putting a mysterious person behind a computer like no I literally feel like they have somebody out there that's just like do you have a script with somebody randomly vaguely behind a computer? We will make that move. Yeah, yeah, we can have whatever actors just Yeah, don't don't get me wrong What the world is there crown jewel crown jewel. Yeah, this thing this is not on that level, but it is so bad and It is so baffling the the editing decisions they made through the whole fucking film that I'm like man I I I really have to say It's a streaming movie, but it really is going to go home. I was list of the year because This is this is the equivalent. This is the bad equivalent of technical achievement I mean You the the razzie This is my mind is blown with this man and you question all the other talent on here man the director

Kevin McDonald did the last king of Scotland. I mean, that was like 40 years ago I helped you damn me when you put it that way. Yeah, how long ago was this? I mean maybe it's 20 20 something. Yeah The cinematographer, you know, we're talking about the crazy camera shots and everything I know he probably doesn't have anything to do with the editing, but the cinematography was the guy who did 28 days later And this this this cinematography look kind of cheap man And very gimmicky Yeah, folks. This is I can't wait to share more with y'all when we do this actual roast shit man Cuz it's just it's just again very puzzling decisions. They made here on a technical achievement This was first time director and you know editor and a DP You might go like well, you know, they're trying to do something you know trying to be mavericks and their next project when they'll live more mature Yeah, you go like I see some potential here. Yeah, I agree But you're not saying people who've been in the industry working for decades mark. What do you think this is man? Is it is it just

Is it just the the nature of the way people are working within certain things like this? You know, he did the last king of Scotland That was a movie that was meant for the out of the release this definitely does not have the same budget no And it's I imagine it was a not the same budget quicker turnaround. Yeah, quicker turnaround probably you know Amazon may have a lot of money. Don't mean he's spending a lot of money I think I would also gonna say about that, but yeah, I get what you say. Yeah, it's just just just the nature of what this guy's working in and not And sending thing against talent, but you know, I don't know I guess he was just working with them very limited means and very short time budget, but yeah, and you know you're working with forest Whitaker and Yeah, you know as opposed to God the good note Which I ain't gonna bag on her. I mean most of what she had to do was run and she does that very well Man, I was a lot. Yeah, I was actually and she and she actually emotes a bunch of this. I was going to actually say It would be easy to go in and have people come in and criticize her for this movie's failure. She deserves

Man look, she deserves some praise actually because she's doing the best that she can she is the the very least of the movies problems She's she's doing whatever she can and she's actually not doing a bad job in this compared to what she's working with So I ain't blaming her at all people want to blame her for political reasons. Maybe her past work She's doing the best she can here, man, and it's and She's doing wonders with this material. So I was gonna say it's kind of funny Given the title of the movie probably top three running that I've seen in the movie. Yeah There's so many all actors are awkward runners the entire time true True or you can tell when they're cutting to somebody else doing it. I will say on that note There's one of the cuts that they they've Straight on face shot. I'm like that's not gal. That is Yeah, stunt double. Yeah, no that's that's a couple of those shots about the same thing Yeah, y'all I mean needless to say Look, it ain't worth hating on actually laughter. Some of this it's also that's seen when she jumps off the bridge

I was like come on come on. Yeah, that's one of the seed. That's one of the things I want to get into a roast of that I was like the fuck you Well, anytime it's conflict in this movie.
